Huge second hand haul: clothes

I’ve been doing a lot of second hand shopping lately, and I thought I would share my finds with you. I’m going to do a two part haul; this one is all about the clothes, and then I’m going to do a separate post on the accessories.

Brun, navy og grøn ternet oversized blazer - second hand

I’ve been looking for an oversized blazer, and this one is perfect! I love the colours and pattern, and the quality is great.

Sort velour jakke med blomstermønster i rød, lilla, grøn og guldglimmer - second hand

This jacket is a mix of things I love; velvet, beautiful colours, and shoulder pads.

Hvid og sort zebraprint fleece jakke - second hand

This is one of those very tacky items that I’m not quite sure if I love or not, but I buy them anyways, because I love a styling challenge, and I often end up really liking those items.

Rød argyle sweater m. navy og gråt mønster - second hand

This red argyle jumper is so nice. It looks like it’s never been worn, and I love the colours.

Khakigrøn sweater m. beige mønster - second hand

I found this khaki green jumper the same day as I found the red argyle one, and I just loved the pattern.

Sort og beige sweater m. guld detaljer - second hand

And I’ve found more great jumpers recently. How nice is this one! Once again I love the pattern, and I also love the button detail. And the quality seems really nice too.

Navy og cremefarvet sweater m. turkis detaljer - second hand

This jumper is from the same brand as the previous one, and how incredible is the colour combination on this one! I’m really excited about all these jumpers.

Beige og cremefarvet rullekravetrøje - second hand

I also found this beige roll neck number, which looks like something a guy would wear in the early to mid 2000s, and I really don’t mind that.

Hvid kortærmet skjorte m. lyserødt, blåt og grønt mønster - second hand

I’ve also bought two button up blouses/shirts which are probably more appropriate for warmer weather, but I just couldn’t leave them behind, so I’ll save them in my closet and wear them in a few months. I love the colours and pattern of this one, and it has shoulder pads as well, which is always a plus in my book.

Navy kortærmet skjorte m. hvide og røde blomster - second hand

The other button up blouse I’ve purchased recently is the navy one with the cutest daisy print.

Lyseblå højtaljet denim nederdal - second hand

I more often find tops than I find bottoms at second hand stores, but this time around I did find a skirt and a pair of trousers/jeans. I’m always looking for the perfect denim skirt, and this one comes very close. It’s high waisted, it’s pretty much the perfect length, and the light wash gives it a strong ’80s vibe which I’m all about.

Beige slangeprint bukser - second hand

The pair of trousers (or I guess they’re jeans) that I’ve purchased and the last item in this part of the haul are these snake print ones. I’m really into animal print at the moment and these fit me perfectly, so I had to buy them. I guess they’re slightly tacky, but they remind me of Coyote Ugly and I love that film, so I might take some inspiration from there when styling these trousers.

Asos accessories + shoes haul

Here’s another January sales haul, I haven’t posted yet. It consists of accessories and one pair of shoes all from Asos.

I love berets, and I would love to have them in all colours, so I added these three to my collection; a navy one, a pink and blue checked one, and a lilac one.

DSC_6774

I’m really looking forward to spring. So much that I’ve already bought some new sunglasses. How fun and colourful are these three pairs! I have a feeling that the pink ones might become my favourites.

DSC_6781

Everyone, including me, are obsessed with hair clips, and I love these two pairs. I’ve already posted looks featuring both of these pairs of hair clips, and I’m not going to stop wearing them any time soon.

Lilla, lyserød, neutral slangeprint loafers - Asos

I’d had these snake print heeled loafers in my saved items for quite a while, and I’m so glad that I finally decided to get them. They feel a bit ’70s, which I obviously love, and I can’t wait to style these in a bunch of different ways.

MAC + Urban Decay haul

DSC_6722

I thought I would just do a quick little MAC and Urban Decay haul. I bought all of these products in the January sales apart from the MAC Cream Colour Base. The MAC Cream Colour Base in the shade Pearl was a Christmas present, and it’s a very nice cream highlighter. From MAC I also bought a travel size Strobe Cream (in the original shade Pinklite). It’s my first time trying MAC Strobe Cream, and I really like it. I’ve been using it together with primer, and it gives the skin a really nice glow. I also picked up a travel size MAC Fix+, a travel size Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray + a full size one; these are my favourite setting sprays. Lastly, I picked up the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer (in the shade Fair Neutral), which I’ve been wanting to try out for ages, and so far I really like it.

5 favourites – January

The first month of 2019 is now over, and I can sum it up in two words: work and freezing. Yes, pretty much all I did this month was work (and get a lot of use out of a couple of my Christmas presents which is featured in this favourites post), and it’s been freezing cold outside in Denmark (it actually snowed quite a bit today). I only have six more work days and then I have a week off, so I’m really looking forward to that. But anyways, let’s talk about some favourites.

DSC_6420

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny eye shadow palette: It’s no secret that I love Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and even though this was Jeffree’s second palette release, I didn’t buy it until recently. I’m so glad I finally did though, because I love this palette. The colours are stunning, and the pigmentation is fantastic. I can’t wait to create more gorgeous eye looks with this palette.

dsc_6740

Milani Strobe Light Instant Glow Powder (shade: Afterglow): I have another make-up favourite this month, and it’s this gorgeous highlighter. The shade is perfect, and the pigmentation is perfect. It has been my go-to highlighter the past couple of weeks, and I’ll definitely continue to use this.

natkingcole

A Portrait of Nat King Cole (album): I love Nat King Cole. He’s my favourite jazz musician/crooner. My favourite record is a Nat King Cole one, and this CD which I found at a second hand store between Christmas and New Year’s is also a favourite of mine. I’ve been listening to this CD on repeat this past month, and I’ll probably continue to do so.

thesims4seasons

The Sims 4 Seasons (computer game): I finally got this expansion pack (I got it for Christmas), so I’ve been playing The Sims 4 whenever I had the time. I’ve been playing The Sims games for the past 15 years or so, and I still absolutely love it.

chromecast

Google Chromecast: I don’t have any TV channels, so until this month I’ve been watching Netflix on my iPad, which is fine, but it’s nice to finally be able to watch TV series and films on a slightly bigger screen. I’ve also enjoyed watching YouTube videos on my TV though I still mostly watch those on my iPad (my iPad is my portable TV).

BeautyBay sale haul

dsc_6731

In the beginning of January, BeautyBay had a sale, so I purchased a few things; mainly eyeshadows and a single highlighter.

dsc_6758

I purchased two Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palettes, the first one being The Magic Mini palette. It’s the same as The Magic palette, the eyeshadow pans are just smaller, which I don’t mind at all. I haven’t played with this palette yet, but look how gorgeous the colours are! I’ve had The Saharan palette by Juvia’s Place for a while, and it’s so good, so I expect this palette to be just as good.

dsc_6750

I also picked up The Douce palette by Juvia’s Place. This one I have used once, and I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the pigmentation of the matte peachy pink shade called Créme, but the other shades I tried were very nice though.

dsc_6744

I’ve been wanting to try out the newer formulated eyeshadows from Wet n Wild for a while, so I purchased the Rosé in the Air palette. I’ve used this one twice so far, and I’m impressed! The pigmentation is great and they blend out very nicely. This is going to be the perfect travelling palette if I’m going away for a weekend or a few days in general.

dsc_6734

I absolutely love the Stila Magnificant Metals Glitter & Glow liquid eyeshadows, but they are quite expensive, so I only want to buy them on sale. Lucky for me, they were in the BeautyBay sale, so I purchased the shades Diamond Dust and Rose Gold Retro, and they are so pretty!

dsc_6740

The highlighter, I bought, is the Milani Strobe Light Instant Glow Powder in the shade Afterglow. I just thought it looked really pretty, and it is. I’m loving it so far.

First Fenty Beauty haul

dsc_6660

The Danish Sephora website is having a winter sale these days, and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to finally try out Fenty Beauty. I picked up one of the Killawatt Freestyle highlighters and two of the Mattemoiselle lipsticks.

dsc_6666dsc_6667

I decided to go with palest highlighter duo, and it’s in the shades Lightning Dust and Fire Crystal. Both shades are really pigmented, but as you can probably see, Fire Crystal is more intense and glittery compared to Lightning Dust. I’ve only worn each shade once so far, but they’re super pretty and I really like them. I really like the packaging too.

dsc_6669dsc_6671

I’ve been wanting to try this particular shade ever since the Mattemoiselle lipsticks launched, and it wasn’t on sale (the other shade was), but I decided that it was finally time to get it. The shade is called Saw-C and it’s such a fun, bright orange. It appears to have more yellow in it than my other orange lipsticks which is why I was drawn to this colour.

dsc_6673

I also purchased the shade Spanked which is a more neutral colour, and now that I’m really into wearing colourful eyeshadow at the moment, I thought I would add another neutral lipstick to my collection to go with those colourful looks.

Collective sale clothing haul

I’ve purchased a few pieces in different sales recently, and I thought I would share them with you.

Mørkegrøn kjole m. glimmer prikker - VRSRød kjole m. leopardmønster og flæseærmer - VRSHvid, navy og rød stribet rullekravetrøje - VRS

I’ve talked about the clothing brand VRS at several occations. It’s a brand carried by a Danish chain of supermarkets. Somestimes you can find some really nice pieces. I had actually tried on the green dress before and didn’t buy it initially, but when all clothing at my local supermarket was on sale last week, I decided to buy it. I think it’ll be the perfect dress to wear on Christmas Eve (in Denmark we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve). I also found the red dress and thought it would be a great holiday party dress. Lastly, I bought a stripy roll neck top, because you can never have too many roll neck tops or stripy tops for that matter.

Regnbuestribet dynejakke - Daisy Street

Multifarvet halstørklædeT-Rex strømper

I’ve also purchased a few pieces from Asos. The rainbow jacket is from Daisy Street, and the rainbow scarf is from Brave Soul (can you tell that I like all things rainbow). And obviously I couldn’t resist the adorable T-Rex socks.

Hvide støvler m. rund træhæl - TopshopLilac Cortez - Nike

Lastly, I ordered two pairs of shoes from Zalando. I’ve been craving both of these pairs for a while, and when both pairs were on sale, I had to get them. I’ve been wanting a pair of white boots for a long time, and I just loved these ones from Topshop. I love the elongated shape and the wooden heel. I absolutely love my classic white Nike Cortez, and I thought these lilac ones were really nice. There was only one pair left at the time I bought these, and they were in my size. It was meant to be.

Beauty Bay bragging rights haul

Leading up to Black Friday, Beauty Bay had a ‘bragging rights’ sale, and I bought a few things.

DSC_6419DSC_6420

I finally decided to buy the Jeffree Star Androgyny eye shadow palette. Jeffree Star eye shadows are some of my favourites, and the shades in this palette are gorgeous. I’m really looking forward to create lots of different eye looks using this palette.

DSC_6413

I already have one of these Milani blushers, and it’s one of my favourite blushers, so I decided to get a second shade. I chose the shade Blossomtime Rose, which is a warm peachy colour with a nice sheen to it.

DSC_6414

Lastly, I bought one of the Jouer Long-Wear Lip Toppers in the shade Funfetti. I’m not into lipgloss, but this just looked so pretty with all the different colours of glitter, so I thought I would give it a go.

5 favourites – November

It’s the last day of November which means that my favourite month starts tomorrow. I’ve been waiting for December and Christmas for so long now, and I can’t wait! You’ll be seeing a lot of christmassy outfits and hauls on my blog in December, but before we get into that let’s talk about some of my favourite things from the month of November.

Brun pelsjakke - second hand

Brown faux fur coat: It’s gotten a lot colder outside, so I’ve been wearing my winter coats lately. My most worn coat this past month is this faux fur coat that my sister found years ago at a second hand store. It’s just so nice and snuggly.

Blå slim mom jeans m. Mickey Mouse print - H&M

Mickey Mouse jeans: These jeans are just awesome. The fit is great, and I love the Mickey Mouse print. I’m wearing them here and here.

Blå glimmer sock boots m. chunky hæl - Monki

Blue glitter boots: This style of boot from Monki is so good! Last month I featured the checked version of these in my 5 favourites, and I love these blue glitter ones just as much.

Lilla hue

Purple beanie: I find it difficult to find the perfect beanie, but I think I might have found it in this purple Monki one. It fits well, and the colour is stunning.

elf HD undereye setting powder

e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer: I’ve never been a huge fan of loose powders (maybe I just don’t know how to use them properly), but I’ve really enjoyed using this undereye setting powder from e.l.f. It doesn’t feel cakey or dry on the skin, and it keeps my concealer crease-free all day. And it’s affordable too.

Jeffree Star Holiday 2018

DSC_6327DSC_6331DSC_6335

Jeffree Star released his 2018 holiday collection two weeks ago, and of course I picked up a handful of products from the collection. I purchased three of the Velour liquid lipsticks and one Velour lip scrub. The white iridescent packaging is stunning and the glitter is the icing on the cake. The lipstick shades that I picked up are Karma (warm khaki green), Hi, How are Ya? (red w. glitter), and Triggered (dark plum brown w. glitter). So far I’ve only worn Triggered and it was so pigmented and absolutely gorgeous. The lip scrub that I picked up is the salted caramel flavoured one, and I love everything salted caramel. I think Jeffree Star created another gorgeous holiday collection this year.
