5 favourites – February

February has come to an end which means that it’s time for my second ‘5 favourites’-post. Time just flies by, don’t you think?

Maybelline New York The Falsies Volum’ Express mascara: After watching a ton of Tanya Burr’s videos on YouTube (if you are interested in make-up and don’t already know about her YouTube channel you should definitely go check it out) where she recommends this mascara I’ve been wanting to try it, and it’s amazing! It has become my new favourite mascara, and if you wanna see how it looks on the lashes, I’m wearing it in all my make-up posts from the past month.

Smokey Noir 2

Rimmel London Glam’eyes quad eye shadow (colour: 001 Smokey Noir): Another beauty favourite this month has been this lovely eye shadow palette of grey shades. The thing I love about an eye shadow palette like this one is that you only need this one palette to create a pretty eye make-up look. I’m wearing it here, here, and here.

Skattejægerne: And now to something completely different, namely a TV show. I obviously didn’t bring a TV with me to England, but I’ve been watching a lot of Danish TV online (at DR1’s – a Danish TV channel – webpage). I’ve been especially fond of a TV show called Skattejægerne (an English translation would be something like Treasure Hunters) which is about some Danish people working with second hand furniture, decorative items, jewellery and so on. We often see them go shopping for items for their stores at flea markets and such, and I find it quite entertaining. I watched a lot of this type of TV shows last Summer as well, where my family and I went to flea markets ourselves.

Skittles: As I mentioned in my January favourites post I love sweets, and Skittles are just great. We don’t have Skittles in Denmark, so I’ll probably miss them when I go back home. My favourites are the Crazy Sours in the green bag.

All We Ever Do Is Say Goodbye – John Mayer: A song I’ve been listening a lot to this month is this lovely song by the amazing John Mayer from his Battle Studies album. I love pretty much everything about John Mayer’s music; his voice, melodies and lyrics. Especially the melody in the chorus of this song I find absolutely beautiful.

Horizontal lines

Here’s what I wore Monday last week (February 17). I really like the cardigan and turtleneck top together. Even though they have two different patterns, it works (I think) because of the similar colours and the fact that both items have horizontal lines.

Grå t-shirt m. Barbie print - Primark

I have a thing for loose fitted T-shirts with print, and it really made me smile the first time I saw this T-shirt in Primark, because I loved Barbie as a child and had a lot of it (I actually had my favourite dolls displayed in one of my bookshelves until I was quite old). I didn’t buy it the first time I saw it though, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I bought a couple of weeks later. It was only £6 (54,34 DKK – 7,28 € – 10,02 $).

Versatile eyes

Make-up from when I wore this outfit. As you might have noticed I really like this grey eye make-up look (also worn here and here), and one of the great things about this look is that pretty much any lip colour goes with it, among others this pretty pink lipstick from Rimmel called 130 Oxford St. Fuchsia.

Sporty vs. girly

This outfit is a week and a half old (from Thursday 13 February), so I’m a bit behind when it comes to posting outfits, but it’s just because I have so much else to blog about as well. Anyways, I really like the mix of sporty and girly in this outfit. The sneakers and cap automatically gives a sporty feel to the outfit, and I’m not a sporty kinda a girl, so adding a skater skirt, some pretty jewellery, and a pink lip made the outfit more girly and more me:)

(Skirt + cardigan + top + cap – H&M, tights – Primark, necklace – Gina Tricot, bracelet – bought in Paris, sneakers – Nike)

Black line

I haven’t blogged the past few days, because my mum has been visiting me, but now I’m back from my little blogging-break. So this is what my nails have looked like the past week. I used my new cute Filthy Gorgeous nail polish and one of my new nail art pens (I wrote about these nail products in this post). I really like how it turned out, and as mentioned before I’ve been wearing this nail design for a week now, and I only have very few chips, so I’m happy:)

Rather simple

Here’s what I wore last Tuesday. I decided to go with a red lip and a chained ear cuff to spice up this rather simple outfit a bit.

Nail gear

There is so much cool nail gear over here which is very hard to resist, especially when it reads ‘Leather look’ or ‘Denim look’. How could I leave those behind? Well, obviously I couldn’t. I bought them at Poundland (what an amazing store!), and of course I don’t know if my nails will actual look like leather or denim, but I had to find out. I haven’t tried them on yet, but I’ll get back to you when I have. The cute little round nail polish with a guitar pick on it (how cool is that!) is also from Poundland and the Nail art pens are from Primark. Now I have great opportunities to get creative:)

Purpleness, where are you?

Make-up from last Monday where I wore this outfit.  I’m wearing eye shadow palette number 1 from this post; the one called Dark Signature. I don’t think that name really fits the palette, because, as you can see, the shades are not very pigmented. I was a bit disappointed in this palette, but maybe I should just try it again, and see if I can maybe layer the shades, so they appear more visible. Besides the Rimmel palette I’m wearing Maybelline The Falsies mascara, The Body shop 05 Eye Definer in White (on my waterline) and Maybelline Colorsensational Shine Gloss 360 Stellar Berry lipgloss.
