5 favourites – March

This has been a very strange, very different month. For the whole world sadly. I’ve been working from home for the past 2,5 weeks, and let me tell you, I really miss going to work. I’m a teacher and I love teaching, but virtual teaching is not to be preferred in my opinion. But it’s better than no teaching at all. I haven’t written much about the current situation at all, and I’m not going to, but I have mentioned that I still get properly dressed and do my make-up every day to stay sane. In fact, I’ve actually been very inspired when it comes to outfits and make-up looks, and I have discovered some new favourites in those departments. So here goes; March favourites.

Topshop hoops

Flat hoop earrings: These flat hoops (I guess you can call them that) from Topshop has without a doubt been my most worn earrings this past month. I always love a good hoop, but there’s something I really like about these ones that makes me wear them all the time.

Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory): I very rarely find new foundations that I like as much as my favourite Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation, but I think I like this one (also by Maybelline) almost as much as the Fit Me one. It’s the only foundation I’ve been wearing since I did my first impressions one it, and that says a lot.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust palette: Another Jeffree Star palette, another winner. It’s really hard to beat the JS eyeshadow formula in my opinion, and purple is my favourite colour (and I’m loving purple eyeshadows at the moment), so this is just what I needed in my eyeshadow palette collection.

MAC Glow Play blush (shade: Grand): This new blush formula from MAC feels like a mix between a powder blush and a cream blush. I’m usually not into cream blushes, but I love this one. The texture, colour, and finish are all stunning.

Luther tv show

Luther (TV series): Now that I’ve had more time on my hands, I’ve also had time to start watching a new TV series, so my boyfriend and I have started watching Luther, and we’re really into it (at least I know I am). We are at season 3 now, and it just gets more and more intense. If you like crime series, this is a good one.

Just as great

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Orange and turquoise/teal look just as great together in a make-up look as they do in an outfit.

Stand out colour combo

Here’s what I wore Tuesday March 24. Orange and turquoise/teal is such a fun colour combo. It makes this casual outfit really stand out in my opinion.

Bleeding heart

Here’s the make-up I wore Friday March 20. I wanted to create another look with the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust palette, and I wanted to incorporate the red shade, Bleeding Heart. I was interested in seeing how it would work with the purple shades, and I think it worked quite well. This sure is a fun eye look.

Green, blue & yellow

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve never worn these colours together on my eye before, but I love how this eye look turned out. Doing my make-up and getting dressed brings me even more joy than usual these days.

Working from home

DSC_0068DSC_0069

Here’s what I wore Thursday March 19. It had been a while since the last time I wore this green jumpsuit, and I thought it would be perfect for a comfortable, but still put-together working-from-home outfit.

(Jumpsuit – Monki, roll neck top – VRS, boots – Asos)

Spring/summer shoes and more

I’m longing for spring and summer so badly, so I’ve purchased some spring and summer shoes that I can hopefully wear soon (meaning when it gets warmer and the current state of the world is better). I’ve also purchased a couple of accessories. I bought everything on Asos.

Lilac læderpumps m. gennemsigtig hæl - Asos

I love everything purple, and I thought these lilac leather heels from Asos’ own brand would be the perfect spring shoes.

Limegrønne pumps m. stropper og trekantet hæl - Asos

I haven’t had an obsession with a designer shoe brand in a very long time, but for the past couple of months I’ve been absolutely obsessed with Amina Muaddi shoes. Her designs are absolutely stunning, and I’m especially obsessed with the heels that look similar to the heels on this lime green pair of shoes from Asos. When you can’t afford expensive designer shoes, you’ll have to look for more affordable alternatives, and I think these are so fun.

Blå åbne mules m. firkantet sål - Public Desire

Another popular shoes designer right now is Bottega Veneta with their square designs and quilted designs (see next picture).  Once again, I went on the hunt for cheaper alternatives and found these cute bright blue heels from Public Desire. I’m so excited to style these.

Sorte quiltede mules - Boohoo

And speaking of quilted designs, I just loved these Boohoo sandals. They even have a fun heel, which makes them a bit different. I think these could turn out to be a go-to spring/summer shoe.

Bordeauxrød krokodilleprint taske m. multifarvet spænde - AsosStore røde øreringe fra South Beach

And lastly, a couple of accessories. The bag is from Asos own brand, and I just loved the deep burgundy color and the fun buckle. And my obsession with big earrings continues, so I thought these red marble like ones from South Beach would be fun to style.

A slice of orange crush

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. On my eyes, I’m wearing some shades from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Mini Breaker palette that I hadn’t worn before, but they seemed to match my dino shirt perfectly.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in Grand, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Postmodernist Peach. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Jeffree Star Mini Breaker palette (shades: Double Scoop + Orange Crush + Slice) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Coral Fixation)

Coolest shirt ever vol. 2

DSC_0050DSC_0048

Here’s what I wore Tuesday March 17. I really wanted to wear this incredible dinosaur shirt again, and this time I decided to wear it unbuttoned, though still over a roll neck top (because roll necks are the best).

(Shirt – Topman, roll neck top + jeans + belt – H&M, boots – second hand)
