5 favourites – June

The first summer month has come to an end, and what a month it was. I’ve been working so much in June like most teachers do due to exams. And because I’ve been working so much this whole year actually I have an extra long summer holiday, which is so needed. Weatherwise it’s become summer in Denmark as well, which is lovely, however, some days (like today) are almost too hot. Anyways, we’re here to talk about favourites, and my June favourites are a mixed bag of things, so let’s talk about them.

Blue retro floral pleated trousers: It’ll still be quite a while before I get around to posting the haul including these trousers from Monki, but I’ve been loving them for the past couple of months (so not just in June), so I thought I would give them a shout out. They’re so comfortable, and I love their retro vibe.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Flawless Brightening concealer (shade: Fair 10 C): Here’s another product I haven’t hauled yet, but that I’ve been loving and using so much this past month. I remember not being sure about it in the beginning, but I’m like that with most products; the more I use them and get to know them, the more I usually love them. I typically don’t use this concealer alone, because it has a lighter coverage, but it’s a great brightening base.

MAC Boldly Bare lip pencil: I’ve had this lip pencil for a couple of years now, and it’s my go-to pinky nude lip pencil, but I’ve never featured it in a 5 favourites before, so I thought it was about time. I really like MAC lip pencil in generel though.

Jurassic World: Dominion (film): I’ve featured the previous two Jurassic World films in past 5 favourites posts, so now we come full circle. Was this the best film in the Jurassic World series, probably not, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I especially loved the references to previous Jurassic films, since the original Jurassic Park is my favourite film of all time.

Sun Lolly – Raspberry-Liquorice: My last favourite this month is an edible one. Warmer weather is ice cream and popsicles weather. Sun Lolly popsicles are very common in Denmark, and this month I discovered a new flavour, Raspberry-Liquorice, and both my boyfriend and I are obsessed. You might find that liquorice in a popsicle sounds strange, but it’s so good!

More bright pastels

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Some bright pastels (still not sure if that’s a thing) to match my bright pastel outfit.

Graphic eyeshadow

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s not often that I experiment with different eyeshadow shapes, but for some unknown reason I decided to do a more graphic eyeshadow look this day. It’s not my absolute favourite look, but it was fun trying out something different.

Navy hat

Here’s what I wore Thursday April 28. I really wanted to wear the navy hat that my late grandmother made for my mum many years ago and decided to pair it with plaids, my pink checkered dress, and cute red heels.

(Hat – made by my grandmother, dress – Monki, tights – Calzedonia, heels – Anna Field)

Asos 20% off everything haul (January)

I have a small Asos sale haul to share with you today, so let’s get started.

I’d had my eye on the sweater vest from Reclaimed Vintage for a while and decided that it was finally time to get it. Isn’t it just the cutest?

I also picked up another pair of fun tights. These black and white floral ones are from Skinnydip.

I’ve been wanted a beige/brown baker boy hat for a while and found this one from Stradivarius. I think it’ll be perfect for autumn.

I picked up two pairs of fun, colourful earrings from Glamorous. Both pairs are really cute and kind of retro looking.

Lastly, I bought the I Heart Revolution x Disney Fairytale setting powder and lip topper in Mulan. I’ve only worn the powder once, but I really didn’t like it, so I’ve actually already decluttered it from my collection. The gloss is a pretty standard light pink shimmer.

Three main colours

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to include all three main colours of my outfit in to my make-up look, and more specifically my eye look, and I think the look turned out quite fun. I actually really like pink and green together.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Cosmetics Blemish Fighting Putty primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – Rimmel The Multi-Tasker concealer (shade: 020 Fair) + NYX Born To Glow radiant concealer (shade: Pale), powders – Essence Brighten Up! Banana powder in 10 Bababanana + Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying powder in 021 Transparent. Face make-up: bronzer – The Balm Balm Desert bronzer/blush, blusher – Clinique Cheek Pop blush in 12 Pink Pop, highlighter – BH Cosmetics Aprés in Aspen highlighter palette (shades: Iced Out + Frosted AF). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – By BEAUTY BAY Jade Thirlwall x BEAUTY BAY 42 colour palette (shades: Intention + Full Moon + Capricorn + Jaded + Rose Quartz + Milky Way), mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Maybelline Colossal mascara + MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: Morphe x Nyane Color pencil in Unicorn Floss + MAC Glow Play lip balm in Pinking of You)

Floral wrap dress

Here’s what I wore Wednesday April 27. I haven’t hauled this floral wrap dress yet, but I can already say that I really like it, and I had a lot of fun pairing it with lime green and pink items.

(Dress – Monki, top + tights – H&M, headband + boots – Asos Design)

Smokey, glittery

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m always a little nervous about doing a black/grey smokey eye, because I’m afraid that my smaller eyes will disappear completely behind the dark colours, but I usually love how the looks turn out, and it’s no exception with this one.

(Base: primer – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless primer, foundation – L’Oreal Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear foundation (shade: 015 Porcelain), concealers – Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer (shade: 1 + 3), powder – e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer in Butta Bisquit, blusher – By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Lip & Cheek Duo in Pinocchio Shorts (cheek), highlighter – RMS Beauty Living Luminizer. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Cosmetics Cremated palette (shades: Deathblow + Wednesday + Grave Digger + Death Certificate + Pallbearer + Diamond Ashes), mascaras – Essence Volume Booster lash primer + Maybelline Colossal mascara + MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara, eyeliner – MAC Cobalt Kohl eye kohl. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: NYX Slide On, Glide On, Stay On & Definitely A Turn On Waterproof, Extreme Color lip liner in Red Tape + By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY Lip & Cheek Duo in Pinocchio Shorts (lip))

Very casual suit

Here’s what I wore Tuesday April 26. It had been a while since the last time I wore a suit-inspired look, so this day I went for a very casual version, and I quite like how the look turned out.

(Blazer + trousers – second hand, T-shirt – Asos Design, socks – H&M, sneakers – Nike)
