5 favourites – June

Another month has come to an end, and I can’t believe how fast time goes by. June was probably the toughest month ever exam wise, but now I’m enjoying my summer holiday. I wish the warm weather would come back soon though. Anyways, before we jump right into July, here’s some om my favourite things from the month of June.

Sorte gladiator sandaler - Vagabond

Black gladiator sandals by Vagabond: In the beginning of June the weather in Denmark was amazing, and I think I wore these sandals everyday for week. I bought them a couple of years ago, but the Danish weather is rarely warm enough to wear sandals, so I hadn’t used them much until recently. I love them because they remind me of something the characters from Disney’s Hercules would wear, and Hercules is my favourite Disney film.

MAC lip pencil in Soar: As I wrote here, I’d been wanting this lip pencil for so long, so when it was finally back in stock I purchased it, and I love it. It’s such a beautiful brown pink mauve colour that goes with so many different lip colours and it also looks gorgeous on its own.

MAC Prep + Prime Fix +: Another MAC product I’ve loved this past month and that I’m sure I’ll continue to love is the famous Fix + finishing spray. I love that this product has several purposes; it makes your skin look and feel lovely, and it’s amazing for intensifying eye shadows.

Marc Jacobs Honey perfume: I got this perfume about a year ago, and I’ve always loved it, but it’s been my go-to scent this past month because I find that it’s quite summery.

me before you

Me Before You (film): Ever since I first saw the trailer for this film, I knew I wanted to watch it. I went to the cinema with a friend two days ago to watch it, and I wasn’t disappointed. It was such a sweet film with lovely characters, and I would be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear (or two).

Into nude lips

Here’s what I wore Friday May 20. I love this black, white, and burgundy colour combination. And I love when you put together an outfit and then discover that everything you’re wearing is from the same brand.

Another beautybay haul

DSC_9741

I placed an order on Beautybay.com a little while ago and I thought I would show you what I purchased.

DSC_9762DSC_9765

The products I was most excited to try were the liquid lipsticks from L.A. Splash. I ordered three different kinds to test the formulas out, and I’ll make an updating post about these when I’ve tried all of them out. I got a Lip Couture in Ghoulish, a Studio Shine Lip Lustre in Catrina, and a Velvetmatte in Flix n Chill.

In my last Beautybay order I purchased two Makeup Geek blushers which I love, so I thought I would finally try out Makeup Geek eye shadows. I chose Cupcake (dusty pink) and Chickadee (warm yellow) which are both matte shadows. I haven’t worn Cupcake yet, but I’ve used Chickadee to warm up my crease a couple of times and it looked very pretty.

I also purchased two more Morphe brushes; M411 and M510. M411 is a more precise crease brush and M510 I use for highlighting. Morphe brushes are really good quality brushes for affordable prices.

Lastly, I purchased some Ardell Demi Wispies false lashes and some Duo lash adhesive. I would like to wear false lashes more often on special occasions.

And then I also got a free gift. I chose a sample size Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear brow gel which I’m excited to try out as soon as I’ve used up the brow gel I’m using at the moment.

Grey and pink

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really love grey and pink together, so I matched my make-up to my T-shirt.

Here’s what I wore Thursday May 19. I love a bit of pink, and I think these pink trousers and my grey Barbie T-shirt are a great match.

Latest MAC lippies

DSC_9693

I want to quickly show you my latest MAC purchases, because I’m really excited about them.

DSC_9688DSC_9696

First off is this gorgeous lipstick from the MAC x Chris Chang collection. I think this is one of the most beautiful packagings from a limited edition collection I’ve ever seen. The collection has five lipsticks and there was a couple of other shades I wanted as well, but they were sold out. I’m really happy I got my hands on this shade though, because it’s such a gorgeous yellow-based red which is my go-to kind of lip colour. It’s called Vermillion Vee and it has a matte finish.

DSC_9699

I also decided to finally pick up the lipstick in Faux which I’ve been swatching so many times at my local MAC store over the past many months. It’s a beautiful a mauvy pink nude and it has a satin finish.

DSC_9702

Lastly, I purchased the lip pencil in Soar which I’ve been wanting for a really long time as well, but it had been out of stock on the Danish MAC web page for ages. It was back for a short while and now it’s out of stock again, so I’m really glad I managed to get it, because it’s so beautiful.

That glow

DSC_9360rediDSC_9364redi

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love how fresh and glowy this make-up look is. I’d been wanting to wear this bright orange peach lip for a while, and I thought it was perfect with this light summery outfit.

(Base: primer – L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – L’Oréal True Match foundation (shade: 1.5 N Lin/Linen), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Banana + Vanilla) + Maybelline Fit Me pressed powder (shade: 105 Natural Ivory). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing powder (shade: 02 fair matte), blusher – Makeup Geek blusher in Bliss, highlighters – Essence Soo Glow! Cream to Powder highlighter in 10 Look on the Bright Side + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Bare Study, eye shadows – Sleek Storm eye shadow palette (shades: Calm Before Storm + Snow Storm) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting brow mascara in Transparent. Light colours and casual vibe

DSC_9351rediDSC_9350rediDSC_9349redi

Here’s what I wore Friday May 13. I love this outfit. I like the light colours and the casual vibe, and even though I’m wearing a (thin) sweater, I still think this outfit is quite summery.
