5 favourites – November

Tomorrow it’s finally December; my favourite month! It’s obviously my daughter’s first Christmas, and I can’t wait to celebrate it with her, my boyfriend, and the rest of my family. But first, I’m going to round-up November with some favourites. Even though I haven’t worn make-up that often this past month, all the favourites I’m going to feature in this post are make-up/beauty products. I do have other favourites, but they’re baby-related, so I won’t include those.

NYX Bare With Me concealer serum (shade: 02 Light): I’ve had this concealer for a while, and it wasn’t love at first try, but I’ve since discovered that it applies best with a concealer brush or with fingers. However, I do use a sponge lightly after I’ve applied it with a brush. It has a beautiful finish and texture, and I’ve grown to really enjoy this concealer.

Sigma Beauty Eyeshadow Base Primer (shade: Persuade): My MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly will probably always be my favourite eyeshadow base/primer, but I’ve been loving this Sigma Beauty Eyeshadow Base Primer lately, and it’s nice to have more than one great eyeshadow primer.

Oden’s Eye Christmas Eve palette + Merry Christmas palette: I know I haven’t hauled these palettes yet, and I’ve only worn each of them once so far, but I was so impressed by the quality and the colour stories that I had to feature them in this post. Oden’s Eye eyeshadows are becoming some of my favourites in general.

Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink liquid lipsticks: I’d heard great things about these liquid lipsticks, and I’m not disappointed. I’m actually really impressed by this formula, and now I want all the shades.

MAC Lip Conditioner: I think you’re supposed to use this product before you apply lipliner and lipstick, but I’ve been using it every night before bed for weeks now, and I’ve loved to use it that way. It’s very moisturising, and it has that classic MAC vanilla scent, which I love.

New, incredible blues

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You know how much I love a blue eye look, and I love finding new, incredible blue eyeshadows.

Collective sale make-up haul (October)

I have a collective sale make-up haul to share with you today. This haul includes a bunch of products I’ve been wanting to try plus some other random stuff.

I thought about picking up the Huda Beauty Lovefest collection for quite a while before I finally decided to do so. The Lovefest Obsessions palette is so pretty; I really like the orange and purple colour story.

From the Huda Beauty Lovefest collection I also picked up the Tear & Shade lip quad which comes with two Silk Balms and two Liquid Matte liquid lipsticks. Two of them are in orange shades, and the other two are deeper burgundy shades.

I got a few more shades of the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink liquid lipsticks, because I really like the formula. These are in the shades 35 Cheeky and 10 Lippy.

Now let’s move on to a mix of random products.

Recently, I’ve heard people talk about Clarins lip oils, so I decided to get two different versions; the Instant Comfort lip oil in 09 Chocolate and the Lip Oil Shimmer in 08 Burgundy Wine.

This Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Slim Lipstick in 22 Ironic Burgundy was very heavily discounted, so I thought I would try it out.

I love the NYX Ultimate Glow Shots liquid eyeshadows, so I bought another shade and it’s called 03 Come Thru Coconut.

This is my first ever Kylie Cosmetics product. It’s the Lip & Cheek Glow Balm in Pink Me Up, and it’s very pretty.

I love duochrome eyeshadows, so I purchased another Danessa Myricks Beauty Infinite Chrome Flakes. It’s in the shade Strobe Light. I also picked up the Layla Cosmetics Rarity Trichrome liquid eyeshadow in 04 Tanzanite.

Lastly, I bought the MAC Kiss It Twice Powder Kiss Liquid Duo: Pink, which comes with the two shades Billion $ Smile and A Little Tamed. I love this lipstick formula.

Black and gold

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I don’t remember if I’ve ever done a black and gold eye look (I usually do black and silver together), but that was the eye look I wanted to do that day, and I really like it. I think this whole make-up look is quite festive.

Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: Revolution Pro X Marilyn Monroe lip liner in Marilyn Red + MAC Lustreglass Sheer-Shine lipstick in Put A Bow On It)

Matching sweatsuit

Here’s what I wore Wednesday November 9. A matching sweatsuit is apparently the perfect attire for both a pandemic lock down and maternity leave.

(Sweatsuit (top and bottoms) + socks – H&M, shoes – Asos Design)

Enjoyment

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really miss doing my make-up every day, so when I find time to do it, I enjoy it even more than usual.

(Base: primer – Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup (shade: 00 Fair Light), foundation – L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude plumping tinted serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light), concealers – Sigma Beauty Spectrum Color-Correcting Duo in Light to Medium + Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer (shade: 3), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral. Face make-up: bronzer – Hourglass Ambient Lighting bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light, blusher – bareMinerals Gen Nude Blonzer in Kiss of Pink, highlighter – Kokie Cosmetics Soft Glow highlighter in Rosy. Collective Lyko haul (October)

I have a collective Lyko haul to share with you today. This haul includes a bunch of different brands and types of products.

I’ve heard such good things about the Sigma Beauty Eyeshadow Base Primers, so I wanted to try one out. I got the shade Persuade, and so far I’m really liking this product, maybe because it does a similar thing to the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, which is my favourite eyeshadow primer.

I’ve been wanting to try the Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup for quite a while. It’s supposed to be a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, however, I do think that this product has a bit more coverage, and I really like it. I purchased the shade 00 Fair Light.

I’ve been loving the Sigma Beauty Spectrum Color-Correcting Duo in Light to Medium, and I thought I would try a colour correcting product from the drugstore, so I picked up the Catrice Under Eye Brightener in 010 Light Rose. So far I like it, however, I still prefer the Sigma Beauty one.

I missed out on the Essence Pure Nude highlighter, but this Essence Make Me Glow baked highlighter in 10 It’s Glow Time! is supposed to be very similar. It’s a very pretty, more subtle highlighter.

I mainly picked up the Smashbox Be Legendary Monster of Horror lipstick in Dracula because of the packaging and the Halloween theme, but it’s also a pretty red shade.

I picked up three of the Essence Hidden Jungle Effect nail lacquers. They’re in the shades (from left to right) 06 Magical Emerald, 05 Forbitten Berry, and 02 Misty Shadows. I usually really like Essence nail polishes, so I’m excited to try these.

I also got this Lift Up Brow Styling Brush from Catrice. I think it’ll be nice to use with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze.

The last three items I purchased were the Essence Nail Art Duo Designer, the Essence Prime Like A Boss eyeshadow base, and the Kokie Cosmetics Soft Glow highlighter in Rosy.

I also got a By Lyko Moisturising Serum as a free gift with purchase. I haven’t tried Lyko’s own brand yet, so it’ll be interesting to try this serum.

Not intensely colourful

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This was the first time I wore make-up after having my daughter. It’s not the most intensely colourful look, but pretty nonetheless.

(Base: primer – Maybelline Instant Anti Age Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup (shade: 00 Fair Light), foundation – L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude plumping tinted serum (shade: 0,5-2 Very Light), concealers – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory) + Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer (shade: 00 Ivory), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Sigma Beauty Soft Focus setting powder in Vanilla Bean. Face make-up: bronzer – Huda Beauty Glowish Soft Radiance bronzing powder in 1 Light, blusher – Trixie Cosmetics Back to the Fuchsia blush palette (shade: Moon Boots), highlighter – Catrice Disney Villains Cruella highlighter palette in 020 Walk Like You Mean It Darling (shades: Extra + Luxurious). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Essence Disney Villains Ursula eyeshadow palette in 02 So Long Lover Boy (shades: Trouble Maker + Powerful + A Lovely Mess + Cecaelia), mascara – Pat McGrath Labs Dark Star mascara, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Lavender Blush. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Soda #browpurrfection Ultra Thin Brow Liner in 003 Kim. Lips: Tarte Maracuja Juicy lip plump in Cherry Blossom)
