5 favourites – April

April has come to an end, and we’ve finally experienced some warmer weather here in Denmark (though it is getting a bit colder again in a few days). I’ve been busy at work in April, but thankfully there was a holiday in the middle of the month. I had a lot of favourites in April, and these are my top 5.

Blå denim overalls - Monki

Denim overalls: I’d been wanting a pair of denim overalls for ages, and these Monki ones are exactly what I’d been looking for. I’ve worn them so much this past month; they’re just so comfy.

Wet n Wild Photofocus foundation (shade: Soft Ivory): I did a first impressions post on this foundation in March, and the more I’ve worn it the more I’ve liked it. The coverage is really good, and the staying power is great.

Revolution Conceal & Define concealer (shade: C2): I did a first impressions post on this concealer just last week (though I tested it and wrote down my first impressions in the beginning of April), and it has been my most used concealer this past month. I really enjoy the formula and the finish of this product.

avengers endgame

Avengers: Endgame (film): As the MCU fan that I am, I was really excited about this film, and it did not disappoint. It didn’t feel like a three hour long film, which definitely shows that it was entertaining all the way through. I can’t wait to re-watch this one day.

Paris, Lisboa – Salvador Sobral (album): I’ve featured Salvador Sobral’s music in several 5 favourites posts before, and in the end of March he came out with his second studio album. It’s such a beautiful album; I’ve been listening to it on repeat this past month, and I’ll probably continue to do so for quite a while still.

Jeffree Star Blue Blood palette

Jeffree Star Cosmetics is one of my favourite make-up brands, and I’m always excited about new launches. The only item from the Blue Blood collection that got me really excited was of course the Blue Blood palette. I’ve never seen an eyeshadow palette like this one before, and it’s absolutely stunning. The quality is fantastic as always, and I can’t wait to create tons of beautiful looks with this palette (some of which I’ll post of course).

Knitted sneakers

Here’s what I wore Tuesday April 23. It’s finally warm enough for me to wear my beloved Adidas Superstar 80s Primeknit sneakers again (the knitted fabric is very thin). I also hadn’t worn these beige trousers in over six months, so I had a lot of fun styling them again.

(Trousers – second hand, mesh top + T-shirt – H&M, belt – Asos, sneakers – Adidas)

Birthday party zebra

Here’s what I wore Friday (night) April 12. I went to my cousin’s birthday party. I really wanted to wear my zebra print jeans again, and I decided to dress them up with a shirt and a blazer, but I didn’t want to be too dressy, so I wore my Nike Cortez sneakers.

First impressions: Revolution Conceal & Define concealer

DSC_6872

I’ve heard so many great things about the Revolution Conceal & Define concealer, so I thought I would give it a try, and here are my first impressions.

The concealer has a very big doe-foot applicator, and at first I was a bit sceptic about that, but it’s actually really easy to use. The coverage is really good, and the product looks really smooth on the skin. It was really easy to blend out with a sponge, and it also blended in beautifully with my foundation. The picture was taken right after application, but the concealer still looked great after 12 hours of wear. It was really easy to remove with micellar cleasing water. All in all this is a great concealer, and it’s really affordable too.

Warm neutral and glittery

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love this warm neutral eye look. The glitter is one of the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow liquid eye shadows, and they’re some of the best glittery eye products.

Large second hand haul

I have quite a large second hand haul to share with you. I’ve accumulated these items over the past month, and I’m really excited to style them (I’ve already worn a few pieces).

Rød, grøn og gul ternet blazer - second handSort og hvid houndstooth mønstret oversized blazer - second handNavy og hvid gingham blazer - second handBeige blazer - second hand

I’ve purchased four blazers from the same second hand store on the same day. The red checked one is slightly oversized, and I love the print and colours of it. The black and white blazer is oversized as well, and I love the black collar, bottons, and pockets. The navy and white one is quite unique. It’s a shorter more fitted blazer, and I think it’ll be fun to style. The last blazer is a greenish beige colour I think, and it’s a more ladylike style of blazer.

Navy kortærmet skjorte m. tulipaner - second hand

Just about a week ago I found this tulip print short sleeve shirt. I love to wear this kind of shirt in the spring and summer.

Lilla, blå, orange og rød blomstet kjole m. knapper - second hand

Sorry about the bad quality of the picture, but this is a very cute floral summer dress. I love that it has bottons all the way down, and I love the colour scheme. I think it’ll be a perfect easy throw on summer piece.

Sort midi nederdel m. beige mønster og røde roser - second handSort tørklæde m. beige mønster og røde roser - second hand

I don’t recall ever seeing a matching skirt and scarf set before, so I had to get it. I’m excited about styling these both together and separately.

Rød, sort og blå mønstret tørklæde - second hand

I also bought another scarf. I love the colours and pattern of this one.

Beig ebælte m. firkantet sølvspænde - second hand

I always look at belts when I’m second hand shopping, and this is my latest belt find. I love the beige colour and the big square buckle.

Bordeauxrød dametaske - second hand (Belsac)Sort slouchy bucket taske m. fløjl - second hand (H&M)

I found two bags on the day I found the four blazers. The first one is a beautiful burgundy leather ladylike bag. I’ve been looking for this kind of bag for a while, and this one is so nice. I also found a corduroy bucket bag (which is originally from H&M), which I thought would come in handy.

Brune western støvler - second handSorte sandaler med farvede detaljer og blok hæl - second hand

Last but not least, I’ve purchased two pairs of shoes. I don’t find second hand shoes that I like very often, but I love these two pairs. Western boots have been trendy for a while know, and I got really excited when I found these brown ones. I love the length of the boots and the elongated toe. I also love the little black sandals. I think they’re very grandma chic, and how cute are the colour details around the cut-outs.

More blue please

Here’s the make-up I wore Thursday April 4. I initially wanted to do a more subtle blue eye look, but when I started applying the eyeshadows this is what happened, and I love it.
