5 favourites – April

I can’t believe that we are about to enter the last month of spring. April was a great month; I had a lot of great times in great company, but I was also quite busy with my studies. I’m sure I’ll continue to be busy, but also continue to have fun in the month to come, but before saying hello to May, I’m going to say goodbye to April by talking a bit about some of my favourite things from the month.

Slip-ons by Topshop: I bought these slip-ons when I was on exchange in England. I loved them then, and I love them just as much now. I’ve been wearing them a lot this month, because the weather has been quite nice.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks: Usually when I feature a make-up product in one of these posts, I pick a specific shade, but I have an incredible hard time choosing between these two gorgeous shades, and I’ve been wearing both equally as many times, so I had to feature both. These are amazing, and I’m so sad that you can’t buy them in Denmark, because I would love to own every single shade.

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit (highlight shade): Like the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets my sister bought this contour kit for me in London. I haven’t used the bronzing and contour shades that much yet (they’re a bit dark), but I’m loving the highlight shade. I use it to set and brighten my under eye area, and I also like to lightly apply it down the bridge of my nose and on my chin.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water: I’d heard a lot of good things about this cleansing water, so when I found it on sale I thought I would give it a go, and I love it. It easily removes any make-up and cleanses the skin. Best cleasing water I’ve tried so far.

Rita (Danish TV series): I usually don’t watch a lot of TV; I watch films and TV series on DVD, but that’s pretty much it. I’m not a big fan of Danish films, but I do enjoy a lot of Danish TV series. The past month or so the third season of Rita has been on TV. It’s a comedy/drama series about a very outspoken school teacher who deals with everyone else’s problems but her own. She’s single and now that all of her children have left home, she’s having a hard time living alone. It’s a series that deals with a lot of serious and real issues, but is funny at the same time and overall enjoyable in my opinion.

Greyish taupe and fuchsia pink

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve mentioned before that my MAC Girl About Town lipstick is one of my favourites and I love that it looks stunning with so many different eye looks.

(Eye make-up: base – Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe (40), eye shadows – MAC Keepsakes Plum Eyes eye shadow palette (shades: Subtly Elegant + Fashion Beat + Sensibility) + Stila All Over Shimmer Duo highlighter (lightest shade on browbone), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Old new shoes

Here’s what I wore Thursday April 9. I’ve had the shoes lying around for about 1,5 years, but I somehow didn’t get around to wear them until the day I was wearing this outfit. I’ve worn them several times since then though:)

Lovely skirt

Here’s the outfit and make-up I wore at my youngest sister’s birthday party Saturday April 4. I’m loving the skirt. I love how it can be worn in a quite casual, but feminine way as in these pictures, but you can also really dress it up which I did for a party a couple of weeks back. I’ll post that outfit in the nearest future.

Play with fire – part 2

Here’s the make-up I wore Thursday March 26. How amazing is that red lip colour! I really shouldn’t buy any make-up the next couple of months, but these Rimmel Provocalips liquid lipsticks are so good and I want more.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Semi-Sweet + White Chocolate + Marzipan) + Collection 2000 Dazzle Me! pigment in Enchanted 9, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in 550 Play With Fire)

A little e.l.f.

DSC_6263DSC_6267DSC_6268

I bought these e.l.f. products a little while back and I thought I would show them to you. I picked up another back-up of the Wet Gloss Lash & Brow Clear Mascara, because that stuff is just amazing. I use it to set my brows every single day. I also thought I would try out a couple of more brushes from the cheapest line, because I love the Eyeshadow brush. I decided to get the Eye Crease Brush and the Eyelash & Brow Wand. I’ve only used them once or twice so far, so I don’t have an opinion on them yet. Lastly, I bought a Matte Lip Color in the colour Tea Rose. I’ve only worn it a minute or so, because I decided to go with another lip colour that evening, but I looking forward to wearing it a whole day to see how it wears. I’m not sure the colour suits me though, but I’ll definitely try to make it work.

Easy to wear

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. A very simple, brightening, and easy to wear look.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shades: Bare + Fade) + Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shade: Kitten) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliners – Max Factor Kohl Pencil 020 Black + MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Comfy for studying

Here’s what I wore Monday March 23. I was studying for an exam that day, so I just wanted to wear something casual and comfortable.

Pretty neutral

Here’s the make-up I wore Friday March 13. I love this look. I think it’s so pretty. I’m wearing my two MAC Toledo lip products, and I think they look gorgeous together.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Créme Brulee + Hazelnut + Semi-Sweet + White Chocolate), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Max Factor Colour Perfection Eyeliner in Brown 30. Lips: MAC Oxblood lipstick & lipglass)

Four for the upper body

Sort sweatshirt m. gule bananer - H&MGrå sweatshirt - mbyMDenim mønstret ærmeløs skjorte - H&MDenim vest - Sisters Point

I love getting clothes from my sister that she doesn’t use anymore; it’s a nice way of saving some money. The last time I went home I got these four tops from her. I’ve already worn the banana sweatshirt, and I’ll post the outfit where I’m wearing it some other time. I’m wearing the grey sweatshirt right now, and at first I didn’t know whether I wanted it or not, because it’s quite wide, but I actually really like it. The sleeveless shirt is similar to one I already have, this one just has a pattern, and it’s perfect to wear underneath sweatshirts and sweater. I haven’t worn the denim vest yet, but I’m curious about coming up with different ways of styling it.
