5 favourites – August

August has come to and end, and tomorrow it’ll officially be autumn, which means that we’ll be one month closer to December. Yay! The weather has turned cooler, and I’m starting to feel the autumn vibes. So let’s say goodbye to the summer with some favourites from August.

Sølv øreringe fra loppemarked

Second hand silver earrings: I found these pretty, silver earrings at a flea market this summer, and I’ve worn them so much throughout August. I love the simple, sleek design, and they’re a great addition to my jewellery collection.

Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer

Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer: I’d heard so many good things about this concealer, so I finally decided to try it out, and I love it. I still love the Maybelline Fit Me concealer as well, but lately I’ve been grapping this one over the Fit Me.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Thirsty eye shadow palette: This is pretty much the perfect summer palette; it contains all the neutrals you’ll need + some beautiful pops of colour. I’m looking forward to create even more looks with this palette.

Physicians Formula Butter bronzer

Physicians Formula Butter bronzer: This is another product, I’ve heard such good things about, and I rarely buy new bronzers, because I love my Benefit Hoola bronzer so much, but this one is so good. I have the light version, and the colour is perfect for my skintone. It blends like a dream too.

Good Will Hunting (film): In my summer holiday, I bought a lot of DVD’s, one of them being Good Will Hunting. I’ve been wanting to watch this film for a while, and I loved it. I loved the story, and Matt Damon and Robin Williams played their characters so well.

Head scarf

Here’s what I wore Friday August 17. This outfit is very comfortable and a bit shapeless, which makes it slightly masculine, so to make it a bit more feminine I added a pretty head scarf.

(Culottes – H&M, blouse + scarf – second hand, sneakers – Adidas)

Crazy pastels

Here’s what I wore Wednesday August 15. These pink culottes are a bit crazy, but that’s why they’re great. And I hadn’t worn my pastel blue bomber jacket in ages, and I thought it was a perfect match for the culottes.

(Bomber jacket – second hand, culottes + T-shirt – Bershka, espadrillos – VRS)

Sale lipsticks

I recently found some Urban Decay and MAC lipsticks (+ lip pencil) on sale, and I couldn’t resist purchasing a few.

The Urban Decay lipsticks I bought are the ones made in collaboration with Youtuber Kristen Leanne. I got all three shades and they’re called (from left to right) Bun Bun, Cloud9, and Spellbound. Bun Bun and Cloud9 are in the comfort matte finish from Urban Decay’s Vice lipstick range, and Spellbound is a mega matte lipstick. I love the matte lipsticks from Urban Decay and I love these shades.

The three lipsticks I got from MAC are (from left to right) Lightly Charred (light purply grey), Gwendolyn (deep grey), and Red Rock (bright red). I actually got Red Rock as a free gift with a MAC order, but I thought I would feature it in this post anyways, because it’s such a pretty red shade. They’re all matte formulas by the way. I also bought a lip pencil in the shade Fruit Cocktail, which is a peachy nude shade.

Classic, but not boring

Here’s what I wore Tuesday August 14. The combination of a pair of jeans, a T-shirt, and a blazer is a classic outfit, but it doesn’t have to be plain or boring. I really love this outfit, and I felt great in it.

(Jeans – H&M, blazer – second hand, T-shirt – Bershka, belt – Asos, sneakers – Adidas)

Small Zalando haul

I recently made a small order from Zalando, and I’m really excited to wear and style these items.

Hvid Clueless T-shirt - New Look

How awesome is this T-shirt! I love Clueless, and I love the fashion in Clueless (check out my film style icon post on Cher here). I also love graphic T-shirts, and New Look did a great job with this one.

Blå cropped mom jeans - WEEKDAY

I also bought a simple pair of mom jeans, because I felt like they were missig from my wardrobe. I think they’re look great styled with the Clueless T-shirt.

Lilac skuldertaske - Even&Odd

I love my red bucket bag from Topshop, and I thought this less structured bucket style bag from Even&Odd looked cute. I love the lilac colour.

Hvide sneakers m. Anders And - MOA (Master of Arts)

Last, but most certainly not least, my favourite purchase from this haul; Donald Duck sneakers! These are from a brand called MOA (Master of Arts), and my jaw almost dropped when I saw these. They’re probably the cutest sneakers, I’ve ever seen, and I got them on sale too.

Yellow and orange

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve been loving yellow and orange eye make-up lately; it’s so fun and summery.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild CoverAll primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Instant Anti Age Eraser concealer (shade: 00 Ivory), powders – Wet n Wild MegaGlo contouring palette in Dulce De Leche (highlight shade + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Benefit Hoola bronzer, blusher – MAC Peaches powder blush, highlighter – Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Ice Cold. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Jeffree Star Thirsty palette (shades: Parched + Kumquat + Submerge) + MAC eye shadows (shades: Goldenrod + Nylon), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows – e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Pumpkin Pie)

Here’s what I wore on my birthday Wednesday August 8. It was really hot that day, and I had a full day of meetings, but after work, I got to celebrate the day with my family.
