5 favourites – December

It’s (finally) the last day of the strangest year of my life (and probably everyone else’s lives too), and sadly it’ll still take a while before everything goes back to “normal”. However, many good things happended to me in 2020 as well, so the year wasn’t all bad. New Year’s Eve is not my favourite night, but this year I’m actually looking forward to spend time with my family, eat good food, and dress up. But before we jump into the new year, let’s say goodbye to the old one and to the month of December, which was actually a great month, with some favourites.

Red and white christmassy gloves: December has been a cold month, so gloves have been a necessity, and I’ve been wearing these festive gloves almost every day. They’re super soft and super warm.

Golden Christmas charm bracelet: One of my favourite pieces of Christmas jewellery this year has been this charm bracelet from H&M. I’ve mostly worn golden jewellery in December, so this bracelet came in very handy. It’s just so cute and festive.

BH Cosmetics Naughty shadow palette: I’ve discovered many amazing eyeshadow palettes in 2020, and this one from BH Cosmetics has to be one of my favourites. It might be a Christmas themed palette, but I’m going to continue to use this all year round.

Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick (shade: The Perfect Red): Jeffree Star Cosmetics has some of the best red lipsticks in my opinion. The Velour liquid lipstick in Redrum has been my favourite lipstick for years, but this one is up there with my favourites. It really is the perfect red as the name suggests, and I love the formula too.

Green Book (film): I’d been wanting to watch this film ever since it released, and I finally got to do so in December, and it was even better than I thought it would be. This is a must watch film, and I’m sure it’s going to become a classic.

Back to purple

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s been quite a while since the last time I posted a purple eye look do to all the christmassy make-up looks I’ve been posting lately, and this is such a pretty purple look. I think it looks really nice paired with a soft peach lip.

Postponed twice

Here’s what I wore Sunday October 4. Yes, I’m back to where I left off right before I started posting my Christmas looks. I wore this outfit at my boyfriend’s cousin’s confirmation which had been postponed twice do to covid restrictions, but the most important thing is that we got to celebrate him, and I got to wear this beautiful vintage dress:)

Essence Ho Ho Home for X-mas

I usually dont’ buy beauty advent calendars, but I thought this one from Essence looked really cute, so I decided to treat myself. Some of the products inside are very cute, and I’ll definitely use them, and other’s are more gimmicky I guess, but the calender as a whole is fun and cute.

Here are the first six items from the calendar: Mini Matt Fixing powder, mini lipsticks (01 Feel The Magic! and 02 Spread The Love!), mini eyebrow tweezer, nail stickers, gift tags, and eyeshadow brush. I love the packaging on all the items; it’s super festive and cute. Of the these items, I’ve used some of the nail stickers and the eyeshadow brush. I’m also excited to try the fixing powder and the lipsticks.

The next six items were a kajal pencil, nourishing hand cream, mini metallic nail polish, I Heart Extreme volume mascara, charm bracelet, and colour changing lip balm. I’ve worn the metallic nail polish and the lip balm, and I really like both.

The second to last six items were the following: Face jewels, glitter duo sharpener, mini high gloss top coat, eyebrow styler, hair ties, and glitter lip topper. These items are not that exciting to me apart from the glitter lip topper and maybe the high gloss top coat.

And here are the last six items from the calendar: Make up remover towel, mini nail polish, notebook, mini highlighter stick, body jewellery tattoos, and mini highlighter brush. I’m excited to try the make up remover towel, and the nail polish looks pretty too.

If Essence makes a calendar again next year, I might consider getting it. Not all items are usuable for me, but I loved opening it every day in December, and the items sure are cute and festive.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Here’s what I wore yesterday December 24. We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve in Denmark, and I had such a lovely day and evening. I hope you all have a wonderful couple of days whatever you may be celebrating.

Two days in a row

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. For once I decided to wear a cool-toned grey/silver eye look instead of green or gold or blue or red, which are the colours I’ve worn on my eyes in December. And I usually don’t wear the same lipstick two days in a row, but I just love the shade and formula of this Too Face Melted Matte liquid lipstick.

(Base: primer – Essence Bloom Baby, Bloom! Healthy Glow Primer Oil in 01 Violet It Bloom, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Ethereal Light) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Bronzer – Milani Silky Matte Bronzing powder in Sun Light, blusher – MAC Desert Rose powder blush, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Let It Glow. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Cremated palette (shades: Casket Ready + Eulogy) + Jeffree Star Conspiracy palette (shades: Spiraling + Diet Cola + Ranch), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – MAC Technakohl liner in Sterling Silver. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear lipstick in Candy Cane)

Big red bow

Here’s what I’m wearing today Wednesday December 23. I can’t believe that it’s already Christmas Eve tomorrow (we celebrate Christmas on the 24th in Denmark), and I’m so excited! So excited that I decided to wear a big red bow in my hair today, and I feel a bit like a Christmas present:)

Monochromatic red 2.0

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to go with a monochromatic red make-up look today, because I haven’t worn many red eye looks this December.
