5 favourites – December

Happy New Year! Another year has come to an end, and what a year! My biggest dream came true this year, when I became a mother in October, so it’s safe to say that 2022 was my favourite year so far. I’m super excited about 2023; I’m sure it’s going to be a great year as well with many exciting things to come. But before we jump into the new year, let’s say goodbye to the old one with some December favourites.

Black velvet trousers (H&M): I haven’t hauled these trousers yet, but I have already featured them in a couple of outfit posts. They’re just super comfy, and you can easily dress them both up and down.

Silver glitter chunky heels (Monki): When I saw these heels from Monki, I just had to have them. They’re the perfect pair of party shoes, and I’ve worn them for all the festive occasions this holiday season.

Huda Beauty Glowish Blur Jam silicone-free smoothing primer: Here’s another item I haven’t hauled yet, but I’ve already worn this primer a lot. It has a very unique texture and it’s cooling on the skin, which I really like. And it really is smoothing as the name suggests.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter (shade: 1 Fair): I’ve been wanting to try this product since I first saw it. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, and this is a great dupe for it. It actually has a little more coverage than the Charlotte Tilbury one, and it just looks stunning on the skin.

Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator (shade: 20 Fair): I purchased this foundation a couple of months ago, but I didn’t get into using it until recently, and I’m really enjoying it. It has the perfect amount of coverage and I really like the finish.

Sephora haul – some holiday releases

I have a Sephora haul to share with you today. It includes holiday releases and more, and I’m really excited about these products.

I love Fenty Beauty cheek products, and when I saw the limited edition Double Cheek’d Up cream blush duo, I just had to have it. The shades are called Peony Droppa and Mali’booze, I’ve worn both shades, and they were super pretty on the cheeks. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I don’t buy a lot of Benefit products, but I’ve been intrigued by their blushes and highlighters for a while, and I thought their holiday cheek palettes looked so pretty this year, so I picked up the Cheek the Mail holiday set. The trio includes Terra blush, Hoola bronzer and Cookie highlighter. Terra is actually one of the new blush shades I really wanted to try, and I’ve been wanting to try Cookie highlighter for quite a while. I used to have Hoola bronzer in my collection and loved it, so this is a close to perfect face palette. The packaging is so cute as well.

Tarte is another brand that I’ve never really been interested in, but I’ve purchased a few products from the brand lately among other things this Precious Gems Amazonian Clay cheek palette, which includes five blush shades and the Park Ave Princess bronzer. If this palette had included a highlighter instead of one of the blush shades, it would have been a perfect travel palette.

I also bought the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Squad set, because I’ve been wanting to try the lip plump. This set came with the lip plump in the shade Cherry Blossom and a lipstick in the shade Rose. The lip plump feels very nice and minty on the lips.

I’ve added another Rare Beauty Kind Words matte lip liner and lipstick to my collection. Both are in the shade Wise.

I love the KVD Beauty Dazzle Stick long-wear eyeshadows, and when I saw that they released two new shades, I just had to have them both. The shades are called Green Flash and Heat Burst and both shades are super pretty.

Lastly, I got two free gifts; a Benefit Bad Gal Bang mascara and a KVD Beauty Mini Studded Kiss lipstick in Double Dare.

Cosmic rocks

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the Charlotte Tilbury Hypnotising Pop Shots eyeshadow in Cosmic Rocks on my eyes only with a bit of a matte neutral shade in the crease and an inner corner highlight, and it creates such an easy, pretty eye look.

Essence Happy Holidays advent calendar (2022)

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone’s enjoying the holidays. Once again, I purchased the Essence advent calendar, and these are the items it included.

The first six items in the calendar were a moisturising sheer lipstick, a colour correcting mattifying powder, an eyeshadow shader brush, a pocket glitter nail top coat, a brow wax pen, and star-shaped hydrogel eye patches.

The next six items were x-mas nail stickers, an overnight lip mask, an I Love Extreme crazy volume mascara, cuticle manicure sticks, a blushlighter, and an angled eyeshadow blender brush.

The second to last six items were the following: a pocket whitening nail base coat, braided hair ties, a Juicy Bomb shiny lipgloss in 04 Crazy Cherry, mattifying oil control paper, a duo sharpener, and an x-mas highlighter.

And the last six items in the calender were a kajal pencil eyeliner in 01 Black, a moisturising hand cream, a pocket nail polish, an eyeliner brush, a gradient glitter nail file, and a pH-reacting glitter lip glow.

I think these calendars are getting a bit repetitive. There are a lot of similar products every year. I’m not sure that I’m going to purchase it next year, but we’ll see.

Other colours than green

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Proof that I wear other colours than green on my eyes in December.

Collective Beauty Bay haul (October)

This is my second to last haul from October this year, and this is a collective Beauty Bay haul. It’s a mix of different eye and cheek products, so let’s get into it.

First up, eyeshadow. I didn’t pick up the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Banana Fetish palette when it initially launched, because I don’t wear yellow eye looks that often. However, I do really like mustard yellows, and the more I looked at this palette the more I liked the colour story, so I picked it up on sale. It’ll be featured in my next make-up look post.

I love the By BEAUTY BAY eyeshadow formulas (both matte and metallic), and I usually really enjoy their 20 pan palettes. This is the Dark Fantasy palette, which is this year’s holiday palette from By BEAUTY BAY, and I love this colour story. I wore it here, and I love the first look I created with it.

And let’s stick to holiday releases for a bit. I picked up the Revolution The Grinch x Revolution Mean One shadow palette and the Revolution The Grinch x Revolution Don’t Give a Grinch liquid eyeshadow set. I love the packaging and the colour story of the palette (I’m wearing it here), and so far I’ve only used the green liquid eyeshadow, but I really liked that too.

e.l.f. Cosmetics has really been stepping up their game this year and has launched some really great products. I really like the No Budge cream eyeshadows, so I picked up some more shades; Sand Dune and Oasis.

And speaking of e.l.f. Cosmetics, I’ve also been enjoying their No Budge shadow sticks, and their putty products.

I picked up the No Budge shadow stick in the shade Perfect Pearl, which is a pretty champagne colour. I also picked up another No Budge matte shadow stick, and it’s in the shade Thrift Shop.

I also purchased one more of the Luminous Putty blushes. This one is in the popular shade Maui. And at the same time, I got another No Budge cream eyeshadow, and it’s in the shade Canyon.

Now let’s move on to cheek products. I picked up another shade of the Made By Mitchell Blursh Lights liquid highlighters, because I really like this formula. This one is in the shade A Chance of Peach, and it’s a very unique highlighter shade to my collection.

I purchased my first product from Trixie Cosmetics. This is the Back to the Fuchsia blush palette, and I loved how unique and stunning these plum and purple shades are.

Lastly, as a free gift with purchase, I received the Sample Beauty Glitz Glue, which I’m excited to try.

Love them all

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I told you, I would be posting lots of green and red make-up looks, and I love them all.
