5 favourites – November

Finally! December is only one day away, and I’m so excited. November was a really tough month for me, but I’ve decorated my apartment and I’ve already worn festive jumpers for a week now, so the next month can only get better. But first, let’s talk about some November favourites.

Brun ruskindsfrakke m. faux fur for - second hand

Brown second hand coat: This coat was a part of my latest second hand haul. I wrote then that it was probably my favourite piece in the haul, and it sure is my most worn piece. It’s got ’70s vibes and it’s warm, and that’s all I want in a coat.

Essence The Highlighter (shade: 10 Heroic): I posted an Essence haul recently, and I love all the products in that haul, but this highlighter has been my favourite product. It’s such a beautiful highlighter, and I can’t believe how affordable it is.

The Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane body butter: Last year in my December favourites, I featured the Peppermint Candy Cane shower gel from The Body Shop. I loved that scent so much, and I was really lucky to get my hands on the body butter in the same scent recently. It’s too bad that it’s not a permanent scent, because it smells incredible (if you like the scent of peppermint and candy canes).

thesims4getfamous

The Sims 4 Get Famous (computer game): I got this The Sims 4 expansion pack for my birthday in August, but I hadn’t played the Sims in months, because I needed a new computer. But now that I’ve finally purchased a new computer, I’ve been playing the Sims again, and I’ve really enjoyed it in general, but I’ve especially enjoyed exploring this expansion pack.

Home for Christmas – ‘NSYNC (album): Last month I featured a old, classic Christmas album, and I’m still listening to that, but this month I’ve really been loving the ‘NSYNC Christmas album, which is actually not that new either now that I think about it. There are so many great songs on this album; ‘NSYNC does the best version of O Holy Night, but some of my most recent favourites include Home for Christmas and The Only Gift.

First impressions – Maybelline Lasting Fix make-up setting spray

DSC_8368

I swear by the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, but it’s not the cheapest option, so I thought I would give the Maybelline Lasting Fix make-up setting spray a try. It has a very fine mist, so you can barely feel it on the skin when you apply it (it’s much lighter and finer than the UD All Nighter). It’s also invisible on the skin. It has a slight make-upy scent, but it’s not too strong. They day I tested the setting spray for the first time, I wore my make-up just over 12 hours and it had held up very well. My skin was only a little bit shiny in the T-zone, but that’s normal for me, and it really wasn’t too bad. All in all, I think this a really good more affordable alternative to the UD All Nighter, even though I think I still like the All Nighter slightly better (that stuff is just so good).

Ruby obsessions

Here’s what I wore Tuesday October 29. I’ve never thought about pairing burgundy and beige before, but I really like those colours together. I’m especially loving the burgundy tights. I would love to have more pairs of coloured tights.

Essence haul

Essence is such an affordable brand, and they have so many great products. I’m really impressed by all the products in this haul, so I thought I would share them with you.

I love Essence nail polishes, and they recently created a line of neutral nail polishes and matching lip products called This Is Me. I purchased three of the nail polishes and the shades are (from left to right) 01 Freaky, 03 Bold, and 05 Legendary.

I also purchased four of the This Is Me lipsticks; 03 Bold, 04 Crazy, 05 Legendary, and 07 Enough. These lipsticks are creamy, really pigmented and has great staying power.

Essence has also launched some new blushes, highlighters and single eyeshadows, and I love all three products. The blush is called The Blush and I’ve got the shade 10 Befitting. The highlighter is called The Highlighter and I’ve got the shade 10 Heroic. And the eyeshadow is a matte cream colour called 05 Granny Pants, and I use it to set my base/primer.

Lastly, I’ve purchased some more nail polishes from their permanent line. The shades are 16 Fame Fatal and 52 Shine On Me, and I thought they would be perfect for the holiday season.

Colourful birthday brunch

Here’s what I wore Saturday October 26. I went to a family birthday brunch, and the weather was miserable, so I wanted to wear something warm. I thought my new second hand cardigan was perfect, so I put together this fun, colourful outfit.

(Jeans – Asos, cardigan + shirt + belt – second hand, bag – Zara, headband – Topshop, boots – Monki)

H&M sale haul + socks and headband

Grøn og hvid slangeprint bikini

I know it’s winter, but why not buy swimwear on sale. This snakeprint bikini is so cute and flattering, and I’m really excited to wear it even though it won’t be for a while.

Hvid T-shirt m. Titanic print - H&M

I can’t say no to a film related T-shirt, and I’ve been wanting a Titanic one for a while.

Gul, sort og cremefarvet mønstret plisséret maxi nederdel - H&M x Richard AllanStøvet grøn midi nederdel m. mønster - H&M x Richard Allan

The Richard Allan collab is probably my favourite H&M collab, so I was really excited to find these two beautiful skirts in the sale. I can’t wait to style them.

Sort og cremefarvet mønstret tørklæde - H&M x Richard Allan

This scarf is also from the Richard Allan collab, and it was also in the sale. I love the pattern and it’s so versatile.

Efterårsfarvede strømper

I love matching my socks to my outfit, so I thought these autumnal ones would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe.

Sort pandebånd

I lost my black headband that was very similar to this one on a bus last year, so I had to get myself a new one.
