5 favourites – May

The last month of spring has come to an end and by tomorrow it’ll be officially summer. Luckily, the Danish weather is amazing and very summery at the moment; too bad I have to be indoors most of the time to study for my exams. Anyways, I had quite a few favourites this month, but I managed to pick out five to share with you.

L’Oréal Nude Magique Cushion Dewy Glow foundation (shade: 01 Porcelain): I did a first impressions post on this foundation, and I still enjoy it. It’s actually the only foundation I’ve worn since I purchased it. It’s very easy to work with and it’s nice and glowy.

MAC Dunes At Dusk Gleamtones powder: This limited edition highlighting powder from MAC’s Vibe Tribe collection is so gorgeous. I’ve been wearing it a ton, and it’s quite different from any other highlighter I own, but so beautiful. Very summer appropriate in a way.

The Revenant (film): I had been wanting to watch The Revenant ever since it premiered, and I finally got to watch a few days before it stopped playing at the cinemas, and I’m so glad I did. It was a great film though very harsh, and it was beautifully shot. If I one day get the opportunity to watch again I definitely will.

Can’t Stop The Feeling – Justin Timberlake: I think a lot of you will agree with me when I say that Justin Timberlake is awesome. I’ve mentioned before that ‘N Sync is my all time favourite boyband, but JT has an incredible solo career as well. This song from the Trolls amimation film is so damn catchy, and I love it!

My first tattoo: My absolute favourite this month is my very first tattoo (no, it is not me being tattooed in the picture – it’s just a picture from Google Images). I’ve been wanting to get a tattoo since I was 15, and I’ve been wanting the specific tattoo that I got, since I was 16, and I’m so happy that I finally had it done. It turned out exactly how I wanted it, and I love it so much. I got the tattoo for me, and it’s one of a kind (unless someone else out there had the same strange idea), so I’m not going to show it to you (at least for now). I think it looks great, and I’m looking forward to having it on my body for the rest of my life.

All grey

Here’s the make-up I wore Sunday May 1. I didn’t really have any plans that Sunday other than I went to cinema in the evening, but I just felt like playing around with make-up, and I came up with this grey look.

Warm/cold

Blå jumpsuit - H&MGråmeleret sweater - H&M

Within the last few weeks I’ve bought these two pieces of clothing from H&M, and they represent the Danish spring/summer weather very well. Some days are really warm, others are quite cold. I wore the sweater a couple of days ago, but I haven’t had an opportunity to wear the playsuit yet. Hopefully I will soon.

Bright colours

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love this look! I decided to go colourful to match my dress, and even though I’m wearing green eyeliner, blue mascara on my bottom lashes, and hot pink lips, I still find this make-up look quite wearable.

Quite cute

Here’s what I wore Friday April 29. I never thought about wearing a T-shirt under a dress like this one, but I was a bit cold, and I actually think it’s quite cute.

Golds and berries

Here’s the make-up I wore Tuesday April 26. I think golds and purple/berry shades always look beautiful together.

MAC Vibe Tribe

I finally got my hands on a couple of products from the MAC Vibe Tribe collection which is this years main summer collection. As you can see the packaging is super pretty, and so are the actual products.

Of course I had to get one of the lipsticks. I chose the brightest one (no surprise there) and it’s this beautiful orange-red shade called Painted Sunset. It’s an amplified finish, so it’s really creamy and pigmented. I wore it yesterday and it’s the perfect red lip for summer.

I also couldn’t resist the Gleamtones powder which is a new type of powder from MAC. It’s called Dunes At Dusk and it’s a gorgeous highlighter. I guess you could also use the four shades individually as eye shadows, but I’ve been wearing all four colours swirled together as a highlighter and I’m so happy that it’s light enough for my pale skin. You could obviously also wear the different shades individually as highlighters or mix two or three of them together. So many options. I love it!

Inspired to use colour

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The sweatshirt really inspires me to use colour in my make-up look. This time I went for hot pink and lime green yellow (or whatever you would call that colour).

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: White Chocolate + Milk Chocolate + Champagne Truffle) + Collection 2000 Colour Intense Solo eye shadow in 11 Key Lime Pie, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: MAC Talking Points lip pencil + MAC No Faux Pas lipstick)

All black (almost)

Here’s what I wore Wednesday April 20. Some days I just feel like wearing all black, but I still like that this sweatshirt adds a bit of colour to the outfit. I also think the sweatshirt and the sneakers are a perfect match.

First time using Naked 2

DSC_9158DSC_9166

Here’s the make-up I wore Saturday April 16. I went to a summer/beach themed party and I didn’t have time to take pictures of my outfit, but I managed to snap a few pictures of my make-up. I wore shadows from my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for the first time that night, and I fell in love instantly.

(Base: primer – L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 HR Nude foundation (shade: 100 Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15), powders – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shades: Soft Light + Cream) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette (shade: Toffee) + Bourjois Délice de Poudre bronzing powder (shade: 51), blusher – I forgot to write it down, highlighter – the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer.
