5 favourites – February

For the first time ever since I started my ‘5 favourites’-series in 2014, I forgot to make the post on the last day of the month. So even though it says that this post was publiced on February 29, I actually made it on March 1. I guess that’s what happens when it’s leap year (or maybe that’s just a bad excuse). Anyways, here are my 5 favourites from February.

Sorte støvler m. firkantede snuder - Topshop

Black block heel boots: I’d been without a pair of black ankle boots with a block heel for quite a while, but then I bought these Topshop ones, and I quickly found out how much I’d missed having a pair of all black ankle boots like these. They go with everything, and they’re really comfortable.

Sort bæltetaske - H&M

Black belt bag: I was in desperate need of a new everyday belt bag, because my old leather one was fallen apart, and this one from H&M is a really nice alternative.

Silver pinky ring: I’ve been adding a few new rings to my collection of everyday go-to rings, and this little hexagon pinky ring from Asos is one of them. It’s really simple and cute, and it pairs well with my other rings.

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish (shade: Double Gleam): This is not only the most detailed and beautiful powder from MAC, the shade is also stunning, and I’ve worn it so much this past month. I’m really trying not to ruin the beautiful dragon design.

Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 (film): I thought I had watched this before, but I really don’t think I had. If I had I would have remembered stuff from this film. Anyways, I was very pleasantly surprised by how great it was; I had watched the first two films a few nights earlier, and I think this one was better than the second one (it’s hard to compete with the original).

Small Beauty Bay haul

DSC_9838

I’m almost out of my Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Redrum, which is my favourite lipstick, and it’s finally back in stock on Beauty Bay, so I had to get a back up. While I was on the website, I picked up I few other bits. I love the L.A. Girl Shockwave Neon eyeliners, and I didn’t have the shade Electric, so I picked it up. I also love the Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow palettes, and I found that there was new ones, so I picked op two of them; V. I. Purple and Stop Playing Safe. In the pictures underneath you can see close ups of the palettes. They’re so pretty. Lastly, I picked up a crease brush from Wet n Wild as well just to try it out.

All oversized

Here’s what I wore Monday February 17. I hadn’t worn the trousers nor the sweatshirt before, so I decided to wear them together and go for an oversized look. I added some pops of yellow to the look, and I quite like how it turned out.

More spring colour vibes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. My outfit had a springlike colour scheme, so of course I had to carry that theme on to my make-up look.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. Here’s what I wore Thursday February 13. It was cold out, so I wore a jumper and corduroy trousers, but the colour scheme screams spring. Am I the only one longing for spring?

(Scarf – second hand, jumper – H&M, trousers – Asos, socks – VRS, sneakers – Nike)

Small H&M haul

I recently bought just a few things from H&M that I want to share with you.

Blå denim midi nederdel - H&M

I’ve been wanting one of these long denim skirts for a while, so when I saw this on the H&M website, I had to have it. It’s just what I was looking for, and I can’t wait to wear it.

Sort midi nederdel m. hvide prikker - H&M

Polka dots is a huge trend right now, and I loved this midi skirt. I think it’ll be so much fun to style, maybe even with more polka dots.

Lysegrå sweatshirt m. Minnie Mouse og Andersine print - H&M

As the huge Disney fan that I am, I couldn’t resist this cute sweatshirt. I think it’ll look great paired the midi denim skirt.

Sort bæltetaske - H&M

Lastly, I purchased this belt bag. My everyday black leather belt bag was almost falling apart, so I need a new everyday bag and decided to give this one a go. So far I’m really liking it.

Lunch and board games

Here’s what I wore Monday February 10. Red and blue is one of my go-to colour combos, and I felt great in this outfit. I wore this out for lunch with a group of friends, whereafter we went to a board game café, and I had such a great time. I think this outfit made the day even better.

(Jacket + scarf + belt – second hand, sweater vest – Monki, shirt + jeans – H&M, bag + boots – Topshop)

MAC Loud and Clear + Glow Play blush

DSC_9633

I love limited edition collections from MAC, and this year’s spring collection is really simple yet really pretty. The collection is called Loud and Clear, and I purchased two products from the collection. I also purchased one of the new Glow Play blushes.

DSC_9651

Of course I had to get one of the lipsticks from the collection. This is the shade Sugar Sweet Cameo, and it has a matte finish. It’s described as a midtone coral pink.

DSC_9637

I also purchased the lighter shade of the two Extra Dimension Skinfinishes. It’s called Postmodernist Peach, and it’s described as a warm peachy gold. I’m wearing it today, and it’s really pretty.

MAC has created a new blush formula, which is a bouncy blush; it’s kind of a hybrid between a cream and a powder blush. I chose the shade Grand, which is described as a petal pink. I’ve applied it with both my fingers and a stippling brush and it’s works both ways. I might get a few more of these in the future.

Greens and hazel eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Man, I love green eye make-up! Especially olive green and khaki shades. I think those shades of green go well with my hazel eyes.
