5 favourites – January

The first month of the new decade will be over by tomorrow, which means that it’s time for the first favourites post of the year/decade. In contrast to many other people, I’ve not had the January blues. I’ve mainly been working, but I’m not as busy as I was in the autumn. All in all, I’m very happy and inspired. I’ve loved lots of things this past month, but I’ve narrowed it down to the following 5 favourites.

Hvide Air Force 1 Sage m. blå, orange og mint detaljer - Nike

Nike Air Force 1 Sage sneakers: I hauled these in the beginning of October last year, but I never got to wear them much until this month. I think they’re really cool and super comfortable, and I’ve had a lot of fun styling them.

Mickey Mouse ring: This little Mickey Mouse ring was a Christmas present from my parents, and I’ve worn it almost every day since Christmas. It’s definitely become one of my go-to rings.

H&M neglelak (Space Jam)

Pink/bronze glitter nail polish: This is one of the prettiest nail colours I’ve ever seen. It’s from H&M and it’s called Space Jam, and I’m pretty sure my sister has one as well that I borrowed from her last summer. I remember loving the colour, so I’m really happy that I found it in a H&M store, and it was even on sale.

Rocketman

Rocketman (film): I’ve been wanting to watch this film since it released, and man, it was good! The music and costumes were obviously incredible, and Taron Egerton did an amazing job playing Elton John. This is a must-watch film.

Half Way There – Busted (album): This is another Christmas present favourite. I’m a huge Busted fan, and this album is just plain great. I think I like this album better than the previous one, Night Driver (even though I do love a lot of the songs on that album too). It sounds like a mix of the old and the new Busted sounds, and I love that! The song that probably stands out the most from the rest on the album is All My friends, which also happens to be one of my favourites. You can check it out above.

Grandmother’s dress

Here’s what I wore Thursday January 23. This dress was my grandmother’s and she made it herself. I’ve probably had it for 10 years, but this was the first time I wore it. I don’t know why I hadn’t worn it sooner, because I love it.

(Dress – made by my grandmother, roll neck top – H&M, boots – second hand)

Zara sale shoe haul

This is my second January sales haul, and it’s all about Zara shoes + a shopper bag.

Fuchsia pink støvler - Zara

All the shoes in this haul are colourful, and brightest pair are these hot pink boots. I can’t wait to style these; both with neutrals and other bright colours.

Røde støvler m. lynlås foran og kitten heel - Zara

Red boots are a stable in my wardrobe, and I just loved the sleek look of these.

Røde lak sling backs - Zara

And speaking of red, I also got these red sling backs. I think these will pair nicely with so many different looks.

Lilla spidse stilettet m. plastik detaljer - Zara

The last pair of shoes that I purchased is this pair of indigo high heeled mules. Indigo/purple is my favourite colour, so I had to have these.

Brun shopper m. Mickey Mouse print - Zara

The only none shoe purchase I made was this Mickey Mouse shopper bag. It’s so cute and obviously perfect for shopping trips.

Matchy matchy make-up

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to use all the colours of my outfit in my make-up look, and I really like how it turned out. I love the colour combo.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Diffused Heat), highlighter – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Incandescent Strobe). Green, pink, and tiger print

Here’s what I wore Monday January 13. The day I bought the incredible pink corduroy skirt at the & Other Stories store I was wearing the green jumper, and I loved the combo, so I decided to wear the outfit for an entire day (instead of just for a brief moment in a fitting room). I added my tiger print knee high boots to make the outfit even more fun.

January sales: H&M haul

It’s hard to resist all the January sales, and I really tried not to buy too much. I’m not sure if I succeeded. This is the H&M haul.

Grøn slangeprint rullekravetrøje - H&MCremefarvet rullekravetrøje m. sorte polkaprikker - H&MSort og hvid houndstooth mønstret rullekravetrøje - H&MNude rullekravetrøje - H&M

I love the fitted roll neck tops from H&M, so I usually buy most of the colours and patterns they create. The polka dot one and the houndstooth one were not on sale, but the green snake print one and the plain nude one were.

Orange oversized cropped sweater - H&M

When I first received this oversized orange jumper, I was sure I liked the shape (the colour I love), but after trying it on with a few different bottoms, I started to see the potential.

Sort og hvid houndstooth mønstret midi nederdel m. bælte - H&M

Houndstooth (and polka dots) are some of the pattern trends for 2020, so I decided to get this belted midi skirt. I think it would be fun to style it with the houndstooth roll neck top and maybe some colourful shoes.

Blå slim cropped mom jeans m. Mickey Mouse print - H&M

I know I already have a pair of Mickey Mouse printed jeans, but these are not the same style + I can’t resist a Mickey print.

Grå strømpebukser m. bune og hvide tern el. striber (tykke) - H&M

Lastly, I added these checked/striped (?) grey tights to my growing tights collection. As I think I’ve mentioned before, I’m really into colourful and patterned tights at the moment.

Yellow orange lip

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I thought the yellow orange lipstick would be perfect with this outfit, and I have to say that I really like this lip colour even though it’s a bit of an unusual shade of orange when it comes to lip colours.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – MAC Peaches powder blush, highlighter – Laura Geller baked highlighter (shade: Portofino). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Juvia’s Place The Magic Mini palette (shades: Kesi + Nana + Yemoja), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Jeffree Star Velour lip liner in Allegedly + Lime Crime Unicorn lipstick in October)

Oversized Garfield

DSC_9461DSC_9463

Here’s what I wore Friday January 10. I bought the Garfield-printed oversized T-shirt dress last summer, but I just couldn’t figure out how to style it until I came up with this outfit. I really like how this look turned out; it’s so fun and youthful.

(Roll neck top – Monki, T-shirt dress + jeans – H&M, bag – Topshop, socks – Asos, sneakers – Nike)
