One of my sisters speaks highly about Essence eye shadows. More specifically the single eye shadows that you can put in a custom palette, and I thought about trying those out, but then I saw some new eye shadow palettes from their Trend Factory collection, and I chose to try out the one called In Love With Rose which is number 02 & Happily Ever After.
When you swatch the shadows with your fingers, the pigmentation seems decent, but as you can see that pigmentation doesn’t translate on to the eyelids; at least not with the lighter shades. They do blend out nicely though, and if you like a more subtle eye shadow look, these are very pretty. But be careful with the shimmery shades, because they have some fall out. The lasting power of the shadows were very good; I took the first picture right after applying my make-up and the second picture 12,5 hours later, and the eye shadows hadn’t changed much at all. Because I like pigmented eye shadows, I probably wouldn’t buy any more of these types of palettes from Essence, but I’m still curious about their single eye shadows, and I might try those out to see if the formula is different.
