Lyko haul – Essence and Catrice

It’s time for another Lyko haul. These are mainly skin care items and base products, and all the products are either from Essence or Catrice.

I’d heard good things about the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage foundation, so I thought I would give it try. I got the shade 005 Ivory Beige, which is a little dark on me, but I can make it work. I’ll be posting my first impressions on this foundation soon. I also got the Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage concealer in the shade 005 Light Natural. I’ve only used it a few times so far, so I haven’t formed a proper opinion on it yet. I think the rest of the products in the haul are from Essence. I got the Essence Glow Glow Go! Instant highlighter in 01 Fairy Lights, which is a natural looking liquid highlighter. I also got another Essence Prime+ Studio primer. This is the Poreless + Skin Blurring putty primer, and I’m really enjoying this primer.

This is the Essence Glimmer Glow lipstick, and even though it appears sheer it turns pink on the lips.

Then I purchased the Essence Skin Lovin’ Sensitive line. It consists of a concealer (shade: 05 Fair), a mineral powder (shade: 01 Translucent), and a primer. I’ll be making one first impressions post on all three products.

And now to the skin care products. I picked up three products from the Essence Hello, Good Stuff! line; the Milky face moisturizer, the face mask, and the Depuff eye serum. I’ve used the Milky face moisturizer a few times, but a few days after I’d used it a got lots of little spots on my forehead, so I’m not sure if it’s because of this moisturizer. I would have to try it again to make sure. I haven’t tried the face mask yet, but I quite enjoy the Depuff eye serum. I also purchased the Essence 24/7 hand cream & mask (I love hand creams), and the Essence Lip Care Booster lip serum, which I’ve only used a few times, so I’m not quite sure how I feel about it yet.

Feelunique haul: Mainly Natasha Denona

In my 5 favourites post from April, one of my favourites was Natasha Denona as a brand, and I mentioned that I would include many ND products in future hauls. You’ve already seen some of them, but this haul is all Natasha Denona products apart from one product. Let’s get in to it.

Shortly after I started getting in to Natasha Denona products (and especially palettes), she announced the Circo Loco palette, and as you can see, it’s right up my alley. It’s such a fun and colourful palette, and I just had to have it. I did get a discount on it, which was nice, because this is one of her bigger and more expensive palettes. But just look at it. It’s so beautiful!

The Sunrise palette was actually the first medium sized palette I purchased from Natasha Denona, even though I’ve already hauled the Love palette. It’s such a stunning warm-toned palette, and I’ve loved the looks I’ve created with it so far. I got it on sale btw.

At the same time as I purchased the Sunrise palette, I also purchased these three mini palettes; the Mini Nude, the Mini Love, and the Mini Tropic. I got the Mini Nude and the Mini Tropic on sale.

The Mini Nude palette is, as the name suggests, a nude palette. What I love about these mini palettes is that you can create a beautiful and cohesive look using just those five colours + they’re super travel friendly as well.

The Mini Love is just the most stunning little purple/pink palette. None of the shades are repeats from the Love palette, but they obviously go with the colour scheme of the Love palette, which is great.

The Mini Tropic palette is a mini version of the limited edition Tropic palette. I’m pretty sure this mini version is limited edition too, but you can still get it on Feelunique. The mini version includes the same five shades that make out the bottom row in the Tropic palette, and they’re definitely the five most exciting shades in the Tropic palette if you ask me, so I’m glad that I got the mini version.

The last ND in this haul are these three single eyeshadows that I got as a free gift with purchase. The red shade is Phlox from the Sunrise palette, the matte brown shade is Zand from the Camel palette, and the neutral metallic shade is Moonstone from the Eyeshadow Palette 5 #4.

The last product that I wanted to include in this haul, because I bought it together with the rest of these products (apart from the Circo Loco palette) is the e.l.f. Glow Gleam Beam highlighter palette in Light. It has six highligher shades in three different formulas/finishes. I’ve used many of the shades, and they’re very pretty.

Small, random Cocopanda haul

I have a small, sort of random Cocopanda (Danish online beauty store) haul to share with you today. I purchased some back-up Real Techniques Miracle complexion sponges, an e.l.f. small stibble brush, and another shade of the e.l.f. 16HR Camo concealer (matte finish). I got the shade Light Sand, and it’s a much better match for me compared to the previous shades I’ve tried. The e.l.f. Baked Blush in the shade Rich Rose was a free gift.

I purchased one more product from e.l.f. namely the HD Powder in Soft Luminance. It’s quite glowy, but also quite pretty.

I also bought one of the popular NYX Shine Loud High Pigment Lip Shine lipsticks. I picked up the shade Shake Things Up, which is a beautiful dark purple, and this lipstick really doesn’t go anywhere. So if you’re looking for a super long-lasting and pigmented lipstick give the NYX Shine Loud High Pigment Lip Shine a go.

The two most exciting products in this haul are both from Ofra. I purchased two collab products; the Ofra x Samantha March River bronzer duo and the Ofra x Steph Toms Milk & Cookies highlighter. I really like both of these products. I like the split pan designs, and all four shades are beautiful.

5 favourites – May

The last month of spring is coming to an end and by tomorrow it’ll officially be summer (if you ask the calendar). We are finally getting some warmer weather in Denmark as well, so it’s great timing. Anyways, let’s just get to it. Let’s talk about some favourites from the month of May.

Denim lace up boots: I was not sure how I would feel about these denim lace up (with a zipper on the side) boots from Monki when I first purchased them, but I love them. Denim is a neutral to me, so these boots are perfect for when you feel that neither black, white, or brown shoes go with your outfit.

NYX The Marshmellow primer: I’m sure that I’m not the only one who’s been enjoying this sweet-smelling primer from NYX. It’s popular for a reason; it feels nice and smooth on the skin and it smells great too. It hasn’t only been a favourite of mine for the past month, but for several months now, so I thought it was time to feature it in a favourites post.

Essence Lash Princess false lash effect mascara: I’ve been discovering so many great mascaras lately, this Essence mascara being another one. I’d heard great things about this mascara for years, and I’m so glad that I finally decided to try it. I’ll be posting my first impressions on it at some point where I’ll get in to more details about it.

Essence #pinkandproud Strong soapy brow styler (01 Stronger Than Yesterday!): It’ll still be a while before I get around to posting the haul that includes this soapy brow styler, but I had to include it in this post, because I’ve been loving it. It’s the first soap brow product I’ve tried, and there are probably better ones out there, but I’m still so impressed by the brow look I can create with this, and you can’t beat the price tag!

Kingsman: The Secret Service (film): I’d heard the name of this film, but hadn’t really any idea of what it was really about other than being a spy film, but I was pleasantly surprised by the over the top comedy sequences, and the cast is incredible. I also watched the sequel, and I really liked that one too, but the first one is my favourite. If you like action and comedy together, give this film a go. You won’t regret it.

20% off everything Asos haul

I haven’t posted an Asos haul since February, so I thought it was about time to post another one. I got everything in this haul 20% off, which is always nice:)

Let’s start with a couple of sweatshirts. I’m actually not sure if the brand of this sweatshirt is just Disney, but it’s all it says on the label. Anyways, you know how I feel about Disney clothing and this sweatshirt was just so cute with the embroidered Lady, and the colour of it is really unique, and I love that too.

The other sweatshirt I purchased is this oversized pastel dream from New Girl Order x Hello Kitty. As I mentioned here, I’m really liking pastels at the moment, and this sweatshirt is just the cutest. I mean, just look at the back.

I also purchased this pastel piece, which is from Asos’ own brand. Lilac and light yellow is such a pretty colour combo.

I’m still not over sweater vests, and this one from Daisy Street has been on my wishlist for a while. It’s so vibrant and fun.

I have of course also bought a pair of pastel coloured joggers. These are also from Daisy Street, and they combine two of my new found loves – pastels and loungewear.

I’m always excited to find colourful and/or printed tights, and these lilac ones from Asos’ own brand are so cute.

I’ve seen a lot of these scrunchie style bags, and I couldn’t resist getting this purple one from Asos’ own brand, since purple is my favourite colour, and I didn’t have a bag this colour purple.

I’ve been wanting a pair of big ’70s style sunglasses, and these are just what I’d been looking for (they’re from Asos’ own brand).

I’ve added yet another of these types of hair clips to my collection, but it’s lilac (and also from Asos’ own brand). I had too.

The last three pieces in this haul are jewellery. The earrings are from Kingsley Ryan, and they’re very simple and pretty little multicoloured rhinestone earrings. Both the gold coloured dinosaur necklace and the purple ring are from Asos’ own brand. I love dinosaurs, and I didn’t already have a gold coloured dinsaosaur necklace, so that was a no brainer purchase. And those fun, plastic rings are so popular right now, and I thought I would buy one to see if they really are that cute.

Another Beauty Bay haul (early March)

It’s time for another Beauty Bay haul. This one is full of items I received in early March.

Let’s start with another BH Cosmetics palette. I loved the Blueberry Muffin palette so much that I thought I would pick up another 16 pan palette from BH Cosmetics. This is the Lost In Los Angeles palette, and it’s such a pretty palette. It consists of mainly pastel shades, but it also has some brighter shades, and I’ve really enjoyed using it so far.

Jeffree Star released a Blood Sugar anniversary collection in late February I think, and the only thing I purchased from the collection was the Cavity Skin Frost highlighter palette. The first two shades, Icing IV and Candy Frost, are absolutely stunning; I wore Candy Frost last week, and it has the most stunning gold shift to it that doesn’t really show in the pan. Rose Cold and Frozen Prick will probably be too dark on me, but they sure are fun shades.

I also purchased another Supreme Gloss from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. This is a pretty nude in the shade House Tour.

Then I found a bunch of the Revolution x Friends lip products on sale, so I had to picked them up. I got the Chandler, Joey, and Monica lipglosses and the Rachel and Monica lipsticks. I have worn all of these products, and they were all pretty.

These lip products are from a limited edition Valentine’s Day collection from Wet n Wild. The lipgloss is the Valentine’s Mega Slicks lipgloss in the shade Crushed Grapes, and the lipstick is the Valentine’s Mega Last High-Shine lip color in Raining Rubies. I haven’t worn these yet, but I’m definitely going to wear them together.

The brand Soda was new to Beauty Bay when I purchased these items. It’s a very affordable brand, and so far I’ve liked most of their products. I’ve already mentioned the #wowbrow Flat Brow Liner in the shade Kim in my April 5 favourites, so obviously I love that product. I have not tried the #rainbowrave Unicorn Mascara in Fresh Grass yet. It’s a green mascara, so I’m waiting for the right look to wear it with. I purchased the #talkofthetown Lipstick in the shade Rock on!, and it’s such a great lipstick. I love the colour, the pigmentation, and the finish. The last product I picked up from Soda was the #babygethigher Pressed Highlighter in 102, which is a really pretty two-toned highlighter.

Most of the Soda products come with stickers, so this is what my products look like now (apart from the brow liner – the stickers didn’t want to stick to it).

MAC Black Cherry

Once again MAC’s main spring collection is themed around cherry blossoms and to be honest I really don’t mind. I mean, just look how pretty the packaging is! As you can see, I purchased four products from the collection, so let’s talk about them.

For the last three years now MAC has included a cherry blossom scented Fix+ in their spring collections. Some people might find that boring, but I’ve purchased it every single year, because it’s my favourite Fix+ scent. I’ve used up the one from two years ago, and I’m using the one from last year now, so this one I’ll save as a back up.

If there’s a product that MAC should include more in their limited edition collections it’s blush. This is an Extra Dimension blush in the shade Look, Don’t Touch!, and it’s a beautiful coral pink shade.

Of course I purchased one of the classic bullet lipsticks from this collection. This is a matte lipstick in the shade Moody Bloom, and it’s a beautiful deep, classic red.

I also bought one of the new Glow Play Lip Balms. It’s in the shade Blossoms or Bust. MAC also released some permanent shades of these coloured lip balms.

When I made this order, I also received two free make-up brushes, which was so nice, since MAC brushes aren’t cheap. They’re both eye brushes and more specifically the 239S Eye Shader and the 219S Pencil.

Collective spring Sephora haul

Today’s haul is a collective Sephora haul. I made four online orders in February and March, and each order contained three items, so I thought I would put them all together in one haul.

The first order I made was two products from Fenty Beauty and my very first Natasha Denona product, but it’s not my last one, which you’ll see later on in this haul (and I also showed a sneak peek of my growing Natasha Denona collection in my April 5 favourites post).

I’ve been wanting to try the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer for a long time, so I finally decided to get it. I picked up the shade Butta Biscuit, which is such a nice shade. I still need to get the hang of using cream bronzers, but so far I really like this product.

The other Fenty Beauty product I purchased with this first order was another Snap Shadows Mix & Match palette. This is number 9 Wine. I know that there are mixed feelings about these little palettes, but I personally really like them. I think the quality is very nice, and they’re great for travelling.

The reason I made this order is this little beauty; the Natasha Denona Mini Retro palette. It’s just so pretty, and I love the formula of the shadows. It started what became an obsession with Natasha Denona products.

The next order I made was also products from Fenty Beauty and Natasha Denona.

The Fenty Beauty product I purchased this time was the Pro Filt´r Instant Retouch setting powder in the shade Butter, and I decided to get the mini size to try it out. It’s actually a very decent size for a mini, and I really like this powder.

Then I bought another Natasha Denona palette. This is the Eyeshadow Palette 5 in number 10, and I haven’t really heard many people talk about these bigger 5 pan palettes, but I got this 40% off, and I loved the colours in this palette. I haven’t gotten around to try this one yet, but I can only imagine that it’s beautiful on the eyes.

The last product from my second order is the Natasha Denona Chromium liquid eyeshadow in Dogbane, which was also 40% off. It’s a really fun multichrome liquid eyeshadow. I’ve tried it once, and the look wasn’t my favourite, so I have to try it again.

Okay, moving on to my third order, and guess what, I purchased more products from Natasha Denona, but this time I also got something from Huda Beauty, so let’s start there.

I got the Huda Beauty Pastels Obsessions palette in Rose. This is a very light palette, and three out of four shimmers are not super opaque; they’re more like topper shades. They are still very pretty though. The light yellow shimmer has more pigment to it, and it’s definitely my favourite shade in the palette. I like the matte yellow shade as well. It’s funny that my favourite shades in a rose palette are the yellows.

Another Natasha Denona product I don’t hear many people mention is the Blush Duo. This was also 40% so I thought I would give it a try. I think I’ve only worn it once so far, so I haven’t formed a proper opinion about it yet. I got 19 Strawberry Cheeks which contains the shades #02 Toutou and #15 Strawberry Cheeks.

And the last product from my third order is the Natasha Denona Mark Your Liquid Lips matte liquid lipstick in the shade 25 Louise, and it was also 40% off (Sephora had a lot of ND products that were 40% off for a while there). I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s a beautiful purpley colour.

And now on to the fourth and final order, which is also one of the most exciting ones, because I got a bigger Natasha Denona palette this time around. But let’s talk about the other two products first.

Firstly, I purchased another Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream blush, because it was 20% off. It’s in the shade Strawberry Drip, and it’s such a fun, bright shade that I can’t wait to wear.

Since Becca Cosmetics is going out of business later on this year (and it was 20% off too), I thought it was a good reason to purchase another Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighter. I chose the shade Moonstone, and it’s so pretty.

I might have saved the best for last; the Natasha Denona Love palette. What a stunner! This palette contains the prettiest pinks and purples, and I’m so excited to create a ton of stunning looks with this.

Beauty Bay haul (February)

I have quite a few Beauty Bay hauls to share with you; this one is from from the beginning of February (I know, I’m way behind).

Let’s start with palettes.

I featured the BH Cosmetics Blueberry Muffin palette in my 5 favourites post from March, and I still love it. The blues mixed with neutrals just work so well, and the quality of these shades is amazing. BH Cosmetics is doing something right.

I purchased the By Beauty Bay New Romantic palette right when it launched (I guess it was around Valentine’s Day). I don’t have a lot of predominantly pink/red palettes, so I thought I would give this one a go, and I knew that I liked the By Beauty Bay eyeshadow formula from the Book of Magic palette. And I got the By Beauty Bay Sunset Horizons palette as a free gift with purchase, and it’s a beautiful palette as well.

Then I also purchased some face products and some primers. I purchased the very popular NYX The Marshmellow Primer, and I have to say that I really like this primer. I see why it’s so popular. I also purchased the NYX Glitter Primer for eyeshadow, because I’ve been wanting a primer/base for very glittery shadows to stick to, and so far I really like this product as well.

The blush, I bought, is the MUA Makeup Academy Blushed matte blush powder in the shade Papaya Whip. The true colour doesn’t really show in these pictures; it’s more of a warm orangey peach colour, which is why I bought it. I also bought it, because when I lived in England 7 years ago, I used to shop MUA Makeup Academy all the time, so I got a bit nostalgic.

As I wrote here, I’ve been on the hunt for undereye setting powders, and I came across the Revolution Eye Bright setting powder and thought it sounded promissing, and so far I do like it.

Last, but not least, I purchased two Jeffree Star lipglosses. The The Gloss in the shade Sickening came out with the collection that contained the Blood Lust palette, and it was on sale. And when JS launched his Supreme Gloss, I initially thought I would skip them, but then I caved and got the shade Red Affair, and I’m so glad I did, because it is the most stunning, pigmented red gloss!

5 favourites – April

We are now moving in to the last spring month, but where is that spring weather??? It’s still really cold in Denmark though a bit more sunny, but I’m longing for real spring weather so bad! But on a more positive note, I’m enjoying a five day break/holiday right now (including the weekend), and it was just what I needed after another busy month workwise. So let’s talk about some of my favourites from the month of April, before I go back to doing absolutely nothing:)

Holographic rhinestone belt bag: My black Mickey Mouse shoulder bag that I used as an everyday bag broke earlier on this month, so I had to find a new everyday bag and chose this fun holographic rhinestone belt bag from Skinnydip, which I did use a bit last summer. I really enjoy having a belt bag as my everyday bag again (it’s so convenient), and this one just makes me happy (the picture really doesn’t do it justice btw, but I’m wearing it here and here).

Natasha Denona (brand): My biggest obsession this past month (and I actually think it started last month) has been Natasha Denona. It’s been a beauty brand that I’ve been intrigued by for such a long time, but it’s a bit of a pricey brand, so I kept my distance for a while, but I recently caved and bought my first palette, and now I’m obsessed. You’ll be seeing a bunch of Natasha Denona products in hauls in the nearest future.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara: I did a first impressions on this mascara five days ago, and as I wrote in that post, I’ve really been enjoying this mascara. I feel like I’m on a roll when it comes to finding new great mascaras.

Soda #wowbrow Flat Brow Liner (shade: Kim): This is another product I haven’t hauled yet, but I’ve been using this a lot lately, and I really like it, so I wanted to feature it in my 5 favourites post. Soda is a newer brand to Beauty Bay, and I’ve also purchased some other products from the brand, but this brow pencil, or brow liner as it’s called, has been my most worn Soda product so far. It’s so easy to use!

Ikea Alex 9 drawer: I’m very late to the game when it comes to using the Ikea Alex 9 drawer for make-up storage, but it just fits perfectly in the corner of my bedroom, and I was in desperate need of more make-up storage (before I only had the little wooden drawer!). It’s just so practical, I holds a lot of make-up, and it doesn’t take up too much space, so I love it.
