5 favourites – February

It feels like February just flew by, but I don’t mind, because tomorrow the first month of spring begins. The past few days have been very nice weather-wise, and I really hope that sunny, warmer weather will continue. I had a lot of favourites in February, but I managed to pick five, so here they are.

Brune fløjlsbukser m. vide - H&M

Brown corduroy trousers: These trousers have been a favourite of mine ever since I bought them last autumn, and for some reason I hadn’t featured them in a favourites post before, so I thought it was about time. They are the most versatile non-denim pair of trousers I own.

Hvide Cortez m. rød og blå detaljer - Nike

Nike Classic Cortez sneakers: These shoes have also been a favourite of mine ever since I bought them. They’re just so classic, and they add a ’70s touch to any outfit.

Cherry hair clips: I’m loving the hair clip trend (I love hair accessories in general), and I’ve been loving wearing these cherry ones. I love how they add a little extra something to any outfit.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow palette in Rose in the Air: Wet n Wild is such a great affordable make-up brand, and their eyeshadow palettes are so good! This one has pretty much been my go-to palette this past month. They colours are stunning and they’re really pigmented and easy to blend.

A Star is Born (film): I FINALLY watched this incredible film in the very beginning of the month. It was definitely as great as I hoped it would be; the music is great and both Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga played their roles so well! If you still haven’t watched this, go do it right away.

Bright teal waterline

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love how colourful this make-up look is. I’m especially loving the bright teal in the waterline; I used the Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in the shade Breakfast At Tiffany’s as eyeliner. The Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks are eye safe, and they make the most gorgeous, pigmented eyeliners.

Here’s the make-up I wore Thursday January 31. I’ve had this purply-grey lipstick lying around for quite a while, and I decided that it was finally time to wear it. It’s such a fun shade, and I think it looks great paired with all the dusty pink I was wearing that day.

MAC + Urban Decay haul

I thought I would just do a quick little MAC and Urban Decay haul. I bought all of these products in the January sales apart from the MAC Cream Colour Base. The MAC Cream Colour Base in the shade Pearl was a Christmas present, and it’s a very nice cream highlighter. From MAC I also bought a travel size Strobe Cream (in the original shade Pinklite). It’s my first time trying MAC Strobe Cream, and I really like it. I’ve been using it together with primer, and it gives the skin a really nice glow. I also picked up a travel size MAC Fix+, a travel size Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray + a full size one; these are my favourite setting sprays. Lastly, I picked up the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer (in the shade Fair Neutral), which I’ve been wanting to try out for ages, and so far I really like it.

5 favourites – January

The first month of 2019 is now over, and I can sum it up in two words: work and freezing. Yes, pretty much all I did this month was work (and get a lot of use out of a couple of my Christmas presents which is featured in this favourites post), and it’s been freezing cold outside in Denmark (it actually snowed quite a bit today). I only have six more work days and then I have a week off, so I’m really looking forward to that. But anyways, let’s talk about some favourites.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgyny eye shadow palette: It’s no secret that I love Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and even though this was Jeffree’s second palette release, I didn’t buy it until recently. I’m so glad I finally did though, because I love this palette. The colours are stunning, and the pigmentation is fantastic. I can’t wait to create more gorgeous eye looks with this palette.

Milani Strobe Light Instant Glow Powder (shade: Afterglow): I have another make-up favourite this month, and it’s this gorgeous highlighter. The shade is perfect, and the pigmentation is perfect. It has been my go-to highlighter the past couple of weeks, and I’ll definitely continue to use this.

A Portrait of Nat King Cole (album): I love Nat King Cole. He’s my favourite jazz musician/crooner. My favourite record is a Nat King Cole one, and this CD which I found at a second hand store between Christmas and New Year’s is also a favourite of mine. I’ve been listening to this CD on repeat this past month, and I’ll probably continue to do so.

The Sims 4 Seasons (computer game): I finally got this expansion pack (I got it for Christmas), so I’ve been playing The Sims 4 whenever I had the time. I’ve been playing The Sims games for the past 15 years or so, and I still absolutely love it.

chromecast

Google Chromecast: I don’t have any TV channels, so until this month I’ve been watching Netflix on my iPad, which is fine, but it’s nice to finally be able to watch TV series and films on a slightly bigger screen. I’ve also enjoyed watching YouTube videos on my TV though I still mostly watch those on my iPad (my iPad is my portable TV).
