5 favourites – February

From tomorrow on it’ll officially be spring, even though the weather in Denmark states otherwise. I really wish that the weather would become warmer very soon. Not that I would have much time to enjoy it, since March is going to be all about exams. I can’t believe that I already have exams again. Anyways, my favourites from the past month consists of the two M’s; Make-up and Movies.

DSC_8515

Zoeva En Taupe eye shadow palette: I’m so glad I purchased this palette. It’s been my most used palette since I received it in the end of January. If you want to see what the shades inside the palette look like, you can check out this post.

DSC_8720

Makeup Geek blusher in Spell Bound: I was really excited about trying out Makeup Geek’s blushers, and I was not disappointed. The shade I’ve been especially loving is Spell Bound which is my go-to kind of blush shade.

DSC_8381

MAC lipstick in Von Teese: This has probably been my most worn lipstick this past month. It’s the perfect shade of red in my opinion and I love the matte finish. I’m wearing it here.

harry and sally

When Harry Met Sally (film): I’ve been wanting to watch this classic romcom for I don’t know how many years, and I finally caught it on TV a few weeks back. I really enjoyed it, and I see why it’s a classic.

snow-white-and-the-huntsman-1024

Snow White & The Huntsman (film): This is another film that pleasantly suprised me this month. I love that it has a twist on the original story about Snow White plus I won’t complain about a film which have both Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin in it:)

5 favourites – January

The first month of 2016 has come to an end. January has been pretty much the same since I started at Uni. I think this year January has been particulary tough; I had three exam and no holiday because my new courses started last Monday. I’m really tired of the stormy, rainy weather, and I’m in general really looking forward to spring. But we have one more official month left of winter, and I hope it’s going to be a good one. Before jumping into the last winter month, here’s some of my favourite things from January.

Sorte natbukser m. snefnug

Black pyjama bottoms with snowflakes from H&M: I bought these pyjama bottoms the same day that I bought these items, and they came in really handy, when I fell ill while I was writing an exam paper. They are the most comfortable thing I own and they’re so warm.

DSC_8527

MAC eye shadow in All That Glitters: This is one of the eye shadows I got for Christmas and I have been wearing it a ton. Most times I’ve been wearing it together with my MAC Satin Taupe eye shadow which has been my go-to eye shadow look this month.

Sleek palet åben 2

Sleek Face Form contouring and blush palette – bronzer/contour shade: I rediscovered the bronzer/contour shade in this little Sleek palette. I haven’t had much time to do my make-up this month, and I definitely didn’t have time to both contour and bronze, and this powder is the perfect in-between.

bourne

The Bourne trilogy (films): Earlier this month I watched The Bourne trilogy with my dad. I’ve been wanting to watch these films for a while, and I thought they were great. They’re the kind of films where you have to pay attention to keep up, but that’s usually what makes a film interesting.

Come Away With Me – Norah Jones (album): I got this album for Christmas (it was on my wishlist) and it’s pretty much the only thing I’ve been listening to in January. There’s not one song on the album that I don’t like. It’s from 2002, but I think it’s timeless if you like this kind of music.

5 favourites – December

I can’t believe that December has already come to an end. As I mentioned last month December is my favourite month, and this December was another great one. I was in a Christmas mood all through the past month until a few days ago. Now I’m studying for my exams, and that’s pretty much all January is going to be about; exams! But first I’m going to celebrate the new year, and I hope you’re all going to have an awesome night. But first, here’s some of my favourite things from the lovely month of December.

DSC_8306

L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer: This primer gives you the most gorgeous glowy skin, and I’ve been loving glowy skin this past month, probably because I find it extra appropriate for Christmas time.

DSC_8131

Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadow palette in Comfort Zone: As I mentioned here, I’d been wanting to try out Wet n Wild eye shadows for such a long time, and I’ve been wanting this palette in particular, and I’m not dissappointed. The quality is amazing considered the price, and I’m especially loving the green shades.

McBusted bog

McBusted – The Story of the Worlds Biggest Supergroup (book): I’m not big on reading, unless the book is about one of my favourite bands. I got the book on my gift Advent calendar, and I was hooked from the very first page. I haven’t finished the book yet, because I’ve been studying for my exams and playing a certain computer game in my spare time, but I’m really looking forward to reading the last pages.

The Sims 4 Get Together

The Sims 4 Get Together (computer game): For my birthday in August I got The Sims 4 base game and the Get To Work expansion pack, and one of the things I wished for the most this Christmas was the new Get Together expansion pack, and I was lucky enough to get it. I just wanna play The Sims 4 all the time, but unfortunately I have some exams to study for which is just a bit more important than playing The Sims:)

Christmas – Michael Bublé (album): I love Christmas music and I love Michael Bublé, and again this year I’ve listened to his Christmas album countless times. Among my favourites are It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, Holly Jolly Christmas, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and I’ll Be Home For Christmas.

5 favourites – November

Yes! Finally, December is only one day away. November was a very busy month for me, but a good one nonetheless, but really I’ve just been waiting for December to arrive. December is my absolute favourite month; I love everything Christmassy, and one of my favourites from November shows that.

Sort uldjakke - Vila (arvestykke)

Black woollen coat from Vila: It’s definitely gotten colder in Denmark during November, and I’ve been loving this black woolen coat. It’s really simple and elegant I think, and it goes with any outfit.

Sorte Air Max - Nike

Black Nike Air Max sneakers: Even though it’s gotten colder outside, most of November still wasn’t so cold that you couldn’t wear sneakers, and I’ve worn these countless times the past month.

DSC_8052

NYX Matte lipstick in Natural: I love matte lipsticks, especially when they’re not to drying on the lips. This one from NYX is really comfortable on the lips and the colour is gorgeous. It’s one of those lip colours that goes with most make-up looks.

Gilmore Girls sæson 3

Gilmore Girls (TV series): I recently started re-watching Gilmore Girls, and I’m just as in love with this TV-series this time around as I was the first time I watched it. I love the relationship between Lorelai and Rory, and I think the series overall is incredibly entertaining.

Miss You Most (At Christmas Time) – Mariah Carey: I’m sure a lot of people love Mariah’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ (me included), but I personally think ‘Miss You Most’ is so underrated. It’s such a beautiful Christmas song, and I’ve been listening to it a ton this past month (along side other Christmas songs).

5 favourites – October

October has come to an end and it was quite a crazy month for me, but in a good way. I went to Munich for a choir competition which was amazing, had two exam, and then I just started my new courses at uni yesterday. I’m looking forward to November, but really I just can’t wait for it to become December:) Anyways, here’s some things I loved in October.

DSC_7650

Max Factor Facefinity All Day primer: I did a comparison of this primer to the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer, and I had a hard time picking a favourite between the two, but I’ve been using this one the most this month, and I think it’s a great primer.

DSC_7825

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese: I bought this product to use as an inner corner highlighter and I love it! It’s so easy to use and really brightening.

Sorte ørestikker fra Berlin

Silver earrings with black stones: I rediscovered another pair of earrings this month. I bought these in Berlin in 2008, and I wore them all the time when I just bought them, but then one of the locks came loose, and I didn’t wanted to risk losing the earring. Finally I decided to just change the lock, and I’ve worn them a ton this month.

Spicy Chai te

Pickwick Spicy Chai tea: I love tea and I love a lot of different flavours, and in the beginning of the month I decided to try this Spicy Chai one. It has ginger in it which is great if you have a cold and I have a cold pretty much all the time. It also has cinnamon and black pepper in it and I really like it.

Let the Peoples Sing (choir competition): One of my absolute favourite things of the month was the choir competition I went to in Munich (and my Munich trip in general). It was just an amazing experience. You can read a bit more about it here.

5 favourites – September

September will be gone by tomorrow, and I can’t believe that the first month of autumn is already gone. I’ve been busy with uni the past month and it’ll continue in October; I have exams in a couple of weeks. I’m also going on an exciting trip in about a week and a half, but more about that later. And now let’s talk about some of my favourite things from September.

DSC_7552

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (light to medium): I wrote here that I loved the three shades I’d tried at that point, and since then I’ve tried the other shades as well, and they’re just as good. This contour kit is really nice, and I’ve used it every day since I received it.

DSC_7351

MAC eye shadow in Satin Taupe: I’d been craving this eye shadow for over a year I think, when I got it for my birthday in August, and I’ve worn it countless times since. It’s so beautiful, and I love how it can be worn both in a very subtle way and in a more intense way.

Sølvøreringe m. hjerter

Silver earrings with hearts: I love rediscovering clothes, or make-up, or in this case jewellery. I got these earrings for my 12th birthday, right after I got my ears pierced, but I’ve never worn them much until this month. I’ve probably worn them 3-4 times a week the past month, and I love how simple and cute they are.

Inside-Out

Inside Out (film): As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely love Disney films, and I’d heard so many good things about this new Pixar one. I went to see it with a friend of mine in the beginning of September, and it was so good! One of the best Pixar films in my opinion.

Black Magic – Little Mix: I’ve never listened to any other Little Mix songs, and I don’t really listen to new pop music in general, but this song is just so damn catchy. Maybe it’s because it has kind of an 80’s vibe to it?:)

5 favourites – August

The last official summer month will be over by tomorrow which I find really sad, but then again, I had a great month, and I’m already slowly starting to look forward to Christmas (I know, crazy). In August I had my last three weeks of summer holiday (uni started again last week) which I spent with friends and family and I had some great times. I had a lot of favourites this month and it was quite difficult to narrow it down to 5, but these are the ones that made the cut:)

DSC_7480

Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent: I’m pretty sure I’ve only heard good things about this powder, and I have to agree; it’s a great powder. It leaves you skin matte for such a long time + it’s very affordable. I’m a fan!

DSC_3155

Stila In the Light eye shadow palette: I’ve had this palette over a year, and I’ve been loving it since day one, but this month in particular I’ve been wearing it non stop. My two most worn shades have been Bliss and Kitten. You can get a closer look at the palette here.

DSC_7482

e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator: When you wear lipstick on a daily basis, you sometimes have to take extra care of your lips and it doesn’t have to be expensive. This lip exfoliator is so affordable and it helps removing dry chapped skin from your lips and keeping them nice and soft.

UK-Map-Quad_AW_28837-Pitch-Perfect-2

Pitch Perfect 2 (film): On my birthday I invited my sisters to go watch Pitch Perfect 2 with me at the cinema. I love the first one, so I was very excited about the second one, and I was not disappointed. I love music, and I’m in a choir myself, so these films definitely appeals to me, and I’m surely going to watch this again some time.

DSC_7485

The Sims 4 + The Sims 4 Get to Work (computer game): The Sims 4 is without a doubt my favourite favourite this month. I got the base game and the Get to Work expansion pack for my birthday and I’ve played it a ton since. I’ve been playing The Sims more than 10 years now (both the original one and The Sims 2; I don’t own The Sims 3 though), and I don’t think I’ll ever get to old to play these games:)

5 favourites – July

Another month has come to an end, and the last official summer month will start tomorrow. I really wish the summer weather would make an appearance soon. We’ve only had about 4-5 days of real summer in Denmark in the beginning of the month, but despite the not-so-summery weather, July was still a great month. I had a friend visiting me for 16 days and we had a great time. I’ve also spent a lot of time with my family and all in all my holiday has been great so far. Here’s a few favourites from the month of July.

DSC_6868

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Bare Study: Last year in my July favourites post I also featured a paint pot, and this time it’s the Bare Study one. I’ve used it almost every day since I bought it; either as a base or on it’s own.

DSC_6863

MAC Pro Longwear concealer in NC20: Another MAC product I’ve been loving this month. I use it to cover up spots and redness, and I think it’s a great concealer for that purpose.

DSC_7247

Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Strawberry Kissed: I did a bit of shopping at Sephora when I went to Copenhagen with my friend earlier this month, but I haven’t had the opportunity to make a Sephora haul post yet. One of the products I bought was this liquid lipstick, and it’s so good. It dries completely matte and it’s really pigmented and long lasting + the colour is gorgeous.

Restaurant royale ipad

Cooking Academy Restaurant Royale (iPad game): I love cooking games (though I don’t like to cook in real life), and I’ve played this one on/off for almost a year, but because of the summer holiday I’ve actually had time to play games on my iPad, and this is the game I’ve been playing the most.

magic-mike-xxl_nws7

Magic Mike XXL (film): I was very disappointed in the first Magic Mike film (like many others), but my friend and I decided to give the second one a go anyways, and this time I wasn’t disappointed. The first film was very serious and a bit boring to be frank, but XXL was the male stripper comedy most people (especially women I guess) had wished for the first film to be. It was obviously not the most fantastic film I’ve ever watched, but it was very entertaining, and I wouldn’t mind watching it again;)

5 favourites – June

The month of exams is finally over and my summer holiday started a week ago. I’m really looking forward to July, where I’m going to relax and hang out with friends and family. Even though June was mainly about exams I did get out of my flat a few times which resulted in a couple of my favourites this month.

DSC_2282

Bourjois Délice de Poudre Bronzing Powder: I’ve only got one beauty favourite this month due to the fact that I’ve been home studying for my exams most days and therefore I haven’t worn make-up. The days where I did wear make-up I wore products that’s been favourites of mine for a long time, but I did rediscover this Bourjois bronzer (also known as the chocolate bronzer). This bronzer has golden shimmer in it which is why I haven’t worn it during autumn and winter, but it gives your skin such a nice bronzy glow in the summertime.

love_rosie_Hd_Wallpaper_789475064

Love, Rosie (film): I’ve been watching a few new films this month (and by new I mainly mean new to me), and I’m actually going to feature two of them in this post. The first one is ‘Love, Rosie’ which is a romantic comedy/drama about two best friends, Rosie and Alex. I deals with a bunch of realistic issues like friendship, love, dreams (and teenage pregnancy), and I really enjoyed watching it. It made me smile, but it also brought tears to my eyes which usually means that it’s a great film. I’m really looking forward to watch again.

jurassicworldheader

Jurassic World (film): I might have mentioned it before; ‘Jurassic Park’ is one of my two favourite films (the other being ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’), so I was extremely excited for Jurassic World. My dad and I went to see it the day after the premiere, and I loved it. I was worried that I would be disappointed, but I wasn’t, though it still doesn’t beat ‘Jurassic Park’ in my opinion.

danisnotonfire

danisnotonfire (Youtube channel): I’ve discovered a couple of new Youtube channels this month and my favourite is definitely danisnotonfire. I’d come across Dan Howell’s Youtube channel before, but it never really caught attention until a couple of weeks ago. It was actually Dan and his friend and roommate Phil’s (AmazingPhil) gaming channel that made me watch Dan’s (and Phil’s) main channel. He’s just very funny and charming and has a very contagious laugh.

til bloggen

One Direction concert (+ McBusted): Yes, my youngest sister and I went to the One Direction concert in Denmark again this year, and as well as last year McBusted was the warm-up act. It was an absolutely amazing concert and it’s definitely my favourite favourite this month.

5 favourites – May

May has come to an end, and the first month of summer starts tomorrow, also known as the month of exams (at least in my case) or simply June. Even though I’m not looking forward to my exams, I’m at least going to study in some nice and improved surroundings. I didn’t move, but it feels a bit like it; I got a new kitchen this week, moved some stuff around and I’m getting rid of some stuff that made my place look and feel crouded. I even got myself a little vanity type space. Anyhow, before we jump into June, here’s some of my favourite things from the month of May.

DSC_6553

MAC lipstick in Steam Heat: I almost didn’t buy this lipstick, because I’m trying to save some money for my summer holiday, but I couldn’t resist the pretty packaging. Luckily, not only the packaging is pretty, so is the actual lipstick. It’s such a gorgeous red shade, and I’ve been wearing it a lot this past month.

Tangleteezer 1

Tangle Teezer: My hair brush broke a while back, so my mum told me to get a Tangle Teezer. I’d obviously heard about them before and that they’re supposed to be really good, so I tried my mum’s, and I’ve never brushed out my hair so easily before. If you have difficulties brushing out your hair, and you don’t already own one of these, go get one!

DSC_6711

Stegosaurus necklace: This is actual not only a monthly favourite; this is my absolute favourite necklace. My mum bought the pendant for me at the American Museum of Natural History in New York in October 2013, and then I went and bought a necklace for it. This has been one of my most worn necklaces ever since I got it, and this past month I haven’t worn many other necklaces.

Colin_Firth_and_the_BBC_class_of__95_voted_best_Pride_and_Prejudice_cast

Pride and Prejudice (TV mini-series): When I was ill earlier this month I watched the whole Pride and Prejudice BBC mini-series in one day. It wasn’t my first time watching it, and even though I find some of the scenes a bit lengthy, I still enjoyed it a lot. I just think it’s a lovely story. Btw, I definitely prefer this mini-series over the film with Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Bennet.

Heroes – Måns Zelmerlöw: First of all, I have to mention that I’m a huge Eurovision Song Contest fan, and even though Denmark didn’t make it through to the finals this year, I still enjoyed watching both semi-finals and of course the big final. Second of all, I know people are saying that the Scandinavian countries are always voting for each other, but this year Sweden just had the best song, so I had to vote for them:) Måns Zelmerlöw performed this amazing song to perfection, and if you haven’t watched his performance already, you can watch right here.
