I kind of mixed up the order of my outfits and make-up looks, because I wanted to show you my Christmas and New Year’s looks shortly after I’d worn them, but now I’m going back to where I ‘left off’. I wore this make-up look Thursday December 3. I think I wore this look the same week as a blue eye shadow look and another more colourful eye look if I remember correctly. At least I remember having a week where I just really felt like playing around with colour on my eyes.
(Eye make-up: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Créme De Rose 91, eye shadows – MAC Keepsakes Plum Eyes eye shadow palette (shades: Subtly Elegant + Nocturnelle + Shadowy Lady + Sensibility + Taupeless), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Essence lipliner in 06 Satin Mauve + Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in 162 Feel Pink)
When I sat down to do my nails for New Year’s I decided to match them to the make-up look I wanted to do, so I went with silver and blue and I really like the two colours together.
(Nail polishes: Rimmel I Love Lasting Finish in 239 Your Majesty + Rimmel 60 Seconds in 809 Blue Me Away)
Here’s the make-up I wore on New Years Eve (with this outfit). How cool is that blue lipstick! It’s Matte Royal by MAC which I’ve been drooling over the past many times I’ve been to one of my local MAC counters. It was a Christmas present from my cousin, and I’ll tell you more about my make-up Christmas presents some other time. As you can probably see I wore false lashes with this look, and even though they might not look that good in this picture (most likely because I’m looking Down), I actually think they looked quite nice in real life. I’m really looking forward to play around more with false lashes and blue lipstick.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great and safe night. I sure did. This is what I wore last night. I wore the same dress and shoes on New Year’s Eve 2012, and I rarely wear this sequin dress, so I thought it was about time to pull it out of the closet again. The lipstick is new and I love it! I’ll tell you more about soon.
I can’t believe that December has already come to an end. As I mentioned last month December is my favourite month, and this December was another great one. I was in a Christmas mood all through the past month until a few days ago. Now I’m studying for my exams, and that’s pretty much all January is going to be about; exams! But first I’m going to celebrate the new year, and I hope you’re all going to have an awesome night. But first, here’s some of my favourite things from the lovely month of December.
L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer: This primer gives you the most gorgeous glowy skin, and I’ve been loving glowy skin this past month, probably because I find it extra appropriate for Christmas time.
Wet n Wild Color Icon eye shadow palette in Comfort Zone:As I mentioned here, I’d been wanting to try out Wet n Wild eye shadows for such a long time, and I’ve been wanting this palette in particular, and I’m not dissappointed. The quality is amazing considered the price, and I’m especially loving the green shades.
McBusted – The Story of the Worlds Biggest Supergroup (book): I’m not big on reading, unless the book is about one of my favourite bands. I got the book on my gift Advent calendar, and I was hooked from the very first page. I haven’t finished the book yet, because I’ve been studying for my exams and playing a certain computer game in my spare time, but I’m really looking forward to reading the last pages.
The Sims 4 Get Together (computer game): For my birthday in August I got The Sims 4 base game and the Get To Work expansion pack, and one of the things I wished for the most this Christmas was the new Get Together expansion pack, and I was lucky enough to get it. I just wanna play The Sims 4 all the time, but unfortunately I have some exams to study for which is just a bit more important than playing The Sims:)
Christmas – Michael Bublé (album): I love Christmas music and I love Michael Bublé, and again this year I’ve listened to his Christmas album countless times. Among my favourites are It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, Holly Jolly Christmas, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, and I’ll Be Home For Christmas.
On Cyber Monday I went onto the Danish online beauty store Cocopanda.dk to buy a Christmas present for my youngest sister, and there were so many good deals, so I ended up buying a couple of things for myself. I’ve been wanting to try out Wet n Wild eye shadows for such a long time, and I love this Comfort Zone palette. I also picked up a couple more NYX products, and some Ardell half lashes, because I want to play around with lashes a bit more. And of course I had to pick up a back up of my beloved Real Techniques sponge.
Here’s the make-up I wore with my Christmas Eve outfit. I went with a subtle gold/brown eye make-up, glowy skin, and my Christmas lipstick as I like to call it, Sparks of Romance by MAC.
(Base: primer – L’Oréal Lumi Magique Pure Light primer, foundation – Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 HR foundation (shade: 100 Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Vanilla + Banana) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shade: Fawn) + The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing powder (shade: 02 fair matte), blusher – Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour blush (shade: 020 Pink Rose), highlighter – the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Créme Brulee + Hazelnut ) + the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Rimmel Universal Transparent Lipliner in 001 Universal + MAC Sparks of Romance lipstick)
Here’s what I wore on Christmas Eve (I posted a little sneak peek a couple of days ago). The dress is so comfortable, and I love the collar/neckline; I think it makes the otherwise simple dress more interesting.
Merry Christmas! I hope you’re all having a wonderful time. In Denmark we celebrate Christmas on the 24th, so that’s why I didn’t blog yesterday. I spend yesterday with my family, and I had a lovely time. Here’s a little sneak peek of my Christmas outfit. I’ll post the full outfit and make-up look soon.
Another nail post already! So unlike me. Anyhow, I thought I would show you my Christmas nails. On my gift Advent calendar on December 20 I got a set of three L’Oréal nail polishes and I’ve used two of them for this look, 404 Scarlet Vamp and Gold Leaf top coat. I’m very impressed by the Gold Leaf top coat; I think it looks beautiful on top of the red nail polish.
