Here’s what I wore Wednesday March 8. I’ve probably worn something similar to this before, but I really like a loose fitting jacket with a tight skirt.

Here’s the make-up I wore Saturday March 4. I went to a costume party at my cousin’s dorm, and we both wore some beautiful saris. The one I wore was yellow with red details, so I decided to wear a matching make-up look. I absolutely love this yellow and red combo, and I need to play around with yellow eye shadow some more.

A little while ago I found these products on sale, and it’s always exciting when you find brands like MAC and Urban Decay on sale.

I would imagine that these Urban Decay Matte Revolution lipsticks were on sale, because they’ve been discontinued. These were the only colours left, so I decided to get all three (they were really inexpensive). The shades are (from left to right) Bittersweet, Menace, and After Dark. I used to have a bunch of these lipsticks on my wishlist among others Bittersweet and After Dark. I have worn all three shades, and I really like them. They’re really pigmented and long-lasting.

MAC almost never have any products on sale, and I did buy these products through a Danish department store. I don’t know if this eye shadow has been discontinued as well (it probably has), but I managed to get the last one in store. It’s called Goldenrod, it has a satin finish, and it’s beautiful. My next post will be a make-up look where I’ve used this eye shadow.

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve worn many make-up looks similar to this one, but it’s pretty much my go-to; cool-toned neutrals on the eyes, red lips, and a bright highlight.

Here’s what I wore Thursday March 2. This skirt is still one of my favourites, and I love that you can style it in so many different ways.

I can’t believe that it’s already the last day of March. I had a very busy, but eventful month. I was especially busy with uni stuff, but I still spent a lot of time with both family and friends, and all in all March was a great month. The weather has slowly started to get a bit warmer which I really appreciate. I had a lot of favourites this month, so it was a bit difficult to pick just 5, but here they are.

Black velvet bomber cardigan: You have seen this velvet number quite a bit throughout the past couple of months, and you will definitely see more of it. I think I’ve worn it at least once a week during the past month, and it’s just one of my favourite clothing pieces at the moment. It’s so comfortable, and I’m just obsessed with velvet.

Real Techniques Expert Face brush: I’m a huge fan of Real Techniques make-up brushes and this one was added to my collection in December. I didn’t use it though until this month when I got into contouring again, because this brush is great for blending out your contour.

Silver hoop earrings: I’ve had these earrings since I was 18 and I’ve always used them quite a bit, but this month they have been pretty much the only earrings I’ve worn. They go with everything, and they’re good medium sized hoops.

La La Land (film): This year so far, I’ve watched so many amazing films, and in this month’s favourites I had to feature two of them. I had very high expectations to La La Land and I was not disappointed. I teared up so many times during this film, especially when all the amazing music was playing (the first thing I did when I got home from the movie theatre was to listen to the soundtrack on repeat). Through and through this film was just beautiful.

Beauty and the Beast (film): Another film I was extremely excited about was Beauty and the Beast. As you probably already know, I’m a huge Disney fan, and Belle has always been my favourite Disney princess, and Emma Watson did an amazing job portraying her. I teared up whenever a song was playing, and just as La La Land, it was a beautiful film.

I got this Lancôme Hypnôse Drama mascara sample in a Lancôme gift set on my gift advent calendar in December, and when I tried it out for the first time a few weeks ago, I wrote down my first impressions.

I has a large, slightly curvy bristle wand which I quite like. It gives my lashes both length and volume and I think it looks very nice. It was very easy to remove from my eyelids without ruining my eye shadow which is something I’m appreciating in a mascara, because I always get mascara on my eyelids and on my lower lash line during application. There was no transfer to the top part of my eyelids during the day which is great. Because it is quite a dry formula it did leave tiny specs of mascara on the skin around my eyes, but it was nothing major and it was very easy to remove. The mascara was also very easy to remove with regular eye make-up remover at the end of the day. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. I didn’t expect much, because I hadn’t tried any Lancôme mascaras before, but I was quite impressed by it.

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. If you’re looking for a gorgeous deep red/burgundy lip colour, MAC’s Diva lipstick is the way to go.

Here’s what I wore Wednesday March 1. I don’t wear blazers very often anymore (bomber jackets have taken over), but I decided to bring out my trusty, old, black one in the beginning of the month, and I love how it makes a super casual outfit look a bit more put-together.
(Jeans – Monki, blazer + top – H&M, belt – Asos, sneakers -Adidas)

If you are looking for inexpensive but good quality lip liners, NYX is the way to go. NYX has several different types of lip liners, and I recently extended my lip liner collection with four of the NYX Slim lip pencils and six of the NYX Suede Matte lip liners. Both of these lines of lip liners are really affordable and they’re really pigmented. Of the Slip lip pencils I bought the shades (from left to right) Plush Red, Nude Truffle, Black Berry, and Fuchsia. Of the Suede Matte lip liners I bought the shades (from left to right) Sway, Amethyst, Run the World, Stone Fox, Copenhagen, and Cannes. The great thing about the Suede Matte lip liners is that they match some of the shades from NYX’s different lipstick lines e.g. the soft matte lip creams and the Liquid Suede cream lipsticks.
