Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the three lip products from this MAC holiday set and I think they look gorgeous together.
(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shades: Bare + Fade) + MAC Satin Taupe eye shadow + NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Glitter eyeliner in Jade Jewel. Lips: MAC Just Wonderful lip pencil + MAC Goodbye Kiss lipstick + MAC Frozen Dreams lipglass)
As you might have noticed I’m a bit obsessed with MAC, so of course I’d been waiting in anticipation for the holiday collections to launch and here’s what I purchased online (I also purchased another product in store which I’ll show you soon). It’s the Enchanted Eve pink lip bag, and as you can see it comes with a make-up bag, a lipstick, a lipglass and a lip pencil. All of these products are not for individual sale, so you can only get them in this holiday set.
The lipstick is called Goodbye Kiss and it’s in an amplified finish. It’s a limited edition shade and it’s described as a cool mid-tone pink. I love the amplified finish and this colour is just stunning. It’s a very wearable pink; great for everyday use.
The lipglass is called Frozen Dreams and is a repromoted shade. It’s described as a medium pink rose, and as you can see it has shimmer in it. Usually I’m not much for shimmery lip products, but I don’t think the shimmers in this product are that noticable on the lips. I’ve been wearing it in the centre of my lips on top of the Goodbye Kiss lipstick, and I think it looks gorgeous.
The lip pencil is called Just Wonderful and it’s also a limited edition shade. It’s described as a dirty mauve and like the lipglass it has shimmer in it, but again it’s not that noticable on the lips when you wear a lipstick on top. The colour is a bit darker than the lipstick and lipglass, but the three products look amazing together. I think they made my lips look pretty and plump. I’ll post pictures of me wearing these products soon.
I’ve run out of my favourite nail polish top coat, and I think it might be discontinued, so I needed a new top coat. Since my last one was from Rimmel I decided to try another one from Rimmel, and so far so good. Because there was a 3 for 2 deal on Rimmel I obviously picked up to more products. I decided to get the Lasting Finish 25H foundation which is a full coverage foundation. I already have the 25H nude one which is the medium coverage version, and I love that one, and so far I like this one too. The last Rimmel product I bought was another Provocalips liquid lipstick. It’s in the colour 500 Kiss Me You fool, and it’s a gorgeous bright red. The drugstore also had a 2 for 1 deal on Maybelline mascaras so I stocked up on my favourite. As you can see I also bought some new eyelash curlers, because my old ones had seen better days:)
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’ve worn the eye make-up and the lip combo before, but not together as far as I remember. I think it looks really good though; nice and neutral.
(Base: primer – Max Factor Facefinity All Day primer, foundation – L’Oréal Infallible 24H-Matte foundation (shade: 11 Vanilla), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Vanilla + Banana) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shade: Fawn) + Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing powder (shade: 02 fair matte), blusher – Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour blush (shade: 020 Pink Rose), highlighter – MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade. Eye make-up: Maybelline Color Tattoo in Créme De Rose 91, eye shadows – Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shades: Bliss + Sunset + Sandstone + Kitten + Bare), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Essence lipliner in 11 In the Nude + MAC Oxblood lipstick & lipglass)
Here’s the make-up I wore the day I compared these cream eye shadows. Because I couldn’t do much with my eye make-up, I decided to try an ombré lip look, and I think it looked really nice.
(Lips: Maybelline Colorsensational lip liner in 140 Intense Pink + MAC Margherita lipstick)
In my last comparison post, I mentioned that it had been four months since I had made another comparison post, and now here’s already another one.
When I bought the Maybelline Colour Tattoo cream eye shadow (colour: Créme De Rose 91) in Munich I thought it might be similar in colour to my favourite cream eye shadow base, MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, but I had no idea it was that similar. I swatched them on my hand next to each other (MAC’s on the left, Maybelline’s on the right), and as you can see, they’re almost identical in colour; the Maybelline one is a tiny bit more pink and a tiny bit darker (it’s a bit more noticeable on the eyelid).
I tested both eye shadows at the same time, and you can see which eye I wore which shadow on below. I’m wearing The Body Shop Eye Colour in 07 on top on the cream shadows. Both eyes looked equally good right after application. The Maybelline one felt a bit more tacky and gel-like, but it does say on the product that it’s a gel-cream eye shadow. My eye shadow lasted well throughout the day on both eyelids. The ‘after’ pictures were taken quite late, and I had worn my make-up for many hours, and I don’t expect my eye make-up to look perfect at the end of the day. It looks like the MAC Paint Pot creased a bit more than the Maybelline Color Tattoo, but the difference wasn’t that huge.
To sum up I really enjoy both of these cream shadows, but I have to say that I still use my MAC Painterly Paint Pot a lot more than the Maybelline Color Tattoo. I think it’s a question of habit, but if you don’t want to pay the price of the Paint Pot, I would definitely recommend the Color Tattoo as well.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the Maybelline lipstick I bought in Munich, and I love the colour and the formula.

Lips: Rimmel Universal Transparent Lipliner in 001 Universal + Maybelline Colorsensational Matte lipstick in 960 Red Sunset)
Happy Halloween and happy 1st of November. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before that Halloween is not that big of a deal in Denmark, but for once I actually went to an Halloween/horror themed party last night, and this was my zombie-ish make-up look. I had a great time, and you all had a great night as well.
October has come to an end and it was quite a crazy month for me, but in a good way. I went to Munich for a choir competition which was amazing, had two exam, and then I just started my new courses at uni yesterday. I’m looking forward to November, but really I just can’t wait for it to become December:) Anyways, here’s some things I loved in October.
Max Factor Facefinity All Day primer: I did a comparison of this primer to the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer, and I had a hard time picking a favourite between the two, but I’ve been using this one the most this month, and I think it’s a great primer.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese: I bought this product to use as an inner corner highlighter and I love it! It’s so easy to use and really brightening.
Silver earrings with black stones: I rediscovered another pair of earrings this month. I bought these in Berlin in 2008, and I wore them all the time when I just bought them, but then one of the locks came loose, and I didn’t wanted to risk losing the earring. Finally I decided to just change the lock, and I’ve worn them a ton this month.
Pickwick Spicy Chai tea: I love tea and I love a lot of different flavours, and in the beginning of the month I decided to try this Spicy Chai one. It has ginger in it which is great if you have a cold and I have a cold pretty much all the time. It also has cinnamon and black pepper in it and I really like it.
Let the Peoples Sing (choir competition): One of my absolute favourite things of the month was the choir competition I went to in Munich (and my Munich trip in general). It was just an amazing experience. You can read a bit more about it here.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to wear my MAC Cranberry eye shadow that day, so the rest of my make-up look and outfit were based on the eye shadow.
