When I was in Munich I didn’t have that much time to go shopping, but I did manage to pick up these products. From NYX I picked up a Matte Lipstick in the shade Natural and a Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese. From Maybelline I picked up a Color Tattoo in the shade Créme De Rose and a Colorsensational Matte lipstick in Red Sunset. And lastly I bought four Essence lipliners; In the Nude, Satin Mauve, Cute Pink, and Honey Berry. I’ve tried everything apart from the Honey Berry lipliner, and I’m very happy with my purchases.

Glossy plum
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick in 330 Sloane’s Plum, and as the name of this lipstick line suggests, it was quite moisturising, but I think the finish is too glossy for the dark colour. I guess I just prefer darker lipstick shades to be matte or at least not that glossy. I’ll try to see if I can make it work in some other way though.

Comparison: drugstore face primers
Apparently four months have to pass before I get around to making another comparison post. This post is going to be a comparison of two drugstore face primers: Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer vs. Max Factor Facefinity All Day primer. Because these are face primers that turn sheer when you apply them, it would be difficult to see any difference in pictures, so I didn’t take any pictures of me wearing them. I did wear one on one side of my face and the other on the other side to really be able to compare them to each other.
I’ve been using the Rimmel primer for about a year and half and I really like it, but I had also heard good things about the Max Factor primer, so I had to try it out. The two primers looked pretty similar on the skin and it was easy to apply my foundation on top. I wore my make-up for many hours the day I compared the two primers, and my foundation looked quite good at the end of the day; on both sides of my face. I actually have a hard time picking a favourite between the two. They’re both affordable, feel good on the skin, and extend the wear of foundation. The Max Factor one has SPF 20 in it which is always nice, especially in the summer time, and it has a bit more liquidy texture compared to the Rimmel one, but other than that I find them quite similar. They both prolong the wear of foundation which is a primers main job, and I would recommend both of them.
Margherita
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing my MAC Giambattista Valli lipstick in Margherita and I love it!

Autumn oranges
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love wearing orange shades of make-up this time of year, and I think the muted orange lipstick is especially suited for autumn.

Blue and nude
Here’s the make-up I wore Wednesday September 16. I don’t wear blue eye shadow very often, but I really felt like it that day. I usually don’t wear nude lips that often either, but I’m in love with this lip combo.

5 favourites – September
September will be gone by tomorrow, and I can’t believe that the first month of autumn is already gone. I’ve been busy with uni the past month and it’ll continue in October; I have exams in a couple of weeks. I’m also going on an exciting trip in about a week and a half, but more about that later. And now let’s talk about some of my favourite things from September.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (light to medium): I wrote here that I loved the three shades I’d tried at that point, and since then I’ve tried the other shades as well, and they’re just as good. This contour kit is really nice, and I’ve used it every day since I received it.
MAC eye shadow in Satin Taupe: I’d been craving this eye shadow for over a year I think, when I got it for my birthday in August, and I’ve worn it countless times since. It’s so beautiful, and I love how it can be worn both in a very subtle way and in a more intense way.
Silver earrings with hearts: I love rediscovering clothes, or make-up, or in this case jewellery. I got these earrings for my 12th birthday, right after I got my ears pierced, but I’ve never worn them much until this month. I’ve probably worn them 3-4 times a week the past month, and I love how simple and cute they are.
Inside Out (film): As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely love Disney films, and I’d heard so many good things about this new Pixar one. I went to see it with a friend of mine in the beginning of September, and it was so good! One of the best Pixar films in my opinion.
Black Magic – Little Mix: I’ve never listened to any other Little Mix songs, and I don’t really listen to new pop music in general, but this song is just so damn catchy. Maybe it’s because it has kind of an 80’s vibe to it?:)
Dark autumn lips
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. One of the things I love most about autumn is that it’s very appropriate to wear dark lip colours, and this burgundy one is one of my favourites.

Dark eyes
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to do a dark eye make-up which I don’t do very often, but I think it looked nice with the black and white outfit. I thought about pairing the dark eyes with a really bright lip colour, but decided to go with something a bit more subtle to keep the focus on the eyes.
