February was another tough month for me, so once again I won’t write a whole ton in this 5 favourites post. However, as always, I did find 5 favourites this past month that I’ll share with you, so here goes.
NYX Pro Fix Stick correcting concealers: I don’t remember the last time I tried a stick concealer, but I’m very impressed with these ones from NYX. I got two correctors (pink and green) and a concealer shade that matches my skin, and I like all three of them. They’re creamy and easy to blend, and they have nice coverage.
Sigma Beauty Eyeshadow Base Primer (shade: Ignite): I’m pretty sure, I haven’t featured this particular shade of Sigma Beauty Eyeshadow Base Primer in a 5 favourites post before, so I thought it was about time, since it’s one of my favourite eyeshadow primers.
Essence I Love Extreme crazy volume mascara: It took me a long time to try this mascara, because for some reason I didn’t think I would like it, but it turns out that I do. It gives you lashes a lot of volume, so the name of it makes sense.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara (shade: Pink Air): I don’t think I’ve ever featured two mascaras the same month, but this one is very different from the Essence one. And I have featured this mascara formula in a 5 favourites before, but not this shade. Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara is one of my top favourite mascaras, and I love that it now comes in more shades, such as this beautiful pink.
Pandora hoop earrings (w. Disney pendants): I love my Pandora x Disney jewellery, and I got these hoop earrings for Christmas to wear with Disney pendants. For now I’ve been wearing them with these Mickey and Minnie pendants, but who knows, I might change it up in the future.
I have a collective haul to share with you today. It mostly consists of make-up, but there’s also one clothing item and one piece of jewellery in the mix.
I love a good roll neck top and this one from Monki is just so cute and a perfect layering piece.
This “bolo tie” necklace is from Reclaimed Vintage. I got it 20% off from Asos, and I thought it was cute.
Let’s move on to make-up, and let’s begin with this little mix of products. I picked up a lighter shade in the Nars Light Reflecting foundation. It’s in the shade Oslo, and it might actually be a little light on me, so when I wear this foundation I mix it with the other shade I own, Mont Blanc. The other foundation I purchased is the KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting foundation balm in Light 006. I’ve been wanting to try this foundation ever since it launched, and this shade Light 006 is a great match. I really enjoy this foundation. I think I might have had the Catrice True Skin High Cover concealer in my collection before, but decided to try it out again. I got the shade 002 Neutral Ivory, and I think I like it. I mainly picked up the Lottie London Bubble Tea primer for the gimic. And I know I like the Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint blush sticks, so I got another shade. It’s called Rebel Red, and it looks very pretty.
I don’t wear a lot of neutral eyeshadows, but I love the Natasha Denona eyeshadow formulas, so I caved and bought the I Need A Nude palette. For a neutral palette this is very pretty. I’m wearing it here.
Last, but most certainly not least, I obviously had to have the Oden’s Eye x Angelica Helaween collab palettes. I love Oden’s Eye eyeshadows and Angelica Nyqvist is one of my favourite content creators, and she’s all about colourful eyeshadow, so these palettes are right up my street. The first palette is called Little Ghost and the second one is called Trick Or Treat. I’m wearing Little Ghost on it’s own here and both palettes in combination with each other here.
I have my collective haul from August to share with you today. This haul mainly consists of make-up products.
Let’s begin with the two items that are not make-up. First off, I picked up these dark green cargo trousers from H&M in a sale. I’ve worn them a lot; especially throughout December.
I got this beautiful Guess watch for my 30th birthday in August. I’ve worn it most days since.
Here’s a little mix of products I picked up from the Danish drugstore, Matas. I got a 20% discount as a birthday present, so I decided to buy the bareMinerals Gen Nude Blonzer in Kiss of Mauve, the bareMinerals Gen Nude highlighting blush in Rose Glow, and the Fenty Beauty Match Stix contour skinstick in Soft Amber. These are all very nice products.
I purchased the Clinique Even Better All Over concealer + eraser in WN 01 Flax and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze applicator in a sale.
The last products in this haul are indie products purchased from Monolith. I’ve been wanting to try the Ace Beauté Paletteopoly palette and game ever since it launched, so I was so excited to get my hands on it. I actually played the game and did my make-up based on it just last week. It’s a really fun concept. The palette is stunning whether you play the game or not though.
I also picked up the Unearthly Cosmetics Summer 23 larger mystery box. It includes an eyeshadow palette, a highlighter duo, a satin liquid lipstick, and two lipglosses. The packaging is so cute.
This is the Get Groovy palette, and what a fun colour story. I love a colourful eyeshadow palette, and the Unearthly Cosmetics eyeshadow formulas are great. I’m wearing the eyeshadow palette, the highlighter duo, and one of the lipglosses here.
The Get Groovy highlighter duo is more of a highlighter/blush duo on my fair skin. These shades are super sparkly and fun.
The liquid lipstick is called Gnarly, and it’s a beautiful burnt orange shade. I’m wearing it here. The orange lipgloss is called Psych and the purple lipgloss is called Spaz. Both shades are super pretty and shimmery.
I have a collective haul to share with you today. I purchased these items back in July (I know I’m way behind on hauls), and most of the items are make-up products, but there are also a few clothing pieces and some jewellery.
I really enjoy the Lethal Cosmetics eyeshadows, so when they launched their Pure Metals and Multichromes I purchased all 12 in a bundle which also included an empty 12-pan palette. I haven’t tried them all yet, but the ones I have tried are absolutely stunning. I’m wearing a couple of the Pure Metals shades here.
GlossGods Cosmetics has an incredible shimmer shadow formula and their multichromes are breathtakingly beautiful, so I had to pick up the Lavender Skies remixed palette and the The Color of Rain palette.
This is what the Lavender Skies remixed palette looks like, and I think the colour story is so pretty. I’m wearing the palette on my eyes here.
Here’s the inside of the The Color of Rain palette. I wore three shades from this palette on my eyes today, and they were gorgeous!
I picked up this little selection of products from Asos. I got the e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer, the e.l.f. Cosmetics Luminous Putty bronzer in the shade Vacay Mood, the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Beauty Wand blush in Rosé You Slay, the Revolution Pro Goddess Glow cream highlighter in Alight, and the Benefit Treasure Island butter balm in Island Poppy. The stand out product here is definitely the e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer, but I also love the e.l.f. Cosmetics Luminous Putty bronzer. I’ve already decluttered the Revolution Pro Goddess Glow cream highlighter, mainly because the shade wasn’t great on me, and I’ll probably declutter the Benefit Treasure Island butter balm soon as well; it feels really gritty in the lips.
These are the two pieces of clothing I picked up. I found the lime green blazer from the brand Crás on sale, and I think it’s a stunning blazer, and the quality seems really good. I also bought a simple pair of light blue jeans from H&M, because they’re nice to have in your wardrobe.
Lastly, I purchased two pairs of earrings and two rings. The purple hoops are from Pieces and the silver “croissant” earrings are from a brand called By Jolima. The silver ring is from Maanesten, and the gold and pink ring is from a brand called Design Letters. I got all of these pieces on sale.
I pretty much started September with being ill, and I’m ending it with being ill. And I’m almost never ill. I’m hoping for a healthier October. I’m generally really excited for October. It’s my daughter’s birthday month (I can’t believe that she’s almost one year old), and we have an autumn break/holiday coming up as well. So let’s put this September behind us, and talk about some favourites from the month.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip primer: If you want your make-up to last all day, this is the primer for you. I’ve had this primer for quite a while, but I’ve been using is more lately. It’s perfect for long work days.
Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer (shade: Light): I’d been wanting to try this product for so long, so when Makeup By Mario launched at Sephora Scandinavia I ordered it right away. It blends like a dream and looks beautiful on the skin.
Ole Henriksen Strengh Trainer Peptide Boost moisturizer: I’d heard great things about this moisturiser, so I was really excited to try it, and so far I love it. The texture of the product is quite unique, but I really like how it blends into the skin.
Maanesten Apsara bracelet: I got this bracelet as a present from my mum on Christmas Eve last year. I loved it right away, and I’ve worn it a lot, but especially recently it’s been one of my go-to bracelets. It’s just so pretty and versatile.
Elemental (film): I didn’t expect much from the newest Pixar film, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how sweet and emotional it was. The story and characters were cute, and I teared up several times.
I have an Asos haul to share with you today. I bought most of the things on sale, and there’s a bit of everything; clothes, shoes, accessories and make-up/beauty.
How fun are these jeans! They’re from a brand called Bailey Rose, and I just love the print and colours.
I’ve already posted a look with this dress from COLLUSION. It’s very cute.
These are some pretty high platform heels, and I don’t wear heels this high very often anymore, but these were just too pretty to pass on. They’re from Topshop btw.
This is the kind of heel I wear most often these days. These summery mules are from Monki.
When I saw these Crocs, I just knew I had to have them. I love the retro floral print, and the cute Jibbitz that came with the shoes.
From Crocs I also picked up these colourful flower Jibbitz which are decorating my pink Mega Crush sandals.
I love dinosaurs and thought these rings were cute. They’re a bit small though.
I wear headbands all the time, and both of these have been favourites ever since I got them. The purple one is from Y.A.S, and the white one is from True Decadence.
These hair clips are from DesignB, and I bought them to use, when I’m doing my make-up, but they’re not that great. I’ll just stick to my Minnie Mouse headband.
Let’s move on to make-up. I picked up two foundations from MAC; the Strobe Dewy Skin Tint in Light 1, and the Studio Fix Every-Wear All-Over face pen in NC13. None of these are my perfect foundation, but I haven’t used them that much, so maybe I’ll change my mind?
These three Charlotte Tilbury products I love. The Airbrush Brightening Flawless Finish powder in Fair/Medium is a great undereye powder, and the Hollywood Contour Wand in Fair/Medium and the Matte Beauty Blush Wand Pillow Talk in Dream Pop are just great cream cheek products.
I purchased quite a few things from Revolution. I got the Conceal & Define full coverage foundation in F0 to mixed in with other foundations, the IRL Filter Finish soft matte concealer in C2, the Healthy Glow Sculptor cream blush and bronzer in Forgive and Forget Pink from the XXRevolution line, two Lustre Wand shadow sticks in Euphoric Lilac and Sinful Green, and the Ceramide Lip Swirl lip gloss in Cherry Mauve.
From e.l.f. Cosmetics I picked up two more of the No Budge matte shadow sticks, which are some of my favourite shadow sticks. These are in the shades Groovy and Stellar. I also bought another shade of the Luminous Putty blushes. The shade is called St. Barts. And from Rimmel I wanted to try out the Wonder’ Cloud all-day wear soft shadow, and I picked the shade 01 Honey Drop.
Lastly, I got a back-up of my favourite moisturiser from Wishful, which is the Honey Whip Peptide one. I’ve also been wanting to try the Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint blush sticks for quite a while, so I bought the shade Proud Pink, which is super pretty.
The last summer month has come to an end, and we’re quickly heading into autumn. A lot of things happened in August; I went back to work after my maternity leave, my daughter started in daycare, and I turned 30. For the past many years, I’d been saying that I hoped to be a mother when I turned 30, and I am, so I’m very excited about entering a new decade in my life. But enough about that, here are my August favourites including a birthday present, some beauty bits, and a film.
Guess watch: My boyfriend (and daugther) gave me this beautiful watch for my birthday, and I’ve been wearing it pretty much everyday since. I was in desperate need of a new silver watch (I most often wear silver jewellery), and this one had a bit of colour and sparkle to it, which is right up my street.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer: The original Poreless Putty primer from e.l.f. Cosmetics is a long time favourite of mine, so I was very excited to try the liquid version, and it’s so good. I might even like this one more than the original one.
Colourpop Pretty Fresh hyaluronic acid setting mist: I have a couple of favourite setting sprays, some which I have repurchased several times, but I do also like trying out new ones, and I’m really enjoying this one from Colourpop.
KAYALI Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33 Eau de Parfum: KAYALI is one of my favourite perfume brands, and in my 5 favourites post from June I featured the Eden Juicy Apple | 01, which I’ve continued to wear very often, but this month my most worn scent has been the Yum Pistachio Gelato | 33, which is such a delicious scent.
Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 (film): The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise are some of my favourite MCU films, so I was so excited to watch volume 3, and it did not disappoint.
I have a collective haul to share with you today. It’s a mix of clothes, accessories, and make-up. I purchased all of these things back in March.
Let’s begin with clothes and more specifically trousers. My body has obviously changed after being pregnant and having a baby, so I had to buy new trousers, since I can’t fit into my trousers from before I was pregnant yet (maybe I’ll never fit them again). I love wide leg trousers, so I picked up a pair of red cargo trousers and a pair of floral jeans from H&M. I got both pairs 20% off. The lilac joggers are also from H&M and they were also on sale.
This maxi linen skirt form H&M wasn’t on sale, but it was just so beautiful, so I had to have it. I actually haven’t worn it yet, but I’m excited to do so soon.
When I was breastfeeding my daughter I loved cardigans, because they were so practical, but I think I’ll continue to wear them, even though I’m not breastfeeding anymore. I love the colour and fit of this one from H&M, which was also on sale. The pastel striped roll neck jumper was also on sale, and I’d had my eye on it for a while. I can’t wait to wear it next winter.
There’s Barbie everything everywhere right now because of the Barbie film, but I purchased this oversized Barbie T-shirt before all the Barbie hype. It’s also from H&M, and I’m actually wearing it today.
This green knitted polo shirt is also from the H&M sale, and there was something very interesting about it, and I think it’ll be very fun to style.
These are the only accessories I picked up all from H&M as well. I think the flower choker is very Carrie Bradshaw, and I’m excited to style it up. And you can never have too many big hair clips, can you?
Let’s move on to make-up and let’s start out strong with some Natasha Denona. I got the Love Face palette. I think these colours are super pretty. I’m wearing it here.
I also, finally, purchased the Natasha Denona Bronze palette. I don’t wear these kinds of colours very often, but it was on sale, and I love the Natasha Denona eyeshadows. I also loved the look I created with this palette.
I randomly got another shade of the NYX Fat Oil lip drips. It’s the shade 03 Supermodel, and it might be my favourite shade I’ve tried so far.
I love cream bronzer and cream blusher, and I’ve been enjoying them in stick form, so I had to try the Essence Baby Got Bronze bronzing stick in 10 Cinnamon Spice and the Essence Baby Got Blush blush stick in 10 Tickle Me Pink, and I really liked both.
I picked up some items from the Catrice My Little Pony collection. I got the eyeshadow palette, the highlighter, and two nail laqcuers in the shades in C03 Happy Skydancer and C04 Lovely Minty. I’m wearing the palette and highlighter here.
From Catrice I also purchased three HOP, HOP HOORAY RELOADED nail lacquers in the shades C06 Spring Meadow, C09 Lavender Peony, and C08 Floral Bouquet.
I love a skin tint, so I was intrigued about the Maybelline SuperStay 24H skin tint. I picked up the shade 03, which is a good match for my skin. I haven’t used it enough to form a proper opinion on it yet, but I think I liked the way it looked.
The other foundation I picked up was the Clinique Even Better Clinical serum foundation SPF 20 in CN 08 Linen. However, the shade was too dark on me, so I have since then picked up a lighter shade, because I do really enjoy this foundation.
Lastly, I bought three lip products. I got the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump in Lotus, the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in 806 Go Ahead Pink, and the Givenchy Rose Perfecto Beautifying lip balm in 37. I had actually ordered the liquid version of the Givenchy lip balm, but got this one instead, and since the store didn’t have the liquid version, I got to keep this one and get my money back, which was very nice.
I have an Asos haul to share with you today. All of these items were on sale, and there’s a mix of clothes, accessories, and make-up. Let’s begin with clothes.
I love a good sweater vest, and I’d had my eye on this one from Asos Design Men. I love a Disney print, and I think the green and blue looks great together.
You can never go wrong with a colourful T-shirt. This one is from JJXX.
Moving on to accessories. Topshop makes great shoes and great bags, and this multicoloured holographic bag is no exception.
I love a hat even though I don’t wear them all the time. This one from Asos Design, and I have actually already worn it. I wore it here.
This might be a slightly boring purchase, but man, I’ve worn this big black hair clip from Asos Design a lot!
Let’s just talk about all the jewellery pieces at once. I thought the Halloween selection from Asos Design was fun, and they were very heavily discounted. The golden, pearly earrings from SVNX are super pretty, and the little star and moon hoops with amethysts from Kingsley Ryan has come in very handy. The simple braided silver ring is also from Kingsley Ryan.
And now let’s move on to make-up. I picked up another e.l.f. Cosmetics No Budge shadow stick, and this one is in the shade Blue Steel. I’d heard great things about the Revolution Ultra Cream Bronzer, so I picked it up in the shade Light. I’d also heard good things about the Iconic London Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint, however, the shade I picked up, which is Warm Fair, is not a great match for me.
How stunning is this Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Beautifying face palette – Light/ Medium! I’d been wanting it for a while, so I was very happy to get it on sale.
Lastly, I got two lip products from the Valentine’s Day launch from MAC. I picked up the Lady Danger lipstick, which is a shade I’ve always wanted to try, and it is stunning. I also picked up the Glow Play lip balm in Bouncing Bloom.
Another month has come to an end, and I can’t believe how quickly time flies by. I’m still enjoying my maternity leave, so I spend my days with my daughter, and it’s incredible to see her grow. We’re heading into the last month of spring, but I’m still longing for warmer spring weather. The days are longer and lighter, but it’s not particularly warm outside. Anyways, let’s talk about some of my favourite things from the month of April.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Holy Hydration! face cream: The past couple of years I’ve been a bit more interested in skincare and trying different products, and one product that is always a part of my daily skincare routine is a good moisturiser. At the moment, I’m using this one from e.l.f. and I’m really enjoying it. I got the fragrance free version, and I love the texture of the product. It has hyaluronic acid and peptide complex in it, which are ingredients I really like.
Tarte Sculpt Tape contour (shade: Cool Bronze): I’d heard great things about this contour wand, and that it’s supposed to be similar to the famous Charlotte Tilbury one. I haven’t tried the Charlotte Tilbury version yet, but I really like this Tarte one. It blends out so easily and looks really natural on the skin.
Colourpop custom face palette (pressed powders): Colourpop recently released a permanent line of pressed bronzer, pressed blushes, and pressed highlighters. You can buy them in individual cases or just in the pan so you can place them in an empty palette. As you can see, I did the latter. My palette contains one bronzer, three blushes, and two highlighters, and I travelled with this palette in the very beginning of the month, and it was the perfect travel face palette.
Maanesten earrings + necklace: I got this jewellery set for my birthday last year, and I’ve worn it a lot ever since, but especially this past month. The picture also shows a bracelet, but I’ve only been wearing the necklace and earrings, and I’ve been wearing those so often.
You (TV series): I watched the first season of You a few years ago, but it wasn’t until this past month that I finally decided to watch the rest, and I’m so glad I did. My two favourite seasons are season 2 and 3, and I’m excited for the 5th and final season, which I think will be released in 2024.
