Tassels

DSC_3806DSC_3812DSC_3809

Tassel earrings have been everywhere for a while now, and luckily I have a very creative sister, who made these pretty tassel earrings for me. She used old buttons for the actual earring part which make them really unique, and I can’t wait to wear these with tons of different outfits.

5 favourites – June

June has definitely been the toughest month for me this year so far. I’ve had a lot of exams and some very difficult ones, but they all went well, and now I’m going to enjoy my summer holidays before I start writing my thesis in August. Therefore, my blogging will be inconsistent the next month, but I’ll try to post as often as possible. I wish you all an amazing summer, and here’s some favourites from the month of June.

lysebla-ankel-flare-jeans-hm

Kick flare jeans: When I bought these jeans, I didn’t expect to love them as much as I do. I think they make an outfit look way more interesting, and they remind me a bit of the 70’s, which is awesome. I love that they can be styled in so many different ways. I’m wearing them here and here.

DSC_1827

Silver choker with pendants: This dainty silver choker has been one of my most worn necklaces this past month. I’ve been layering it with my Stegosaurus necklace, and I think they look great together.

Pukka Peppermint and Licorice 1

Pukka peppermint & licorice tea: I love tea, and liquorice is one of my favourites. This is quite an expensive tea brand (my mum gave it to me), but it really is good, and I love the combination of peppermint and liquorice.

how-i-met-your-mother-banner

How I Met Your Mother (TV series): I finally decided to watch HIMYM in the beginning of the month, and I got hooked instantly. I watched all 9 seasons (it was pretty much all I did in the evenings after I was done studying for the day), and I absolutely loved it. I will definitely rewatch this series some time.

Nem Eu – Salvador Sobral: My obsession with Salvador Sobral’s music continued throughout the month of June, and this song is just as beautiful as his Eurovision song. I still don’t understand a single word, but it still manages to move me, and I think it’s incredible when music can do that.

5 favourites – March

I can’t believe that it’s already the last day of March. I had a very busy, but eventful month. I was especially busy with uni stuff, but I still spent a lot of time with both family and friends, and all in all March was a great month. The weather has slowly started to get a bit warmer which I really appreciate. I had a lot of favourites this month, so it was a bit difficult to pick just 5, but here they are.

sort-velour-bomber-jakke-cardigan-monki

Black velvet bomber cardigan: You have seen this velvet number quite a bit throughout the past couple of months, and you will definitely see more of it. I think I’ve worn it at least once a week during the past month, and it’s just one of my favourite clothing pieces at the moment. It’s so comfortable, and I’m just obsessed with velvet.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Real Techniques Expert Face brush: I’m a huge fan of Real Techniques make-up brushes and this one was added to my collection in December. I didn’t use it though until this month when I got into contouring again, because this brush is great for blending out your contour.

Spinning hoops

Silver hoop earrings: I’ve had these earrings since I was 18 and I’ve always used them quite a bit, but this month they have been pretty much the only earrings I’ve worn. They go with everything, and they’re good medium sized hoops.

LLL d 29 _5194.NEF

La La Land (film): This year so far, I’ve watched so many amazing films, and in this month’s favourites I had to feature two of them. I had very high expectations to La La Land and I was not disappointed. I teared up so many times during this film, especially when all the amazing music was playing (the first thing I did when I got home from the movie theatre was to listen to the soundtrack on repeat). Through and through this film was just beautiful.

beautyandthebeast

Beauty and the Beast (film): Another film I was extremely excited about was Beauty and the Beast. As you probably already know, I’m a huge Disney fan, and Belle has always been my favourite Disney princess, and Emma Watson did an amazing job portraying her. I teared up whenever a song was playing, and just as La La Land, it was a beautiful film.

5 favourites – February

The last month of winter has (finally) come to an end. I’m tired of the cold, so I really can’t wait for spring weather to arrive. In February I was quite busy with uni stuff, but I managed to find time to see family and friends. March is going to be a busy month as well, but I kind of like be occupied. Anyways, let’s say goodbye to February by talking about some of my favourite things from the past month.

dsc_0783

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain): I did a first impressions post on this foundation back in october. Back then I wrote that I neither loved nor hated this foundation, but it has definitely grown on me. If you have dry skin, this is probably not the foundation for you, but is you have normal or oily skin, I would definitely recommend you try it out.

Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Ice Cold: Last month my favourite highlighter was the Jeffree Star Skin Frost in Peach Goddess, this month it’s Ice Cold. The Jeffree Star Skin Frost highlighters are amazing, and in contrast to Peach Goddess which is a bit softer but still glowy, Ice Cold is very intense and I love it.

dsc_1637

Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Redrum: I rarely feature lip products in my favourites post, because I wear so many different shades throughout a month. But when I wear a certain lip product once a week for a month (or longer) I have to mention it. You might have noticed by now that I’m obsessed with the Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipsticks and my favourite shade is Redrum which is the perfect classic red.

Casio watch: I had been wearing the same silver watch since I was 12 years old, so I thought it was about time to wish for a new one. I got this Casio watch for Christmas, and it has been a favourite since I got it, but I’ve worn it almost everyday in February, and I just love the nice and simple design.

9845eca33f7c30db570ee1e787cac492

The Shawshank Redemption (film): Just like in January I’ve watched so many great films this past month, but the one that takes the cake is this 1994 classic. This film has been on my ‘must watch’ list for years, and it was just as great as I’d hoped.

Asos accessories haul pt. 1

dsc_1825dsc_1827dsc_1828

Last month I purchased a bunch of accessories on Asos and these are the jewelleries. I’ll show you the other accessories I purchased which are not jewellery in a separate post. All of these pieces were on sale and I really like the pieces I’ve worn so far. As you can see I bought three very different chokers and I thought they would be perfect for layering with other necklaces. Then I bought two pairs of sterling silver earrings with little knot designs (they came as a set) and I’ve worn both pairs a lot already. If you have several piercings in each ear (I don’t) I’m sure these two pairs of earrings would look really cute together.

Casio watch

I had worn the same watch almost every day for the past 11 years so I thought it was about time to get a new one. I really like a lot of the Casio watches, and I was lucky enough to get one for Christmas. I love this style (LA680WEA-7EF) which is very simple and a great size; not too big and not too small.

Party look

It’s the party season and thought I needed some new party clothes. The top, skirt, and heels are all from H&M and the velvet chokers are from a brand called Krystal London (I got them from Asos). I thought the silver top was very festive and it’s affordable too which is always nice when it’s something you won’t wear that often. I’ve been wanting a long, pleated skirt for a long time, and when I found this one on sale on H&M webshop I just had to get it. When I ordered the top and the skirt I had also put the beautiful silver glitter heels in my basket, but they were sold out when I was going to check out, but luckily the were back in stock about a week or so later. I’ve been wanting to try out the choker trend for a while and when I found these two velvet ones on sale on Asos I thought it was time to give a try. I’ve worn both of them once each so far, and I quite like them. My plan is actually to wear all of these items (though only one of the chokers) on New Year’s Eve, but we’ll see.

5 favourites – October

October has come to an end and it was quite a crazy month for me, but in a good way. I went to Munich for a choir competition which was amazing, had two exam, and then I just started my new courses at uni yesterday. I’m looking forward to November, but really I just can’t wait for it to become December:) Anyways, here’s some things I loved in October.

DSC_7650

Max Factor Facefinity All Day primer: I did a comparison of this primer to the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer, and I had a hard time picking a favourite between the two, but I’ve been using this one the most this month, and I think it’s a great primer.

DSC_7825

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Cottage Cheese: I bought this product to use as an inner corner highlighter and I love it! It’s so easy to use and really brightening.

Sorte ørestikker fra Berlin

Silver earrings with black stones: I rediscovered another pair of earrings this month. I bought these in Berlin in 2008, and I wore them all the time when I just bought them, but then one of the locks came loose, and I didn’t wanted to risk losing the earring. Finally I decided to just change the lock, and I’ve worn them a ton this month.

Spicy Chai te

Pickwick Spicy Chai tea: I love tea and I love a lot of different flavours, and in the beginning of the month I decided to try this Spicy Chai one. It has ginger in it which is great if you have a cold and I have a cold pretty much all the time. It also has cinnamon and black pepper in it and I really like it.

Let the Peoples Sing (choir competition): One of my absolute favourite things of the month was the choir competition I went to in Munich (and my Munich trip in general). It was just an amazing experience. You can read a bit more about it here.

5 favourites – September

September will be gone by tomorrow, and I can’t believe that the first month of autumn is already gone. I’ve been busy with uni the past month and it’ll continue in October; I have exams in a couple of weeks. I’m also going on an exciting trip in about a week and a half, but more about that later. And now let’s talk about some of my favourite things from September.

DSC_7552

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (light to medium): I wrote here that I loved the three shades I’d tried at that point, and since then I’ve tried the other shades as well, and they’re just as good. This contour kit is really nice, and I’ve used it every day since I received it.

DSC_7351

MAC eye shadow in Satin Taupe: I’d been craving this eye shadow for over a year I think, when I got it for my birthday in August, and I’ve worn it countless times since. It’s so beautiful, and I love how it can be worn both in a very subtle way and in a more intense way.

Sølvøreringe m. hjerter

Silver earrings with hearts: I love rediscovering clothes, or make-up, or in this case jewellery. I got these earrings for my 12th birthday, right after I got my ears pierced, but I’ve never worn them much until this month. I’ve probably worn them 3-4 times a week the past month, and I love how simple and cute they are.

Inside-Out

Inside Out (film): As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely love Disney films, and I’d heard so many good things about this new Pixar one. I went to see it with a friend of mine in the beginning of September, and it was so good! One of the best Pixar films in my opinion.

Black Magic – Little Mix: I’ve never listened to any other Little Mix songs, and I don’t really listen to new pop music in general, but this song is just so damn catchy. Maybe it’s because it has kind of an 80’s vibe to it?:)
