There’s nothing like pretty, highlighted cheekbones to complete a make-up look. My favourite highlighter for the past year or so has been the Stila All Over Shimmer Duo Highlighter in Kitten, but I thought it was time to mix it up a bit in the highlight department, so I bought two new highlighters last month. One of them is this e.l.f. Baked Blush in the colour Pink Tastic. The name says it’s a blusher, but it’s definitely a highlighter. I’d heard so many good things about this highlighter, and it really is a great product and so affordable. It has a slight peachy pink tint to it, and you can really build it up if you want an intense highlight, but you can also dust it lightly over the skin for a more subtle sheen. I really like this highlighter, but I like the other one I bought even more, but more about that in another post.

Party liner
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I wrote when I bought the silver liquid eyeliner, it would most likely become a party make-up stable for me, and it has. I wanted to wear a hot pink lipstick to go with my pink blazer, and that requires a simple eye make-up, and some silver eyeliner is the perfect way of glamming up the look.

Lips: MAC No Faux Pas lipstick)
Wearable blues
Here’s the make-up I wore Monday January 12. I remember just wanting to play around with blue shades that day, and I really like how the look turned out. Blue shadows can sometimes be tricky to wear, but this look is quite subtle and very wearable in my opinion.

5 favourites – January
I can’t believe that the first month of 2015 is over by tomorrow. It was a tough month with exams, and this week uni started again, but it was a good month as well. I just occured to me that I’ve been doing these 5 favourites posts for a whole year now, and I’m definitely going to continue doing them. So without further ado, here’s my first favourites of 2015.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Gel-Cream Eyeshadow (colour: 35-On and on Bronze): I’m so glad that this Color Tattoo finally came to Denmark, because it’s gorgeous. It looks beautiful on its own, but it’s also a perfect base for bronze/gold/brown eye shadow looks.
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer (colour: 02 Fair Matte): This bronzer is the perfect matte bronzer for fair skin. Especially for everyday use where you might not want a too heavily bronzed face. I would definitely recommend this stunning product.
Pernille Corydon gold leaf earrings: I’ve been wearing a lot of gold jewellery this month (to match my go-to eye make-up) and these earrings that I got for Christmas has been my favourites. I love how simple and pretty they are, and I’ve worn them so much.
Turbie Twist: I didn’t learn about the existence of the Turbie Twist until last Autumn, but I was definitely intrigued. Luckily, I got a two-pack on my gift advent calendar, and I think they’re genius. If any of you haven’t heard of the Turbie Twist, it’s a super-absorbent hair towel. I find it very lightweight and perfect if you don’t have a lot of time to wait for your hair to dry.
Kongens Have – TopGunn: I have a very different favourite song this month. I don’t listen to a lot of Danish music and especially not hip hop and dancehall. The reason I got to listen to this particular song was because the Danish rapper and producer Topgunn was to be one of the judges on Denmark’s Got Talent. I knew him by name, but I wasn’t very familiar with his music, so I went on to Youtube and listened to a bunch of his songs, and the only one that caught my attention (and which I did recognise) was Kongens Have. I find it quite different from his other songs which I’m not very fond of, but there’s something about this one that made me listen to it over and over again this past month. I think it’s the melody and I like the use of e.g. brass instruments.
101 dalmatians
I was serious when I wrote that I wanted to get back to doing more nail posts and get more creative in the nail department, but I thought I would start out with something easy. Like throwing a confetti top coat on top of a coloured nail polish. So easy, and really cute, I think. I didn’t even think about the fact that wearing this top coat on top of a white nail polish would make my nails look like dalmatians, but I don’t mind. The nail polishes I’m wearing are Nail Paint by Barry M in Matt White and L’Oréal Color Riche nail polish in Confettis.
5 favourites – December
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you’ll all have a wonderful night. This is going to be the last post of the year, and of course it’s going to be my December favourites post. December was a busy month, but also a great month where I had a lot of great times with friends and family. I’m looking forward to 2015, but before we jump into the new year, here’s 5 of my favourite things from December.
Vaseline (healthy hands + stronger nails) hand cream: I use this hand cream every night right before I go to bed (and have done so the past two years), but in the cold months like December where my hands tend to get really dry, I use it during the day as well. It’s a really nice and very affordable hand cream, and it works very well for me. I believe that my nails have become stronger as well, so I highly recommend this hand cream.
Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick (colour: 050 Top Tomato): This beautiful red liquid lipstick has been one of my favourite lip products this month, most likely because of the shimmery red colour which is very appropriate for the Christmas season. I like that it dries to a matte finish and it lasts on the lips all day long.
Brødrene Mortensens jul (TV Christmas advent calendar): Children’s TV Christmas advent calendars is a big thing in Denmark and other Nordic countries. It’s a TV series of 24 episodes where each episode corresponds to each day up until Christmas Eve. They are typically made for children, but a lot of grown-ups watch them too. Personally I’m a huge fan of TV Christmas advent calendars, and one that I watch every year is Brødrene Mortensens jul (The Christmas of the Mortensen brothers).
Pickwick Winter glow tea: I’m a huge tea drinker, but I’ve never really liked Christmas inspired tea flavours, until this year. I’ve been loving this Winter glow tea that tastes like a mix of cinnamon, clove, and orange. Very Christmassy.

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas – Michael Bublé: I love Christmas music, and my favourite Christmas song this year has been Michael Bublé’s version of this classic Christmas song. It’s just so beautiful, happy, and Christmassy. That’s all I look for in a Christmas song. I know it might be to late for you to listen to it now, so look at it as a little inspiration for next years Christmas playlist.
5 favourites – November
It’s the last day of November which means that it’s the first day of December tomorrow! December is my favourite month; the only thing I don’t like about it is the cold weather. I love everything Christmassy though, so I’m really excited about December:) But first, here’s 5 favourites from November.
Neck warmer: This is definitely not the most aesthetically pleasing thing in the world, but it’s warm and practical and that’s my top priorities for outerwear in the autumn and winter time.
MAC Heirloom Mix Miniralize blusher in Modest Blush: As I wrote the other day in my post about the MAC Holiday collections I’m really satisfied with the products I bought. The product I’ve been wearing the most is the blusher. I’ve worn it every day but one since I bought it. It simply is the perfect everyday blusher.
The Hunger Games films: I’d heard a lot about The Hunger Games, especially the films, but I didn’t get to watch them until this month and as it turns out, I really like them. The first one is definitely my favourite but I like Catching Fire and Mockingjay – Part 1 as well. And of course I have to watch the last one when it comes out.
The Vampire Diaries – season 3: I finally got around to watch the third season of The Vampire Diaries and just as the previous two seasons, I loved it. I can’t wait to watch the next seasons.
Imaginary Enemy (album) – The Used: My favourite album of the month is the newest one by The Used. I’ve have listened to The Used’s music for years, and I was happy to discover how great an album Imaginary Enemy is. I think the songs are very catchy and I love Bert McCracken’s voice. Here you can listen to the first single from the album which is one of my favourites.
5 favourites – October
First of all: Happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates that (I personally don’t due to the fact that it’s not that big of a thing in Denmark). It’s time to say goodbye to October and hello to November. I’ve been quite busy the past few weeks, and I’m sure I’ll continue to be busy the next couple of months, but I’ll still try to blog every day, because I need a break from studying every now and again. This month I’ve once again discovered (or rediscovered) some items that I’ve come to love, and here’s 5 of them.
Black platform boots by B&CO: These boots are one of my all-time favourite pairs of shoes. I wore them A LOT last autumn and winter, and so far I’m doing the same this year. They’re so comfortable and go with so many different looks. Love them!
L’oréal Skin Perfection Awakening Eye Cream: I know I just mentioned the L’oréal Skin Perfection products yesterday, but I really like them, and so far I’m especially impressed by the eye cream. When I’m busy I get really tired, and as I mentioned yesterday I truly think this eye cream makes me look more awake.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter (colour: 040 Red Velvet): I bought this Revlon Lip Butter shortly before I left England, but I didn’t start wearing it until this month, because I find it to be a more autumn/winter appropriate colour. I was pleasantly suprised when I first tried it on, because it’s even more gorgeous than I expected it to be. I haven’t posted any pictures of me wearing it yet (I know I’m really behind with outfit/make-up posts), but I’ll do so in the nearest future.
Make-up sponge: I purchased this make-up sponge last week, and I can’t believe I haven’t used a sponge to apply my foundation (and concealer) before, because it’s amazing. It blends out your foundation so well and makes it look really natural. This is just a cheap make-up sponge, and it’s probably not very good compared to the Beautyblender, but I like it.
Air Guitar – McBusted: YES! McBusted’s debut album is coming out on December 1, but their first single came out earlier this month and I love it! The sound of the song is exactly how I would have imagined an original McBusted sound to be like. I have to say though that I’ve been waiting years now for the next McFly album to be released, but even though it looks like that’s not going to happen for a while, I’m still very exited about the McBusted album.
5 favourites – September
There’s only a few hours left of September which has been a great, but busy month for me. Studying has been taking up most of my time, but I’ve had time to party and hang out with awesome people (friends as well as family) as well. Before we jump into October I want to share a few of my favourite things from September with you.
Creepers by The Fabulous Creepers: As I wrote when I first bought these creepers, I had been on the hunt for the perfect pair, and I’m pretty sure these might be it. I’ve worn them quite a lot this month compared to how many shoes I’ve got, and I’ve already posted one outfit wearing them, and I have a couple of more to show you.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation: My skin has been in a bad condition lately, so I’ve been needing a bit more coverage than usual. I’ve been wearing this foundation almost every day for the past 1,5 month. It’s a light coverage foundation, so you can still see the skin through the product which I love and it still covers up blemishes (to some extent). I use it together with my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer for even more coverage.
Pocket Garden (iPad game): I love playing all sorts of games and pretty much all I’ve been playing the past month (when I’ve had the time) is Pocket Garden on my iPad. I’m obsessed with this game! You basically have you own garden where you grow all sorts of veggies, fruits, flowers, and so on, and then you take orders from restaurants etc. that you have to complete. Love it!
Ally McBeal – season 1 + 2: I love watching TV-series and this past month I’ve been watching the first two seasons of Ally McBeal (I’m currently watching the 3rd season). I didn’t think I would enjoy this series as much as I am, but it’s actually very entertaining. I’ve borrowed all three seasons from my mum and I would usually take a picture of the DVD covers but I already gave her back the first two seasons. She doesn’t own the last two seasons, so it might be a while before I get to watch them.
Call Me Irresponsible (album) – Michael Bublé: I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned it before but I’m a huge fan of Michael Bublé’s music. I bought this album about a year ago I think and I’ve loved it all along, but this month in particular I’ve been listening to it a lot. This music just gets me in such a great mood. I love all the songs on the album, but thought you should start by listening to the title song (if you want to of course).
