Natasha Denona haul

I have a Natasha Denona haul to share with you today. Everything is purchased at Feelunique.

Let’s start with the biggest purchase of the haul; the Diamond & Blush palette in 01 Darya Coral. As you can see, my palette is a bit messy. It’s due to the fact that the bottom left shade (the diamond powder) came broken. It was very difficult for me to send the palette back, so I decided to keep it and I got a refund on the broken shade. I tried my best to press it back in to the pan, and now it’s usable. It’s a super pretty face palette, and I really like it, but it’s too bad that I can’t travel with it, and I have to store it flat.

Let’s continue with another face palette. This is the Love Glow Cheek palette, and I’m pretty sure it launched at the same time as the Love palette. It contains four different formulas/textures, and they’re all very pretty.

And now on to the last two face/cheek products in this haul. I purchased the Contour Sculpting Powder in 01 Light and the Super Glow in 1 Fair. Lately, I’ve been slowly getting a bit back in to contouring, and this ND contour powder is great. The Super Glow is a stunning highlighter that I’ve been enjoying as well. It looks a bit dark in the pan, but it’s super bright on the skin.

Last, but not least, I’ve added three more mini palettes to my growing collection. I picked up the Mini Gold, the Mini Glam, and the Mini Star. I’ve created looks with all of these palettes, I think I used every single shade, and I loved how all three looks turned out. Natasha Denona eyeshadows are just incredible.

Sephora sale haul (late April)

It’s time for a Sephora sale haul. I bought these products in late April (I know, I’m still way behind), and as you can see they’re a mix of cheek and lip products.

First off, let’s talk bronzers. I’ve never really been obsessed with bronzers until recently. I used to have a few bronzers that I loved and wore all the time, but I’ve been so in to trying out new bronzers lately, and these three are good ones. I’ve been wanting to try the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil bronzer for years, and I finally decided to get it. It’s a very nice matte bronzer perfect for fair skin. My favourite of the three so far has without a doubt been the Hourglass Ambient Lighting bronzer (as you might already know if you’ve seen my July 5 favourites post). I got the shade Luminous Bronze Light, and it is just stunning! The last bronzer I got in this Sephora sale was the Huda Beauty Tantour – Contour & Bronzer Cream in Fair, and even though it looks quite dark, it blends out lighter, and it looks beautiful on the skin. I might still like my Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer in Butta Biscuit more, but the Huda Beauty one is up there.

I picked up two blush products from Fenty Beauty. The first one is the Killawatt Freestyle – Foil highlighter duo in Mimosa Sunrise / Sangria Sunset, and even though the name says they’re highlighters, they’re definitely not highlighters on my fair skin. However, they make beautiful glowy blushes, which is why I purchased this duo. I also picked up another Cheeks Out Freestyle cream blush. This is the shade Summertime Wine, and it’s just what it reminds me of.

Last, but not least, I got three lipsticks. All of these lipsticks were heavily discounted. I got the Dior Golden Nights – Diorific lipstick in 072 Shimmery Red, the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Rock’n Shine lipstick in 2 Cacao Bounce, and the Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick in Violet Fury. I’ve only worn the Fenty one so far; the Dior and YSL ones are almost too beautiful to wear. However, I’m pretty sure I’ll wear them some day.

MAC Cruella collection

I LOVE Disney, and I’m really excited to watch Cruella some day. I also love MAC, so of course I had to pick up some pieces from the MAC Cruella collection. And quite a lot of pieces as you can see.

I don’t pick up eyeshadow palettes from MAC collections very often, but the design of this palette was just so fun and different. It’s called the Eyeshadow x8 palette: Cruella To Be Kind, and it has four matte shades and four shimmery shades.

For eyes I also got the Dual-Ended Pro Longwear eyeliner in De-Vinyl/Tightly Laced. Of course it’s a black and a white eyeliner.

I very often buy compacts from LE MAC collections, and I had to have the one from the Cruella collection. This is the powder blush duo in Cruel-la Intensions (shades: Tickled Punk/Cruel-la Intensions), which contains a blush and a highlighter.

These are my first Retro Matte liquid lip colours from MAC, and the shades are called Queen of Mean and Mayhemmed. So far I’ve only worn Mayhemmed (the red one), and I really like it.

If there’s one thing that I collect from MAC it’s their lipsticks. I got all three shades from this collection. They are all matte, and the red is called De Vil In The Details, the peachy-pinky nude is called Sweet-N-Vicious, and the dark one is called Camden Caper. The Sweet-N-Vicious lipstick is the product from the collection I’ve worn the most so far. It’s such a pretty shade; the perfect summer nude.

MAC 25% off spring sale haul

MAC had a 25% off spring sale, so I decided to order a handful of products. I also got a free gift with purchase that I thought I would include in this haul.

I love the Glow Play blushes, so I picked up another shade. This is a peachy pink shade called Cheer Up. I also picked up a couple of products from limited edition collections. I got the Harris Reed eye kohl in Powersurge, which is a bronze shade, and I also got the Prep + Prime Lip from the Black Cherry collection as a back-up. I also got a back-up of the Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly.

From the 2020 holiday collection I got the Flash Drops Trio, which I’d actually tried to purchase before, but it was sold out at that point, but then it came back, so I purchased it again. They are shimmery liquid highlighters, and the shades are very pretty.

The free gift I received contains a Powder Kiss lipstick in Teddy 2.0 (full size), an eye pencil in Coffee (full size), a Powder Kiss liquid lipstick sample, a Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base in Radiance Pink sample, a Fix + deluxe sample, a Cleanse Off Oil sample, and a mini make-up bag. I’m the most excited by the two full size products to be honest, but all in all it was a very nice free gift.

5 favourites – July

July is coming to an end, which means that my summer holiday is coming to an end, but it’s been a lovely, relaxing three weeks with beautiful summer weather most of the time. I’m excited to get back to work again on Monday as well though; I really hope everything will be sort of back to normal (meaning no more online teaching please). When it comes to favourites this month, I’ve had a lot of make-up favourites, which makes sence, because when you travel with a limited amount of make-up, you get to use the same products many times and form a proper opinion on them. So here are my 5 favourites from the month of July.

Natasha Denona Zendo palette: This year (and last year) I’ve been taking more outfit- and make-up pictures due to the lock downs, and I’ve also been shopping more, so these days I’ll be posting e.g. a haul months after I purchased the items. That’s why I sometimes feature items in these favourites posts that I haven’t hauled yet, but that I’ve still been using. I think that’s true for all the items in this favourites post. That is also why this is the first time you see the Natasha Denona Zendo palette on my blog. I’ve falling in love with Natasha Denona palettes this year, and this one is no exception. I love that it contains both warm toned- and cool toned shades, neutrals and more colourful shades. There are still many shades I haven’t worn yet, but I’ve loved the looks I’ve created with this palette so far.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting bronzer (shade: Luminous Bronze Light): I’d been wanting to try an Hourglass bronzer for so long, but they’re so expensive. However, I got one in a Sephora sale in late April, and I’m so glad I finally made the purchase, because this is a stunning bronzer. I’m very into glowy face products these days, and this was pretty much the only bronzer I wore when I was on holiday.

MAC Black Cherry Extra Dimension blush (shade: Dilly-Dolly): I love the Extra Dimension formula from MAC, and I love that the 2021 Black Cherry spring collection contained a handful of Extra Dimension blushes. I picked up one shade, when I initially purchased from the collection, but I kept seeing this light pink shade online, so I had to have that one as well, and it quickly became a favourite. The picture really doesn’t do it justice, but it’s the most beautiful light pink with a gold shift, and it’s super glowy and so stunning.

Essence Mini perfume balm stick trio (01 Mini But Yummy): Essence recently launched a collection of mini products (I’ll be doing a post on some of the items at some point), and I’ve really falling in love with these perfume balm sticks. I don’t like coconut scented things, so I haven’t used that one, but I love the peach and the vanilla scents; especially the vanilla one which is my favourite. They’re so easy to use, and so easy to take with you on the go.

The Sims 4 Cottage Living (expansion pack) + Dream Home Decorator (game pack): I love playing The Sims 4. I’ve played versions of The Sims for almost 20 years now, and I still absolutely love it. Within the last couple of months we got both a new game pack and a new expansion pack, and I’m so excited about both of them. First we got Dream Home Decorator, which came with an interior decorator career and the most amazing furniture pieces. Cottage Living is the farming pack, I think many players have been waiting for. I know I’ve been wanting to have chickens, cows and oversized crops in The Sims for years. I love that after so many years of playing The Sims it still gets me excited. Actually, I think I’ll stop writing this post now and go play.

Large collective Beauty Bay haul

It’s time for another Beauty Bay haul, and this is a rather large one. These are products I purchased in late March/early-mid April.

Let’s start with the BH Cosmetics Remix Dance palettes. I purchased all three of them; the 80’s-, 90’s-, and 00’s Remix Dance palette. I love the packaging, names, and colour stories of all three palettes, and the quality of the shadows is great!

I also purchased two more palettes from the BH Cosmetics travel series, the Smitten in Switzerland palette and the Trendy in Tokyo palette, and I also picked up the Frosé highlighter palette. I have only used these palettes a few times so far, but I’m excited to play around with them some more.

And we’re not done with palettes yet. When Beauty Bay started selling Made By Mitchell, I didn’t hesitate to pick up the two large palettes from the brand. The more muted and green one is called Feet On The Ground and the brighter one is called Head In The Clouds. I’m really impressed by these palettes, and my favourite so far is the Head In The Clouds palette. It’s also nice that they come with matching pouches; they’re great for travelling with palettes.

When I bought the Made By Mitchell palettes, I received a free Made By Mitchell Blursh in the shade Mango Daiquiri, which is a fun orange liquid blush.

And let’s stay with blush for a second. I puchased the Ofra Ride or Die collection, which consists of the Crew blush/bronzer duo and the liquid blush in Authentic. I really like Ofra’s compacts, but I’m not sure I like the liquid blush. I found it difficult to blend out.

Then on to a bit of a mix of things.

I picked up one more Ofra product; the Samantha March Chick Lit Blush Duo, which is very pretty.

I also bought the Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Glow face palette, which comes with a highlighter, blush, and bronzer. For some reason, the highlighter doesn’t fit in to the pan, which is so weird; it looks as if it has shrunk. It’s still pretty though.

I also purchased a couple more products from Soda. I got the Soda #herecomeshtesun shimmer bronzer in Milk Chocolate and the Soda #wegotyoubabe Glitter lipgloss in Diamond Sugar. The bronzer is very small and very shiny. It’s not that pigmented either, so it’s not my favourite. The gloss is nice though.

From Revolution I picked up the Glow Splendour highlighter in So Glazed, which comes in a huge compact.

And now on to the last four products. I decided to try out the By Beauty Bay powder bronzer in Fawn. Fawn is the lightest shade, but it’s not that light. I can still make it work though. I also picked up the By Beauty Bay New Romantic liquid crystal eyeshadow in Morganite, which is a pretty pink/gold colour. I was really excited to receive the Melt Cosmetics Undertone Noods liquid set lipstick in Golden, because I’ve been looking for a yellowy lipstick, or very yellow-based nude, and this one is so good! And last, but not least, I picked up one more Soda product; the #mermaidlips Lip Crystal in Strawberry. It’s a lip balm, and I haven’t tried it yet, so I don’t know exactly what it’s going to look like on the lips.

Another huge Lyko haul

Lyko has been one of my go-to webshops for purchasing make-up in 2021. Especially drugstore/affordable make-up and brands like Essence and Catrice, which aren’t widely available. So I have another huge Lyko haul to share with you today.

I think I purchased the entire Essence #pinkandproud limited edition line. It contains the Brave nail polish in 01 Be Brave. And Never Regret!, the Powerful Lash Princess Curl & Volume mascara in 01 You Can And You Will! (I’ll be posting a first impressions on this mascara at some point), the Unstoppable scunchie & hair clips, the Strong soapy brow styler in 01 Stronger Than Yesterday!, the Wonderful baked blushlighter in 01 Believe In Yourself!, and the Not Sorry glitter lipstick in 01 Sorry, Not Sorry!.

I’ve already featured this soapy brow styler in a favourites post, so I obviously really like this product.

This product is described as a blushlighter. I would wear it as a blush, but it has a strong golden glow/shift to it. Sadly, it came broken, and since I’ve purchased another very similar product (which is also featured in this haul), I might declutter this one and keep the other one.

The last product in the Essence #pinkandproud line is this hot pink glitter lipstick. I didn’t expect too much of it considered the price, but this lipstick is very pigmented and very glittery. I’m quite impressed by it.

I also purchased a few more products from Essence and a couple of other items. From Essence I also got the Let the Party Glow On! Shine Last & Go! gel nail polish in 23 Party Time, The Blush in 80 Breezy, an eyeshadow in 20 Cream, and the Soft & Precise lip pencil in 5 Legendary. Then I got a back up of my favourite nail polish top coat form Rimmel (the Nail Nurse Base & Top Coat), and the new-ish Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless primer, which I’ve been using a lot lately, because it contains SPF 20, and I really like it.

The rest of the products in this haul are from Catrice. I got two Jewel Overload Limited Edition brushes, the presicion eye brush and the blender brush, and the rest I’ll be splitting in to smaller sections.

Let’s start with face products. I got the HD Active Performance Freezing Spray, which is a long wear setting spray, and so far I’m really enjoying this product. It’s cooling and it smells nice, and I do think it makes the make-up last longer. Next, I picked up the One Step Skin Perfector, which is supposed to be a tinted primer with SPF 20. I haven’t tried it yet, so I’m not sure if it really is skin perfecting. Then I picked up the Clean ID High Cover Luminous Matt foundation in 004 Light Almond. I’ve used this foundation a couple of times, but it has a very peachy undertone, and it’s not my favourite colour match. The last product in this section is the True Skin High Cover Concealer in 005 Warm Macadamia, which was way too dark on me, so I’ve already gotten rid of it.

Then we have the blush which is extremely similar to the Essence #pinkandproud Wonderful baked blushlighter. This is the Catrice Cheek Lover Oil-Infused blush in 010 Blooming Hibiscus. The shades are almost identical and the finishes are completely identical, so as I mentioned I might just keep this one and declutter the broken Essence one. The highlighter is the Kaviar Gauche highlighter in C01 Glow Couture. The packaging and design on the product are very pretty, and the highlighter itself is pretty too.

For lips I got the Power Full 5 glossy lip oil in 020 Cherry Blossom Glow. It’s quite sheer, but it feels lovely on the lips. I also got the Better Than Fake Lips plumping lip primer in 010 Pump Up The Lips!. It tinkles a little on the lips, but it’s not uncomfortable, however, it’s quite drying, and I don’t think it plumps that much.

Lastly, I got to nail products from Catrice as well. I got the Sleep Proop top coat, which is sleep proof, but it doesn’t make you nail colour last very long. The nail polish is the More Than Nude nail polish in 13 To Be ContiNUDEd. It’s very sheer, so I had to wear three layers to get sort of decent coverage, but then it just looked thick on the nails, so I’m not a fan of this one. I prefer the Essence nail polishes.

Feelunique 20% off haul

I little while back I stumbled across a 20% off deal at Feeluniques website, so I decided to get a few things.

I picked up two Morphe eyeshadow palettes. I’ve been wanting to get the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette Volume II for a while, so I deciced to pick it up now that I got 20% off. I haven’t played around with it much yet, but I think the colours are beautiful.

The other Morphe palette I decided to get is the 35C Everyday Chic Artistry palette. I haven’t played around with this one much yet either, but once again I loved the colours.

Then I also picked up some other bits and pieces. I got the Real Techniques Easy As 1 2 3 shadow brush duo, which comes with an application brush and a blending brush. I also got another e.l.f. blending brush (I have several of those already).

From e.l.f. I also purchased the Beautifully Bare Sheer Tint finishing powder in Fair/Light and the Jelly highlighter in Bubbly.

Lastly, I purchased the Revlon SkinLights Prismatic highlighter in 202 Twilight Gleam. It was difficult to see the shade online, but it’s too dark on me as a highlighter. However, I can use it as a glowy, bronzy blush topper.

Beauty Bay haul – mainly BH Cosmetics

It’s already time for another Beauty Bay haul, and I have quite a few more waiting to be posted. The products in this haul was purchased in mid-late March.

Most of the products in this haul are from BH Cosmetics, which is a brand that I’m obsessed with at the moment. The quality of their eyeshadows and blushers and highlighters is amazing! I purchased the eyeshadow palette and the blush palette from the Flower Power collection. I love the shades in both palettes, and the packaging and names are so cute.

I’ve been wanting the Avocado Toast palette ever since I purchased the Blueberry Muffin palette, so I had to get it this time around, and the quality and colour selection in this palette is incredible too.

The last BH Cosmetics eyeshadow palette I bought this time around was the Drop Dead Gorgeous Full-On Crazy palette. I think I’ve only done one look with this palette so far, but I remember it to be very pretty.

I also decided to get the Aprés in Aspen highlighter palette from BH Cosmetics. I love a coloured highlighter with certain looks, and I thought this selection of shades was so pretty. I’ve already used this palette quite a bit.

The last thing I got from from BH Cosmetics is the Take Me Back To Brazil brush set, which contains 10 brushes, and BH Cosmetics makes great, affordable brushes and they come in all different kinds of sets.

The last two items in this haul are from Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and I got them on sale. I got the Magic Star setting powder in the shade Lavender, which is a very nice brightening powder; great for setting the undereye area. And then I also got another Velour lip liner in Prom Night, which is Jeffree Star’s classic hot pink shade.

5 favourites – June

I can’t believe that the first summer month has already gone by, but at least we’ve had some lovely summer weather lately. My summer holiday officially begins in a few days, and I so excited to get some time off. Other than being a great month weatherwise, June was also a great month when it comes to favourites. I have so many favourites this month, and it was really difficult to narrow them down to just five, but these are my picks.

H&M x Lee denim jacket: I don’t think I’ve hauled this denim jacket yet (and there are more items in this post that I haven’t hauled yet, because I’m so behind on hauls), but this has been my go-to jacket this past month. I’ve worn is several days a week, and it’s just such a good length/fit and wash.

Multicoloured Teva sandals: I haven’t hauled these sandals yet either, but they’re a more recent purchase. I needed a pair of comfortable flat sandals that I could actually walk in, and I’d heard that Teva sandals were really comfortable, and they are. I’ve worn these almost daily since I got them a couple of weeks ago, and they might not be the prettiest sandals, but I don’t care. Comfort wins in this case. And I do think that they’re kind of cute with the different coloured straps.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze: And here’s yet another product I haven’t hauled yet, but which I enjoy so much that I had to feature it. In my May favourites, I featured a soapy brow styler from Essence, and I do still really like that product, but the ABH Brow Freeze is better. It might be a pretty pricey product, but a little product goes a long way, and it’s so convenient and easy to use, and it makes the brows look great, so I think it’s worth it.

Luca (film): I watched two new Disney films this month; Raya and the Last Dragon and Luca. Even though I liked Raya and the Last Dragon, Luca is the one that stole my heart. I didn’t really have any expectations to the film, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was. It’s the perfect summer animated film.

Zitti E Buoni – Måneskin (song): I’ve expressed my love for Eurovision several times, so I was excited to watch the contest this year after the break last year do to the pandemic. There were more than one entry I would be happy to see win the contest (Iceland and Switzerland were among my favourites), but Måneskin from Italy were the perfect winners. I love their winning song and their sound and look in general, so much so that I purchased their album Teatro d’ira: Vol. I, which is great too. As a Dane, I also enjoy that their band name is the danish word for moonlight.
