5 favourites – March

How has a quarter of the year already gone by?! Time just moves so fast. The calendar says spring, but so far we’ve only had one week of spring weather in Denmark (it snowed yesterday!). I’m really yearning for warmer weather, so hopefully we’ll get some more of that soon. My favourites from the first month of spring are make-up heavy, but I’m really excited about these products, so let’s talk about them.

Natasha Denona Pastel palette: Besides from the Circo Loco palette this is the most exciting palette Natasha Denona has released in my opinion. I love colourful eyeshadows, I love pastels and I love the ND formulas, so I’m really enjoying this palette. It’s just the perfect spring palette, isn’t it?

Catrice All Matt Shine Control Powder Healthy Look (shade: 100 Neutral Fresh Beige): I’ve loved this powder since I purchased it back in September, so I thought it was about time that I featured it in a favourites post. This powder has the prettiest natural glow to it (don’t be fooled by the “all matt” in the name). If you love the Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder, but want to try a much cheaper alternative, try this Catrice powder.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty bronzer (shade: Tan Lines): I think this is my most used bronzer in the month of March. I haven’t hauled it yet, but I had to share it with you, because it’s such a stunning, affordable cream bronzer, and it’s so easy to work with. It’s giving the Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle cream bronzer a run for it’s money.

Rms Beauty Living Luminizer: Here’s another product that I haven’t hauled yet, but that I’ve been obsessed with. This is the first cream highlighter that I’ve truely fallen in love with. It just looks so stunning on the skin.

West Side Story (2021 film): My last favourite is not a make-up product, but a film. I’ve never watched the original West Side Story, though I really want to, but maybe it was a good thing, because then I didn’t have anything to compare the 2021 version to. And I loved the 2021 version. I obviously knew the story and most of the songs, but it was just so well executed. I’m also a big fan of a lot of Steven Spielberg’s work, which might also be a reason why I liked this film.

Monki sale haul (autumn 2021)

I have a Monki haul to share with you today. I purchased all items apart from one on sale.

This is the item that I didn’t buy on sale. I wore these orange checkered trousers in my last outfit post, and I think that they’re so fun and retro looking.

I’m slightly obsessed with this matching oversized blazer and stirrup leggings. I’ve worn them together a couple of times, and I’ve loved those outfits. I definitely gets 80’s vibes from this set.

Here’s another item that I’ve already worn in an outfit post. Even though I prefer colourful clothes, and I still like neutrals especially if there’s a fun print involved.

I haven’t worn this dress yet, because I think it’s more appropriate for spring and summer. But I think it’s really cute, and I’m excited to style it.

This thing is so fluffy and soft, and it’s one of the coziest and most comfortable items in my wardrobe.

And here’s the dalmatian skirt that I wore with my recently posted Cruella De Vil inspired outfit. I’ve got this style of skirt in so many different colourways and prints now.

Last item in this haul is a pair of earrings. I’ve actually worn these orange hoops a lot more than I initially thought I would.

Sephora birthday haul (20% off everything)

I have a 20% off Sephora haul to share with you today. I purchased these product some time last autumn. Some of them during the Sephora birthday sale.

I’ve already posted a couple of make-up looks featuring this palette, but here’s a closer look at the Natasha Denona Glam palette. As you might have noticed I prefer colourful eyeshadows, but this sure is a very pretty cool-toned neutral palette.

I wore both of these products from Anastasia Beverly Hills in my last make-up post. It’s the Stick Blush in the shade Peachy Keen and the Cream Bronzer in Sun Kissed. I’ve heard a lot of people online rave about these cream products, especially the bronzer, and I agree that these are great products. I’ve worn the bronzer quite a bit.

I’ve already posted the Make Up For Ever lipstick in a December haul, because it was a holiday release, but at the same time I purchased the Huda Beauty Glowish Luminous pressed powder in 01 Fair and the Huda Beauty Glowish blush powder in 01 Healthy Peach. I’m still not quite sure how I feel about these two products.

The last product I purchased this time around was the Sephora Collection DO NOT DRINK - Sweet And Salty Blend Vanilla + Sea Salt eau de parfum in the 30 ml bottle. I love vanilla scents, and even though it doesn’t beat the Kayali Vanilla 28 eau de parfum, I still really like this Sephora Collection perfume.

Collective haul (September)

It’s time for a collective haul. These are all things I purchased back in September 2021, and there’s a mix of clothes, shoes, and make-up.

Let’s start with clothes. This jumper is by Asos Design and I love it! I really like sheep, and I just think this jumper is so cute.

Here’s another cute item. This sweater vest is from Stradivarius, and I of course love the Mickey Mouse print, but I also love the pink and red colours together.

I love fun, patterned jeans, and I really like this pair from PULL&BEAR.

I also love fun patterned and/or colourful tights. The first pair is by Asos Design, and the second pair is by a brand called Sneaky Fox.

Jurassic Park is my favourite film (together with Breakfast At Tiffany’s), so I had to have these Jurassic Park x Reebok sneakers. They have even more details on the back, and I just think they’re awesome.

And now on to the make-up. I picked up three powders, two blushers, and a back-up of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze, which is my favourite brow product. One of the powders that I picked up on a separate occasion from the others was the Catrice HD Baking & Setting loose powder in C01 Translucent. The packaging is a bit annoying, so I actually haven’t used it much yet.

The other two powders I picked up were the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose setting powder and the NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop mattifying powder in 01 Fair. I haven’t used the NYX one that much, but I’m obsessed with the Laura Mercier one. I think it might be my new favourite powder.

And lastly, the two blushers that I purchased were the Dior Backstage Rosy Glow blush in 001 Pink and the Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl blush in 05 Ruby Pop. I’ve already featured the Clinique blush in several posts, and I love it! The Dior blush went viral at some point, and it’s super pretty, but I actually haven’t worn it much yet, since it’s not a shade I go for very often.

5 favourites – February

February always go by so quickly. Probably due to the fact that it’s the shortest month, but also because I have a week long holiday in February, which is always lovely. February was a month of ups and downs, but the things in this post is definitely worth talking about, so let’s do just that.

NABLA Skin Bronzing (shade: Ambra): I haven’t hauled this bronzer yet, but I have featured it in a couple of make-up posts. This bronzer has a slight glow or sheen to it, and I’ve been really liking that in a bronzer. The shade of this is also beautiful.

Clinique Cheek Pop Pearl blushes: I love the original Clinique Cheek Pop blushes, but I think I might love the new pearl version even more. I first purchased the shade 05 Ruby Pop (top left corner), and I’ve worn that shade so much these past four months or so. Then I decided to pick up three more shades, and they’re just as stunning.

Essie nail lacquers: I always wear nail polish, and of course I’ve known about Essie, but I’d only tried a few polishes from the brand many years ago. However, recently I’ve been purchasing a handful of Essie nail lacquers, as they’re called, and I’ve been loving every single one. I don’t think I’ve worn another brand throughout February. My favourite shades have been the bright red called Bunches Of Love (I’m wearing that one right now, but I’ve also worn it before), the pink with a gold shift called One Way For One, and the super sparkly orange one called Cupid’s Beau.

Pam & Tommy (TV series): I have both a TV series favourite and a film favourite this month. Let’s start with the series. As soon as I first saw the posters for this series, I was intrigued. At first glance, I thought that Lily James was actually Pamela Anderson until I took at closer look. The costume designs of this series are incredible. I was born in the early 90’s so I don’t remember the incident with the tape, but I remember some of the 90’s in generel, and the mid-90’s are represented so well. I’ve also found it really interesting to learn about this incident and the lives of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee at this time, so I find this series to be an overall enjoyable watch.

Spiderman: No Way Home (film): I’m a huge Spiderman fan, so I’ve been wanting to watch this film ever since it released. However, the pandemic put a stop to that for a while, but I finally got to watch it during my holiday. If you love the previous Spiderman film series with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as much as I do, you’ll love this one.

MAC Tempting Fate

The 2021 autumn collection from MAC was the stunning Tempting Fate collection. The packaging of every single product in this collection is gorgeous, and the shades of the products are beautiful as well. Let’s take a closer look at the individual products.

The palette in this collection is called Eyeshadow x8: Feast Your Eyes. The shades are beautiful, and they come in three new (I think) finishes; Sparkler, Leather Lustre, and Prismetallic. However, the shades are printed in an incorrect order on the back of the palette, which is quite annoying. The right order was on the website back when the collection launched, but it was all a bit confusing.

I decided to pick up one of the eye kohls. This one is in the shade Cobalt Kohl, which is a pretty good description of the colour, I must say:) I wish that bottom of the pencil was the same colour as the actual pencil instead of being lilac. It’s just a lot easier to see what the colour is that way.

The Strobe Face Glaze was a part of the MAC summer 2020 collection, and I thought it was a beautiful product, so I had to pick up one of the Strobe Face Glazes from this collection as well. I chose the shade Punk In Spice, which might look like a darker orangy shade in the tube, but it’s not that dark at all, when you apply it to the face.

I decided to pick up three of the lipsticks. The shades are Burnished Beige (the warm nude), Tarnished Reputation (the burned terracotta orange), and Dusty Grape (the deep burgundy). Aren’t they just beautiful?

The last product I picked up from this collection was the 224S brush, which is a lovely eye blending brush.

Lastly, as a free gift with my order I got the Extended Play Gigablack mascara, which I’ve been wanting to try for a while. I’ve seen people mainly use it on the lower lashes, because is has such a small, skinny brush, and it does work perfectly for that purpose.

Huge collective Sephora haul (August-September)

I have a huge collective Sephora haul to share with you today. These are products I purchased in August and September last year, and I got most of the products 20% off. I’ll let you know which product I didn’t get on sale. Some of the products, I’ve already featured in 5 favourites posts.

Let’s start with one of the main things in this haul; the Natasha Denona Retro palette. This is one of the few items I purchased full prize, because I wanted it as soon as it launched. To be honest I actually haven’t used this palette that much yet, but it’s stunning nonetheless.

Okay, now let’s move on to a bunch of different products. From Natasha Denona I also picked up the Mini Zendo palette and the Love Cheek duo, and from Winky Lux I picked up the Cheeky Rose compact blush in Crown (and it was before it went viral on social media). I also got the Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral, and then I purchased three concealers: the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer in Vanilla (mini), the Too Faced Born This Way super coverage concealer in Snow (mini), and the Fenty Beauty Bright Fix Eye Brightener in Golden Ivory.

Here’s a closer look at the Natasha Denona products. The Mini Zendo palette has quite a unique colour story, but the shades work so well together, and I really liked the look I created with this palette. The Love Cheek duo is just stunning. The outer packaging is obviously beautiful, and so are the cream blush and powder highlighter inside as well.

This is what the Winky Lux blush looks like. It’s so beautiful, and I can’t get myself to use it, because I don’t want to ruin the pretty rose.

I featured this Dior powder in my September favourites last year, and I’m still in love with this product.

I don’t purchase a lot of high end concealers, but I really wanted to try the Fenty Bright Fix and also a couple of well known concealers in the beauty community. I’m still not completely sure how I feel about the Nars and the Too Faced concealers, but I really enjoy the Fenty one.

Here’s a handful of products I picked up at the same time. I’d been wanting to try out some products from Pat McGrath Labs, so I picked up a Skin Fetish: Divine blush in the shade Fleurtatious. It’s such a luxurious product (though a little difficult to open), and the blush itself is beautiful. I also picked up the Fenty Beauty Bomb Posse Mega Mix & Match eyeshadow palette. I’ve only used this palette once so far, and I was quite disappointed in the quality. I like the Snap Shadows from Fenty Beauty and I love that you can attach two Snap Shadows to the back of this palette, but the quality is not the same in this palette as in the Snap Shadows. However, I’ve only used some of the lighter shades, so I have to give the darker shades a try as well. The last product in this little “pile” is the Sephora By Travalo pocket atomizer. I like to be able to travel with perfume without having to bring the whole bottle.

And now on to some Huda Beauty products. First off, I picked up the Glow Obsessions Light highlighter palette and the Wild Obsessions Python palette (this one wasn’t on sale).

This is such a pretty highlighter palette, and I really should use it more.

The colour story of this palette is stunning. I’ve done a look using the blue and greens, and it turned out so beautiful.

I also purchased this Kayali x Huda Beauty Darling Kit, which was such a good deal. It consists of the KAYALI Eau de Parfum rollerball (MUSK | 12 & VANILLA | 28), the Huda Beauty Obsessions palette in Topaz, the Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte lipstick in Interview, and a limited edtion pouch. I’m obsessed with the rollerball; both scents are delicious and they’ve quickly become two of my new favourite scents. I also featured it in my September favourites.

I love most of the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes, and I didn’t have the Topaz one, so I’m excited to add that to my collection. And the lipstick is a pretty nude shade.

Lastly, I got this free gift with one of my orders. It’s the All Eyes On Me gift box, and it includes the Make Up Forever Aqua Resist Smoky Shadow in 16 Copper, the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara (mini), the Nars Climax mascara (mini), and the Sephora Size Up mascara (mini).

Asos sale haul + new Nike AF1

Today’s haul is an Asos sale haul (mostly). It includes shoes, clothes, accessories, and make-up. So let’s get started.

The only thing in this haul that I didn’t get on sale are these Nike Air Force 1 Crater Flyknit MOVE TO ZERO sneakers. I’d been wanting them for a while, and at some point I finally decided to get them. I love the colours and the knitted fabric, and they’re very comfy.

The other pair of shoes in this haul I’ve been kind of obsessed with. I mean, how stunning are these green leather boots from Asos Design! I love the colour, the shape, and everything else about these boots, and I’ve worn them a lot.

And now on to a couple of T-shirts. The purple T-shirt with Mickey Mouse on it is from Daisy Street, and the navy one with the basketball playing skeleton T-Rex is from Adidas.

I also purchased two Christmas T-shirts on sale both from Asos Design. It’s always a good idea to get your Christmas clothes early and on sale.

Let’s get in to the accessories. I purchased the matching necklace to the earrings in this haul, because I thought it would be cute to wear them together. I also got a cute pair of flower earrings from Monki.

Then I also picked up a pair of reddish brown sunglasses and some big hair clips from Asos Design.

And last, but not least, make-up. I’ve already talked about the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter in my latest 5 favourites post, and I really enjoy this product (mostly). I’ve got the shade 1 Fair. I also picked up the Huda Beauty Glowish Soft Radiance bronzing powder in 1 Light, which is a very pretty bronzer.

The last three make-up items I picked up are the Huda Beauty Easy Bake powder in Sugar Cookie, the NYX Sweet Cheeks Glow blush in Silence Is Golden, and NYX Brow Glue Instant brow styler. I really don’t like the packaging on the Huda Beauty powder, and it has a very strong perfumy scent, so I actually haven’t worn it that much, but I’ve liked the way it looks when I’ve worn it. I love the NYX Sweet Cheeks Matte blush in Silence Is Golden, so I really wanted the glowy version as well. They’re both such great yellow blushers. I think I like the NYX Brow Glue Instant brow styler, but it is very sticky. I don’t reach for it very often, because I pretty much always go for the ABH Brow Freeze.

5 favourites – January

It’s the last day of the first month of the new year. A bit crazy, right? I feels like it’s been a long month, but at the same time, I can’t believe that we’ll be in February by tomorrow. Workwise and pandemic wise it was a very tough month, and I have to say that I’m a little nervous about Denmark opening up the country completely and cancelling all restrictions tomorrow. But on a happier note, I had a lot of favourites this month, but as always I’ve narrowed them down to five. So here goes.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (shade: 1 fair): I have yet to haul this product, but I’ve been using it for a few months, and I’ve been especially in to it in January. I’ve only used it as a primer so far, and it gives the skin the mosts beautiful glow. I really like the doe foot applicator, and the luxurious feeling of the bottle, however there’s one thing I can’t stand about the packaging, and that is that the small red letters that make up the writing on the front and especially on the back they do not stick to the bottle, and they go everywhere! So whenever I use this product I’m stuggling to remove little red letters from my face. However, the product itself is so good that I just have to live with that.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo CC Cream (shade: Fair 120N): I just hauled this foundation the other day, and in that haul post I mentioned that it was my favourite product from that haul. This is a full coverage CC Cream, which might sound a bit strange, but it really does have amazing coverage, and the finish is beautiful. I’ve already purchased a back up of this foundation.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch concealer: I only think I’ve hauled one of these concealers, but I’ve actually purchased three different shades; 1, 3, and 4. I’m still not sure that any of these shades are my perfect shade, but I can use them all on one way or another, and the product is so good that I’m going to make use out of them. This is a full coverage concealer, and it blends out beautifully and looks great on the skin.

Clinique all about eyes: I have a skincare favourite this month as well. I got a free mini size Clinique all about eyes with a Sephora order a little while back, and I loved it so much that I purchased a full size (the picture). I’m still using the mini though, because a little product goes a long way, but it just softens the undereye area and reduces circles and puffs exactly as it says on the jar.

Eddie the Eagle (film): I watched several great new (to me) films this month, and it was really hard to pick my favourite, but I actually think the film I enjoyed watching the most was Eddie the Eagle. I’d been wanting to watch this film for so long, and this was the month I finally convinced my boyfriend to watch it with me, and as it turns out, he liked too. It’s just such an uplifting story, which is just what I needed this month, and I loved the performances of both Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman.

Huge Cocopanda haul

I have a huge Cocopanda haul to share with you today. This haul consists of products from e.l.f. Cosmetics, Essence, Wet n Wild, and NYX. Let’s kick things off with e.l.f. Cosmetics.

I purchased some products from the e.l.f. Cosmetics Mint Melt collection. I was sadly only able to get my hands on one of the two Bite-Size Eyeshadows, but I’m glad that I at least got one of them. The one I’ve got is in Chocolate Mint. I also picked up the other three shades of the Mint Melt Glosses (I’d already found the Mint Melt Gloss in the shade Chocolate Chip). The shades are Mint Sprinkle, A Hint of Mint, and Mint Chocolate.

Here are some more products I picked up from e.l.f. I purchased two of the Bite-Size Face Duos in Cantaloupe and Watermelon, one of the Putty Blushes in Bahamas, the Camo CC Cream in Fair 120N, and the Stay All Night micro-fine setting mist. I like all of these products, but my favourite so far has to be the Camo CC Cream.

Here’s a closer look at the blush and highlight colours.

Moving on to Essence. I’ve bought three The Big Glam Caring Glitter Lip Glow lipsticks and three Chrome On duo chrome liquid eyeshadows.

This is what the Glitter Lip Glows look like. I picked up the shades 01 Blinging Out Loud, 02 Let It Bling, and 04 Bam, Bling, Glam. I’m not quite sure how I feel about these. They’re definitely glittery, but I wish that they were a bit more opaque.

The shades I picked up of the Chrome On duo chrome liquid eyeshadows are Oh My Chrome 01, Chrome Over, Beauty 04, and Chrom’azing 05. I’ve heard that these transfer if you use them as liquid eyeshadows as intended. However, I’ve used one of them as a liquid liner, which worked very well.

Now, let’s move on to the last handful of items. From Wet n Wild I purchased the Prime & Set Prime Focus The Impossible primer, the Bare Focus Tinted Skin Perfector in Fair, the Color Icon 10-Pan palette in Call Me Sunshine, and the Colour Icon 5-Pan Palette in Camo-flaunt. I love the Impossible primer (I’ve even featured it in a 5 favourites post), but the Tinted Skin Perfector is too dark on me, even though it’s the lightest shade, so I’ve already decluttered that from my collection. From NYX I picked up the Sweet Cheeks Creamy Powder Blush Glowy in Citrine Rose.

I’ve always really enjoyed the Wet n Wild Color Icon palettes, and these new ones are so nice. I’ve loved the looks I’ve created with these palettes so far.

And here’s a closer look at the NYX blush. I really like these blushes from NYX; both the glowy version and the matte version.
