5 favourites – September

I can’t believe that it’s already October by tomorrow! I spent almost all of September at home on maternity leave, and before October is over, I’ll have a baby! That obviously means that I most likely won’t be blogging consistently for a while, however, it is my intention to continue blogging, but you never know how much and in which ways your life is going to change, when you have a baby. All I know is that my life sure will change, but I’m so excited to meet the little human I’ve been growing inside my body for almost 9 months now. Until the baby decides to see the world on the outside, I’ll continue to blog, and since it’s the last day of the month, it’s time for my 5 favourites from September.

Sigma Beauty Spectrum Color-Correcting Duo in Light to Medium: I haven’t hauled these first three favourites yet, but I’ve been enjoying them so much that I had to feature them in this post. First up, we have a colour corrector, which is not something I’ve been using in the past, but I’ve not been sleeping well during my third trimester, and I think that shows on my undereye area. This little duo from Sigma Beauty is so good at covering up those dark circles; I can either use it underneath concealer or on it’s own, and I can even use both shades, which I wasn’t sure about, when I bought it.

Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow): And speaking of undereyes and concealing, I instantly fell in love with the new Huda Beauty concealer. I don’t buy a lot of high end concealers, but for some reason I was intrigued by this one, and I’m so glad I decided to get it, because it is so good! I love the coverage and finish, and luckily I also found a really good shade match on the first try.

Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up (shade: Rose): The original Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder is probably my favourite loose powder, so I was very excited to try the new Tone Up version in the shade Rose, which as the name suggests has a pink undertone. Light pink powders have been really popular lately, and I see why, because they look so pretty under the eyes.

Oden’s Eye Solmåne II gel liners: I’m very impressed by the entire Oden’s Eye Solmåne II collection, but the products I think I’ve used the most are the gel liners. I got all 15 shades, and I’ve used most of them. The colours are beautiful, they’re very pigmented, and they last a long time on the waterline.

The Sims 4 High School Years (expansion pack): Being on maternity leave you have a lot of time on your hands, and I’ve spent a lot of that time playing The Sims 4. Last month, EA finally released a new expansion pack, and I think many players were excited about it being centered around teens and the high school experience. I still have a lot more game play to discover, but I absolutely love the Create-A-Sim and build/buy items in this pack.

Collective haul (August)

It’s time for my collective haul from August. It’s mainly beauty products this time around, but I also wanted to include some jewellery that I got for my birthday.

I got this jewellery set from my parents for my birthday in August. It consists of a necklace, a charm bracelet and earrings, and it’s from the Danish jewellery brand Maanesten. You might have noticed me wearing these pieces in a couple of make-up posts. I love how dainty and pretty they are.

Before we get into make-up, let’s talk about tools. I love Real Techniques tools and decided to get the Prism Glo Shimmer eye kit, which I found on sale. It comes with seven brushes and a cleanse tin. I also got a new brush for my brows, because the one I had was super old and broken. I got the Kiko Milano Eyes 64 brow comb brush, and so far I have no complaints about it.

Then I also picked up some stuff from Lyko. From Essence I got the Make Beauty Fun highlighter in 01 Happiness Shines From Within and the Cute As Shell face glow booster in 01 You Shell Sea My Glow!. From Catrice I picked up a back-up of the All Matt Shine Control powder Healthy Look in 100 Fresh Neutral Beige, which I love, and I also got the All Matt Plus Shine Control powder in 002 Banana Bright. However, the most exciting item I purchased is probably the LH Cosmetics Shimmer Saga palette. It’s the first product I’ve ever purchased from LH Cosmetics, and I think I chose the perfect one to try out.

Here’s a closer look at the Essence highlighter and the Catrice powders.

It was really difficult to get a good picture of the LH Cosmetics Shimmer Saga palette, but it consists of four stunning shimmery duochrome/multichrome shades. It’s the perfect little companion palette.

On my quest to find fun cream, liquid etc. eyeshadows, I was very excited to try out the new NYX Ultimate Glow Shots liquid eyeshadows. I picked up the following three shades; 04 Grapefruit Glow, 07 Lemon Slayed, and 13 Plum Player. I’m wearing 07 Lemon Slayed and 13 Plum Player in these pictures, and I think they look very pretty, and they were also easy to work with. I might have already picked up a few more shades:)

I have some of the older, classic Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palettes, but I didn’t buy them, when they were the most popular, and I’ve never really gotten into them to be honest. However, I was intrigued by the new(er) Nouveau palette, and I’ve got to say that I’m really happy with this palette so far. I really like this new packaging, and the colour story is more interesting than a lot of the colour stories in the older palettes. I really like the formula of the shadows as well, so I’m excited to play with this palette some more.

The last item in this haul is the Made By Mitchell Where The Mangoes palette. There was something about this colour story that just drew me in. It also reminds me to pull out my other Made By Mitchell palettes, which are actually really good.

First Oden’s Eye haul

I’ve been intrigued by the Swedish make-up brand Oden’s Eye for quite a while, and when I saw that the entire Solmåne II collection was discounted, I decided to make my first order from the brand. Besides the Solmåne II collection, I also got another eyeshadow palette.

The Solmåne II collection includes the eyeshadow palette, 15 gel liners, 6 Sunlight Love blushers, 6 Moonlight Feel highlighters, and a makeup mirror. I’ve already featured the palette in a 5 favourites, and I think it’s stunning. The shades are so pretty, and the quality is great.

I love colourful eyeliners, and these gel liners come in so many stunning colours. They’re really pigmented too, and they last a long time on the waterline.

How absolutely stunning are these blushers! The packaging is beautiful, but so are the shades and embossing on the actual product as well. The three matte shades are called B101 Sunset Clouds, B102 Warm Sun, and B103 Orange Sunny. The three pearlescent shades are called W101 Roseate Love, W102 Peach Gleam, and W103 Sienna Lustre.

The 6 highlighters are just as beautiful as the blushers. It’s more difficult to show them off properly in pictures though, but they’re all duochromes and the shades are quite colourful and interesting. These highlighters are definitely unique to my collection. They’re in the shades H101 Moon talk, H102 Pink Star, H103 Warm Sunshine, H104 Lavender Dream, H105 Azura Shine, and H106 Rose Sky.

The Solmåne makeup mirror comes in two colours; light orange or light purple. I obviously chose the light purple.

Besides the Solmåne collection, I also picked up the Oden’s Eye X Angelica Nyqvist Hela eyeshadow palette. I love Angelica’s Youtube videos, and I think her palette with Oden’s Eye is beautiful. It has such a fun colour story; I really like the greens and pinks together. The quality of the eyeshadows are great too.

Collective haul (July)

It’s time for my collective haul from July. It’s a mix of clothes and make-up. Let’s begin with clothes.

I know that I can’t fit into these two Monki dresses right now, but I thought they were so beautiful so I just had to have them. When I’m not pregnant anymore, I hope to be invited to something where I can wear these dresses.

This Monki dress, on the other hand, you’ve already seen me wear. It’s just super comfortable and really cute. I love the colours.

Here’s another piece that I can’t fit into at the moment, but I’m so excited to wear regular trousers again. Especially corduroy trousers which are some of my favourites, and when I saw this stunning dark purple pair from Monki, I had to have them and save them for after I’ve giving birth.

Let’s move on to make-up. I’ve purchased my first products from Danessa Myricks Beauty. I picked up the Balm Contour in Light 1, the Colorfix Foils eyeshadow in Alien, and the Infinite Chrome Flakes in Laser Beam. I also got the L’Oréal Age Perfect Make-Up Balm foundation in 01 Fair.

Here’s a closer look at the Danessa Myricks Beauty products.

I also picked up the Sigma Renew lip oil in Tint, because I’d heard good things about it. It gives a very pretty glossy look to the lips with a hint of colour.

I love the KVD Beauty Dazzle Stick eyeshadows, and I’ve picked up two more shades; Flash Storm and Force Field. I haven’t worn Force Field yet, but I wore Flash Storm here, and I loved it!

Asos haul (July)

I have an Asos haul to share with you today. It consists of items from all categories; clothes, shoes, accessories, and make-up. So let’s get started.

This is not a maternity dress, but it sure has room of a pregnant belly. It’s from Asos Design and is feels and looks a bit like a duvet, but I think that’s kind of fun.

These next three (and last three) clothing pieces are all from Asos Design Maternity. Oversized T-shirts are nice and comfy when you’re pregnant, but the purple tank top has also been great in the hot summer weather, we had in August. I haven’t worn the leggings yet, but I’m sure they’ll be very comfortable to wear.

Let’s move on to shoes. I haven’t purchased many shoes lately in case my feet grew a lot during pregnancy, but they haven’t, so I decided to get a few new pairs. I’ve already featured these Teva sandals in my latest 5 favourites post, so obviously I love them.

The other pair of sandals, I got, is this lilac chunky pair from Koi Footwear, and I’ve actually worn them multiple times. They’re very cute and comfortable.

The last two pairs are mules. The brown checkered sandal mules are from Asos Design, and the pink chunky ones are from PULL&BEAR. All four pairs of shoes were on sale.

I purchased three accessories. The gold hoops with multicoloured rhinestones are from Asos Design, the hair clips are from Madein, and the necklace with beads that look like sweets is from DesignB.

I’d seen a lot about the NYX Wonder Sticks, so I thought I would try them out. I got one of the Dual-Ended Face Shaping Sticks in the shade 01 Fair and two of the Dual Ended Cream Blush Sticks in 01 Light Peach + Baby Pink and a Limited Edition Pride one in Prism of Love. The colours are very pretty, but I’m not sure how to get the best application yet. I’ve only worn them a few times, so I don’t have a proper opinion on them yet.

From NYX I also got the Ultimate Eye Paint in Exist Fabulously. This is such a pretty shade and actually quite easy to work with. It has nice pigmentation too.

I’ve been wanting to try the e.l.f. Cosmetics No Budge shadow sticks as well, so I picked up three shades; Champagne Crystal, Magnetic Pull, and Rose Gold. They’re a bit more subtle than I thought they would be, but pretty nonetheless and easy to use.

The last product is also something I’ve been wanting to try, and it’s the e.l.f. Cosmetics Brow Lift Gel. My favourite brow product is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze, and this is supposed to be a drugstore dupe for it, so I’m excited to see if it actual is.

Beauty Bay haul (July)

It’s time for a collective Beauty Bay haul. As far as I remember, I made two different orders from Beauty Bay in July, and I thought I could put them together in one big haul.

I purchased three palettes from By BEAUTY BAY; the Loves Notes palette, the New Mood palette, and the TECHNIDAZE palette.

The Love Notes palette was this year’s Valentine’s Day release from By BEAUTY BAY, and I didn’t purchase it when it released, because I already have a lot of purple, pink, and neutral eyeshadows in my collection. However, when I saw that it was on sale at a very affordable price, I decided to get it anyways, because I love the By BEAUTY BAY eyeshadow formulas.

On the other hand, I was sure I wanted the New Mood palette as soon as I saw it. This colour story is interesting with it’s mix of colours and neutrals, and some of the metallics are duochromes, and they’re stunning. Even though I haven’t used all the shades yet, I already know that my favourite shade is Inspired, which is the most beautiful blue-purple duochrome.

This is the first 8 pan palette, I’ve purchased from By BEAUTY BAY, but I just love bright colourful eyeshadows so much, and these shades are so pretty. I used this palette for my most recent make-up look.

I also picked up some more products from the By BEAUTY BAY Disney Colour and BEAUTY BAY collab. I accidentally broke the handle on my Jeffree Star Cosmetics hand held mirror, so I needed a new one and decided to pick up the Alice In Wonderland one from this collab. I also picked up the Shadow Stick Vault, which contains all six shades of the Shadow Sticks, and as you can see, they’re all pretty, colourful shades.

Lastly from By BEAUTY BAY I received this Super Plump lip gloss as a free gift with purchase. It’s in the shade Fizz.

Now on to a few more eye products. As I mentioned in a recent make-up post, I’m really into creams and liquids and all kinds of different types of eyeshadows these days, so I picked up the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Eye Gloss Powder in Voodoo Glass, the Danessa Myricks Beauty Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment in Passion, and I also decided to try the Danessa Myricks Beauty Infinite Chrome Pencil in Jade.

The Jeffree Star Cosmetics Eye Gloss Powder is a beautiful sheer gold with a green shift. The Danessa Myricks Beauty Twin Flames Multichrome Pigment is a pastel pink and lime green duochrome liquid eyeshadow (I’m wearing it here), and the Danessa Myricks Beauty Infinite Chrome Pencil is described as a seafoam green and periwinkle duochrome. I guess, I’m into products that shift green:)

I also picked up a couple of blushers. I got the Physicians Formula Matte Monoi Butter blush in Mauvy Mattes and the Melt Cosmetics Digital Dust Duo blush in Buzz Kill. Both of these products are very aesthetically pleasing, but one is matte and the other is glowy. I’m especially excited about the Melt Cosmetics blush, because I’ve been wanting to try it for so long.

I puchased three highlighters as well. I’ve already worn all three, and I love all three! Even though I own quite a few of the Made By Mitchell Blursh liquid blushers, I’m still not sure how I feel about them, but it’s a different story with this Made By Mitchell Blursh Lights liquid highlighter. I picked up the shade Champagne Spray, and even though I’ve only worn it once so far, I liked it instantly. I also got another shade of the About-Face Light Lock Highlight Fluid, because I love the formula. This time I picked up the shade Unrestrained, which is beautiful soft lavender. And the last highlighter, I purchased, is the famous Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed highlighter in Champagne Pop. It is now called Smashbox x Becca, but the product is the same. I picked up the mini size, because I never go through an entire highlighter.

Lastly, I picked up two base products from e.l.f. Cosmetics. I purchased a back-up of the Flawless Brightening concealer in Fair 10 C, because I just love that product, and I also picked up the Camo powder foundation in Fair 120 N, which I’d heard such good things about. I’ve only used it a few times, but so far I like it a lot.

Cocopanda haul (July)

I have a Cocopanda haul to share with you today. It consists of a mix of products I purchased back in July.

Let’s begin with some random bits. This haul came together because I’ve been wanting to try the Maybelline Superstay Active Wear 30H concealer for a while. I picked up the shade 05 Ivory, which is a good match for my skin. However, I’m not sold on this concealer. At least not yet. I have to test it out a bit more. I also picked up the Wet n Wild Mega Slicks lip gloss in Sinless, which is very pretty. The two products I’m probably the most excited about is the MAC Shadeshifter Duochrome Eye Shadow in 05 Calling Your Bluff and the Clinique Almost Lipstick in 06 Black Honey.

I’d been considering getting one of these MAC eyeshadows, since the launched with last year’s holiday collection, and Cocopanda had this one shade left and it was on sale, so I thought that it was now or never. I haven’t tried it on my eyes yet, but I’m really excited to create an eye look with it.

Apparently this Clinique lipstick has been popular on social media. I just liked the way it looked in swatches and pictures, so I thought I would give it a try. I’m wearing it here, and it’s really pretty. A great lip colour for autumn.

Then I picked up some products from the Essence Cute As Shell collection. I got the Nail Polish in 01 You’re An Ang-Shell!, the Blushlighter in 01 Let Us Take A Shellfie!, and the PH-Reacting Lip Tint in 01 Ready, Shell, Glow!. All three products are very pretty. I’m wearing the blushlighter and the lip tint here.

The last thing I got was this Shelas sponge set. It looks like a holiday release (probably from last year), and it was heavily discounted. I purchased it mainly for the sponge holder, but it’s also nice to have an extra travel case, and I’m also going to try out the sponges at some point.

Collective haul (June)

My June collective haul is a slightly smaller one, and it’s mainly beauty products, but I thought that I would still share them with you.

First off, I purchased some products in the MAC summer sale. I got the Hit The Bull’s Eye Kit, which contains the 24-Hour Extend Eye Base, the Fast Response Eye Cream, and the Prep + Prime highlighter pen in the shade Bright Forecast. The only one of these products that I’ve tried so far is the Prep + Prime highlighter pen, but the shade is sadly a little dark on me. I’m excited to try the other two products though.

From MAC I also purchased the Prep + Prime Fix+ in Pinklite and the MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Soft Frost. This Fix+ has pink shimmer in it, and I thought it would be fun to try. The Extra Dimension Skinfinish is Soft Frost is a permanent shade that I’ve been wanting to try pretty much ever since it launched. It’s described as a white that breaks violet, and I thought that sounded really pretty, and it is.

I received this eye set and a tote bag as free gifts with my order. The eye set consists of the In Extra Dimension 3D Black Lash mascara, the Technakohl liner in Graphblack, and the Brow Set in Clear.

The original Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara is one of my favourite mascara, so I thought I would try out the newer Cosmic Black version. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited to do so.

The last item in the haul is not make-up, but this multipack of earrings from H&M. I think they’re super cute, and I’m pretty sure I’ve worn all of them at this point.

Essence Jurassic World collection

Essence released a Jurassic World collection around the time of the release of the third Jurassic World film, and since I love dinosaurs and the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World trilogies, I obviously had to pick up this collection.

The three make-up products in the collection was an eyeshadow palette in 01 Have A Raw_some Day!, a highlighter in 01 Extra Crispy, and a Ph-reacting lip glow in 01 Runnn!.

The palette is a cute little 8-pan palette with a half neutral half colourful colour story. I wore the palette here, which was actually on the day I went to watch Jurassic World: Dominion at the cinema.

The highlighter is very cute as well. It might look a little dark for fair skin tones, but it did work on me. It was just a more natural highlight.

I’m always a little sceptical when it comes to Ph-reacting lip products, but this one is probably the prettiest one I’ve tried so far. On the lips, it turns into a very pretty glowy pink, and it leaves a very nice stain behind.

The collection also came with a bunch of tools. I picked up the makeup sponge in 01 Bingo! Dino dna. I haven’t tried it yet though.

I also got the two face brushes; the highlighter brush in 01 Must Be A Fast Runner! and the powder brush in 01 Stay In The Car!.

Lastly, I purchased the eye brush set & makeup bag in 01 Bigger, Louder, More Teeth!. I think Essence makes really nice, affordable brushes. And these are just so pretty too. I love the packaging on the whole collection, but pink and orange is one of my favourite colour combos, so that might have something to do with it.

Collective haul (May)

It’s time for my collective haul from May. This haul consists of clothes, shoes, and make-up. Let’s begin with the clothes.

I purchased four dresses from Monki, and I’ve already posted outfits with all four. Monki has been my go-to non-maternity brand throughout my pregnancy, because they make a lot of loose and/or oversized clothes especially dresses. Also, Monki is one of my favourite brands in general; they have the best prints and colour combos.

The only other piece of clothing in this haul is this pair of pleated trousers, which is also from Monki, and I’ve also posted an outfit with these already.

I featured these violet Crocs in my last 5 favourites post with a mix of different Jibbitz. I purchased some of the Jibbitz (the bottom two sets) at the same time as the Crocs, and some of them I already had. I also purchased two sets of Disney Jibbitz, which are now decorating my black Crocs sandals that I use indoors.

Let’s move on to make-up. The main reason why I keep buying the I Heart Revolution X Disney Fairytale palettes is the packaging. However, this Tangled one is actually not bad. I really liked the look I created with this palette.

Next up is a mix of different products. I got the Essence Fix & Last Make-up Gripping Jelly Primer and the MAC Wild Cherry Pro Palette Eye Shadow X 2. I thought the little MAC palette would be nice for travelling. I also picked up two highlighters; the Catrice Glow Lover Oil-Infused highlighter in 010 Glowing Peony and the Pixi + Hello Kitty Glow-y Powder in Sweet Glow.

Here’s a closer look at two highlighters. They are both pinky shades and very pretty.

Essence recently launched a bunch of new gel nail colours, so I picked up a lot of shades; 17 I Lilac You, 23 Tangerine Ahead, 27 Hey Sand Tropez, 34 Love U So Mocha, 41 Violet Voltage, 45 Lavender Vibes Only, 48 Squeeze The Day, and 49 Save Water drink Lime.

Lastly, I picked up a few things from Beauty Bay.

I picked up the new By BEAUTY BAY Bright 2.0 16 Colour Palette. There are also 42 and 9 colour versions, but I liked the 16 colour one the best.

I also purchased another e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty blush. This is in the shade Fiji, and it’s a beautiful red shade.

And then I got my first two products from About-Face. I picked up the Light Lock Highlight Fluid in Fight Or Flight and the About-Face Light Lock Stick in Frenzy. It was love at first application with the liquid highlighter; it’s so stunning! I also like the highlighter stick, however, it’s very glittery, so I don’t think it goes with all make-up looks. But it is pretty nonetheless.
