Not the prettiest, but fun

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really wanted to wear this green lipstick, and my colourful outfit gave me the perfect opportunity to do so. It’s definitely not the prettiest make-up look I’ve ever worn, but I sure had fun creating it.

Time consuming

Here’s the make-up I wore Friday December 16. I didn’t get an opportunity to take pictures of my outfit that day, since it’s a bit more time consuming. However, I can quickly take pictures of my make-up, so here’s another green and red Christmas look.

Limited edition Essence and Catrice haul

I have an Essence and Catrice haul to share with you today. I think most, if not all, of these products are limited edition. Some of them are even holiday releases (I know I’m a bit late). I haven’t tried nearly all of the products yet, but there are some good ones among the ones I have tried.

Let’s begin with Essence. I purchased quite a few items from the Essence x Beauty Benzz Everyday Is A Mystery collection. I picked up the eyeshadow & eyeliner palette in 01 Who Would You Like To Be Today?, the pH-reacting blush stick in 01 We Need More!, the plumping lipgloss in 02 Everyday, and the makeup sponge.

Here’s a closer look at the palette. This is one of the more colourful palettes, I’ve seen from Essence, and I’m excited to try the water activated liners, which is a fun addition to the palette.

Catrice released a holiday collection called Sparks of Joy, which has a very classic red, gold, and shimmery Christmas theme to the packaging. I purchased the nail lacquer in C03 Wrapped In Happiness, the two satin lipsticks in C02 Ruby Kisses For Santa and C01 Red Kisses For Santa, the two blush sticks in C01 All I Want For Christmas Is Red and C02 All I Want For Christmas Is Pink, and the eyeshadow palette in C01 Sparkle & Shine.

This is what the eyeshadow palette looks like. I think the colour story is perfect for Christmas time, but it’ll also be great for autumn. I’m wearing this palette here.

The two lipsticks are a classic red shade (which I’m wearing here) and a dark burgundy shade.

The blush sticks are my favourite products from this haul so far. I really like the formula, and the colours are stunning on the cheeks.

Lastly, I got the Catrice Pearl Glaze pearly eyeshadow & blush palette in C01 Joyful Shimmer Dream. It’s an all shimmer palette, which I like the idea of. It might be a nice companion palette.

Two cream eyeshadows

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wanted to create a slightly quicker make-up look that day, so I did my eye look with two cream eyeshadows and used my face highlighter on my inner corners and browbones.

(Base: primer – Huda Beauty Glowish Blur Jam silicone-free smoothing primer, foundation – Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator (shade: 20 Fair Neutral), concealers – Smashbox x Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Fair/Light + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Sigma Beauty Soft Focus setting powder in Vanilla Bean. Face make-up: bronzer – Benefit Cosmetics Cheek the Mail holiday set (shade: Hoola), blusher – Benefit Cosmetics Cheek the Mail holiday set (shade: Terra), highlighter – Benefit Cosmetics Cheek the Mail holiday set (shade: Cookie). Eye make-up: eyeshadows – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Groundwork + KVD Beauty Dazzle Stick long-wear eyeshadow in Heat Burst + Benefit Cosmetics Cheek the Mail holiday set (shade: Cookie on inner corner and browbone), mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara Cosmic Black, eyeliner – Marc Jacobs Highliner Glam Glitter gel eye crayon in Glam Jam. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Soda #browpurrfection Ultra Thin Brow Liner in 003 Kim. Lips: Gosh Velvet Touch lipliner in 003 Cardinal Red + Smashbox Monster of Horror Be Legendary Prime & Plush lipstick in Dracula)

Retro glam

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I wore the Natasha Denona Retro Glam palette (which I haven’t hauled yet) on my eyes for the first time. I think the look went well with my outfit, and I’m excited to create more looks with the palette.

(Base: primer – Huda Beauty Glowish Blur Jam silicone-free smoothing primer, foundation – Urban Decay Stay Naked Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator (shade: 20 Fair Neutral), concealers – Smashbox x Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector in Fair/Light + NYX Bare With Me concealer serum (shade: 02 Light), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral. Face make-up: bronzer – Rare Beauty Warm Wishes Effortless bronzer in Power Boost, blusher – Fenty Beauty Double Cheek’d Up cream blush duo (shade: Peony Droppa), highlighter – Catrice Disney Villains Cruella liquid highlighter in 020 Divine. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Natasha Denona Retro Glam palette (shades: Holly + Sage + Marlin + Flare + Palladian), mascara – Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara Cosmic Black, eyeliner – NYX Faux Whites eyeliner in Seashell. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Soda #browpurrfection Ultra Thin Brow Liner in 003 Kim. Lips: MAC Powder Kiss liquid lipcolour in A Little Tamed)

5 favourites – December

Happy New Year! Another year has come to an end, and what a year! My biggest dream came true this year, when I became a mother in October, so it’s safe to say that 2022 was my favourite year so far. I’m super excited about 2023; I’m sure it’s going to be a great year as well with many exciting things to come. But before we jump into the new year, let’s say goodbye to the old one with some December favourites.

Black velvet trousers (H&M): I haven’t hauled these trousers yet, but I have already featured them in a couple of outfit posts. They’re just super comfy, and you can easily dress them both up and down.

Silver glitter chunky heels (Monki): When I saw these heels from Monki, I just had to have them. They’re the perfect pair of party shoes, and I’ve worn them for all the festive occasions this holiday season.

Huda Beauty Glowish Blur Jam silicone-free smoothing primer: Here’s another item I haven’t hauled yet, but I’ve already worn this primer a lot. It has a very unique texture and it’s cooling on the skin, which I really like. And it really is smoothing as the name suggests.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Liquid Filter (shade: 1 Fair): I’ve been wanting to try this product since I first saw it. I love the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter, and this is a great dupe for it. It actually has a little more coverage than the Charlotte Tilbury one, and it just looks stunning on the skin.

Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator (shade: 20 Fair): I purchased this foundation a couple of months ago, but I didn’t get into using it until recently, and I’m really enjoying it. It has the perfect amount of coverage and I really like the finish.

Sephora haul – some holiday releases

I have a Sephora haul to share with you today. It includes holiday releases and more, and I’m really excited about these products.

I love Fenty Beauty cheek products, and when I saw the limited edition Double Cheek’d Up cream blush duo, I just had to have it. The shades are called Peony Droppa and Mali’booze, I’ve worn both shades, and they were super pretty on the cheeks. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I don’t buy a lot of Benefit products, but I’ve been intrigued by their blushes and highlighters for a while, and I thought their holiday cheek palettes looked so pretty this year, so I picked up the Cheek the Mail holiday set. The trio includes Terra blush, Hoola bronzer and Cookie highlighter. Terra is actually one of the new blush shades I really wanted to try, and I’ve been wanting to try Cookie highlighter for quite a while. I used to have Hoola bronzer in my collection and loved it, so this is a close to perfect face palette. The packaging is so cute as well.

Tarte is another brand that I’ve never really been interested in, but I’ve purchased a few products from the brand lately among other things this Precious Gems Amazonian Clay cheek palette, which includes five blush shades and the Park Ave Princess bronzer. If this palette had included a highlighter instead of one of the blush shades, it would have been a perfect travel palette.

I also bought the Tarte Maracuja Juicy Squad set, because I’ve been wanting to try the lip plump. This set came with the lip plump in the shade Cherry Blossom and a lipstick in the shade Rose. The lip plump feels very nice and minty on the lips.

I’ve added another Rare Beauty Kind Words matte lip liner and lipstick to my collection. Both are in the shade Wise.

I love the KVD Beauty Dazzle Stick long-wear eyeshadows, and when I saw that they released two new shades, I just had to have them both. The shades are called Green Flash and Heat Burst and both shades are super pretty.

Lastly, I got two free gifts; a Benefit Bad Gal Bang mascara and a KVD Beauty Mini Studded Kiss lipstick in Double Dare.
