5 favourites – July

I’m so lucky that I got to have all of July off to relax and reset before getting back to work again. Especially the last couple of weeks have been some of the best weeks this entire year, which has been a rough year in general. However, I think I might be ready to get back into the swing of things. The weather this past month has been mixed, but we’re had really nice warm and sunny weather lately, and I hope that it’ll continue a little longer. I would say that most of my favourites this month relate to summer and sunny weather in some shape or form, so let’s just get into it.

Crás pastel striped hat: You know I love a hat and especially during summer to protect my scalp (and eyes) from the sun. When I purchased this hat back in March, I had a feeling that it would be my go-to hat this summer and I was right.

Essence Got A Crush On Apricots freckles pen (shade: 01 Après Apricots): I love to add some faux freckles to my face especially during the warmer months, and I’ve been loving this freckles pen from Essence. Sadly, it’s limited edition. Also, it works best together with powder complexion/cheek products.

Glowish Soft Radiance bronzing powder (shade: 01 light): I’ve had this bronzer for a couple of years, and I’ve liked it, but earlier this year I rediscovered it and found out what a beautiful bronzer it is. It’s the only bronzer I brought with my on holiday earlier this month.

Sol de Janeiro Carioca Crush perfume mist: I’m still loving the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists and the Carioca Crush scent is one of this year’s limited edition summer scents. It’s a very light and fruity scent, so indeed perfect for summer.

Bridgerton – season 2 + 3 (TV series): I featured Bridgerton season 1 in my favourites post last month, and when I was ill in the beginning of this month I watched season 2 and 3 within days. I really enjoyed season 2 and 3 as well, and I can’t wait for the next season.

Asos sale haul – accessories and shoes (April 2024)

This is the second part of my huge Asos haul from April. This part includes accessories and shoes (plus a few make-up bits that weren’t on sale). Let’s begin with the accessories.

I purchased two bags. This first one is from the brand House of Holland, which is a brand that I’ve been interested in buying from before, so when I saw this pastel rainbow bag at a very good price, it was a sign.

I really like a beaded bag, and I loved the colours on this one from Asos Design.

I also love a bucket hat, and I thought this colourful one from the brand Baggu that you can tie under your chin was fun and practical.

This western style belt is from My Accessories, and I liked the suede look and the yellowy brown colour.

I’m in need of a new pair of knitted gloves for next winter, and I loved the colours of this pair from Daisy Street.

I don’t buy a lot of new sunglasses these days, because I actually don’t wear sunglasses that often, but I really liked this blue and green cat-eye pair from Topshop, and I have worn them several times.

The last accessories in this haul are these two pairs of earrings from Asos Design. I love statement earrings, and I thought these button style ones were fun.

Moving on to shoes (and there’s a lot of them). This pair of shiny red mules is from a brand called Forever New.

How fun are these platform sandals?! There are from a brand called Shelly’s London, and I love the butterfly design and the 70’s disco vibe.

These chunky sandals from Circus NY are perfect for summer.

I already own these “raindrop” ombré platform sandals from Topshop in blue and green, and I just think that they’re such a fun addition to an outfit.

I also purchased this other pair of chunky platform sandals. These are in a stunning blue velvet and they’re from Asos Design.

I attended two weddings this year, and I wore these pink stilettos at the first one I went to in May. They’re from Asos Design, and they matched the dress I wore perfectly.

Moving on to boots. I know that it’s not the season for boots right now, but autumn and winter will roll around again at some point, and I love to wear all kinds of boots in colder weather. This pair is from Monki, and I love the green soles.

I love the mustard colour of these leather boots from Asos Design.

These two pairs of boots from Asos Design are the same style of boots just in two different colours. I love both the style and the colours of these pairs of boots, and I think they’re be so versatile.

These two pairs of boots from Asos Design are also the same style of boots just in different colours/prints. I love an animal print and I love lilac, and I think the style of boot is very nice.

I’m so excited about these black knee high boots from Jeffrey Campbell. I had a pair of second hand boots similar to these some years ago that I loved, but they were falling apart, so I’m glad to have a new pair of black knee high boots in my collection.

The last pair of shoes in this haul are these white western style mules from Raid. They’re quite unique and fun.

The very last items in this haul are these three e.l.f. Cosmetics Cream Glide lip liners, which weren’t on sale, but I really wanted to try them out. I picked up the shades Baddest Beige, Pinky Swear, and Red Receipt, and they’re very pretty shades.

Soft, ethereal, shimmery

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I really like this soft, ethereal, shimmery pink and purple look.

Nightgown in spring

Here’s what I wore Tuesday May 7. I’ve only ever worn this dress/nightgown in summer, but I thought it would be fun to dress it up for spring by adding tights and boots to the outfit.

(Dress – second hand, tights – Calzedonia, boots – Public Desire)

Soft neutrals

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is probably the most soft neutral make-up look I’ve worn in a very long time. When I wear a neutral eye look, I often go for a slightly darker and more smokey look, but I do like this softer version, and it was perfect for the occasion.

(Base: primer – Essence Hello, Good Stuff! glow serum primer, foundation – Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin serum skin tint (shade: 2), concealers – Sigma Beauty Spectrum Color-Correcting Duo in Light to Medium + Fenty Beauty We’re Even hydrating longwear concealer (shade: 120N), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + e.l.f. Robe and western flair

Here’s what I wore Monday May 6. I went on a brunch date with my boyfriend, and I’d been wanting to wear this fun robe ever since I got it, so I styled it with a bit of western flair, and I think it’s such a fun outfit.

(Robe – Topshop, shirt – second hand, bag – Silfen, trousers – Extro & Vert, socks – H&M, shoes – Raid)

Asos sale haul – clothes (April 2024)

Asos had an incredible sale back in April, which I definitely took advantage of. So much so that I have to split up my haul in two parts. This part is all the clothes I bought, and the second part is going to include accessories and shoes. Let’s just get into it.

Roll neck top are not in season right now, but I love a good roll neck top, so I can save it for colder weather. This ripped, dark green one is from Y.A.S.

This robe type piece from Topshop is so fun. I’ve worn it a couple of times now, and it’s such a fun piece to style. The next outfit I’ll post includes this robe.

This very summery short sleeve shirt is also from Topshop, and I brought it with on holiday earlier this month and wore it several times. I think it works best as a layering pieces.

I’ve already posted a look with this Damson Madder shirt. I just love the colours and the retro looking print.

You probably know by now that I love a matching set, and this set from In The Style feels and looks a little like satin pyjamas, but I don’t mind that.

This matching set is a little out there (the brand is called Extro & Vert, which makes sense), and I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, when I tried it on. I’m still not sure where or when to wear it, but it’ll be my mission to figure that out.

Here’s another fun set from Extro & Vert. I love the colour and the fringes, however, the fringes do tend to fall off.

These colourful trousers are from a brand called Something New, and aren’t they fun?!

I didn’t have a pair of plain blue jeans in my wardrobe that I could actually fit, so I picked up this flared pair from Topshop, and I’ve enjoyed wearing them.

I also got this pair of colourful jeans from The Ragged Priest, and I’ve had fun styling them.

I’m not a sporty person, but I have been interested in trying out a skirt from Adidas Originals, and this red midi skirt with the pink stripes is the perfect skirt for a non-sporty fashion lover like me.

There are three items left in this haul and they’re all dresses. This floral maxi one is from Asos Design, and I’ve already worn it a couple of times.

This maxi dress is also from Asos Design, and the style is not something I would usually wear, but I thought it looked good on, so I’m excited to try to style it up.

And the last dress is this pretty floral one from Topshop. I think this would be a very nice date dress.

Very pretty pastels

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love a pastel make-up look, and I think this look turned out very pretty.

Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: L.A. Girl Perfect Precision lip liner in Pinky + Colourpop The Muppets Glowing Lip in Kissy Kissy)

Something extra

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The crease liner is back, and I love how it adds something extra to an otherwise simple make-up look.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer, foundation – Rare Beauty Positive Light tinted moisturizer (shade: 14W), concealer – NYX Pro Fix Stick correcting concealers (shades: 0.2 Pink + 03 Alabaster), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + e.l.f.
