5 favourites – December

Another year has come to an end, and a new year soon begins. A new decade soon begins to be exact. 2019 had it’s ups and downs, though most ups:) New Year’s Eve is not my favourite night of the year; I usually get sad about Christmas being over. However, I am looking forward to be spending the night with people I love. So happy new year, and let’s say goodbye to the old one with some December favourites.

Sort lang uldfrakke - arvestykke

Long black wool coat: I love outerwear, and I have many coats, but I seem to have been gravitating towards this long black wool coat. It used to be my grandmother’s, which is one of the reasons why I love it, but it also goes with every outfit.

Sorte Cortez m. hvide detaljer - Nike

Black and white Nike Cortez sneakers: Nike Cortez is my favourite sneaker style. I have five different pairs, but my most worn ones this past month had been these black and white ones. I love how sleek they are.

Snefnug øreringe

Snowflake earrings: I got these snowflake earrings as a part of my gift advent calendar this year, and I’ve worn them almost every day since I got them. They’re very festive, but still pretty.

Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions palette

Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions palette: This green palette has been perfect for the festive season. I’ve loved all the looks I’ve created with it, and I’m excited to create even more looks with this gorgeous palette.

Essence The Blush (shade: 10 Befitting): Last month, I featured The Highlighter from Essence, and this month The Blush has been a favourite of mine. Essence is really killing the drugstore make-up game these days.

Asos haul: shoes and hair accessories

I purchased a handful of things from Asos a little while back, and I thought I would share them with you.

Brun, karrygul, beige og blå western mules - Asos

I love fun shoes, and this western inspired mules sure are fun. I can’t wait to style them!

I’m still obsessed with headbands, so I added some more to my collection. I’ve already posted a couple of looks with the black one; it’s been perfect for holiday party looks.

I also love hair clips of all sorts, and these big matte solid coloured ones are great additions to my hair accessories collection.

Metallic, glittery, burgundy

Here’s the make-up I wore with my Christmas Eve outfit. I’m obsessed with this metallic, glittery burgundy lip. It makes me want to wear dark lip colours more often.

Merry Christmas!

DSC_9366DSC_9362

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all having a lovely Christmas or whatever you may be celebrating. In Denmark we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, and this is what I wore yesterday. This Monki dress is so festive with all the jewels, and I thought I would pair it with burgundy tights, since all black outfits are not my thing.

(Dress – Monki, tights – VRS, headband – Asos, heels – & Other Stories)

Monochromatic red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love monochromatic make-up looks, and I love how this red look turned out. I most often go for a matte lipstick, but I love the look of this creamy/glossy red lip.

Chic and festive grandpa

DSC_9316DSC_9317redi

Here’s what I wore Monday December 16. I haven’t hauled this beautiful vintage blazer yet, but I had to wear it over my Christmas sweater vest. I felt like a very chic and festive grandpa in this outfit.

(Blazer – vintage, trousers – second hand, sweater vest – H&M, roll neck top – Stradivarius, boots – Topshop)

Go-to December look

DSC_9288DSC_9284

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I didn’t put on the rest of my party outfit right away, but I wanted to take pictures of my make-up right after application. Green eyelids and red lips have been my go-to make-up look this December. It’s just so festive!

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. Christmas party sparkles

DSC_9299DSC_9298

Here’s what I wore Saturday December 14. I went to a Christmas party with my friends from uni, so I took advantage of the situation and wore a whole lot of sequins and rhinestones. There’s no such thing as too much sparkle in my opinion.

(Skirt + shoes – H&M, jumper + bag – Topshop, headband – Asos)

H&M + Zalando haul

I ordered some stuff from H&M and Zalando before Black Friday, and I thought I would mash them in to one haul.

Sort T-shirt m. ET print - H&M

You probably know by now that I’m a sucker for a film related T-shirt, so of course I had to get this E.T. one from H&M.

Sort lang sweatshirt m. Back to the Future print - H&M

And it’s apparently not only film related T-shirts I like, because this Back to the Future Part II long sweatshirt also found it’s way in to my online shopping basket.

Rød rullekrave - Stradivarius

Another type of item that I can’t have too many off are roll neck tops, and I thought I needed a red one for Christmas time. This one is from Stradivarius, and I’m actually wearing it today.

Brun og sort tigerprint bælte - H&MRøde spænder

I’ve also bought a couple of accessories from H&M. I’m still not over animal print, so I thought the tiger print belt would be a nice addition to my belt collection. The red hair clips were just so pretty and festive, so I had to have those.

Sorte pointed slip-ins m. similisten - H&M

Lastly, I’ve purchased three pairs of shoes. First off, I’ve been missing a pair of flats to wear at parties where I don’t feel like wearing heels, and I thought these pointy slip ons from H&M were really cute.

Sorte støvler m. firkantede snuder - Topshop

Believe or not, but I actually haven’t had a pair of all black ankle boots with a block heel for a while, so I felt like I needed a pair. These ones are from Topshop, and I love the square toe and the shape of the heel.

Brune knælange støvler m. chunky hæl og plateau - mtng

I’ve saved the best for last. I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of ’70s looking brown knee high boots, and when I saw these ones from mtng, I almost screamed. They look like both something that would have been worn in the ’70s and also something a Bratz doll would wear, and for some reason that seemed to be a perfect combo.
