Casual Friday

DSC_3287rediDSC_3286redi

Here’s what I wore Friday August 18. I love a suit-inspired look, and here I went for a more casual version with a T-shirt and sneakers. I’ve never gotten that much wear out of my grey Converse, but I do like them, so I really should wear them more.

Peachy pink

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I might not have been the biggest fan of the outfit, but I really like the make-up I wore with it. This peachy pink look is so summery and pretty.

Not the biggest fan

Here’s what I wore Thursday August 17. I’m not the biggest fan of white jeans; I bought these jeans for a choir performance, where we ended up not wearing white jeans. I had already removed the tags, so I decided to give them a go. This outfit is very simple and summery, and I don’t mind it, but I don’t think I’ll become crazy about white jeans any time soon.

Film style icon: Cher Horowitz

One of the biggest film style icons from the ’90s is without a doubt Cher Horowitz from Clueless (1995). Cher is the queen of plaid; most of the outfits I have chosen involves plaid. She wears a lot of bold colours, but she also looks great in a more neutral colour scheme. If you’re all about that ’90s fashion, Cher is the one to look to for inspiration.

Cher’s yellow plaid outfit is probably the most iconic look from the film. I personally can’t pull-off yellow, but I still think this outfit is fantastic. Cher’s best friend Dionne is also a style icon, and Cher and Dionne look great in their matching plaid outfits.

I think I like Cher’s red plaid outfit even more than her yellow one. I love the oversized coat and the beret.

Another oversized jacket and mini skirt combo. Even when she goes shopping she’s put-together.

The bottoms of the sleeves on this cardigan are incredible! The colour scheme of this look is very muted, which gives it a more girly vibe compared to the previous outfits.

This all red look is amazing! The simple red dress paired with the fabulous jacket/coat is perfect. A little too much maybe, but it’s so Cher.

Night mint

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This is definitely one of the most unusual lipstick colours I own. I don’t feel that it matches a lot of things, but one item it does match is my pair of light mint green velvet trousers.

As comfy as pyjama bottoms

Here’s what I wore Wednesday August 16. These velvet trousers are so flippin’ comfortable! Just as comfy as pyjama bottoms. They’re a challenge to style though, because of the light mint green colour, but I like a styling challenge.

Sable

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to go with brown eye make-up and red lips to match the coffee and writing on my T-shirt. It was a great opportunity to wear my new MAC eye shadow in the shade Sable for the first time, and it’s a perfect shade to wear all over the lid; such a quick, easy, and pretty eye look.

Icing on the cake

DSC_3239rediDSC_3238rediDSC_3236redi

Here’s what I wore Tuesday August 15. This is my absolute favourite outfit that I wore in August! I love the Friends tee paired with the green skirt, and the gingham loafers are the icing on the cake.

(Skirt – second hand, T-shirt – Primark, belt – second hand, loafers – River Island)

Haul of twos

Grå T-shirt m. Friends print - PrimarkMultifarvet strikket top m. statement ærmer - H&MGlitter + fishnet strømperSorte og hvide gingham loafers - River IslandLilla glimmer platform sandaler - H&M

I’ve accumulated some clothes and shoes over the past month, so I thought I would haul them. As you can see, I’ve got two tops, two pairs of socks, and two pairs of shoes to show you. The Friends T-shirt was a birthday present from one of my sisters. Friends is our favourite TV series and I really wanted a Friends themed T-shirt, so she bought this one for me when she was in England a couple of months ago. The second top is from H&M, and I found it on sale. I love the ruffled sleeves and the stripes. It’s just a very fun top. I’ve also bought another pair of glitter socks (light pink) and another pair of fishnet socks (black). I’ve mentioned it before, but I love cute or fun socks; they add a little extra something to an outfit. I’m very excited about both pairs of shoes. Especially the gingham loafers from River Island. I’d been wanting them for three months before I finally decided to buy them, and I love them! The purple glitter heels are from H&M, and they remind me of ’70s disco. I wore them are a party last weekend, and they were so comfortable and a nice pop of colour.

All nude

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As much as I love colours, I do wear an all nude make-up look every now and again.
