Dark and smokey

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I don’t remember the last time I wore an eye look this dark and smokey. As I wrote in my last make-up post, I tend to go for brighter colours, but I don’t hate this look.

Revolution x Friends

I haven’t tried many products from Revolution, but when I saw that they had made a Friends collection, I had to get my hands on some of the products, since I’m a huge Friends fan.

I absolutely had to get the smaller eyeshadow palettes; one for each of the girls. The packaging is super cute, and I love the names of the eyeshadows as well. I’ve only tried the Rachel and the Monica palette once each, so I haven’t formed a proper opinion on these palettes yet, but they do look pretty.

Here’s the inside of the Rachel palette. I love that there’s a shade called dinosaur.

This is the Monica palette. This has a very nice autumnal colour story.

And here’s what the Phoebe palette looks like. There’s some slightly softer shades in this one.

I sadly didn’t manage to get my hands on any of the lipsticks, but I did purchase two lipglosses. I got the Rachel and the Ross shades, which is quite fitting, right? The lids on these glosses are so cute, and I’m excited to try out the formula.

A bit darker and more vampy

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This look is a bit darker and more vampy than most of my “usual” make-up looks (I tend to go for brighter colours), but I really like it.

Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Cremated palette (shades: Burial Gown + Last Respects + The Morgue + Mausoleum + After Life), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Zoeva Graphic Eyes eyeliner in Nude Reflection. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint in Underdawg)

Rosy

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s not very often that I wear rosy make-up looks, but it went with my outfit, and even though it’s a subtle look, I still quite like it.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC Boldly Bare lip pencil + MAC Princess Incognito lipstick)

5 favourites – October

Happy halloween. I’m going to end October with a halloween date with my boyfriend. We’re going to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is very fitting, since we are only a month away from December now, and I’m so, so, so excited for Christmas! I had lots of favourites this past month, but I managed to narrow it down to five, so here goes.

Purple corduroy trousers: As you might have noticed (and I have mentioned) I’ve been obsessed with everything purple this year, and especially the last couple of months. I’d been wanting a pair of purple high waist wide leg trousers for so long, and these Monki ones are perfect, and I’ve worn them a lot. So stay tuned for many more purple looks.

Purple, christmassy sock slippers: It has definitely gotten colder outside, and I’m often cold, so I’ve been wearing these sock slippers (I dont’ know if that’s a thing) almost every day around the apartment. I know they have Christmas trees and snow flakes on them, but because they’re not traditional Christmas colours, I thought I could start wearing them a little early:)

Jeffree Star Cosmetics hand mirror: I didn’t think I would love a hand mirror this much, but I do my make-up very early in the morning when it’s now completely dark outside, and this mirror has been perfect to do my eye make-up in. I do have a standing mirror on my vanity, but it can be difficult to get close enough to my face, especially when I’m only relying on artificial light, so this mirror has been a huge help. And this was the last purple item (at least in this post).

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane green tea: I’m obsessed with everything that smells or tastes like candy cane and peppermint, and this tea is so delicious. It’s decaffeinated, so it’s been my go-to evering tea.

Disney+ (streaming service): I debated with myself whether I should get Disney+ or not, even though I’m a huge Disney fan, but then my sisters asked me if we should get it together, and I said yes immediately, and it was the best decision. I’ve watched so many different things on Disney+ already and there’s still so much more, I’m exicted to watch.

Gorgeous metallic lime

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. How gorgeous is that metallic lime green eyeshadow! I love it!

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Prime Focus Primer Serum, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powder – Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in Grand, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + MAC eye shadows (shades: Lime + Nylon) + MAC Rose-gilded eyeshadow palette (shade: Miss Nefertiti), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MUA Intense Colour lip liner in Red Drama + MAC Red Rock lipstick)

Floral velvet

Here’s what I wore Tuesday September 22. I wanted to create an outfit around this floral velvet jacket that I’ve had for years, but that I think I’ve only worn once before. I picked red and lime green as my accent colours and ended up with this look. My favourite thing about this look might actually be the make-up (especially the eye look), which will be my next post.

(Jacket + T-shirt + necklace + belt – second hand, jeans – Monki, heels – Anna Field)
