Hats (+ bag)

Between Christmas and New Year’s I went second hand shopping with my mum and sisters, and I found three hats and a bag. I used to wear hats fairly often, and I want to start wearing them again. I love the shape of the reddish brown one, and I can’t wait to style it. The beige one is very simple and cute, and the neutral colour makes it very versatile. I bought this red beret in the beginning of December, and now I’ve added a pink one to my hat collection as well. Besides the hats, I also found the baby blue bag. It has two flowers where you open it and a metal chain, and I thought it was very fun and pretty.

I have another clothing haul to show you. These are all pieces I bought last weekend. I went to buy a last Christmas present and a couple of these items, but I found a couple more things I liked. As you can see, I’ve added another Christmas jumper to my collection. I couldn’t resist the cropped Mickey Mouse Christmas jumper at H&M. It is so cute and so comfortable. I went in to H&M to find the Bambi jumper which is again so cute and so comfortable. When I saw the burgundy velvet jumper at Monki, I had to try it on, and it’s the most comfortable and cosy jumper I’ve ever worn! The black velvet top with gold shimmer is what I went in to Monki for, and it’s perfect for the Christmas season. Monki had a 3 for 2 deal on socks, and I love cute socks, so I got two stripy pairs and a Christmas pair. Lastly, I found the red beret which I wore with this outfit in a second hand store, and it’s a really great quality beret. I used to wear hats more often, and I really want to start doing that again.

Black, white, red

Here’s what I wore Saturday October 21. A friend of mine was having a party to celebrate that she got her master’s degree in June. I decided to wear this outfit in a classic black, white, and red colour combination. I love the gingham trousers and red blazer together, and the dinosaur bag is the perfect finishing touch.

Second hand shirts from Helsinki

Bordeauxrød skjorte m. blomster og vifter - second handLyserød, hvid og guld mønstret skjorte - second hand

When I was in Helsinki last month, I went second hand shopping and found these two beautiful shirts. I always look for colourful, patterned shirts, preferably with shoulder pads, and they are not the easiest to find in Denmark, but Helsinki had so many incredible second hand stores. I only travelled with hand luggage, so I wasn’t able to go crazy and buy a lot of things, but I’m very happy with these two pieces.

Bright green

Here’s what I wore Friday September 22. I loved wearing this skirt in the summer with bare legs, but I think it works well with tights too, and I just love that beautiful bright green colour.

Black suit, colourful shirt

Here’s what I wore Thursday September 21. As I’ve mentioned before, I love a suit-inspired look, and I thought that this gorgeous colourful shirt would really pop when worn with a black suit (or a black blazer and black slacks).

5 favourites – October

October has come to an end which means that in only one month it’ll finally be December. October was a very busy month for me; I’ve been working hard on my master’s thesis and I also went on a choir trip to Helsinki. In November my main focus will definitely be my thesis, and I’m pretty sure that December will be here in no time then. But first, here are some of my favourite things from the month of October.

Bordeauxrøde 'herre'sko - Duffy

Burgundy Oxford style shoes by Duffy: I bought these shoes years ago, but I hadn’t really worn them much. I started wearing them more this year, and this past month I’ve been wearing them a lot. I love the dark burgundy colour and the chunky soles.

Belsac taske (second hand)

Warm beige shoulder bag by Belsac: I bought this bag at a second hand store in July, and I decided to bring it with my to Helsinki earlier this month. It was the perfect sized bag for a 5 day trip, and as I’ve mentioned before I love the colour and shape of it.

Juvia’s Place The Saharan eye shadow palette: I expressed my love for this palette in my last post. It’s so gorgeous, and I’m really looking forward to play around with it even more.

FunnyGirl-W

Funny Girl (film): I’d been wanting to watch this film for ages, and I finally got to this month. I started watching it in Helsinki with one of the girls from the choir, and then we watched the rest in Helsinki and Riga airport respectively on our way back home. I already new and loved the music, and Barbra Streissand and Omar Sharif did such an amazing job portraying Fanny Brice and Nick Arnstein.

A.C. Perch Afternoon te

A. C. Perch Afternoon blend tea: When my mum visisted me in the beginning of October, we went to a beautiful tea house and had delicious tea, scones, and petit fours. We tried two different types of tea and our favourite was the Afternoon blend which we purchased a bag of each to take home, so I’ve been drinking a lot of it since.

Colourful shirt

Here’s what I wore Tuesday September 12. How amazing is this shirt! I love all the colours and patterns. I decided to do a very simple styling of it and paired it with my light blue kick flare jeans and black boots.
