The Oden’s Eye Luminous & Shadow collection launched last autumn, and the collection included an eyeshadow palette, three blushes, and three highlighters. I love Oden’s Eye, so I got them all.
This is the Eternal Twilight palette, which is the biggest palette Oden’s Eye has launched so far. It’s not my favourite colour story the brand has ever done, but I did like the look I created with it.
The Shadows blushers and the Luminous highlighters came in similar packaging to the Solmåne Sunlight Love blushers and their Solmåne Moonlight Feel highlighters, but in new colours and with new images.
The Shadows blushers are in the shades (from left to right) D101 Glow Powder, S101 Radiant Flame, and S102 Luminous Heat. They’re all very fun and bright.
The Luminous highlighters are in the shades (from left to right) L101 Dim Glow, L102 Subtle Radiance, and L103 Gentle Firefly. It’s really hard to capture the shifts in a picture, but they’re super sparkly and pretty.
The last month of winter has come to an end, and I’m so ready for spring! The weather forecast includes slightly warmer weather next week, which I’m very excited about. Spring is the time for a fresh starts, and I think that is just what I need. But first, let’s say goodbye to winter and talk about some favourites from February (it’s mostly make-up as per usual).
Colourpop Pretty Fresh Set It Up primer: This primer from Colourpop is fairly new, and it’s a great allround primer. It’s described as a gel cream which is a texture I really like, when it comes to primers, and so far it has worked under every foundation I’ve worn with it.
GlossGods Cosmetics That Base! Crease killer eyeshadow base: From a face primer to an eyeshadow primer. I’ve had this eyeshadow primer/base for about 1,5 years, and I’ve liked it, but I’ve worn it more frequently recently. It’s great underneath pastels and bright eyeshadows.
KVD Beauty Dazzle Stick long-wear eyeshadows: I’ve actually loved these shadow sticks ever since they launched, and as you can see I’ve collected them all. I’ve been using them a handful of times this past month on days where I had to leave early for work, because they’re quick and easy to apply with a finger, and they’re super pretty and sparkly and long-wearing, as the name suggests.
Lethal Cosmetics Aura multichrome liners: I’ve tried a few different formulas of multichrome eyeliners, but these ones from Lethal Cosmetics are my favourites so far. The colours are beautiful, and they show up quite well in the waterline, which not all multichrome liners do.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (film): I love Bridget Jones! Bridget Jones’s Diary (the first film) is one of those films that I can always watch. I actually feel that way about all the films in this series, and even though this last film is not my most favourite from the series, I enjoyed it very much.
I have a Monolith haul to share with you today. This haul includes both eyeshadow palettes, cheek products, and lip products. Let’s begin with the palettes.
I was unsure about whether to get the Bellabeautébar Poison Garden palette or not, but I’m really glad I decided to get it. This colour story is dark and unique and very beautiful.
I love Fantasy Cosmetica’s eyeshadows, so I’ll probably pick up most palettes that they release. This is the Enchanted Autumn palette made in collaboration with Makeup Just For Fun, and the colour story is dark and autumnal (as the name of the palette suggests). I really liked the look I created with it.
I think this little collection from Adebt Cosmetics is so pretty. The eyeshadow palette is called Unity and the blush palette is called Duality. I love that the Adebt Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes are shimmer heavy, and the blushes are beautiful.
I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it before, but Unearthly Cosmetics is another one of my favourite brands, when it comes to eyeshadows, and the Gargoyle palette is right up my alley. I love blues, purples, and greens, and I love them together in the same palette.
And speaking of Unearthly Cosmetics and colour stories right up my alley, the Night Terror palette from the Night Terror collection box is so stunning. The collection also included a liquid highlight in the shade Bizarre and a lipgloss in the shade Dread.
These were my first ever purchases from Kaleidos, which is a brand I’d been wanting to try for a while. The Escape Pod palette was definitely on my wishlist, and it’s very beautiful. I also wanted to try the Untamed Glow glossy lip glaze in Freefall, which is a grey-silver shimmery gloss, which is very unique and very pretty. I really like the component too.
I was so excited to see Singe Beauty releasing colour cosmetics. These are the Evocative Silk Blushes and I picked up three of the four shades. They’re called (from left ot right) Riveting Rhubarb, Persistent Persimmon, and Timid Tomato. It’s a very lovely glowy, but not glittery formula, and the shades are so nice as well.
For the first time I received a gift with my Monolith order. I got the Blend Bunny Cosmetics Omni Lash lash perfecting mascara, which is the black mascara I’m using at the moment. It’s not my favourite mascara I’ve ever tried, but I don’t hate it either.
I have a Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. I picked up a bunch of cheek and lip products. Let’s begin with the cheek products.
I picked up one powder highlighter and two powder blush products. I thought the Glisten Cosmetics X Teletubbies Tubby Custard highlighter was such a pretty pink/blue shifty shade. I really like the NYX Buttermelt blushes, and I was excited to finally find the purple shade called 12 All The Butta in stock. And from Made By Mitchell I got the Mini Blursh Book in Atlas of Anatomy, which has some pretty interesting blush colours.
Speaking of Made By Mitchell, I bought two more shades of the Blursh Lights liquid highlighters; Ice Ice BB and Clear As Day. I really enjoy this liquid highlighter formula. I also got another shade of the Glisten Cosmetics Blooming Blushes. It’s a fun orange shade called Orange You Glad?.
Lastly, I purchased two lip products; the Maybelline Lifter Liner in the shade Peaking and the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane. I featured the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in my December 5 favourites post.
Monolith had an “end of summer” sale in September, so I purchased seven pretty palettes.
I own a lot of Ensley Reign Cosmetics palettes, but I didn’t have the Cosmic Dreamer palette neither the Twisted Tea Party palette. At first glance, these palettes might look like they have a lot of similarities, but they are actually quite different.
I love this long, skinny style of palette from Gourmande Girls Cosmetics, and the Haunted palette was missing from my collection, so I had to pick it up in the sale. This is actually the palette I ended up wearing on Halloween last year.
I’d been eyeing the Lunar Beauty Strawberry Dream palette for a while, and it really is such a pretty palette.
I’d never tried Sydney Grace eyeshadows before, so I decided to get the Tiny Marvels palette by Mel Thompson and the Heaven on Earth palette in the “Light” version. I really liked the looks I created with these palettes.
Lastly, I got the Get Stonned Stonned 10 pan palette, which is an all shimmer palette. The shades I’ve used so far are beautiful.
I have a collective haul to share with you today. It includes clothes, accessories, shoes, and make-up.
The only piece of clothing that I picked up (other than a couple of pairs of tights) was this snake print blazer from H&M that I got on sale. Even though I don’t wear a lot of neutral clothes, I do like animal print, because I think most animal prints look great paired with colour.
My obsession with big flower brooches/pins continues. These two from H&M comes with a tie, so they can be worn around the neck or as a belt as well.
I used to love berets and I hadn’t bought a new one in a while, but I just loved this green colour. It’s from Sui Ava, and I got it on sale.
I also still love coloured tights, and Calzedonia is still one of my favourite brands when it comes to tights, so I was very ecited to see these new colours.
I have two pairs of purple shoes to show you. These boots are from the brand Alma en Pena, and I got them on sale from Zalando. How pretty is that heel?!
And it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that I bought a pair of purple Nike Cortez sneakers. Ever since I first saw that a purple pair of Cortez sneakers would be coming, I knew I had to have them.
Now let’s move on to a few make-up bits. Cosmic Brushes (or Cosmic Beauty) is one of my favourite brands when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, and the Undergrowth palette just has the most stunning murky, grungy green colour story.
Lastly, I purchased some new MAC lip products. I picked up one of the new Glow Play Tendertalk lip balms in the shade Vibe. I have three of the original Glow Play lip balms, but I never really got into them, but this new one I love. I don’t if the formula is different or maybe it’s just the colour, but I love this lilac tinted lip balm; it’s really comfortable, and the colour is so pretty. I also bought three of the newly formulated Macximal sleek satin lipsticks. I got the shades Call It Cozy, Pink Peppermint, and Tilted Denim. I’ve always liked the satin lipstick finish from MAC, and these new ones are lovely. The colours are fun too.
I have a collective second hand haul to share with you today. I found these items in August and September of last year.
I picked up two dresses. I love the colours of the first one, but I’m not quite sure how to style it. And I still love leopard print and animal print in general, so I thought it would be nice to have a leopard print dress in my wardrobe.
This is one of those items that I’m not quite sure about. Do I like it, do I not? I think I need to style it and wear it to know for sure.
On the contrary, I’m sure I love both of these jumpers. I’ve worn both, and I’m excited to wear them again.
Here’s another piece that I was a bit unsure about, but I quite liked it when I styled it up.
This top is so weird and fun that I just had to have it. I love the colour.
This is just a nice tank top with a nautical theme. Perfect for hot summer days.
I really like a waistcoat, and I want to wear them more often, so I had to add this one to my small collection of waistcoats.
This pair of cropped green trousers is my most worn item in this second hand haul. I love these; I love the fit and I love the colour.
The last piece in this haul is this incredible boxy, black hat. I love the shape and the bow in back, and it might be my favourite find included in this haul.
The first month of the new year has already come to an end, and it was a pretty good month overall. At least I’m still optimistic about 2025. Most of my January favourites are beauty related, but that seem to happen a lot.
Dark purple corduroy trousers (Monki): I purchased this pair of corduroys back in July 2022, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I obviously couldn’t fit them then, and I’d almost forgotten about them, until I pulled them out earlier this month. They reminded me of how much I love corduroy trousers plus the colour is delicious.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Powder Filter pressed powder (shade: Fair Neutral Cool): The e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder in Light is my favourite loose powder, so I purchased the new pressed version, as soon as I saw it online. I don’t know if I love it as much as the loose version yet, but I sure have enjoyed using it.
Whats Up Beauty Cheeque Terre bronzer (shade: 10 Light): I don’t see indie brands releasing bronzers very often, but Whats Up Beauty recently did, and I love it. The undertone of this bronzer is so pretty (maybe it’s the lilac running through the powder), and it’s not too pigmented, but it’s buildable.
e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip dewy setting spray: e.l.f. Cosmetics really is one of my favourite more affordable brands, and I love the Power Grip primer, so I was excited to try the Power Grip dewy setting spray. The mist is so fine that you barely feel it on the skin, but my make-up has been looking really good lately, also later on in the day, and I think this setting spray could partly have something to do with it.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Peppermint: In last month’s 5 favourites post, I featured the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane, and this month I had to shout out the Lip Sleeping Mask in Peppermint. I love everything candy cane or peppermint scented, and I love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I’ve worn this lip mask every night since the middle of December.
I have an Asos sale haul to share with you today. If I remember correctly, everything was 25% off.
The only piece of clothing in this haul is this pair of tomato print shorts from Pieces. I’ve already got the matching top, so now I have the whole set.
The only piece of jewellery in this haul is this ring from Asos Design. It looks really pretty, but it’s actually quite uncomfortable to wear.
I bought two pairs of black Crocs with big flower Jibbitz. It’s unlike me to buy a lot of black, but I just loved the flower Jibbitz, and I actually think both pairs are really cute.
Lastly, I picked up five beauty products. I got the e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip primer + 4% Niacinamide, which I love and use a lot. I also picked up two back-ups from e.l.f. Cosmetics; the Halo Glow setting powder in Light, which I started using a little while ago after I used up my old one, and the Squeeze Me lip balm in Vanilla Frosting, which is a lovely lip balm. From e.l.f Skin I bought the Holy Hydration! eye cream, which I’m excited to try, and I also purchased another shade of the Huda Beauty Liquid Blush Filters. It’s in the shade Watermelon Pop, and it’s beautiful.
I have a small Sephora haul to share with you today. It actually contains quite a lot of products though, because I received a very nice gift with my order. Let’s begin with the products I actually bought.
There was a 20% off deal on Sephora Collection so I picked up the Reveal The Real soft radiant skin tint in 100N Fair and the About That Shine sheer shine lipstick in 19 Glazed Confetti.
I love the Haus Labs Color Fuse powder blushes, and the shade Watermelon Bliss is just stunning.
I’d been wanting to try out Glow Recipe, so I bought this set including the Watermelon Glow Pink Juice moisturizer in a mini and a full size of the Strawberry BHA pore-smooth blur drops. I used up the Watermelon Glow Pink Juice moisturizer just a few days ago, and I ended up liking it in the end, even though I thought that I broke me out at one point. The blur drops I keep with my primers.
And I love when Sephora gift you a bunch of minis to try out. With this purchased I got a Huda Beauty liquid matte lipstick in First Class (full size), a Tarte Maracuja Juicy lip plump in Rose Shimmer Glass, a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb universal lip luminizer in Riri 08, a R.E.M. Beauty Essential Drip lip oil in Pickin Petals, a Milk Makeup matte bronzer in Baked, a NARS Laguna bronzing powder in Laguna 02, a Rare Beauty Soft Pinch dewy liquid blush in Encourage, a Natasha Denona I Need A Warm palette single in Dynamism, a Givenchy L’Interdit mascara in 01 Black, a Grande Cosmetics Grand Lash-MD lash enhancing serum, a Make Up For Ever UV Protector Step1 primer, and a Anastasia Beverly Hills loose setting powder in Translucent.
