5 favourites – December

Another year has come to an end and I really can’t believe it. I had a lovely and relaxing Christmas, and I’m looking forward to see what 2017 will bring me. I hope you all have a wonderful night tonight; be safe and take care of each other. Let’s say proper goodbye to 2016 with some December favourites.

dsc_1391

Christmas jumpers: My favourite clothing items this December has been my Christmas jumpers. I’ve been wearing them 3-4 times a week (and everyday the week leading up to Christmas) and I’ve been feeling very festive.

MAC powder blush in Desert Rose: During winter I love wearing deeper blushers, because it looks very pretty and fresh on pale skin, and this MAC one has been my go-to.

rimmel-neglelak-when-i-grow-up

Rimmel 60 seconds Super Shine nail polish (shade: 514 When I Grow Up): This past year I’ve worn mainly neutral shades on my nails, and this taupe bronze colour is stunning. I wore it for two weeks straight in the beginning of December.

the-christmasaurus

The Christmasaurus – Tom Fletcher: I had this book on my wishlist for Christmas, but I already got it on my gift advent calendar in the beginning of December. I finished reading it a few days ago and I loved it. Even though it’s a children’s novel it’s such a lovely Christmas story.

The Little Boy That Santa Claus Forgot – Nat King Cole: My favourite Christmas song this year is a new discovery (though it’s an old song). It’s one of the saddest Christmas songs I’ve ever heard, but also one of the most beautiful ones.

Dark metallic

dsc_0725dsc_0728

As I’ve mentioned I’ve been really into the metallic lip trend lately, but I’ve always been loving metallic nails. This dark blue purple is a gorgeous colour, and I hadn’t worn a dark nail colour in a really long time, so I loved wearing this.

Light grey

This is what my nails have looked like the past week. My nails was in a really bad condition for a long time, but they’ve finally started to grow again and break less.

Princess duochrome

dsc_0559dsc_0556

This is what my nails look like this week. The pictures really don’t do this nail polish justice; it’s a beautiful light blue and pink duochrome and it reminds me of Cinderella and princesses in general. The only downside to this nail polish is that I’m wearing three coates of it, and you can still see my nails through, but apart from that I really like it.

Walk on the wild side

DSC_9393DSC_9395DSC_9398

A couple of weeks ago I found this NARS Andy Warhol Walk On The Wild Side set at a local drugstore and I had to get it. I did a little research and apparently it was a part of the NARS x Andy Warhol Holiday Collection from 2012. It contains an illuminator in Silver Factory, a Larger Than Life lipgloss in Orgasm and nail polish in It. The liquid illuminator is actually silver, but it’s not too silver in my opinion and I quite like it. I’ve worn the lipgloss once on top of a nude lipstick, and it looked really pretty. I haven’t worn the nail polish yet, because my nails are crap at the moment, but I’ll post a picture when I once try it on.

5 favourites – April

Yet another month has come to an end and we’re moving into the last official month of spring (I’m still waiting for the spring weather though). I want to enjoy May, because June will once again be all about exams. But let’s not talk about that right now. Instead, let’s talk about some things I’ve really enjoyed in the month of April.

DSC_9226

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24HR Creamy Mattes gel-cream eyeshadow (shade: Crème De Rose 91): Back in November I compared this Color Tattoo to my beloved MAC Paint Pot in Painterly and found out that they were very similar, but I continued to use Painterly almost every day. This past month I would say I rediscovered this Color Tattoo and I’ve been really enjoying it. I still grab my Painterly Paint Pot more often, but I do really like this cheaper alternative.

DSC_8763

Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette: I’ve only been using this palette the second half of the month, but it has still been my favourite eye shadow palette this month. As I mentioned here I’d been craving this palette for years, and it really is an amazing product.

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette: Another palette I’ve been loving all throughout the month is this highlight and contour palette. I’ve especially been using the four middle shades (Soft Light, Cream, Toffee and Sculpt) a ton.

Gosh Groovy Grey neglelak

Gosh Special Edition nail polish (shade: 003 Groovy Grey): As much as I love colour (in any aspect of my life) there’s something about neutral nail polishes that I can’t resist. This shade is a mix between a nude and a grey, and I love it. I love it so much that I wore it two weeks in a row in the beginning of April.

25 – Adele (album): I’ve always thought Adele was a great singer, but her music never really caught my attention. That’s until she released her 25 album. This album is full of beautiful songs, and if I had to choose a favourite, it would be All I Ask. So amazing!

Accent nails

I’ve been a bit boring when painting my nails lately, so I thought I would give myself and you some inspiration. My favourite way to make my nails a bit more interesting is by painting one (or maybe two) of my nails on each hand in a different colour than the rest. It’s extremely easy, it doesn’t take longer than painting all of your nails in the same colour, and it looks good. I guess I just have to come up with some new colour combos and get back in the nail game.

5 favourites – March

It’s the last day of March, my exams are over, and now I have a week off before my new courses start. Yay! March was a very busy month all about exams, so I’m really looking forward to April. I did manage to find some enjoyable things throughout March, and here are some of my favourites.

DSC_8899

Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15): I’d been waiting and waiting for the Maybelline Fit Me line to make it’s way to Denmark, just so that I could get my hands on the concealer in the right shade, and it was definitely worth the wait. This concealer is so good, and I would recommend it to everyone.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (10 Nude Mauve) lukket

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (shade: 10 Nude Mauve): Another product I’d been craving for the longest time. It’s such a pretty neutral blusher that looks great with any make-up look which is also why I’ve been wearing it a lot.

DSC_8898

Essie nail polish (shade: Brides No Grooms): Back in High school I wore hot pink nail polish all the time, but the last couple of years I think I’ve only worn hot pink on my nails a few times. I think that’s all going to change now that I have this pretty pink polish. I’m wearing it on some of my nails here, and I loved it so much that I wore on all my nails last week.

kitty powers matchmaker

Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker (iPad game): I don’t play that many games on my iPad these days, but after watching people on YouTube playing this game, I decided to try it out myself. I haven’t played it much that past couple of weeks, but I played a ton in the beginning of the month, and it’s a good bit of fun.

disney_cinderella_2015-wide

Cinderella (film): I’ve mentioned before (several times I’m sure) that I love anything Disney, so obviously I’ve been wanting to watch this film ever since it came out last year. I didn’t get the chance to watch it until a week ago, and it was so good. The fairytale is great in itself, but I also loved the cast and the gorgeous costumes. If you’re a Disney fan and you haven’t watched this yet, I really think you should.

Essie trio

DSC_8807DSC_8806DSC_8808DSC_7763

This is what my nails looked like last week. I bought this cute Essie Wedding Collection of three nail polishes a few months ago, but I haven’t worn them until now, because I thought the colours were more spring/summer appropriate. I’m especially loving the hot pink one; the other two are quite sheer, but still pretty.

Taupe and glitter

DSC_8723DSC_8725DSC_8724

This is what my nails look like at the moment. The taupe nail polish is one of my absolute favourites, and even though glitter nail polishes are extremely difficult to remove, I love the look of them.
