Impressed by Essence

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I created this fun green and pink eye look with an Essence eyeshadow palette, and I’m pretty impressed by the pigmentation and quality of the shadows.

Collective haul (June 2023)

I have a collective haul to share with you today. It consists of make-up, clothes, shoes, and one accessory. Let’s begin with the make-up for once.

Let’s just begin with the most exciting item in this haul, at least according to me; the Natasha Denona Yucca palette. This colour story is so stunning! I wore it here, and as I wrote in that post, this will probably become one my favourite Natasha Denona palettes.

I still really like Jeffree Star Cosmetics as a brand, and I especially like the eyeshadow palettes and lip products, so I picked up the Cotton Candy Queen palette and the Hydrating Glitz tinted lip balm in Snow Ball Me. I’m wearing the palette here.

I really like the about-face Cheek Freak Blush Balms, so I purchased two more shades. They’re called Laid and Get Some, and they’re both super pretty.

The last make-up product in this haul is the Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER color corrector in Pink Pomelo. I haven’t used it enough times to really know how I feel about it yet.

Let’s move on to clothes. I’m a 90’s child, so I felt very nostalgic when I saw this Spice Girls T-shirt at Asos. It’s from Asos Design, and I got it 20% off.

The next five items I got in a Monki sale. I love a good button up dress, and I loved the colours and print on this one.

This is just a white T-shirt with a pretty flower print, but I like it a lot, and I’ve worn it quite a few times.

I love Monki shoes and picked up three pairs in the sale. I’ve worn and posted outfits with all three pairs this past summer.

Last pair of shoes are these glittery classic platform Crocs, which I got 70% off (yes, you read that correctly) at Zalando. Both of my sisters bought them as well, so we have sister shoes:)

I don’t buy or wear a lot of scarves these days, but I loved the colours and the Mickey Mouse print of this one from Even&Odd, which I also picked up in a Zalando sale. And that’s the end of this haul.

Purple and orange

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Purple and orange is not a colour combo I wear that often, but I think it’s fun, so I’ll try to remember to play around with this combo again some day.

Asos 20% off haul (May 2023)

I have an Asos haul to share with you today. Asos often has 20% off everything deals, and sometimes I get a bunch of things from my wish list. These are items I picked up back in May.

I already owned this style of Mary Janes from Koi Footwear in purple, but I just thought these denim ones with the bear on them were so cute, so I had to get those as well.

My hair is long and pretty thick, so I need extra big hair clips like this one from DesignB to hold it all in place.

I had another shade of the Iconic London Super Smoother blurring skin tint, but it was too dark on me, so I picked up the shade Cool Fair instead. It actually might be a little too light on me, but it works better than the first shade I got. I love the original e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo concealer, and I’d been wanting to try the hydrating version as well. I got the shade Fair Beige, and I do like this version too.

Lastly, I puchased three products from Huda Beauty. I got another shade of the Easy Bake loose baking & setting powder. It’s the pink shade called Cherry Blossom Cake. I also picked up two of the Lip Blush creamy lip & cheek stains. They’re in the shades Coral Kiss and Rosy Kiss.

Bright lavender and pop of yellow

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You know how much I love a purple eye look, and I think the bright lavender shades with the pop of yellow on the inner corners are so pretty.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Cosmetics Liquid Poreless Putty primer, foundation – KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting foundation balm (shade: Light 006), concealers – Sigma Beauty Spectrum Color-Correcting Duo in Light to Medium + Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Luminous Matte liquid concealer (shade: 1.3G Marshmellow), powders – Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Tone Up in Rose + Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder (shade: 1 Fair), freckles – KimChi Chic Candy Girl Fake Freckles in Afternoon in The Flower Field. Face make-up: bronzer + highlighter – Essence Love That Glow & Bronze palette (shades: Tropical Sunlight + Goddess Glow), blusher – Lethal Cosmetics Magnetic face powder in Dandelion. Eye make-up: base – GlossGods Cosmetics That Base! Crease killer eyeshadow base, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + GlossGods Cosmetics Lavender Skies remixed palette (shades: First Light + Picture Perfect + Pink Clouds + Dreamscape + Daybreak), mascaras – MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara + Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes universal volumizing mascara, eyeliner – MAC Colour Excess Gel pencil eye liner in Lav-It. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Cosmetics Brow Lift + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner in 063 Eastend Snob + GloWish by Huda Beauty Super Jelly lip balm in Blueberry)

Good idea

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. A monochromatic look is always a good idea.

Lyko haul – lips and cheeks (May 2023)

I have a Lyko haul to share with you today, and it’s all lip and cheek products. Let’s begin with lips.

Most of the products in this haul are from Catrice, but I did pick up one of the Maybelline Lifter Glosses from the Candy Drop collection. It’s in the shade 23 Sweetheart. I also got another shade of the Catrice Scandalous matte lipsticks. This beautiful purple is in the shade 080 Casually Overdressed, and I just really like this lipstick formula.

I bought four lip products from the Catrice Secret Garden collection; two lip oils in the shades C01 Lips Don’t Lie and C03 Secret Kiss and two matte lipsticks in C02 Kiss And Tell and C03 Little Secret. I really like both of these lip products.

Lastly, I picked up two cheek products; the Essence Baby Got Blush in 30 Rosé All Day and the Catrice More Than Glow highlighter in 020 Supreme Rose Beam. I already owned both of these products in different shades, and I enjoy both, which is why I purchased more shades.

Glowy and shiny

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love how this make-up look turned out. I love how everything is just so glowy and shiny. Also, I need to wear this lip combo again some day, because it’s simply stunning.

5 favourites – October

I’d been looking forward to October for several reasons; I had a week long break from work and most importantly, my daughter turned 1 year old. I can’t believe that I’ve been a mother for a year now. Time is crazy. Another thing that’s crazy is that the last month of autumn begins tomorrow, which means that my favourite month is only 30 days away. But first, I’m going to end this month by watching The Nightmare Before Christmas and eating Halloween sweets with my boyfriend and of course with some favourites from this past month, so let’s talk about those.

KVD Beauty Good Apple Skin-Perfecting foundation balm (shade: Light 006): I’d been wanting to try this foundation for ages, and when I found it on sale back in September, I decided to finally purchase it, and I’m glad I did. This is such a beautiful foundation, and it’s so fast and easy to apply.

MAC Skinfinish Sunstruck Matte bronzer (shade: Matte Light Rosy): Before I tried this bronzer, I didn’t know that I needed a rosy toned bronzer, but I did, and I love it. I love the radiant version too, but I’ve worn the matte one the most.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze applicator: I had no idea that ABH made a Brow Freeze applicator, and since the Brow Freeze is my favourite brow gel, I had to try this applicator out. I love that it has a classic spoolie on one end and a flat plastic applicator on the other end.

Essence Holo Bomb effect nail lacquers: It’s no secret that I love Essence nail polishes, and these holographic ones are better than I imagined. And so affordable!

Loki season 2 (TV series): I’ve enjoyed most of the Marvel series on Disney+, and I liked the first season of Loki, but it was a bit confusing. The second season, on the other hand, is so much more interesting and also easier to follow. I’m really excited to watch the rest of the episodes.
