Lavender jade

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing my MAC Bao Bao Wan lipstick in the colour Lavender Jade which is not the most wearable colour, and probably not everybody’s cup of tea, but I think it’s fun, and I love it. I think it goes well with the mint green colour of the sweatshirt.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Champagne Truffle + White Chocolate) + MAC Toledo Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom on the lower lash line, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: MAC Lavender Jade lipstick)

Rouge Edition Velvets

I mentioned in this post that my sister had bought some awesome lip products for me as well. It’s these two Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time, and I’m so stoked I finally got them, because they are amazing. I’m obsessed with them! They have a matte finish and they look and feel like velvet. The colours I’ve got are Hot Pepper (03) and Pink Pong (06) and both colours are absolutely gorgeous, so I’m having a really hard time picking my favourite.

Shimmery eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore Monday March 9. As much as I love matte eye shadows, I do enjoy a really shimmery eye look (especially in pinkish shades which are my some of my favourites).

(Eye make-up: base – Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pink Gold (65), eye shadows – Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shades: Bliss + Bare) + Sleek Storm eye shadow palette (shade: Perfect Storm) + Sleek Vintage Romance eye shadow palette (shade: Forever in Florence) + MAC Keepsakes Plum Eyes eye shadow palette (shade: Taupeless), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Maybelline Colorsensational Shine Gloss in 360 Stellar Berry)

All about them cheeks

My sister went to London in March and bought some make-up for me. In this post I’m going to talk about two face palettes, and in another post I’m going to talk about some awesome lip products. Anyways, contour kits are all the rage right now, and my sister showed me the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit over Skype one day, and I asked her if she wanted to buy me one as well. It has a highlight shade, a bronzing shade, and a contour shade. The bronzing and contour shades are a bit on the dark side (at least for my fair skintone), so I haven’t played around with them too much yet. So far I like the highlight shade. It has a tiny bit of sheen to it, and I like to use it to set my under eye area and I also like to use it down the bridge of my nose and bit on the chin. The other palette I got is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice. It’s the first product I’ve used from Makeup Revolution and so far I like it. It contains 8 blush shades (one is more of a highlight shade) in different peachy colours. I haven’t worn all the shades yet, but the ones I have worn I like. I really like that the shades have different finishes; some are matte and some are more shimmery. I can’t wait to spend more time playing around with these palettes.

Kooky

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The eye make-up is the same as what I’m wearing in this post which I’ve been loving as I’ve mentioned. And I can’t believe I haven’t worn my MUA Velvet lip lacquer in the colour Kooky more. It’s the most gorgeous, bold purple colour. I love it!

Another 3 for 2

DSC_6123

I just love 3 for 2 deals at the drugstore. A little while back there was such a deal on Maybelline, and I bought these three lip products. I bought another Colorsensational lipstick. I’d been eyeing the colour Mauve Mania (342), so when I saw the 3 for 2 deal, it was the first product I picked up. I also decided to get another Color Drama lip pencil, and I chose the colour Fuchsia Desire (150). The last product I picked up was one of the Elixir lipglosses that I’ve been wanting to try out for a long time. I got the colour Hibiscus Haven (110). I haven’t tried it on yet, but I like the colour, the applicator, and the cute packaging.

Fog

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. If you find blue eye shadow a bit intimidating  try a dusty, matte shade like the one I’m wearing in these pictures. I think it’s a nice way of wearing blue eye shadow.

(Eye make-up: base – e.l.f. Eyelid Primer in Sheer, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shades: Fade + Fog) + Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shade: Champagne Truffle) + MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Revlon Colourburst Balm Stain in 045 Romantic)

Simply defined

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. The eye make-up was a favourite of mine in March; it’s very simple, but still defines the eye. And the lipstick is just the perfect classic, matte red shade that glams up any look.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shades: Bare + Fade + Smoke) + Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Champagne Truffle + White Chocolate), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Rimmel Moisture Renew Universal Transparent Lipliner in 001 Universal + L’Oréal Collection Exclusive lipstick in Blake’s Pure Red)

5 favourites – March

The first month of spring has come to an end, and right now I’m enjoying my Easter holiday with my family, so this post is pre-scheduled. March was mostly based around exams and choir concerts in my case, so it was quite a tough month, but it ended with a holiday which was just what I needed:) Anyways, here’s 5 favourites from the month of March.

DSC_5901

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade: Oh dear, this highlighter is one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe it took me so long to decide to buy it. If you’re obsessed with highlighters like I am, and you don’t already have this one in your collection, you should go buy it immediately.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge: I’ve previously had a make-up sponge as a favourite, but that one was not good compared to this Real Techniques one. I love using the flat side to apply my foundation and the tip to blend out concealer.

Rimmel Metal Rush nail polish in 100 Pearly Queen: This is the first time I’ve had a nail polish as one of my 5 favourites which is mainly due to the fact that I usually wear a different nail polish each week. But in the beginning of this month I wore this nail polish two weeks in a row, because I just love they way it looks on the nails.

maleficent

Maleficent (film): I absolutely love Disney films, and I’d been wanting to watch Maleficent since it came out last year, but I didn’t get around to it until this month. It wasn’t at all how I’d imagined it; it was way better! I’ve never been a fan of Angelina Jolie, but I think she’s brilliant in this film, and so stunning.

Disney Piano Collection by Hirohashi Makiko: I believe one of the reasons why I love Disney films as much as I do is the amazing music in them. A couple of months back, I discovered these incredible piano versions of famous Disney songs which I’ve had playing in the background while studying for my exams. They’re just so relaxing and beautiful. There are several more of these types of videos on YouTube, but this one has been the one I’ve been listening to the most. Enjoy!
