Bold liner

Here’s the make-up I wore Monday March 2. As I wrote in this post I’ve been experimenting with black liner, and as you can see it turned out rather bold. I quite like it though, especially paired with a nude lip.

MAC Bao Bao Wan

When I bought these MAC lippies online, I also bought this lipstick from the MAC Bao Bao Wan collection. It’s a limited edition shade, and it’s called Lavender Jade. When I saw it, I just couldn’t resist. It’s a matte lavender purple colour, and it’s so bright and so fun. Probably not the most wearable colour, but I love it! Oh, and the packaging is gorgeous too. Love the copper details.

Play with fire

Here’s the make-up I wore Monday February 23. I’m wearing the Rimmel Provocalips in the colour Play With Fire on my lips, and I love it. It’s such a great deep, but not too deep, red, and I’m actually wearing it today as well. I think a colour like this looks great paired with a golden/bronze eye. I just think a make-up look like this really dresses up a casual outfit.

MAC Toledo

I had been waiting for the MAC Toledo collection to come to Denmark, and when it finally did I was lucky enough to get my hands on the three products I wanted. Before I go further into details about the products (which are all limited edition), I just want to quickly adress the packaging of this collection. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but I personally love it. I think it’s so cool and different and pretty, and I love the rubbery texture of it.

I was actually a bit in doubt whether I should get one of the ombre blushers from the collection, but when I saw and swatch this one in store, I just had to have. I got the colour Azalea Blossom which goes from a light baby pink into a gorgeous purple. It’s very different from any other blusher I own, and I think it’s absolutely beautiful.

On the other hand I was not at all in doubt whether I should buy these lip products or not. For once I actually fell in love with the lipgloss (or lipglass I might say) at first and then decided to get the matching lipstick. They are both in the colour Oxblood which is a very strange name for nude lip products. Anyways, the lipglass has a bit of a pinky/mauve undertone, whereas the lipstick is a (matte) brown nude with a slightly peachy undertone. Nonetheless, they look incredible together, and I’m really happy I bought both of them.

Simple wing

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. In late February/early March I experimented a lot with black liner, and this is one of the looks I did. I love the combination of a simple winged liner, long black curled lashes, and a pop of colour on the lips.

Lightscapade

In this post I mentioned that I had bought another highlighter as well, and here it is. I’ve been craving the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade for ages, and about a month ago I finally bought it, and I’m so glad I did. It’s the most gorgeous pearly, champagne shade; perfect for fair skin. You can apply it very lightly for a subtle highlight, but you can also build it up for a more intense look. I know this is not the most affordable highlighter, but I definitely think it’s worth the money. If you’re looking for a good drugstore highlighter, I’ll recommend the e.l.f. Baked Blush in Pink Tastic.

Along the lower lash line

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. If you’re one of those girls who swear by neutral eye shadows, but want to experiment with colour, a great way of starting out is by applying a colour along your lower lash line. I used a dusty blue shade in this look which I think looks great paired with a soft, red lip.

Pink Tastic

There’s nothing like pretty, highlighted cheekbones to complete a make-up look. My favourite highlighter for the past year or so has been the Stila All Over Shimmer Duo Highlighter in Kitten, but I thought it was time to mix it up a bit in the highlight department, so I bought two new highlighters last month. One of them is this e.l.f. Baked Blush in the colour Pink Tastic. The name says it’s a blusher, but it’s definitely a highlighter. I’d heard so many good things about this highlighter, and it really is a great product and so affordable. It has a slight peachy pink tint to it, and you can really build it up if you want an intense highlight, but you can also dust it lightly over the skin for a more subtle sheen. I really like this highlighter, but I like the other one I bought even more, but more about that in another post.

I’ll call you

DSC_5799

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing one of the Rimmel Provocalips (200 I’ll Call You) and I love it! They’re in general super long lasting and feel great on the lips when you wear the ‘lock and shine’ balm on top.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shades: Bliss + Sunset + Sandstone + Bare + Kitten), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in 200 I’ll Call You)

Subtle bronze

DSC_5789

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m wearing the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and on Bronze without any shadows on top; I just blending out the edges with a matte midtone brown and added a bit of gold to the inner conners. I think it’s such a nice, subtle, bronze look which looks gorgeous paired with a berry lip.
