Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. As I wrote in the outfit post the shirt was the inspiration behind my make-up look. As I have mentioned and as you might have noticed I haven’t done a lot of make-up shopping (or any shopping for that matter) the past couple of months, so I’ve been trying to use some make-up I haven’t been using in a long time. The main eye shadow in this look is an eye shadow from The Body Shop that I hadn’t worn in ages, and it turned out to be a perfect match for the shirt, and I love how the look turned out.

Here’s the make-up I wore Thursday April 23. The lipstick I’m wearing is one of my oldest lipsticks (without being too old), but I still love it, and I especially like to wear it during spring and summer.

May has come to an end, and the first month of summer starts tomorrow, also known as the month of exams (at least in my case) or simply June. Even though I’m not looking forward to my exams, I’m at least going to study in some nice and improved surroundings. I didn’t move, but it feels a bit like it; I got a new kitchen this week, moved some stuff around and I’m getting rid of some stuff that made my place look and feel crouded. I even got myself a little vanity type space. Anyhow, before we jump into June, here’s some of my favourite things from the month of May.
MAC lipstick in Steam Heat: I almost didn’t buy this lipstick, because I’m trying to save some money for my summer holiday, but I couldn’t resist the pretty packaging. Luckily, not only the packaging is pretty, so is the actual lipstick. It’s such a gorgeous red shade, and I’ve been wearing it a lot this past month.
Tangle Teezer: My hair brush broke a while back, so my mum told me to get a Tangle Teezer. I’d obviously heard about them before and that they’re supposed to be really good, so I tried my mum’s, and I’ve never brushed out my hair so easily before. If you have difficulties brushing out your hair, and you don’t already own one of these, go get one!
Stegosaurus necklace: This is actual not only a monthly favourite; this is my absolute favourite necklace. My mum bought the pendant for me at the American Museum of Natural History in New York in October 2013, and then I went and bought a necklace for it. This has been one of my most worn necklaces ever since I got it, and this past month I haven’t worn many other necklaces.
Pride and Prejudice (TV mini-series): When I was ill earlier this month I watched the whole Pride and Prejudice BBC mini-series in one day. It wasn’t my first time watching it, and even though I find some of the scenes a bit lengthy, I still enjoyed it a lot. I just think it’s a lovely story. Btw, I definitely prefer this mini-series over the film with Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Bennet.
Heroes – Måns Zelmerlöw: First of all, I have to mention that I’m a huge Eurovision Song Contest fan, and even though Denmark didn’t make it through to the finals this year, I still enjoyed watching both semi-finals and of course the big final. Second of all, I know people are saying that the Scandinavian countries are always voting for each other, but this year Sweden just had the best song, so I had to vote for them:) Måns Zelmerlöw performed this amazing song to perfection, and if you haven’t watched his performance already, you can watch right here.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I went for a bronzy eye with a pop of turquoise on the water line (to match the sweatshirt) and a nude lip.
(Eye make-up: base – Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and on Bronze (35), eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + White Chocolate), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Mua Intense Glitter eyeliner in Turquoise. Lips: MAC Oxblood lipstick)
When MAC came out with this years summer collection I just had to get my hands on one of the lipsticks. The collection is called Wash & Dry, and I bought one of the limited edition lipstick shades. It’s called Steam Heat and is a gorgeous yellow based red with a satin finish, and I absolutely love it! It has become my new favourite red lipstick, and it’s the perfect red for spring and summer.
Here’s the make-up I wore Thursday April 16. I didn’t have time to take outfit pictures that day, but I snapped a quick picture of my make-up. I think it’s a very pretty and wearable look.
(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shade: Bare) + Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Semi-Sweet + White Chocolate + Champagne Truffle), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lips: MAC No Faux Pas lipstick)
My youngest sister gave me this NYX Butter Gloss when she came home from a school trip to Berlin. It’s my first NYX product, and I’ve been wanting to try a Butter Gloss for a long time. It’s in the colour Cherry Cheese Cake, and it’s a very pretty peachy orange shade. I’m wearing it for the first time today, and so far I’m really happy with this product. It has a nice pigmentation, and I think it’s very comfortable on the lips. For a gloss it lasts a very decent amount of time as well. The only thing I don’t like about this gloss is the scent which is too sweet for my taste, but luckily it goes away almost instantly after you’ve applied it to your lips.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s really simple and nothing new, but I just wanted to show you the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipstick in Hot Pepper in action. I just love the colour and finish of this product.
Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I’m crazy about the lips! It’s a mix of Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet lip pencil in 410 Fab Orange and MAC Morange lipstick, and I think it looks absolutely gorgeous. I love orange lips in general and I need to wear them more often.
