5 favourites – March

It’s the last day of March, my exams are over, and now I have a week off before my new courses start. Yay! March was a very busy month all about exams, so I’m really looking forward to April. I did manage to find some enjoyable things throughout March, and here are some of my favourites.

Maybelline Fit Me concealer (shade: 15): I’d been waiting and waiting for the Maybelline Fit Me line to make it’s way to Denmark, just so that I could get my hands on the concealer in the right shade, and it was definitely worth the wait. This concealer is so good, and I would recommend it to everyone.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (10 Nude Mauve) lukket

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (shade: 10 Nude Mauve): Another product I’d been craving for the longest time. It’s such a pretty neutral blusher that looks great with any make-up look which is also why I’ve been wearing it a lot.

Essie nail polish (shade: Brides No Grooms): Back in High school I wore hot pink nail polish all the time, but the last couple of years I think I’ve only worn hot pink on my nails a few times. I think that’s all going to change now that I have this pretty pink polish. I’m wearing it on some of my nails here, and I loved it so much that I wore on all my nails last week.

kitty powers matchmaker

Kitty Powers’ Matchmaker (iPad game): I don’t play that many games on my iPad these days, but after watching people on YouTube playing this game, I decided to try it out myself. I haven’t played it much that past couple of weeks, but I played a ton in the beginning of the month, and it’s a good bit of fun.

disney_cinderella_2015-wide

Cinderella (film): I’ve mentioned before (several times I’m sure) that I love anything Disney, so obviously I’ve been wanting to watch this film ever since it came out last year. I didn’t get the chance to watch it until a week ago, and it was so good. The fairytale is great in itself, but I also loved the cast and the gorgeous costumes. If you’re a Disney fan and you haven’t watched this yet, I really think you should.

The face of a cowgirl

Here’s the make-up I wore with my cowgirl costume. I went with brown eyes and red lips to match the colour scheme of the costume.

Fit me

Maybelline Fit MeDSC_8844DSC_8846DSC_8850

The Maybelline Fit Me line has finally made its way to Denmark, so I decided to try out the foundation, concealer and powder. My favourite product is definitely the concealer. It’s so good. It has great coverage and it looks beautiful on the skin. The foundation is very dewy, so if you have very oily skin, you might not like it, or at least you would have to set it with powder which I would do anyways. In the beginning I wasn’t sure I liked it, but I’ve been wearing it the past few days and I’ve liked the way my skin has looked, so I guess I have mixed feelings about this foundation. The powder feels really soft and light on the skin. It has a light coverage and it doesn’t look cakey on me, so I quite like it. The compact also has a mirror and comes with a puff that makes it easy to touch up on the go. In general I love that the Fit Me line has several shades that works on fair skin; I find that it can be extremely difficult to find good foundation and concealer shades for fair skin at the drugstore.

Pops of purple

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love adding pops of colour to my make-up looks. Purple is my favourite colour, and I love how this look turned out.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After matte eye shadow palette (shades: Bare + Fade + Chino) + Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shade: Champagne Truffle) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone + MAC Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom on lower lash line, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Collection 2000 Kohl Eyeliner Precision Colour in 29 Purple Passion. Nude’tude and FratBoy

DSC_8626

Last month I finally bought some products from the Balm that I’ve been wanting for quite a while. I haven’t been able to show them to you until know, because I also bought my sister’s birthday present at the same webside, and I didn’t want her to get too suspicious. Anyways, I bought the Nude’tude eye shadow palette and the FratBoy blusher.

I’ve only worn eye shadows from this palette a few times so far, but the shadows I’ve used, I really like. I’ve swatched all the shades, and the pigmentation is great. As you can see, it’s a neutral palette, but I think it has a nice variety of colours, and I’m looking forward to create more looks with this palette. I absolutely love the packaging; the Balm’s packaging is always incredibly cute.

I’ve also been wanting to try out the Balm’s Boy blushers, and I decided that FratBoy should be my first one. It’s a beautiful coral pink, perfect for spring and summer, and I really like it. Once again the packaging is adorable.

Darker red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. You might know by now that my favourite red lip is a bright, yellow-based one, but I love darker red lips as well.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: White Chocolate + Milk Chocolate + Hazelnut + Créme Brulee), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Ultimate go-to look

DSC_8676DSC_8678

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I know I’ve been wearing a lot of cool-toned neutral eye looks lately, but it’s been my go-to eye look for the past couple of months. And red is my go-to lip colour, so this is pretty much my ultimate go-to make-up look.

(Base: primer – Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer 002, foundation – L’Oréal True Match foundation (shade: 1.5 N Lin/Linen), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal True Match concealer (shade: 1 Ivory), powders – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shades: Vanilla + Banana) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit Light to Medium (shade: Fawn) +Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush palette, blusher – MAC Mineralize blush in Modest Blush, highlighter – MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade. Creme puff

I’ve been wanting to try out the Max Factor Creme Puff blushers ever since the launched and a few weeks ago I finally bought one. I chose the shade 10 Nude Mauve, because I didn’t have anything like it already, and I love the colour. It’s a baked product and it has such a nice sheen to it. This particular shade is the kind of blush shade that you can wear with pretty much any make-up look. I would love to try out some more shades, because I really like this one.

Colourful options

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love that my colourful dinosaur sweatshirt gives me so many colourful options when it comes to make-up.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Zoeva En Taupe eye shadow palette (shades: Hour By Hour + Gallery + Sheers & Voiles) + Stila All Over Shimmer Duo highlighter in Kitten (light shade on browbone), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Glitter eyeliner in Jade Jewel. A pop of green

Here’s the make-up I wore Tuesday February 9. I think a coloured eyeliner is the perfect way to incorporate a pop of colour into your make-up look. It looks fun and fresh. I love it.
