’80s Barbie doll

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I love blue eye make-up and pink lips together. It reminds me of both ’80s make-up and Barbie dolls, and I don’t mind either.

Mixed beauty haul

DSC_9971

This is a mixed bag of beauty products that I’ve purchased recently, and I thought I would put them together in a haul. I’ve heard so much about the e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, so when I found it at my local super market, I decided to give it a go. When I purchased the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust palette I also got the Velour liquid lipstick in the shade Dominatrix, which has been on my wishlist for so long. The MAC Fix+ is from the new Petal Power collection, and I had to have it, because it’s in the cherry blossom scent, which is my favourite. I’ve been wanting to try the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation for a while as well, so I picked it up recently, and I’ve already tried it out. I’ll be posting a ‘First impressions’ post on it soon. I love the Essence Shine Last & Go! nail polishes and picked up two more shades; 06 Frosted Kiss and 60 Crazy in Love.

When I went grocery shopping today and saw that Essence had a new limited edition collection called Crystal Dreams, and I decided to pick up two products from the collection; the Crystal Dreams luminizer (shade: 01 Frozen Shine) and the Crystal Dreams highlighter (shade: 01 Love at First Light). All the products in the collection seems to be glowy and iridescent, so I’m excited to try these out.

All purple

Here’s the make-up I wore Saturday February 29. It’s the first look I’ve created using the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust palette. I did have to pull in another purple shade from a different Jeffree Star palette, but I still love how the look turned out.

Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette

Oh my god! When I first saw the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Blood Lust palette I think my heart skipped a beat. Purple has been my favourite colour for as long as I can remember, so I was instantly very intrigued by this palette. The eyeshadow shades are stunning, and the quality of the shades I’ve used so far is the same as the other Jeffree Star palettes; fantastic! The packaging of the palette is so luxurious and so beautiful. You can expect to see lots of eye looks created with this palette from now on.

Glossy red

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I hadn’t worn lipgloss in over a year (I love my matte lipsticks), but I felt like making this red lip glossy, and I have to say that I quite like the look.

Monochromatic prettiness

DSC_9826DSC_9824

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. Last year was all about green and blue eyeshadow looks for me, but this year I think reds and purples might be having their moment. Especially in the style of monochromatic make-up looks.

(Base: primers – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base (shade: Radiant Yellow), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Maybelline City Bronzer in 100 Light Cool, blusher – MAC Desert Rose powder blush, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Double Gleam. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Essence eyeshadow in 05 Granny Pants + Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (shades: Buns + Enlight) + Huda Beauty Ruby Obsessions palette (shades: 1. and 2. shade 2. row), mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Marc Jacobs Highliner Glam Glitter gel eye crayon in Glam Jam. 5 favourites – February

For the first time ever since I started my ‘5 favourites’-series in 2014, I forgot to make the post on the last day of the month. So even though it says that this post was publiced on February 29, I actually made it on March 1. I guess that’s what happens when it’s leap year (or maybe that’s just a bad excuse). Anyways, here are my 5 favourites from February.

Sorte støvler m. firkantede snuder - Topshop

Black block heel boots: I’d been without a pair of black ankle boots with a block heel for quite a while, but then I bought these Topshop ones, and I quickly found out how much I’d missed having a pair of all black ankle boots like these. They go with everything, and they’re really comfortable.

Sort bæltetaske - H&M

Black belt bag: I was in desperate need of a new everyday belt bag, because my old leather one was fallen apart, and this one from H&M is a really nice alternative.

DSC_9585

Silver pinky ring: I’ve been adding a few new rings to my collection of everyday go-to rings, and this little hexagon pinky ring from Asos is one of them. It’s really simple and cute, and it pairs well with my other rings.

DSC_9445

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish (shade: Double Gleam): This is not only the most detailed and beautiful powder from MAC, the shade is also stunning, and I’ve worn it so much this past month. I’m really trying not to ruin the beautiful dragon design.

Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 (film): I thought I had watched this before, but I really don’t think I had. If I had I would have remembered stuff from this film. Anyways, I was very pleasantly surprised by how great it was; I had watched the first two films a few nights earlier, and I think this one was better than the second one (it’s hard to compete with the original).

Small Beauty Bay haul

DSC_9838

I’m almost out of my Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in Redrum, which is my favourite lipstick, and it’s finally back in stock on Beauty Bay, so I had to get a back up. While I was on the website, I picked up I few other bits. I love the L.A. Girl Shockwave Neon eyeliners, and I didn’t have the shade Electric, so I picked it up. I also love the Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeshadow palettes, and I found that there was new ones, so I picked op two of them; V. I. Purple and Stop Playing Safe. In the pictures underneath you can see close ups of the palettes. They’re so pretty. Lastly, I picked up a crease brush from Wet n Wild as well just to try it out.

More spring colour vibes
