Khaki green lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I had a lot of fun creating a make-up look to match my jumper. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to wear this awesome khaki green lipstick again.

MAC Black Friday haul

It’s finally time to share my first Black Friday haul with you; I’m a little behind, I know:) Let’s start off with MAC.

I’ve never tried the Powder Kiss lipsticks before, so I decided to purchase the Showstopper Powder Kiss lipstick x 5 kit from the 2020 holiday collection. I still haven’t tried them out, but I like the look of them.

I got two lipglasses; one from the 2020 holiday collection called Break The Ice, and one from the 2019 holiday collection called Star Memoir. I’m wearing lipgloss more and more often these days, and these two are just so pretty.

I use Fix+ everything single time I wear make-up, and I love trying new versions and scents of the finishing spray. The Magic Radiance one is a back-up, because I already use and love that one. I haven’t tried the matte version before, so I’m really excited to do so. And I also added two more Fix+ from the Vibes collection (Calm and Play) to my Fix+ collection.

Now on to a little mix of different items, I also picked up in the Black Friday sale. I love the Glow Play blushes. They’re some of my favourites, so I picked up another shade called Totally Synced. Then I also picked up the Nylon eyeshadow (my favourite inner corner and brow bone highlight shade) in pot form, so it’s easy for me to take it with my when travelling. The lip pencil is in the shade Nightingale which is a beautiful berry shade, and the brush is the 221S Mini Tapered Blending brush.

Lastly, I wanted to show you the free gifts I received with my orders. First off, I got the Mischief Minx eye palette. As you can see it’s a bronzy, neutral palette, which is not the kind of palette I often go for, but I’m excited to compare the formula of the eyeshadows to MAC’s single eyeshadows.

I really can’t believe that I got three Extra Dimension Foil eyeshadows from the 2020 holiday collection for free! I thought about purchasing the middle shade when the collection launched, and now I’m glad I didn’t. The shades I picked are (from left to right) Firewerk The Room, Cooler Than Being Cool, and Explosive Chemistry. I’ve already worn Cooler Than Being Cool and Explosive Chemistry (see here), and they’re super pretty.

Matte eyes, glossy lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I went for a completely matte eye look (apart from the inner corner and brow bone highlight), which doesn’t happen very often. I paired it with a glossy lip which is something I started to get more into in 2020.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Prism powder blush, highlighter – Milani Strobe Light Instant Glow Powder (shade: Afterglow). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette (shades: Momentum + Crash) + Jeffree Star Jawbreaker palette (shade: Gum Drop) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – MAC Studio Chromagraphic pencil in NC15/NW20. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: MAC A La Plage lipstick)

Glitter and gloss

Here’s the make-up I wore with my NYE outfit. I decided to wear pink and purple on my eyes to match the hat and the tights and wore a nude lip to keep the focus on the eyes. A nude lip is also very practical when eating lots of delicious food.

(Base: primers –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer + MAC Strobe Cream (shade: Pinklite), foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC You’ve Got Me Feeling powder blush, highlighter – MAC Flashing Ice Extra Dimension Skinfinish Trio: Light (shade: Glitzed Out). Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – BH Cosmetics Naughty shadow palette (shades: Meringue + Suga’ Plum + Candied Fruit) + MAC Extra Dimension foil eyeshadows (shades: Explosive Chemistry + Cooler Than Being Cool), mascara – L’Oréal Air Volume Mega mascara, eyeliner – MAC Dual Powerprint eye pencil (shade: Short Fuse). Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Matte Long Wear lipstick in Sugar Cookie + Essence Glitter Lip Topper)

5 favourites – December

It’s (finally) the last day of the strangest year of my life (and probably everyone else’s lives too), and sadly it’ll still take a while before everything goes back to “normal”. However, many good things happended to me in 2020 as well, so the year wasn’t all bad. New Year’s Eve is not my favourite night, but this year I’m actually looking forward to spend time with my family, eat good food, and dress up. But before we jump into the new year, let’s say goodbye to the old one and to the month of December, which was actually a great month, with some favourites.

Red and white christmassy gloves: December has been a cold month, so gloves have been a necessity, and I’ve been wearing these festive gloves almost every day. They’re super soft and super warm.

Golden Christmas charm bracelet: One of my favourite pieces of Christmas jewellery this year has been this charm bracelet from H&M. I’ve mostly worn golden jewellery in December, so this bracelet came in very handy. It’s just so cute and festive.

BH Cosmetics Naughty shadow palette: I’ve discovered many amazing eyeshadow palettes in 2020, and this one from BH Cosmetics has to be one of my favourites. It might be a Christmas themed palette, but I’m going to continue to use this all year round.

Jeffree Star Velvet Trap lipstick (shade: The Perfect Red): Jeffree Star Cosmetics has some of the best red lipsticks in my opinion. The Velour liquid lipstick in Redrum has been my favourite lipstick for years, but this one is up there with my favourites. It really is the perfect red as the name suggests, and I love the formula too.

Green Book (film): I’d been wanting to watch this film ever since it released, and I finally got to do so in December, and it was even better than I thought it would be. This is a must watch film, and I’m sure it’s going to become a classic.

Back to purple

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. It’s been quite a while since the last time I posted a purple eye look do to all the christmassy make-up looks I’ve been posting lately, and this is such a pretty purple look. I think it looks really nice paired with a soft peach lip.

(Base: primer –  e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer, foundation – Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade: 110 Porcelain), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Jeffree Star Magic Star Setting Powder in Fair. Face make-up: bronzer – Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r – Instant Warmth bronzer (shade: Inda Sun), blusher – MAC Glow Play blush in Grand, highlighter – Ofra Cosmetics x Nikkietutorials Glazed Donut highlighter. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blood Lust palette (shades: Your Majesty + Deviant) + Jeffree Star Mini Breaker palette (shade: Bite Me) + Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde eyeshadow palette (shade: Ultraviolet) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascaras – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara + L.A. Girl Volumatic mascara (shade: Purple), eyeliner – NYX Slim eye pencil in Lavender Shimmer. Eyebrows: Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Essence Ho Ho Home for X-mas

I usually dont’ buy beauty advent calendars, but I thought this one from Essence looked really cute, so I decided to treat myself. Some of the products inside are very cute, and I’ll definitely use them, and other’s are more gimmicky I guess, but the calender as a whole is fun and cute.

Here are the first six items from the calendar: Mini Matt Fixing powder, mini lipsticks (01 Feel The Magic! and 02 Spread The Love!), mini eyebrow tweezer, nail stickers, gift tags, and eyeshadow brush. I love the packaging on all the items; it’s super festive and cute. Of the these items, I’ve used some of the nail stickers and the eyeshadow brush. I’m also excited to try the fixing powder and the lipsticks.

The next six items were a kajal pencil, nourishing hand cream, mini metallic nail polish, I Heart Extreme volume mascara, charm bracelet, and colour changing lip balm. I’ve worn the metallic nail polish and the lip balm, and I really like both.

The second to last six items were the following: Face jewels, glitter duo sharpener, mini high gloss top coat, eyebrow styler, hair ties, and glitter lip topper. These items are not that exciting to me apart from the glitter lip topper and maybe the high gloss top coat.

And here are the last six items from the calendar: Make up remover towel, mini nail polish, notebook, mini highlighter stick, body jewellery tattoos, and mini highlighter brush. I’m excited to try the make up remover towel, and the nail polish looks pretty too.

If Essence makes a calendar again next year, I might consider getting it. Not all items are usuable for me, but I loved opening it every day in December, and the items sure are cute and festive.

Two days in a row

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. For once I decided to wear a cool-toned grey/silver eye look instead of green or gold or blue or red, which are the colours I’ve worn on my eyes in December. And I usually don’t wear the same lipstick two days in a row, but I just love the shade and formula of this Too Face Melted Matte liquid lipstick.

Healthy Glow Primer Oil in 01 Violet It Bloom, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealer – L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Ethereal Edit palette (shade: Ethereal Light) + Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed powder (shade: 001 Transparent). Bronzer – Milani Silky Matte Bronzing powder in Sun Light, blusher – MAC Desert Rose powder blush, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Let It Glow.
