Here’s how I wore my hair Thursday April 14 (and a sneak peak of my outfit and make-up from that day). I felt inspired by the 90’s, and I think it’s a fun way to jazz up an outfit.

Here’s what I wore Monday March 7. These pictures were taken two days after I got my hair cut, and it’s the shortest my hair has been since I was in my early teens. I know it’s not short at all, but I’m used to having really long hair, so I’m just now starting to get used to it (it has obviously grown a little bit since I got it cut). I guess I have to get my hair cut more often, so it won’t be too big of a change.
(Jeans + bomber – Monki, top – H&M, sneakers – Nike)
Here’s the hair and make-up I wore with this outfit. I think my diagonal Dutch braid turned out quite nice; at least it was very nice to have my hair out of the way in the hot summer weather.
(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Collection (shades: Milk Chocolate + Amaretto + Cherry Cordial + Marzipan) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade on browbone, mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Glitter eyeliner in Malt Chocolate. Lips: Moisture Renew Universal Transparent Lipliner in 001 Universal + MAC Oxblood lipstick & lipglass)
Here’s the hair and make-up I wore with this outfit. I was really happy with this look. I’m wearing the beautiful earrings my sister made for me for Christmas last year, and of course my beloved stegosaurus necklace.

May has come to an end, and the first month of summer starts tomorrow, also known as the month of exams (at least in my case) or simply June. Even though I’m not looking forward to my exams, I’m at least going to study in some nice and improved surroundings. I didn’t move, but it feels a bit like it; I got a new kitchen this week, moved some stuff around and I’m getting rid of some stuff that made my place look and feel crouded. I even got myself a little vanity type space. Anyhow, before we jump into June, here’s some of my favourite things from the month of May.
MAC lipstick in Steam Heat: I almost didn’t buy this lipstick, because I’m trying to save some money for my summer holiday, but I couldn’t resist the pretty packaging. Luckily, not only the packaging is pretty, so is the actual lipstick. It’s such a gorgeous red shade, and I’ve been wearing it a lot this past month.
Tangle Teezer: My hair brush broke a while back, so my mum told me to get a Tangle Teezer. I’d obviously heard about them before and that they’re supposed to be really good, so I tried my mum’s, and I’ve never brushed out my hair so easily before. If you have difficulties brushing out your hair, and you don’t already own one of these, go get one!
Stegosaurus necklace: This is actual not only a monthly favourite; this is my absolute favourite necklace. My mum bought the pendant for me at the American Museum of Natural History in New York in October 2013, and then I went and bought a necklace for it. This has been one of my most worn necklaces ever since I got it, and this past month I haven’t worn many other necklaces.
Pride and Prejudice (TV mini-series): When I was ill earlier this month I watched the whole Pride and Prejudice BBC mini-series in one day. It wasn’t my first time watching it, and even though I find some of the scenes a bit lengthy, I still enjoyed it a lot. I just think it’s a lovely story. Btw, I definitely prefer this mini-series over the film with Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Bennet.
Heroes – Måns Zelmerlöw: First of all, I have to mention that I’m a huge Eurovision Song Contest fan, and even though Denmark didn’t make it through to the finals this year, I still enjoyed watching both semi-finals and of course the big final. Second of all, I know people are saying that the Scandinavian countries are always voting for each other, but this year Sweden just had the best song, so I had to vote for them:) Måns Zelmerlöw performed this amazing song to perfection, and if you haven’t watched his performance already, you can watch right here.
I tried out this new braided hairstyle about a month ago and I love it. It’s very similar to this hairstyle that I love to do, it’s just braided instead of twisted. It’s a really easy hairstyle to do, and if you don’t know how to French braid, you can always go with the twisted version.
I can’t believe that the first month of 2015 is over by tomorrow. It was a tough month with exams, and this week uni started again, but it was a good month as well. I just occured to me that I’ve been doing these 5 favourites posts for a whole year now, and I’m definitely going to continue doing them. So without further ado, here’s my first favourites of 2015.
Maybelline Color Tattoo Gel-Cream Eyeshadow (colour: 35-On and on Bronze): I’m so glad that this Color Tattoo finally came to Denmark, because it’s gorgeous. It looks beautiful on its own, but it’s also a perfect base for bronze/gold/brown eye shadow looks.
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer (colour: 02 Fair Matte): This bronzer is the perfect matte bronzer for fair skin. Especially for everyday use where you might not want a too heavily bronzed face. I would definitely recommend this stunning product.
Pernille Corydon gold leaf earrings: I’ve been wearing a lot of gold jewellery this month (to match my go-to eye make-up) and these earrings that I got for Christmas has been my favourites. I love how simple and pretty they are, and I’ve worn them so much.
Turbie Twist: I didn’t learn about the existence of the Turbie Twist until last Autumn, but I was definitely intrigued. Luckily, I got a two-pack on my gift advent calendar, and I think they’re genius. If any of you haven’t heard of the Turbie Twist, it’s a super-absorbent hair towel. I find it very lightweight and perfect if you don’t have a lot of time to wait for your hair to dry.
Kongens Have – TopGunn: I have a very different favourite song this month. I don’t listen to a lot of Danish music and especially not hip hop and dancehall. The reason I got to listen to this particular song was because the Danish rapper and producer Topgunn was to be one of the judges on Denmark’s Got Talent. I knew him by name, but I wasn’t very familiar with his music, so I went on to Youtube and listened to a bunch of his songs, and the only one that caught my attention (and which I did recognise) was Kongens Have. I find it quite different from his other songs which I’m not very fond of, but there’s something about this one that made me listen to it over and over again this past month. I think it’s the melody and I like the use of e.g. brass instruments.
