Colourpop news + 20% off haul (October 2024)

I have a collective Colourpop haul to share with you today. It includes products from a couple of new at the time collections plus some products I got 20% off.

I love a Christmas themed make-up collection, and the Colourpop x Frosty the Snowman collection is just so cute. I picked up the entire collection bundle.

The Frosty the Snowman palette has a very pretty, icy, cool-toned colour story, which is a bit different from a more traditional Christmas colour story, and I like that. I wore the palette and some of the other products from the collection here.

I really enjoy the Jelly Much eyeshadows from Colourpop, and the Frosty the Snowman collection included the Snow Days! Jelly Much eyeshadow duo in Freezin’ and Made Of Snow, which are a pastel blue shade and a pastel lilac pink shade.

The Super Shock highlighter is one of my favourite products from Colourpop, so I was probably most excited about the Fastest Belly-Whopper Super Shock highlighter kit from this collection. The shades are called Winter Wonder and Icicle Spree, and they’re so pretty!

Moving on to lips, this is the Chill Out! So Juicy plumping gloss balm set in Frozen, All Melted, and Feeling Like Frosty.

And these are the Snow Much Fun! Lux lipstick kit including Magic Hat Lippie pencil and Silly Snowman Lux lipstick and the Happy Jolly Fun! Lux lipstick kit including Over The Hills lippie pencil and First Snow Lux lipstick. I like all of the lip products, but the Lippie pencils are my favourites.

The collection also included the Welcome to the North Pole lip care set, which comes with the Northbound lip mask and the Have A Parade lip scrub, which are both candy cane scented.

And the last item in the Frosty the Snowman collection was the Everyone’s Favorite Snowman makeup sponge. So cute!

Now, let’s move on to the other two items that was new-ish at the time and therefore wasn’t on sale. I loved Bratz growing up, so I picked up the Bratz Girls Nite Out palette and the Bratz Jade Lippie kit from the Bratz collection.

The colour story of this palette is dark and cool-toned, and I actually think it would pair quite well with the Frosty the Snowman palette.

The Bratz Jade Lippie kit included a Lippie pencil and a Lippie Stix in the shade Koolkat.

I got the rest of the products in this haul 20% off. I’d been thinking about getting the Haunted Mansion Welcome Foolish Mortals palette ever since it launched for the first time around Halloween in 2023, so when it was back in stock and 20% off I had to add it to my cart. It’s another cool-toned palette that would pair well with the Frosty the Snowman palette and the Bratz Girls Nite Out palette.

The last palette in this haul is the After Hours palette, and guess what, it’s another cool-toned palette. I guess I was into buying cool-toned palettes at the time.

The Winx Club palette was actually one of my first Colourpop purchases ever, and when they rereleased the collection last year, they added some more products including the Winx Club Super Shock highlighter in Magix Gem. I don’t prefer this packaging but the highlighter itself is beautiful.

The Colourpop BBF crème gel liners are some of my favourite eyeliners, so I picked up some more shades (from left to right): Aglow (back-up), Amethyst Hour, Joy Ride, and Charmer.

The last three products I picked up was the liquid blush in She’s Cute, the So Juicy plumping glossy lip oil in Beverly Drive, and the Power Pout lipstick in Party Hour. I just wanted to try these formulas out.

Matas haul (October 2024)

I have a Matas haul to share with you today. It includes mostly affordable make-up.

The only high end product in this haul is the Fenty Beauty Trace’d Out lip liner in Coal Blooded 09. This is a very unique shade of lip liner; it’s a very dark almost black brown shade. The only thing I got from the NYX Beetlejuice collaboration was the Sandstorm Swirl Butter Gloss in 04. I also picked up the Rimmel Kind & Free Lash Loader mascara in 002 Brown Black. I’ve been using this mascara lately, and I’ve found that I prefer the original Rimmel Kind & Free mascara in the same shade.

From e.l.f. Cosmetics I got the Brow Lift in Clear, which is the best dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze in my opinion. I also finally purchased the e.l.f. Cosmetics Soft Glam satin foundation in 13 Fair Neutral, and I really like it.

The rest of the products in this haul are from Essence. I picked up the Essence Flawless Skin Trio loose setting powder in 10, the Essence Juicy Melon tinted lip & cheek balm, and the Essence Baby Got Holo highlighter stick in 10 Holy Apricotly. The powder indludes three shades (pink, lilac, and peach) that you can wear individually or swirl together, which is quite neat. I wasn’t aware of the fact the the blush was one of those jelly pH-reacting products, so I don’t know how I’m going to feel about, since they’re not my favourite kind of products. The highlighter is not bad. The shade is quite fun.

The last three products I got are all from the Essence In The Bloom’light collection. I bought the blushlighter in 01 Made Of Stardust, matte lip liner in 01 Live In Full Bloom, and the satin lipstick in 01 Kisses At Midnight. I think my favourite of the three is the blushlighter.

Collective haul (October 2024)

I have a collective haul to share with you today. It includes mostly make-up, but also some accessories, clothes, and a pair of shoes.

For once I only picked up two products from the MAC holiday 2024 collection. The collection is called Gift Of Gold, and I was very excited to see MAC launch a new type of blush. I got the Skinfinish Metallic cream blush in the shade Priceless Purple, which is such a fun shade. I also bought one of the frost lipsticks in the shade Regal Red, which is a great Christmas lipstick shade.

I received a Holiday Gift bag and a Macximal silky matte lipstick in Whirl with my MAC order.

Ever since I saw the Dior Forever liquid sequin liquid lipsticks launch around Christmas time in 2023, I’d been wanting to try one, but they sold out so quickly. So I was so excited to see them come back for the holidays in 2024, and I picked up the red shade in 999.

Of course I had to pick up the Natasha Denona Roxa palette. I love Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow formulas, and purple is my favourite colour, so this was a no-brainer purchase for me.

I also bought three indie palettes from Monolith. The first one is the Ensley Reign Cosmetics Underland palette. It has this dark and moody colour story, which is fun and different.

The Vamp palette from Bellabeautébar was their Halloween release for 2024, and it was not the only Halloween palette release with a purple and red colour story, and I’m not mad about it. Purple and red is actually a bit of an underrated colour story.

This is the Harvest of Souls palette from Fantasy Cosmetica, and it’s the biggest palette that they’ve released to date. It’s absolutely stunning. Just look at that colour story.

I love Cosmic Brushes, and for Halloween 2024 they launched their first mystery box. The box includes a palette, three cream blushes, and three lipsticks. If you haven’t bought it, but is planning to do so, here’s your spoiler alert.

The Sinister palette is another palette with a purple and red colour story, which is really fun and inspiring.

The cream blushes from Cosmic Brushes are called Blush Butter and come in three fun shades in this box (from left to right); Got Chills, Dazed, and Heroine.

The three lipsticks are the Velvet matte lipsticks in the shades Salem, Nancy, and Clarice. Very interesting shades, and I like the formula.

I picked up three bow accessories; two brooches from Maanesten (the style is called Memoru) and a leopard print hair clip from Accessorize.

I’ve mentioned before that I love pink and red together, and that was apparently very obvious back in October, when I purchased a floral dress from Asos Design, a stripy dress from Monki, and an oversized T-shirt from JJXX in that colour combo.

Lastly, I found these purple suede boots from Tamaris 60% off in a department store, and I thought they were a great pair of comfy, colourful boots that would go with a lot of different looks.

Monolith haul (September 2024)

I have a Monolith haul to share with you today. This haul includes both eyeshadow palettes, cheek products, and lip products. Let’s begin with the palettes.

I was unsure about whether to get the Bellabeautébar Poison Garden palette or not, but I’m really glad I decided to get it. This colour story is dark and unique and very beautiful.

I love Fantasy Cosmetica’s eyeshadows, so I’ll probably pick up most palettes that they release. This is the Enchanted Autumn palette made in collaboration with Makeup Just For Fun, and the colour story is dark and autumnal (as the name of the palette suggests). I really liked the look I created with it.

I think this little collection from Adebt Cosmetics is so pretty. The eyeshadow palette is called Unity and the blush palette is called Duality. I love that the Adebt Cosmetics eyeshadow palettes are shimmer heavy, and the blushes are beautiful.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned it before, but Unearthly Cosmetics is another one of my favourite brands, when it comes to eyeshadows, and the Gargoyle palette is right up my alley. I love blues, purples, and greens, and I love them together in the same palette.

And speaking of Unearthly Cosmetics and colour stories right up my alley, the Night Terror palette from the Night Terror collection box is so stunning. The collection also included a liquid highlight in the shade Bizarre and a lipgloss in the shade Dread.

These were my first ever purchases from Kaleidos, which is a brand I’d been wanting to try for a while. The Escape Pod palette was definitely on my wishlist, and it’s very beautiful. I also wanted to try the Untamed Glow glossy lip glaze in Freefall, which is a grey-silver shimmery gloss, which is very unique and very pretty. I really like the component too.

I was so excited to see Singe Beauty releasing colour cosmetics. These are the Evocative Silk Blushes and I picked up three of the four shades. They’re called (from left ot right) Riveting Rhubarb, Persistent Persimmon, and Timid Tomato. It’s a very lovely glowy, but not glittery formula, and the shades are so nice as well.

For the first time I received a gift with my Monolith order. I got the Blend Bunny Cosmetics Omni Lash lash perfecting mascara, which is the black mascara I’m using at the moment. It’s not my favourite mascara I’ve ever tried, but I don’t hate it either.

Beauty Bay haul (September 2024)

I have a Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. I picked up a bunch of cheek and lip products. Let’s begin with the cheek products.

I picked up one powder highlighter and two powder blush products. I thought the Glisten Cosmetics X Teletubbies Tubby Custard highlighter was such a pretty pink/blue shifty shade. I really like the NYX Buttermelt blushes, and I was excited to finally find the purple shade called 12 All The Butta in stock. And from Made By Mitchell I got the Mini Blursh Book in Atlas of Anatomy, which has some pretty interesting blush colours.

Speaking of Made By Mitchell, I bought two more shades of the Blursh Lights liquid highlighters; Ice Ice BB and Clear As Day. I really enjoy this liquid highlighter formula. I also got another shade of the Glisten Cosmetics Blooming Blushes. It’s a fun orange shade called Orange You Glad?.

Lastly, I purchased two lip products; the Maybelline Lifter Liner in the shade Peaking and the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane. I featured the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in my December 5 favourites post.

Monolith “end of summer” sale haul (September 2024)

Monolith had an “end of summer” sale in September, so I purchased seven pretty palettes.

I own a lot of Ensley Reign Cosmetics palettes, but I didn’t have the Cosmic Dreamer palette neither the Twisted Tea Party palette. At first glance, these palettes might look like they have a lot of similarities, but they are actually quite different.

I love this long, skinny style of palette from Gourmande Girls Cosmetics, and the Haunted palette was missing from my collection, so I had to pick it up in the sale. This is actually the palette I ended up wearing on Halloween last year.

I’d been eyeing the Lunar Beauty Strawberry Dream palette for a while, and it really is such a pretty palette.

I’d never tried Sydney Grace eyeshadows before, so I decided to get the Tiny Marvels palette by Mel Thompson and the Heaven on Earth palette in the “Light” version. I really liked the looks I created with these palettes.

Lastly, I got the Get Stonned Stonned 10 pan palette, which is an all shimmer palette. The shades I’ve used so far are beautiful.

Collective haul (September 2024)

I have a collective haul to share with you today. It includes clothes, accessories, shoes, and make-up.

The only piece of clothing that I picked up (other than a couple of pairs of tights) was this snake print blazer from H&M that I got on sale. Even though I don’t wear a lot of neutral clothes, I do like animal print, because I think most animal prints look great paired with colour.

My obsession with big flower brooches/pins continues. These two from H&M comes with a tie, so they can be worn around the neck or as a belt as well.

I used to love berets and I hadn’t bought a new one in a while, but I just loved this green colour. It’s from Sui Ava, and I got it on sale.

I also still love coloured tights, and Calzedonia is still one of my favourite brands when it comes to tights, so I was very ecited to see these new colours.

I have two pairs of purple shoes to show you. These boots are from the brand Alma en Pena, and I got them on sale from Zalando. How pretty is that heel?!

And it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that I bought a pair of purple Nike Cortez sneakers. Ever since I first saw that a purple pair of Cortez sneakers would be coming, I knew I had to have them.

Now let’s move on to a few make-up bits. Cosmic Brushes (or Cosmic Beauty) is one of my favourite brands when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, and the Undergrowth palette just has the most stunning murky, grungy green colour story.

Lastly, I purchased some new MAC lip products. I picked up one of the new Glow Play Tendertalk lip balms in the shade Vibe. I have three of the original Glow Play lip balms, but I never really got into them, but this new one I love. I don’t if the formula is different or maybe it’s just the colour, but I love this lilac tinted lip balm; it’s really comfortable, and the colour is so pretty. I also bought three of the newly formulated Macximal sleek satin lipsticks. I got the shades Call It Cozy, Pink Peppermint, and Tilted Denim. I’ve always liked the satin lipstick finish from MAC, and these new ones are lovely. The colours are fun too.

5 favourites – January

The first month of the new year has already come to an end, and it was a pretty good month overall. At least I’m still optimistic about 2025. Most of my January favourites are beauty related, but that seem to happen a lot.

Dark purple corduroy trousers (Monki): I purchased this pair of corduroys back in July 2022, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I obviously couldn’t fit them then, and I’d almost forgotten about them, until I pulled them out earlier this month. They reminded me of how much I love corduroy trousers plus the colour is delicious.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Powder Filter pressed powder (shade: Fair Neutral Cool): The e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder in Light is my favourite loose powder, so I purchased the new pressed version, as soon as I saw it online. I don’t know if I love it as much as the loose version yet, but I sure have enjoyed using it.

Whats Up Beauty Cheeque Terre bronzer (shade: 10 Light): I don’t see indie brands releasing bronzers very often, but Whats Up Beauty recently did, and I love it. The undertone of this bronzer is so pretty (maybe it’s the lilac running through the powder), and it’s not too pigmented, but it’s buildable.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip dewy setting spray: e.l.f. Cosmetics really is one of my favourite more affordable brands, and I love the Power Grip primer, so I was excited to try the Power Grip dewy setting spray. The mist is so fine that you barely feel it on the skin, but my make-up has been looking really good lately, also later on in the day, and I think this setting spray could partly have something to do with it.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Peppermint: In last month’s 5 favourites post, I featured the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane, and this month I had to shout out the Lip Sleeping Mask in Peppermint. I love everything candy cane or peppermint scented, and I love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I’ve worn this lip mask every night since the middle of December.

Monolith haul (August 2024)

I have a Monolith haul to share with you today. This is one of my “smaller” Monolith hauls consisting of six beautiful eyeshadow palettes and one stunning highlighter palette.

The Ensley Reign Cosmetics Flourish and Flutter palettes are oh so pretty. These colour stories are so fun, and the Ensley Reign Cosmetics eyeshadow quality is incredible.

I got three palettes from Simply Posh Cosmetics. I really like the way they organise their palettes with a row of lighter mattes, a row of special shimmers, and a row of deeper mattes. This is the Coastal palette, which is one of their more neutral palettes, but it’s interesting neutrals with some pops of colour.

The Aurora Lights palette was very high on my wishlist for so long, because this colour story has my name written all over it. I think this is my favourite Simply Posh palette I’ve tried so far.

The Citrus Punch palette from Simply Posh Cosmetics is summer in a palette. It’s just so vibrant and fun!

And lastly, I picked up the Bellabeautébar Oracle Chrome highlighter palette, which had also been on my radar for quite a while. If you like intense, colourful, shifty highlighters, this palette is for you.

Collective beauty haul (August 2024)

I have a collective beauty haul to share with you today. About half of the products were on sale. Let’s talk about those first.

I had a bit of an obsession with collecting all of the Sol de Janeiro Cheriosa perfume mists in 2024. This is number 48 (90 ml), which I think used to be the limited edition scent called Bikini Season. It has notes of guava nectar, sunlit orchid, and pink musk, and it smells very nice.

The KVD Beauty Dazzle Sticks are probably my favourite shadow sticks, and when they release new shades, I have to pick them up. These two newest shades are called Tornado Haze 70 and Dusk Rush 80. And I loved the Fenty Beauty Demi’ Glow light-diffusing highlighter in Pretty Purlz 01 so much that I had to pick up the pink shade called Tutu Much 03.

From NYX I purchased three more shades of the Buttermelt blushes; 04 U Know Butta, 05 Had Butta, and 06 For The Butta. I also got one of the newer shades of the Fat Oil Lip Drips and it’s called 13 Losin’ Cone-trol.

I love that rom&nd has become more widely available in Europe. I bought the Juicy Lasting Tint in 06 Figfig and two of the Dewy-Ful Water Tints in 07 Cherry Way and 10 Murmur Pink.

Lastly, I picked up some things from two Catrice summer collections. From the Summer Obsessed collection I got the bronzing cushion stick in C01 Sun Of Rhodos, the cooling lip oil in C03 They See Me Aperollin’, and the glowy face palette in C01 Seaside Glow. Sadly, the only product I liked from this collection was the lip oil. The packaging of the bronzer was horrible to use and the shades in the face palette barely showed up on the skin, so I’ve already decluttered those to products.

From the Catrice Poolside of Life collection I got the waterproff eyeliner in C01 Lime Crush, which I actually haven’t tried yet, and the three nail lacquers in C01 Sundowner, C02 Deep Dive, and C03 Purple Skies, which are all pretty, shifty shades.

And very lastly, I got the Make Up Store metallic liquid lipstick in Queen as a free gift with purchase.
