5 favourites – May

It’s the last day of spring (calendar-wise), and I’m so excited about the warmer weather we’ve been having lately. June will be my last month on maternity leave, however, in July I’m taking vacation time, and then I’m going back to work in August (or July 31 to be exact). I’ll try to really enjoy the rest of my maternity leave and the summer. But first, let’s talk about some favourites from the month of May, which are all make-up products.

Missha M Perfect Cover B.B Cream Spf 42 (shade: 21 Light Beige): When you first apply this product, it looks almost grey, but as you blend it out, they grey undetone disappears, and it just looks beautiful on the skin. It has great coverage as well.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Brightening Flawless Finish powder (shade: Fair/Medium): The original Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish powder is one of my absolute favourite powders, so I was very excited to try the brigthening version. It’s definitely brightening, and it looks beautiful on the undereye area.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Brow Lift: The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze is my all time favourite brow gel, but this one from e.l.f. Cosmetics is a very good alternative. They look and feel quite similar. The only difference I’ve found is that the ABH Brow Freeze keeps the hold longer, but I still really enjoy the e.l.f. Cosmetics version (which is also a lot more affordable).

Colourpop Super Shock cheeks: These are a new obsession of mine. I’ve completely fallen in love with the Super Shock cheek formulas. I love both the bronzer and blushes as well as the highlighters. I’ve worn all the colours you see in the picture plus more throughout May.

Hydrating lip tints/lip stains: I decided to put these two products as one favourite, because they’re similar in multiple ways. I’ve been loving these hydrating liquid lip products which tint the lips and leave a stain. The Rare Beauty Soft Pinch tinted lip oils are very liquidy and thin, whereas the Fenty Beauty Poutsicle hydrating lip stains are a little thicker in texture. Both products are stunning on the lips and so comfortable.

Collective haul – clothes + shoes (February 2023)

It’s time for a collective clothes and shoes haul. These are all items I purchased back in February.

I love an oversized blazer, I love corduroy, and I love pink, so I loved this blazer from Monki, and it was even on sale.

You’ve already seen me wear these red and pink checkered trousers a couple of times (here and here). They’re also from Monki, and I got them 20% off.

It’s always nice to have a selection of joggers in your wardrobe, and I got this wide leg pair from H&M on sale.

You have also seen me wear this dress; I wore it at my daughter’s christening. It’s from Monki.

Here’s another Monki dress, but I haven’t worn this one yet. I love the pattern and all the colours, but it’s not very breastfeeding friendly.

I love coloured tights and picked up a green pair from Monki and three pairs from Calzedonia in navy, purple, and pink.

I got two pairs of Mary Jane style shoes. The purple pair is from Koi Footwear and the orange pair is from Monki. The Monki style I also own in black, white, and pink.

Lastly, I picked up some Coca-Cola Jibbitz for Crocs. So fun, right.

Lookfantastic haul (January-February 2023)

I have a collective Lookfantastic haul to share with you today. This haul consists of products from Natasha Denona, L’Oréal, and MAC.

I was so excited about this lip product launch from Natasha Denona since my go-to lip colour is red. These are the I Need A Rouge Lip Stylettos in Gigi and Emilia and the I Need A Rouge lip crayon in Emilia (I had already picked up the lip crayon in Gigi from Sephora). I absolutely love the formula of both the lipsticks and the lip crayons.

From Natasha Denona I also picked up the Pastel Plexi Glow highlighter and a lash guard, and from L’Oréal I got the Infaillible 24H Fresh Wear Matte bronzer in 250 Light.

Here’s a closer look at the highlighter and the bronzer. The highlighter is a golden champagne colour even though it might look more pastel, and the bronzer is such a nice matte bronzer.

Lastly, I picked up four shades of the MAC Locked Kiss Ink Lipcolours. I wore the dark purple here, and it’s called Sardonic. The yellow orange is called Yes, the pinky red is called Gossip, and the grey is called Stoic. I thought Sardonic was a bit patchy, but I loved the shade Yes. I’m excited to try the other two colours as well.

Asos 20% off + sale haul (January 2023)

I have an Asos haul to share with you today. All of these items were on sale, and there’s a mix of clothes, accessories, and make-up. Let’s begin with clothes.

I love a good sweater vest, and I’d had my eye on this one from Asos Design Men. I love a Disney print, and I think the green and blue looks great together.

You can never go wrong with a colourful T-shirt. This one is from JJXX.

Moving on to accessories. Topshop makes great shoes and great bags, and this multicoloured holographic bag is no exception.

I love a hat even though I don’t wear them all the time. This one from Asos Design, and I have actually already worn it. I wore it here.

This might be a slightly boring purchase, but man, I’ve worn this big black hair clip from Asos Design a lot!

Let’s just talk about all the jewellery pieces at once. I thought the Halloween selection from Asos Design was fun, and they were very heavily discounted. The golden, pearly earrings from SVNX are super pretty, and the little star and moon hoops with amethysts from Kingsley Ryan has come in very handy. The simple braided silver ring is also from Kingsley Ryan.

And now let’s move on to make-up. I picked up another e.l.f. Cosmetics No Budge shadow stick, and this one is in the shade Blue Steel. I’d heard great things about the Revolution Ultra Cream Bronzer, so I picked it up in the shade Light. I’d also heard good things about the Iconic London Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint, however, the shade I picked up, which is Warm Fair, is not a great match for me.

How stunning is this Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Beautifying face palette – Light/ Medium! I’d been wanting it for a while, so I was very happy to get it on sale.

Lastly, I got two lip products from the Valentine’s Day launch from MAC. I picked up the Lady Danger lipstick, which is a shade I’ve always wanted to try, and it is stunning. I also picked up the Glow Play lip balm in Bouncing Bloom.

Collective Cocopanda haul (January 2023)

I have a collective Cocopanda affordable beauty haul to share with you today. The vast majority of the products are from Catrice and NYX. Let’s begin with the Catrice stuff.

I was very excited to try the newest foundation from Catrice. It’s called the Nude Drop Tinted Serum foundation, and I got the shade 004N. So far I really like it. I also picked up the Cheek Lover marbled blush in 010 Dahlia Blossom and two of the Plump It Up Lip Boosters in 030 Illusion Of Perfection and 070 Fake It Till You Make It.

Here’s a closer look at the blush. It’s a super pretty, glowy blush.

And here’s a close up of the Plump It Up Lip Boosters in 030 Illusion Of Perfection and 070 Fake It Till You Make It; such fun shades.

The only product I purchased that is neither Catrice nor NYX is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, which is still my go-to make-up remover.

I got the Catrice Clean ID Transparent brow fixing gel as a free gift with my Catrice order.

Now, let’s move on to the products I purchased from NYX. I got the NYX Bare With Me Blur Tint foundation in the shade 02 Fair, which is actually a little light on me. Then I also picked up three of the Fat Oil Lip Drips and three of the Smooth Whip matte lip creams.

The Fat Oil Lip Drips are in the shades 04 Thats Chic, 05 Newsfeed, and 07 Scrollin. I haven’t worn all the shades yet, but I really like the formula.

The shades of the Smooth Whip matte lip creams are 20 Pom Pom, 19 Snuggle Sesh, and 16 Feelings. I haven’t tried any of these yet, but the colours are so fun.

MAC New Year Shine and winter sales haul

I have a MAC haul to share with you today. It includes a mix of products from the New Year Shine collection and some sale items.

From the New Year Shine collection I picked up the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Beaming Blush, which is a permanent shade, the Glow Play blush in Heat Index, which is also a permanent shade, and the lipstick in Taupe of the List, which I’m pretty sure is a limited edition shade.

Here’s a closer look at the products. I think the shiny, red packaging is beautiful.

I kind of regretted not getting the MAC x Whitney Houston lipglass in Nippy’s Shimmery Cinnamon, so I eventually had to pick it up.

And now on to the winter sale items. I picked up two more products from the Whitney Houston collection. I got the MAC x Whitney Houston Whitney’s Nippy Eye-Conic palette and a back up of the Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Just Whitney. I also purchased the Lustreglass lipstick in Chili Popper.

These last three products were gifts with purchase. The lip pencil is in the shade Dervish, and the lipstick is the Love Me lipstick in Daddy’s Girl. The bag is from the 2022 holiday collection.

Oden’s Eye Jewel Shine single multichrome eyeshadows

In January, Oden’s Eye released their Jewel Shine single eyeshadows. The collection includes 12 multichromes and 30 shimmers. If you purchase all 12 multichromes, you get a discount plus a free 12 colour storage container, so I did just that.

These multichromes are absolutely stunning, and I love how they all look together in the storage container (empty palette). I also love the pan design. The shades are (from left to right, row by row) M001 Lola, M002 Ingrid, M003 Maja, M004 Angela, M005 Isabella, M006 Judy, M007 Noe, M008 Thor, M009 Eden, M010 Dimitri, M011 Marius, and M012 Leon. I’m wearing some of the shades here and here.

Sephora haul (January 2023)

I have a Sephora haul to share with you today. It’s a collective haul including make-up and a few fragrances.

Let’s begin with Natasha Denona. I had to pick up the Mini Pastel palette, because I love ND eyeshadows and I love pastels. This is pretty unique pastel colour story, but all five shades work so well together (see the look I created with the palette here).

I was so excited about the I Need A Rouge lip products from Natasha Denona. The first product I picked up as soon as it came to the Sephora website was the I Need A Rouge lip crayon in Gigi (I’ve since then picked up some more products from the line).

The last Natasha Denona product I picked up was the My Dream lipgloss in the shade Natasha, which was the last product from the My Dream collection I didn’t have. I’d heard so many youtubers talk about how stunning this lipgloss is, and I have to agree. It’s one of the prettiest lipglosses I own. I also purchased one of the Fenty Beauty Poutsicle hydrating lip stains, because I’ve been wanting to try them out for a while. I got the shade Mai Type 01, and I love both the colour and the formula (I’m wearing it here).

Let’s move on to Rare Beauty. I love the Kind Words matte lipsticks and lip liners, so I added another shade to my collection; Gifted. I was also super excited to try the Positive Light Silky Touch highlighter and picked up the shade Enlighten.

Here’s a closer look at the shade Gifted.

Just look at how blinding this highlighter is!

I also purchased a few things from Sephora Collection. I bought the Best Skin Ever foundation in 10 N and the Colourful Luminizer face illuminating powder in 01 Sparkling Honey. I haven’t used the foundation enough to form a proper opinion on it yet, and I haven’t worn the highlighter yet, but it looks pretty.

This highlighter I have worn though, and it’s stunning. It’s the Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Skin highlighter in Lunar Nude, and I got it 30% off.

When Sephora had a 20% off deal on Dior, I purchased a back-up of the Dior Backstage Face & Body Powder-No-Powder in 0 Neutral, which is one of my favourite face powders ever.

Lastly, I bought a couple more Sephora Collection DO NOT DRINK perfumes. I got the Roasted Blend Iris + Mocha in a 30 ml bottle and the Refreshing Blend Mandarin + Matcha in a 10 ml bottle. Both were on sale.

5 favourites – March

March has come to an end, and what an eventful month it was! We moved to a new apartment in a new town in the very beginning of the month (moving is always a little stressful) and last Sunday we celebrated our daughter’s christening; it was such a lovely day. Now, I’m looking forward to a more calm April. We’re going to spend time with my family celebrating Easter, and we’re also going to unpack some more boxes, which will be nice. But first, let’s talk about some March favourites.

Iconic London Underglow blurring primer: I’ve been wanting to try this primer ever since I first saw it, but it kept being sold out everywhere, so when I finally found it in stock and on sale, I ordered it right away. It has a pretty unique texture, but I kind of like it, and I love the subtle glow that it gives the skin.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadow in Nude Honeymoon: I featured this liquid eyeshadow in a recent haul, even though I’ve had it for a little while. It has been my go-to eyeshadow on days where I don’t have that much time to do my make-up. It looks great blended out all over the lid with sparkly eyeshadows on top such as my next favourite.

R.E.M. Beauty Midnight Shadows liquid eyeshadows: I have a R.E.M. Beauty haul coming up, so you haven’t seen these eyeshadows on my blog yet. These liquid eyeshadows are so shimmery, shiny, and pretty; I’m especially loving the shade on the left called Fembot. I’m wearing it on top of the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadow in Nude Honeymoon here.

Beauté Pacifique Enriched Hydrating hand cream: My hands were super dry in the beginning of the month, and this hand cream saved them. It’s not too thick and not too thin, and it sinks into the skin quickly, and it just works.

New make-up storage setup: Before I moved I picked up another set of Alex 9-drawers from Ikea to accommodate my growing make-up collection, and I love this new setup. My make-up table/vanity is to the left next to the plant and right in front of a big window, and it’s the best lighting for make-up I’ve ever had. I just love my new make-up corner!

Beauty Bay haul (January 2023)

I have a collective Beauty Bay haul to share with you today. I made two orders from Beauty Bay in January and thought I would combine them into one haul.

I had to pick up the By BEAUTY BAY Berries 42 colour palette to complete my collection (I have the Midnight and Earthy 42 colour palettes, which I love). It’s a beautiful palette, and I created a look with it here.

I have more By BEAUTY BAY palettes to show you. This is this year’s Valentine’s Day release. It’s called the Retro Love palette, and I think the colour story is very interesting.

The BEAUTY BAY Pastels pressed pigment palette has been on my wishlist for quite a while, and I’m really glad that I finally have it in my collection. I’ve already used it several times; it’s the perfect companion palette.

The By BEAUTY BAY Youtopia pressed pigment palette is the Pastels palette’s brighter younger sister. I haven’t used this one yet, but I’m sure it’ll be a great companion palette as well.

I haven’t tried NABLA eyeshadows before, but there’s something very aesthetically pleasing about the Read My Mind palette, and I’m so excited to try it out.

The last eye product in this haul is the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid Star Shadow in Nude Honeymoon. I already had some other shades of these liquid eyeshadows, so I knew I liked the formula, but this particular shade has been my go-to on days where I need to do a quicker make-up look.

I featured the Sigma Beauty Matte Bronzer in Light in my February favourites post, and I’ve continued to love it and use it. It’s just such a stunning matte powder bronzer.

Too Faced has come out with new Cloud Crush blushes, and I decided to pick up the shade Watermelon Rain, which is a beautiful watermelon pink shade.

Here’s a few things from e.l.f. Cosmetics. I got two of the Glossy lip stains, and they’re in the shades Cinnamon Dreamz and Power Mauves. I also purchased the Monochromatic Multi-Stick in Glistening Peach.

Lastly, I decided to try out one of those pointed powder puffs and picked up a 2 pc of the e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo glow powder puffs. I also featured these in my February favourites which speaks for itself.
