5 favourites – March

March has come to an end, and in Denmark we’ll be starting of April with a couple of beautiful sunny spring days. I’m so ready for warmer weather, so I’m hoping to see more of it throughout the month. All of my March favourites that I’ll be sharing with you today are beauty-related. I tried out two great foundations, fell more in love with a blush formula and a mascara shade, and wore a beautiful nail colour.

Maybelline Superstay Lumi Matte foundation (shade: 96): I’d been wanting to try this foundation ever since it launched, and I’m so glad I finally decided to buy it, because it’s so nice. I’m not into matte foundations, but a lumi matte foundation, I can get behind. It’s a buildable foundation, which I like, and it just looks great on the skin.

Essence foundation stick in (shade: 50): I love to wear a stick foundation on days where I have to get up early to go to work early, and I’ve been really enjoying this one from Essence. It’s quick and easy to apply, and it looks good.

Huda Beauty Liquid Blush Filters (various shades): These might be my favourite liquid blushes in my collection. This formula is so good! I have a bunch of shades, and I’ll probably continue to add more.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High mascara (shade: Burgundy Haze): This is one of my absolute favourite mascara formulas, and I love that it comes in so many shades now. The shade Burgundy Haze has been my favourite though, because it goes with so many different eye looks.

Catrice Gel Affair nail lacquer (shade: 033 You’re The Lime To My Tequila): I’ve noticed that I’ve been loving lime green more and more, and this nail colour is so stunning. It’s pretty much the perfect spring nail colour.

5 favourites – February

The last month of winter has come to an end, and I’m so ready for spring! The weather forecast includes slightly warmer weather next week, which I’m very excited about. Spring is the time for a fresh starts, and I think that is just what I need. But first, let’s say goodbye to winter and talk about some favourites from February (it’s mostly make-up as per usual).

Colourpop Pretty Fresh Set It Up primer: This primer from Colourpop is fairly new, and it’s a great allround primer. It’s described as a gel cream which is a texture I really like, when it comes to primers, and so far it has worked under every foundation I’ve worn with it.

GlossGods Cosmetics That Base! Crease killer eyeshadow base: From a face primer to an eyeshadow primer. I’ve had this eyeshadow primer/base for about 1,5 years, and I’ve liked it, but I’ve worn it more frequently recently. It’s great underneath pastels and bright eyeshadows.

KVD Beauty Dazzle Stick long-wear eyeshadows: I’ve actually loved these shadow sticks ever since they launched, and as you can see I’ve collected them all. I’ve been using them a handful of times this past month on days where I had to leave early for work, because they’re quick and easy to apply with a finger, and they’re super pretty and sparkly and long-wearing, as the name suggests.

Lethal Cosmetics Aura multichrome liners: I’ve tried a few different formulas of multichrome eyeliners, but these ones from Lethal Cosmetics are my favourites so far. The colours are beautiful, and they show up quite well in the waterline, which not all multichrome liners do.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy (film): I love Bridget Jones! Bridget Jones’s Diary (the first film) is one of those films that I can always watch. I actually feel that way about all the films in this series, and even though this last film is not my most favourite from the series, I enjoyed it very much.

5 favourites – January

The first month of the new year has already come to an end, and it was a pretty good month overall. At least I’m still optimistic about 2025. Most of my January favourites are beauty related, but that seem to happen a lot.

Dark purple corduroy trousers (Monki): I purchased this pair of corduroys back in July 2022, when I was pregnant with my daughter. I obviously couldn’t fit them then, and I’d almost forgotten about them, until I pulled them out earlier this month. They reminded me of how much I love corduroy trousers plus the colour is delicious.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow Powder Filter pressed powder (shade: Fair Neutral Cool): The e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder in Light is my favourite loose powder, so I purchased the new pressed version, as soon as I saw it online. I don’t know if I love it as much as the loose version yet, but I sure have enjoyed using it.

Whats Up Beauty Cheeque Terre bronzer (shade: 10 Light): I don’t see indie brands releasing bronzers very often, but Whats Up Beauty recently did, and I love it. The undertone of this bronzer is so pretty (maybe it’s the lilac running through the powder), and it’s not too pigmented, but it’s buildable.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip dewy setting spray: e.l.f. Cosmetics really is one of my favourite more affordable brands, and I love the Power Grip primer, so I was excited to try the Power Grip dewy setting spray. The mist is so fine that you barely feel it on the skin, but my make-up has been looking really good lately, also later on in the day, and I think this setting spray could partly have something to do with it.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Peppermint: In last month’s 5 favourites post, I featured the Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane, and this month I had to shout out the Lip Sleeping Mask in Peppermint. I love everything candy cane or peppermint scented, and I love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I’ve worn this lip mask every night since the middle of December.

5 favourites – December

Happy New Year! 2024 was one of the toughest years of my life, but the year would have been even tougher, if I hadn’t had my amazing little family to help me get through the tough times. Luckily, I feel like things are looking up, and I’m hoping for a much better 2025. But first, let’s say goodbye to 2024 with some December favourites.

R.E.M. Beauty Sweetener foundation (shade: Fair 6 CN): I actually purchased the foundation the first time around the time of the launch, but I got a shade that was too light, so I obviously didn’t really use it. Last month, I decided to pick it up again in a different shade, and I’ve already gotten quite a lot of use out of it, because the formula and finish is actually very nice.

Catrice Multi-Chrome eye pencil in C01 (from advent calendar 2024): This is an unexpected favourite of mine. You never know, if you’re going to get much use out of products from advent calendars, but I’ve used this multi-chrome eye pencil from the Catrice The Great Christmas advent calender multiple times, and it’s been perfect with a lot of my Christmas make-up looks.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Liner in Cherry: I’ve featured the ABH lip liners in a favourites post before, but I had to shout out the shade Cherry, which has been my go-to red lip liner this Christmas season.

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm in Candy Cane: I love the scent and taste of candy canes, and this balm has been my go-to on days where I haven’t worn make-up. It smells so good.

Wicked (film): I didn’t know much about Wicked, before watching the film, but I knew some of the music, and I love musicals, so I was very interested in watching it. I watched it at the cinema with my boyfriend, and we both loved it! I’m very excited for part 2.

5 favourites – November

Happy December 1 tomorrow. I can’t believe that Christmas is almost here! As always I’m super excited about December and Christmas time; December is my favourite month after all. November was a pretty decent month overall though, and I discovered some new favourites, so let’s talk about those.

Crocs Stomp winter boots (colour: Dark Cherry): I’m so glad I purchased these boots on sale back in the spring, because we’re had some very cold weather in Denmark this past month, and these boots made sure that my feet weren’t freezing.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Soft Glam satin foundation (shade: 13 Fair Neutral): I’ve mostly been wearing light coverage foundations the past couple of years, but I’d heard good things about this foundation, which has medium buildable coverage, and I really like it. It has a lovely satin finish, and I just wear a light layer.

Rare Beauty Always An Optimist Soft Radiance setting powder (shade: Light): I purchased this powder back in June, and I’ve actually enjoyed it ever since, so I thought it was about time that I featured it in a favourites post. I love a powder that has a soft radiance to it.

Haus Labs Power Sculpt velvet bronzer (shade: Soleil Sand): I’ve been reaching a lot for this Haus Labs bronzer lately. It’s simply a beautiful bronzer.

KAYALI Lovefest Burning Cherry I 48 Eau de Parfum: I’ve featured several KAYALI scents in my 5 favourites post, because I just love their scents. I was hesitant to purchase this one though, because cherry isn’t usually my favourite fruity scent. However, I was so pleasantly surprised by this perfume. I think it’ll be a perfect scent for the Christmas season.

5 favourites – October

Happy Halloween! I can’t believe that Spooktober is over by tomorrow. I’ve never been one to celebrate Halloween and spooky season, but I’ve been really into this year. I’ve bought a lot of decorations, and I’ve been wearing Halloween inspired outfits this whole week, and it’s been so fun. But lots of other things happended this month. I had a week long holiday and I celebrated my daughter’s birthday with my family. I can’t believe that I have a two-year-old! Time really flies, and expecially when you have children. Anyways, I’m looking forward to me and my boyfriend’s annual Halloween date tonight (we watch The Nightmare Before Christmas and eat Halloween sweets), and I’m also really looking forward to moving into the Christmas season. But first, here are my 5 favourites from the month of October.

Short pearl necklace (Asos Design): I actually just posted a haul featuring this short pearl necklace yesterday. As I wrote I love me some pearls, and this has been one of my go-to necklaces this past month.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip primer + 4% Niacinamide: You know how much I love the original Power Grip primer from e.l.f. Cosmetics, so I was excited to try the 4% Niacinamide version, and I think I like it just as much as the original one. I’ve used it a lot this past month that’s for sure.

MAC Shape + Shade brow tint (shade: Taupe): I think I got this brow product as a gift with purchase from the MAC website at some point, and I started using it, when I’d used up my Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil. As it turns out, I really like it. At least the felt tip end (I haven’t used the “powder” end yet).

Nobody Wants This (TV series): For once I’ve had time to watch some TV series in October, so I watched the first season of “Nobody Wants This” in a few days during my holiday. I love a good rom-com, and this was really good. I’m excited for season 2.

And Just Like That… (TV series): I’ve been hesitant to watch “And Just Like That…”, because I love Sex and the City so much, but I decided to finally watch it, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It’s always difficult to do a follow up to an iconic series or film, but in this case I think it was done right.

5 favourites – September

The first month of autumn has gone by in flash. The weather was warm and summery until the middle-ish of the month, which was nice, but I’m so ready for more autumnal weather. Autumn is probably my favourite season when it comes to styling and putting together outfits, because when it’s colder you can layer, and layering usually makes an outfit more interesting. I’m also really excited about October. I was never really into Halloween, but this year I find myself really excited about Halloween decorations and anything pumpkin and pumpkin inspired. But before we head into Spooktober, let’s talk about my 5 favourites from September.

Green and pink Nike Cortez sneakers: I haven’t hauled this particular pair of Nike Cortez sneakers yet, but I’ve worn them a lot, since I bought them back in June. I just love this colour combo, and they’re more versatile than you might think.

RMS Beauty ReDimension Hydra bronzer (shade: Beachwalk Betty): I haven’t hauled this bronzer either, but it’s one of those products that was on my wishlist ever since I first saw it, and it did not disappoint. I generally love the RMS Beauty ReDimension line, and this glowy bronzer is simply stunning.

L.A. Girl Perfect Precision lip liner in Pinky: I’ve had and loved this lip liner for years, and I continually reach for it. It’s the perfect cool toned pink lip liner, and I’ve been wearing a cool toned pink lip quite frequently lately.

Fenty Beauty Cherry Treat conditioning lip oil: I like to wear a (tinted) lip oil over a lip liner with a make-up look, but this particular lip oil has been my go-to lip product to wear at home on no make-up days. It doesn’t really have any colour, but it feels lovely and moisturising on the lips.

Tuc bisquits/crackers w. sweet chili flavour: It’s been a long time since I last featured a snack in one of these posts, but I thought these bisquits were worth a mention. I like the original salty version, but I have a soft spot for any sweet chili flavoured snack, and these are so good.

5 favourites – August

I can’t believe that it’ll be autumn by tomorrow – calender wise that is. We are having very nice summery weather in Denmark these days, so it doesn’t fell like autumn yet. However, I’m slowy beginning to get into a spooky season and Christmas season mood. August was another month of ups and downs on a personal level, but doing my make-up and getting ready in the morning in general is therapeutic to me, so all of my favourites this month are make-up or beauty related.

Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt serum bronzer (shade: Fair): I featured the Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancer in my September 5 favourites post last year, and almost a year later I’m going to feature another Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt procuct. This is the liquid serum version, and it’s so so nice. The shade Fair is really fair, but it blends so easily and seamlessly, and it’s buildable. I’m just really enjoying this product.

NYX Buttermelt bronzers and blushes: I’m cheating a bit by grouping two products together here, but they’re the same line/formula, so I guess it works out. I’d heard such good things about the NYX Buttermelt bronzers and blushes, and they really are incredible. I want more shades of the blushes so bad.

Rimmel Kind & Free mascara (shade: 002 Brown Black): My biggest problem with mascaras is that most mascaras transfer and smudge on me, but this one from the Kind & Free line from Rimmel doesn’t. It’s not the most volumising mascara in the world, but it looks really nice on my lashes, and I love the brown black colour of it.

Huda Beauty Yo Glow Gingerbread Latte Enzyme Scrub: Here’s a skincare product I’ve been using for a while now that I’ve really enjoyed, so I thought it was time to feature it in a 5 favourites post. I try to use it a couple of times a week, and my skin always feels great after using this scrub. The scent was limited edition, but I love everything Christmassy.

KAYALI Eden Sparkling Lychee I 39 Eau De Parfum: I’d been wanting this scent ever since it launched, but it sold out quite quickly on Sephora’s website, so when it recently came back in stock, I purchased it right away. The KAYALI Eden Juicy Apple is one of my absolute favourite scents, so I had a feeling that I would love the Eden Sparkling Lychee as well, and I was so right; it smells delicious.

5 favourites – July

I’m so lucky that I got to have all of July off to relax and reset before getting back to work again. Especially the last couple of weeks have been some of the best weeks this entire year, which has been a rough year in general. However, I think I might be ready to get back into the swing of things. The weather this past month has been mixed, but we’re had really nice warm and sunny weather lately, and I hope that it’ll continue a little longer. I would say that most of my favourites this month relate to summer and sunny weather in some shape or form, so let’s just get into it.

Crás pastel striped hat: You know I love a hat and especially during summer to protect my scalp (and eyes) from the sun. When I purchased this hat back in March, I had a feeling that it would be my go-to hat this summer and I was right.

Essence Got A Crush On Apricots freckles pen (shade: 01 Après Apricots): I love to add some faux freckles to my face especially during the warmer months, and I’ve been loving this freckles pen from Essence. Sadly, it’s limited edition. Also, it works best together with powder complexion/cheek products.

Glowish Soft Radiance bronzing powder (shade: 01 light): I’ve had this bronzer for a couple of years, and I’ve liked it, but earlier this year I rediscovered it and found out what a beautiful bronzer it is. It’s the only bronzer I brought with my on holiday earlier this month.

Sol de Janeiro Carioca Crush perfume mist: I’m still loving the Sol de Janeiro perfume mists and the Carioca Crush scent is one of this year’s limited edition summer scents. It’s a very light and fruity scent, so indeed perfect for summer.

Bridgerton – season 2 + 3 (TV series): I featured Bridgerton season 1 in my favourites post last month, and when I was ill in the beginning of this month I watched season 2 and 3 within days. I really enjoyed season 2 and 3 as well, and I can’t wait for the next season.

5 favourites – June

Can you believe that we’re already half way through 2024?! I can’t. Once again, this past month has been a month of ups and downs, but luckily I’ve got all of July off, and I’m definitely in need of a holiday. I’m hoping for nice, sunny weather, but you never know when you live in Denmark. July is not always the best summer month weather wise. Anyways, I actually had a lot of favourites this month, but I did manage to narrow it down to five, so let’s talk about those.

Tank tops: A few years back I wasn’t really into wearing tank tops, but recently my collection of tank tops have grown, and I’ve worn them so often this past month, often underneath another layer, but also on their own when the weather was nice.

Big flower brooches: I’ve been wanting some Carrie Bradshaw like big flower brooches for so long, and I finally came across these two (and a couple more actually). Carrie Bradshaw is one of my biggest style icons, and she’s one of my main outfit inspirations this summer, so these flower brooches are must haves.

L’Oréal Glotion natural glow enhancer (shade: 901 Fair Glow): There are a lot of products like this on the market, and I own a couple of different ones, but this one sets itself apart from the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and its dupes in both the packaging and application, but also when it comes to the shade. This L’Oréal one is more of a cool toned pinky shade, whereas the others I’ve tried are more champagne or golden champagne, so I like to have different options, and I do think that the L’Oréal Glotion is stunning.

Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish pressed powder (shade: Soft Porcelain): I have to admit that I purchased this powder mainly for the beautiful packaging, however, I’ve found out that it’s a beautiful powder. It’s very lightweight and it just makes you skin look good.

Bridgerton – season 1 (TV series): I know, I know. How did it take me so long to watch the first season of Bridgerton. I don’t really know, but I do know that I’m so glad that I finally started watching this series, because I was hooked right away. I’ve already started watching season 2, and I’m excited to continue to follow the Bridgerton family.
