Summer in winter

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. My outfit consisted of darker colours, so I decided to brighten things up with a bright make-up look. I’m definitely going to recreate this make-up look during spring and summer.

Textures

Here’s what I wore Thursday January 3. I decided to combine different textures/types of fabrics when creating this outfit, and I love the mix of knit, wool, and velvet.

First impressions: Essence Melted Chrome eyeshadow

dsc_6514

If often check out the make-up section at my local supermarket, and I was very intrigued by these Essence Melted Chrome eyeshadows, so I decided to try them out.

first impressions

They claim to be have a liquid chrome-effect, and they definitely do. I applied the eyeshadow with my finger, which was very easy, and it felt liquid to the touch. As you can see, it has nice pigmentation and it’s very shiny. In the pictures above, I’m wearing the middle shade, which is called 02 iconic, and as you can see, it looks a lot less gold on the eyes. It looks more champagne though it is still a pretty shade. It looked very nice all throughout the day, and it was very easy to remove (I used micellar water). All in all, this is a very nice affordable product that makes it easy to add glitter to an eye look without having a lot of fallout.

Khaki karma

Drugstore make-up haul

I haven’t done a drugstore make-up haul in so long, and this is not a big haul, but I thought I would share it with you anyways.

Essence is one of those really affordable brands that has really impressed me. I often check out the Essence display at my local supermarket, and I believe these melted chrome eyeshadows are a newer product. I swatched them on my hand and thought they looked really pretty, so I picked up the following three shades (from left to right); 01 zinc about you, 02 iconic, and 05 lead me. I’ll be doing a first impressions post on these eyeshadows soon.

I also decided to give the Essence make me brow a try. It’s a tinted brow gel en the shade 02 browny brows.

Lastly, I purchased this metallic lipstick from Maybelline. It’s in the shade 30 Molten Bronze, and it’s such a unique shade. I’m really excited to try this on. It’s the kind of shade that could look either really cool or really bad.

Triggered

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. This Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick in the shade Triggered is the vampy lipstick of my dreams. It’s the perfect mix of purple and brown, and the gold glitter makes it even more special.
