Spring/summer shoes and more

I’m longing for spring and summer so badly, so I’ve purchased some spring and summer shoes that I can hopefully wear soon (meaning when it gets warmer and the current state of the world is better). I’ve also purchased a couple of accessories. I bought everything on Asos.

Lilac læderpumps m. gennemsigtig hæl - Asos

I love everything purple, and I thought these lilac leather heels from Asos’ own brand would be the perfect spring shoes.

Limegrønne pumps m. stropper og trekantet hæl - Asos

I haven’t had an obsession with a designer shoe brand in a very long time, but for the past couple of months I’ve been absolutely obsessed with Amina Muaddi shoes. Her designs are absolutely stunning, and I’m especially obsessed with the heels that look similar to the heels on this lime green pair of shoes from Asos. When you can’t afford expensive designer shoes, you’ll have to look for more affordable alternatives, and I think these are so fun.

Blå åbne mules m. firkantet sål - Public Desire

Another popular shoes designer right now is Bottega Veneta with their square designs and quilted designs (see next picture).  Once again, I went on the hunt for cheaper alternatives and found these cute bright blue heels from Public Desire. I’m so excited to style these.

Sorte quiltede mules - Boohoo

And speaking of quilted designs, I just loved these Boohoo sandals. They even have a fun heel, which makes them a bit different. I think these could turn out to be a go-to spring/summer shoe.

Bordeauxrød krokodilleprint taske m. multifarvet spænde - AsosStore røde øreringe fra South Beach

And lastly, a couple of accessories. The bag is from Asos own brand, and I just loved the deep burgundy color and the fun buckle. And my obsession with big earrings continues, so I thought these red marble like ones from South Beach would be fun to style.

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. On my eyes, I’m wearing some shades from the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Mini Breaker palette that I hadn’t worn before, but they seemed to match my dino shirt perfectly.

Here’s what I wore Tuesday March 17. I really wanted to wear this incredible dinosaur shirt again, and this time I decided to wear it unbuttoned, though still over a roll neck top (because roll necks are the best).

(Shirt – Topman, roll neck top + jeans + belt – H&M, boots – second hand)

Blue Monday

Here’s the make-up I wore Monday March 16. It’s a terrible situation the world is in right now, but it’s not something that I’m going to go in to details about on my blog. My blog is still going to be about fashion and beauty. However, I’ve been working from home for over a week now, and I’ve decided to still get properly dressed and do my make-up, even though I have nowhere to go. That also means that I can have a bit of fun with more unusual lip colours, so last Monday I went for metallic blue.

(Base: primer – Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte, foundation – Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer (shade: 322 Ivory), powders – e.l.f. HD Undereye setting powder in Sheer + Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless pressed powder (shade: 90 Translucent). Face make-up: bronzer – Physicians Formula Butter bronzer (shade: Light), blusher – MAC Peaches powder blush, highlighter – MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Cold Comfort. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eyeshadows – Jeffree Star Blue Blood eyeshadow palette (shades: Wealthy + Celebrity Skin + Deseased) + MAC Nylon eyeshadow, mascara – L’Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Eyebrows: e.l.f. Brow Pencil (shade: Neutral Brown) + e.l.f. Clear Brow & Lash Mascara. Lips: Essence Invisible Kiss transparent lipliner in 01 Multitalent Wonder + MAC Designer Blue lipstick)

First impressions: Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation

As I wrote in my latest make-up haul, I’ve tried out the Maybelline Dream Urban Cover foundation, and I wrote down my first impressions, so here goes.

This picture was taking right after I’d applied the foundation (shade: 100 Warm Ivory). I’m wearing my go-to primer combo underneath (Wet n Wild Photofocus face primer matte + MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Illuminating Base in the shade Radiant Yellow); it wouldn’t be a fair test otherwise since I always prime first. I’m also wearing concealer underneath my eyes and to cover up the worst spots (MAC Pro Longwear concealer in the shade NC20 + L’Oréal Infaillible More Than Concealer in the shade 322 Ivory). And now on to the foundation. It blended in beautifully to the skin with a sponge, and it lives up to its claims of being full coverage and lightweight; it really feels like nothing on the skin. The concealers blended in very nicely with the foundation as well. It has a slightly dewy finish which looks very pretty, and my skin shines through in the best way possible meaning it doesn’t look cakey. The foundation contains SPF 50 which you can initially smell, but the scent goes away quickly. I wore the foundation for about 10,5 hours, and it still looked great at the end of the day. In conclusion, I really like this foundation. I like it so much that it has been all I’ve worn since the day I tested it.

Pretty purple
