I’m very sure

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I might not have been sure if I liked the outfit, but I’m very sure that I like this make-up look. I think the eye look is stunning.

I’m not sure

Here’s what I wore Friday April 5. Looking back on these pictures, I’m not sure I like the V-neck sweater vest over the V-neck wrap dress, but sometimes you got to try some things out.

(Sweater vest – Zara, top – H&M, dress + tights – Monki, sneakers – Nike)

Monolith haul (February 2024)

I have a huge Monolith haul to share with you today. These are the products I purchased from Monolith back in February.

I’d had the Bellabeautébar Basic Witch palette on my wishlist for quite a while, but it’s almost always out of stock, so when it was briefly back in stock, I had to purchase it right away. I love this colour story, and the quality is great! I’m wearing the palette on my eyes here.

The Gourmande Girls Nightshade palette is another palette I’d had my eye on, so when it also came back stock, I added it to my cart immediately. This also has a colour story that is right up my street, and I wore the palette in my make-up post from yesterday.

I don’t know anything about Rick & Morty, but I’d heard such great things about the Glamlite x Rick & Morty palette, so when I found it on sale, I decided to give it a try. It’s such a vibrant colour story, which I love. I’ve used the palette a couple of times, and I’ve really enjoyed the looks I’ve created with it. You can see one of the looks here.

It’s not very often that I go for a warm colour story like this one, but I was very intrigued by the Glamlite x Garfield palette. I have to say that I really like Garfield, and I think the packaging is so cute, but I was also very impressed by the quality of this palette, and I loved the look I created with it (which I haven’t posted yet).

This is my first Adept Cosmetics palette. I’ve been wanting to try the brand for a while, but the Element 115 palette was the first palette, which had a colour story that I was really attracted to. I love that Adept Cosmetics palettes are shimmer heavy, and the shimmers are stunning. I really enjoy the matte shades in this palette too though.

I’ve been dying to get my hands on these Ensley Reign Cosmetics palettes! I initially wasn’t sure whether to get the Flower Moon palette or not, but I decided to buy it (this is the original version), and I’m so glad I did, because it’s simply stunning.

The Harvest Moon palette is probably one of the brand’s most talked about palettes, and I see why. This dark, autumnal colour story is just beautiful!

But the Ensley Reign Cosmetics palette I wanted the most was the Lands Of Enchantment palette. I mean, just look at this heavenly colour story! All three of these Ensley Reign Cosmetics palettes have amazing quality.

Fantasy Cosmetica is another brand that I’m keeping an eye on, because I love the first two palettes I got from the brand (Warlock and Rogue). This is the Wizard palette, and this blue and pastel yellow colour story is so beautiful. I’m wearing the palette on my eyes here.

When Fantasy Cosmetica released the Wizard palette they also released the Celestial Lights highlighter palette, which includes three colourful and very pigmented shifty highlighters. If you like that kind of highlighter, this palette is great.

The last products in this haul are from Unearthly Cosmetics, which is a brand that I really love. This is the Dreamer palette, and it actually took me by surprise just how gorgeous this palette is on the eyes. I’m wearing it here, and I’m in love with that eye look.

I was so excited about the Unearthly Cosmetics VDAY Mystery Box, which includes the Charmer collection. It comes with an eyeshadow palette, four brushes, two liquid eyeliners, a liquid lipstick, a lip oil, a blush, and two lip glosses.

This is the Charmer palette and it is beautiful. I did a pink look with it here, but I really want to create a purply look with it as well.

The two Immortal liquid eyeliners came in the shades Love Struck and Tears, and they’re beautiful shifty, metallic liners. I’m wearing the shade Tears as a crease liner here.

The liquid blush in the shade Nirvana comes in the same packaging as the lip products and has a doe foot applicator.

These are the four lip products in the shades (from left to right) Bliss, Heartache, Admire, and Puppy Love.

And lastly, these are the four brushes that were included in the mystery box; A4, UC8-1, UC8-5, and UC8-7.

Wearable lilac lip

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I always love a purple eye look, and the lilac lip is just so fun and pretty wearable in this case, I think.

Grey wool kilt

Here’s what I wore Wednesday April 3. I found some very nice second hand pieces in March and April, and this grey wool kilt was one of them. Even though it’s grey, which is not a colour I wear a lot, I managed to add colour to the look with some pops of red.

(Hat + blazer + skirt – second hand/vintage, roll neck top – H&M, tights – Calzedonia, shoes – Monki)

5 favourites – May

May has been another month of ups and down, but I’m beginning to experience more good days than bad. They weather has been very nice the past couple of weeks, and that has definitely been a mood booster. I’m hoping for more sunny weather in the months to come. Let’s talk about some favourites from the last month of spring, before we head into June.

Long pearl necklace: I’ve had this long pearl necklace for about 15 years or so. It used to belong to my late grandmother (I got it before she past away though), so it means a lot to me, and I’ve worn it throughout all of those years. However, it’s been one of my stable pieces of jewellery in May, especially in the beginning of the month.

Colourpop BFF crème gel liners: I love these eyeliners from Colourpop. I’ve got so many of them; the ones in the picture are just the ones I’ve worn this past month. They’re really pigmented and they stay for long time in the waterline.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 perfume mist: I only just recently jumped on the Sol de Janeiro perfume mist band wagon, but now that I’m on the wagon I’m not planning on getting off any time soon. I love a lot of the scents, but my favourite this month has to be number 62. I just got a sample size of this one, but I might repurchase a bigger size in the future.

MAC Gentle Off eye and lip makeup remover: I received this makeup remover as a free gift with purchase with a MAC order once, but I just started using it this past month. I really like it, it is gentle as the name suggests, and I’ve almost used it up.

Rosendahl Mother’s Day Heart 2024 ornament: We have never really celebrated Mother’s Day or Father’s Day in my family, but my daughter gave me this Mother’s Day heart ornament this year (she got some help purchasing it from her grandmother), which was very unexpected and therefore even more special.

Huge Catrice haul (February 2024)

I have a huge Catrice haul to share with you today. It includes their Valentine’s Day collection and S/S 2024 drop.

Let’s begin with the Heart Affair collection that came out around Valentine’s Day. As you can see, I picked up a lot of the products from this collection. Let’s take a closer look at them.

The collection included two blush stamps. They’re in the shades C01 Love Expression and C02 Show Me Love, which are similar shades to the packaging. These are very pigmented, and maybe a bit too intense for my liking.

The highlighter in CO1 Stole My Heart comes in a very cute heart shaped compact, and it’s a nice slightly golden champagne shade.

I got two of the three matte liquid lipsticks shades. The shades I picked are C02 Married?! and C03 Taken?! I’ve only worn C03 Taken?! so far, but I really liked the formula, and the colours are very pretty.

I also bought two out of three shades of the full shine lipsticks. I chose the shades C01 Hearts On and C03 Heartbreaker. These are also very pretty and definitely shiny.

Lastly from the Heart Affair collection, I got two of the nail lacquers in shades C01 No One’s Lover and C03 Love Game, and I love both shades. The packaging is nice too.

Next up are the new spring/summer products I picked up. This is the Skin Glaze hydrating serum primer. So far I like it.

I’m not sure how I feel about the Magic Shaper face cream palette in 010 Holy Grail though. The bronzers are too deep and I’m not sure I like the formula very much.

These are the Blush Affair liquid blushes in 020 Orange Fizz and 030 Ready Red Go, and I remember these to be pretty nice.

Here’s a little bundle of products I got, and two of them are some of my favourites from this haul.

The Space Glam holo highlighter in 010 Beam Me Up! is beautiful. It has a transparent base and then it shifts different colours from pink to gold to green. I can’t believe that Catrice managed to create such a stunning shifty highlighter at such a low price point.

Here’s a closer look at the two lip products. I really enjoyed the Intense Matte lip pen in 070 Re(a)d My Lips, and I know I like the Scandalous Matte lipstick formula, so I picked up another shade called 130 Slay The Day.

Here are some more lip products I picked up. I really like the Shine Bomb lip lacquer in 060 Pinky Promise. I haven’t tried the Melt & Shine juicy lip balm in 100 Sunny Side Up yet, but I also really enjoyed the Drunk’n Diamonds plumping lip balm in 050 Bury Me In Rubies.

The Space Glam products are some of the big winners in my book. These are the Space Glam chrome eyeshadows in 010 Moonlight Glow, 020 Supernova, and 030 Galaxy Lights. I’ve only worn 010 Moonlight Glow on my eyes so far, but all three shades swatch beautifully. These are great multichrome eyeshadows from the drugstore.

For eyes I also got the Deep Matte liquid eyeshadow in 040 Lime Light and the High Gloss liquid eyeshadow in 010 Glossy Glam. I’ll be trying out the Deep Matte liquid eyeshadow tomorrow, and I haven’t tried the High Gloss liquid eyeshadow yet.

I’m very impressed by the Kohl Kajal waterproof eyeliners. I picked up the shades 110 Orange O’Clock, 150 Ultra Marine, and 170 Candy Rose.

Lastly, I purchased three of the Pastel Please nail polishes. I chose the shades 010 Think Pink, 020 Cloud Nine, and 040 Mint Breeze. I love that they all have shimmer.

No (liquid) foundation

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I had to get up early that day, so I tried to do a quicker make-up look without foundation (apart from a bit of powder foundation), and I’m happy with how it turned out.

(Base: primer – e.l.f. Skin Suntouchable! Whoa Glow SPF 30 sunscreen (shade: Sunbeam), foundation – none, concealers – e.l.f. Cosmetics Putty Color-Correcting Eye Brightener (shade: Fair) + e.l.f. Cosmetics Hydrating Camo concealer (shade: Fair Beige), powders – e.l.f. Cosmetics Halo Glow setting powder in Light + e.l.f. Cosmetics Camo powder foundation (shade: Fair 120N). Face make-up: bronzer – Made By Mitchell Blursh Bronzed liquid bronzer in Hollo There, blusher – Unearthly Cosmetics liquid blush in Nirvana, highlighter – Made By Mitchell Blursh Glaze in Sprinkles. Eye make-up: eyeshadows – e.l.f. Cosmetics No Budge cream eyeshadow in Wildflower + Trixie Cosmetics Stay The Night liquid shimmer topper in Love Potion + Catrice About Tonight metallic eyeshadow in C02 Gintastic, mascara – Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes mascara, eyeliner – Oden’s Eye Solmåne gel liner in 008 Lavender. Eyebrows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze + Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim pencil in Medium Brown. Lips: Clarins Water Lip Stain in 04 Violet Water)
